Hey girls, not much news to share. My dream run of having kids sleep through the night ended on the weekend. I am really grumpy today, not sure if its because of the lack of sleep, or that I am getting my AF? But I need to snap out of it. I am just about to get organised and go to the shops, that might help! I have to buy birthday presents, otherwise I could easily stay in my nice warm house ... its sooooooo cold in Melbourne! But I no complain ... I hate the hot and would take the cold any day!

Sorry for no pm's ... and a me me me post ... promise to come back later. Better go and feed my naughty monkey's now!

Hope you are all well, warm and have happy kids xx

    Hi ladies,
Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo o Sorry it has taken me this long to get back on here. Yes yes I know I am slack... It just get so damn frusterated when the site doesn't work for me, then last time I was on here I wrote a HUGE message (heaps of personals) and of course everything froze and I just couldn't get it to go throw. Got cranky and haven't been back since! hahaha
    Oh well.
Everyone seems to be doing quite well around here both with their little people and with pregnancy (for those who are!). Kaz - You poor thing. I know just how you feel, Tiera was doing brilliantly then woke 3 times last night and I woke up a little crabby. I hope you are feeling better soon.

Brizzy gals - Ahhhhhh you're meet ups always sound as though they're fantastic, so many people attend, which is just great! Mo - I hope you do get your weekend away up there in Aug for the meet up! Its great meeting those of which we haven been talking to for so long!

As for me - Ummmm well..... This may sound a little left of the field, crazy or maybe just TMI!, but anyways... I think the night before last DH and I made a baby! We weren't going to start trying until my next cycle (beg/Mid May), but on that night we decided it just seemed so right not to bother with protection. I'm pretty sure I am quite fertile right now and this was the best time of the month to TTC if we were to do so .... I think Hmmmm I guess only time will tell hey?! Ah also for those of you I have pn faebook, everything I say on here I'd perfer not to be mentioned as I will not be making an announcement (if &) when I am about 3 months along. Thats also why I love it so much here, that I can tell you all exactly what is going on, knowing that I will have some sort of support what the outcome maybe, so thank you all for that!

Anyways now I'm getting off track... Tiera is just great! I look at her in amazment daily! She is just so beautiful, well behaved (well most of the time anyways! lol), funny and so happy. I couldn't have wished for anything else! She's a chatter box (must have got the from her dad hahaha ) and loves to run and climb. I take her to kindergym every Wednesday, which she loves and I have her back into swimming lessons on Tues which will be great, we start back tomorrow. Mon, Thurs and Fri morning she goes into creche for an hr while I'm working out and I am thinking about putting her into preschool either from the last term of this year or first term back next year, just for a day a week so she is getting plenty of socialisation with other kidlings and I get a day on my own (or hopefully with a new little bubba!), so I think that will be great for the both of us!

Well WOW I think thats should be it for now as I have written a novel.

Take care alll and I WILL be back to chat in the VERY near future! xxx

    Hi everyone!

Not much going on here. DH has the day off work (his work gave them a public holiday today) and has gone fishing with our BIL. K is down for a nap and Joel is watching some cartoons so I thought I'd pop in here! We had a nice, lazy weekend. It was sooo cold in Melbourne! DH kept our open fire going all weekend and it was so relaxing just sitting in front of it.

Pish - Lovely to hear from you! Good luck with TTC I hope your instinct is right, let us know how you go!

Kaz - Sorry to hear your nights haven't been too good over the weekend .

Julia - Woohoo on getting the apartment!!! I had a look and the complex looks awesome!!! Do you have to furnish the apartment yourself? Thanks for looking at my Easter photos on FB, I love our little family

Mo - Poor Cookie's shoulder . Here's hoping she'll continue to improve now it's been discovered. It seems so common for babies shoulders to go out. K's went out when he was tiny, I think it was from getting him out of his lay-back bath seat awkwardly.

Saffi - I hope L has stopped waking up o'night for you! It's so tiring when they do, if K wakes up I use it as an excuse to go to the toilet anyway LOL!

