Mo - yay for Dakota, she is a good girl already hey! That is great news and I am glad your milk has come in for you!
Kellie - bad day again today, it seems to be we have great days if we go out to break the day up a bit. Cant be out and about every day! Also Tay is cutting teeth as well, not sure which ones as she has 4 molars and is missing her eye teeth, so maybe them. She is really dribbly, we havent had her like that before! Where did you get your teething necklace? How did the nap and promise of fairy bread go?
Not much other news here. Had a cleaning frenzy today, just have to wash the floor and my house is spick and span. Just cooking dinner whilst DH plays with the kids, so glad that he has taken over for the moment. I am at my wits end again today. I am in the process of finding a 3 year old kinder for Mia, I am hoping that it makes life better for both of us with her having some time out!
Hi everyone! Bit of a selfish post from me tonight. Poor K pulled a heavy cot down on himself today (I had one unassembled against a wall in my shop) and it hit him in the head and pinned him down by his left arm . He screamed in pain and was inconsolable. He had the biggest lump I have ever seen on his forehead and it had a big black gash/bruise through it . I took him to the Dr straight away and was told his head should be OK, but we went and got an x-ray on his arm just to make sure nothing was broken. I wasn't allowed to hold him during the x-ray because I'm pregnant and it was awful to see him so distressed and I couldn't cuddle him. Luckily his arm is OK and he started perking up after a while. I treated him to a trip to the park and Maccas for lunch to help chear him up LOL!
Oh it's been such a horrible day . K wasn't interested in his dinner which is a bit unusual for him, but he's also teething so it's probably a pain combo that's putting him off food. I know he's OK, but I still feel so sick about it!
Anyway, sorry for the long "me" post, I just needed to get it all out!
Some good news is that I get to meet Cookie tomorrow morning! Yay! That will cheer me up! See you tomorrow Mo
Trish - thats horrible - glad to hear that K is ok! must have been very stressful for you! Lucky you getting to meet Cookie - give her a cuddle for me!
Kaz - the promise worked, she slept for 2 hours. She had a great time, its so much fun watching how they play and interact with each other now... and us mums like having a chat too! I'll send you a PM about the necklace
Trish - sorry to hear about L's accident. Must have freaked you out. I am sure it gave you both a big shock, but I am sure the park and macca's made it a bit better . Have fun meeting cookie this morning. Get some practice in cuddling a newborn, as you will have one yourself soon enough! By the way, where in Melb do you and Mo live? We are in Narre now.
Kellie - thanks heaps for the pm. I will have a look into it today, I must be honest and say I haven't heard about these necklace's! The beads look small, are they near impossible to break? My kids are destructive and I can see them breaking them in a couple of minutes!
We had a crappie night here, ended up with both kids in bed with us and me on the couch! I am over it ... we had made the decision that they were not coming into bed with us anymore and we are back to square 1 again as my dh keeps bringing them in! Mia cant handle having the blankets on, so we all suffer. And it was cold last night! Doh!
Well, lucky me got to meet the gorgeous Cookie ! She is so gorgeous and so tiny and looks so much like Mo! Poor Maddi had to put up with cranky, teething Kieran. He was an absolute shocker and they got to see him in all his glory LOL! Maddi was such a good girl and played so nicely, but K was not in the mood. His loss!
K's head looks much better today thank goodness. It looked so bad yesterday it was scary.
Kaz - I live in Forest Hill, not that close to Mo, but it was great to catch up! I think Mo's a bit closer to you. Sorry you had such a yucky night last night. I hope tonight's better .
Kellie - I would have loved to have given Cookie a cuddle, but I had a teething K permanently attached to me and it wouldn't have gone down well with him if I was holding another baby LOL! He was trying to pull Joel's and my hands apart this morning when we were holding hands, he didn't feel like sharing mum today!
Hi to everyone else!
Only 5 more days until my scan!!! Can't wait to find out this bub's flavour
ETA - You posted while I was typing Mo! It was so nice to see you guys, thanks for coming!
Ok back.
Trish K wasn't that bad & he did play for a little bit after an hour. Maddi is just to friendly for him i think
Maddi crashed 5 mins into our trip home, so was so tired from trashing your house lol.
Kodi is starting to look more like me now she's lost alot of her newborn fat.
Kaz sorry you had such a rough night, hope tonight is better.
Amber how exciting i remember the first time i heard Cookie's HB. Such a special time.
Mo - I saw Cookie's photos on FB. She is so cute! Good to see Maddi too. You've got a couple of good looking girls there! Kaz - hope the bad nights are over. I wish sometimes that L would stay still long enough to lie in with us in the morning, but he's always on the move. Trish - I know it's a bit belated, but I am glad K is okay. Must have been very scary for you both.
Had a good day today. We took L to a playcentre this afternoon. He had a great time playing in the ballpit. It has been a few months since we last went and his confidence and motor skills have increased dramatically. He is confident on equipment that he was scared of last time. He was so exhausted afterwards. Good way to wear them out and get them to sleep.
Question - can any of the bubs jump yet?
All good here. Making a pork roast for dinner tonight. DH and L love their roasts so there will be heaps of leftovers to make up for L.
Trish - Poor K and poor mummy!! I'm so glad to hear he is OK, it's so awful when they hurt themselves like that 3 days to the big scan huh?! I'm so going to be stalking! haha. Even though I already know it's a girl
Mo - hope you're recovering well and enjoying your newest baby girl.
Amber - you must be dying without a computer at home! LOL.
Big hello to everyone else. Hope all mums and bubs are doing well.
All going well my way, Jasmine is growing nicely, eating lots...making up for lost time i think! She is slowly beginning to talk alot more and is veery active now....she has a great big sister to teach her bad habits...LOL
Saffi - I think the bubs are at a great age at the moment, its great seeing all their developmental changes. They seem to be learning so much every day at this age. In regards to your question about jumping, when I tell Tahlia to jump she squeals with excitement, and bends her knees and then lifts off, but her feet don't actually leave the floor. She thinks its hilarious though, its pretty cute!
Mo - how is Dakota going? Is Maddi loving be a big sister?
Amber - hope your back soon, we miss you!
Kaz - did you end up getting a teething necklace?
Kim - I think Emerald Lakes is a bit far away for us, so we will give it a miss.
Hi to everyone else!
Not much new with us, feeling very tired today, so might have an early night!
Cookie is doing very well, She is nothing like her big sister.
She sleeps well, eats well, & is usually a quiet baby unless she is hungry.
We are going to breast feeding class on Thursday to make sure we are doing everything right & just to get the support & confidence i need.
Trish sending you lots of pink vibes for tomorrow
Saffi Maddi will only jump when very excited or when on the trampoline.
Kim i might come, if i do it would probably just be me & the girls.
Does anyone want an 18 month old toddler, she's doing my head in at the moment.
Feels like all I'm doing is telling her off. Maddison get off the table, Maddison don't pull your sister's arms & legs, Maddison don't throw your food, Maddison don't lean back in your chair etc...
Otherwise things are going well, she's trying to help & really does adore her sister. She just doesn't understand how rough she is being.
Only one more sleep to go until my scan! I'm so excited!! It's so early in the morning though and I have to drag the two boys out of bed so they can come to the hospital with us. My mum will watch them in the foyer, then she has to run off so it will be a tight squeeze to get the scan done on time! This pregnancy has gone SO fast, but the last 24 hours leading up to the scan are dragging LOL!
Mo - I'm glad Cookie is still going well. That BF'ing class sounds great, I hope you learn lots and come away feeling confident within yourself
Kellie - Lots of people are voting pink for me! I'm sure it's because I have two boys already! All I know is that I'm having a baby LOL!
Kim - Thanks for wishing me luck! I'm glad Jasmine is still going well . I'd love to go to the meet up, but we have heaps to organise before we go away the following weekend. Hopefully another date will be arranged so we can go too.
Willow - I think I'll have a few stalkers tomorrow LOL! I'll make sure I announce it in my gender thread first, but I'll definitely post in here next! Man I hope this baby has it's legs uncrossed, I'll be sooo disappointed otherwise!
Saffi - K can't jump yet, but I also haven't tried to teach him or encourage him too yet! Can L jump?
Dragonbub - I'm glad to hear Caden is back to being an angel for you! I'm still waiting on Kieran to put his wings back on, he's still teething LOL!
Amber - We miss you! I hope your computer gets fixed soon!
Kim - I am not going to the meet up on Saturday. I am being taken to Hawthorn for a birthday surprise! Apparently its for a couple of hours and I am getting dropped off there, so not sure what this is all about!
Mo - I will trade you a 3 year old for an 18 month old. Seriously, Maddy would be an angel compared to Mia at the moment I am sure! Terrible 2's nuh uh ... Terrible 3's more like it!
Kel - No I havent as yet. I need to though, Tay is chewing on anything she can get her hands on, especially loves my car keys at the moment.
Saffi - I havent had Tay jumping yet, she is a climber though. Funny how different they can be from their siblings. Tay is a biter as well, Mia was neither of those things!
Julia - I read on facebook you seen a newborn and are cluckyyyyyyyyyyyy! LOL. Are you sure you can wait until Singapore?
Amber - sorry you are without a pc ... I know your pain! Feels like your right arm has been ripped off!
So all is cool here. We have had big dramas with Mia going to bed of late. She has stopped her day sleep and we struggle to have her in bed at night by 10 and that is early. Bedtime is usually a tantrum, screaming, kicking and hitting. It all started when she got rid of her dummy and she has been driving us batty. We finally relented and brought her a sleep dummy! Last night it worked a treat. Everyone was telling me not to give it back to her, but seriously, its just not worth having a really unhappy child by not letting her have one. I just cant believe so far that is all the problem was. Oh the other thing we have done is brought her a water bottle to spray the scary things in her room before sleep time. That worked well and she didnt say she was scared once last night!
Poor Tay was a bit sick last night. Eating dinner and she vomited, lovely and the meal kind of ended there lol. She was sick all night and then at around midnight a big chunk of meat come out. I wonder if that was her problem, as she is fine since then. Bit grizzly but that is the teeth I am sure!
We have been kindy shopping today, OMG, cant believe its so hard. We have been to see 3 and so far the one in narre north is winning. But even if you choose one you like you are not guaranteed to get it. So I have to find 2 others that are as good to put on my preferences for enrolment.