Hi to everyone else! I hope you're all doing well

Quick question ladies - what time do most of the octobubs go down for their day time naps? L has been going down at 12pm for ages but I think he may be trying to tell me he's ready to stay up a bit longer (he wakes usually around 7-7.30am) Might try give him lunch at 12pm tomorrow and put him down a bit later, and try to keep a close eye on his tired signs. He just doesn't seem to be tired when I'm trying to put him down.

Mo - I hope your poor mum is doing OK, what a horrible thing to happen

Willow - K was usually going down at 1pm, but has been going down a bit earlier some day since daylights savings finished. He can't seem to go the distance LOL! He is forced to stay up until just after 1pm on Wednesdays and Fridays though because of Joel's kinder times. DH thinks I should just put him to bed and go and get Joel from kinder (on the same street), there is NO WAY I would EVER do that!

Cool, thanks Trish. We've had a baaaaad day here and despite me trying and trying, L hasn't actually had a sleep today which is so out of character for him (similar story to K the other day!). DH suggested (after I called him in tears ) trying to put him down at 1pm and seeing if that helped. He's been sleeping OK most days but is often protesting when i put him down, which he doesn't normally do. I just didn't know if 1pm was pushing it a bit.

We left him with MIL yesterday and she said she couldn't get him to have a sleep either (not that unusual for her though ), so not sure if this is just him being a bit overtired and out of routine....this boy keeps me guessing, I'll give him that much Just when you think you've got things sorted, he changes again!

Will try lunch at 12pm tomorrow and then put him down closer to 1pm...fingers crossed!

I'm having so much trouble getting info from Mum's hospital. It's driving me nuts! I'm actually missing the care at Casey Hospital.
    Ok vent over.

Willow Maddi usually goes down around 12-1pm now it use to be 11ish.

Trish it's so cold here, Can't believe how much it rained yesterday.

Tiff I so hope i get to go as-well. Would be nice if Phil flew up with us as then we could Take M to a theme park, but he's still refusing to hope on a plane.
I also hope your instinct is right

Kaz hope the girls start sleeping better for you soon.

Jasmine goes down around 1 and gets up about 4 (althought she is still asleep now and its 420). Then bed around 8/830 but im trying to get it around 730/8 now.

She is now on full cows milk at last and still eating everything in sight. Beginning to talk alot more now, still very shy and quite natured though.

Willow - Tay normally goes down between 12-1pm and has been sleeping from 2-3 hours. I am finding she is sleeping longer at the moment, which is good. The earlier I get her down during the day, the better she goes down at night.

    Mo
    - Hopefully you get some answers from the hospital soon, where is your Mum now?

    Amelia
    - 2 naps a day?! So jealous!

Trish - Its so hard to pop here and there and do things with kids! I hate it and I am like you, I cant even leave them in the car in the garage if they fall asleep. I stress that someone might pinch them!

Pish - Good luck with being UTD ... when you are relaxed about it all is when it will happen, and it sounds like you were! Fingers crossed Tiera sleeps better for you tonight as well!

Amber, Julia, Saffi & Kellie ... (sorry if I missed anyone!)

Kaz she's at Dandy(i know enough said). I know they are seriously under-staffed & over worked but it doesn't make it any less frustrating when all i want is too find out she is doing & what is happening with her.

Yeah ... its doesn't take much to put your mind at ease, just someone to chat to you! Its not fair, you guys have been through 2 much and some people should start showing a little compassion! I don't think that is 2 much 2 ask for!

Mo - How frustrating about your mum . I hope she is doing OK.

Kaz - I'm exactly the same, I can't leave them in the car asleep either!

Kim - Glad to hear Jasmine is going well

Amelia - You're so lucky Rhys is still on 2 naps! I remember Joel didn't drop his second nap until he was 18 months old, but K dropped his heaps earlier.

Willow - I swear we live parallel lives LOL! K had 2 days last week where he wouldn't sleep, I was so stressed! I too was on the phone to DH venting about it. The big problem was that K coped fine without the nap and I was worried he was dropping his naps already. Thankfully he had a nap on Saturday with no fuss, I kept telling him before hand that he was such a good sleeper etc. and that good boys have good naps, it seemed to work . He seems to have gone back to normal thank goodness.

    hi everyone
Tahlia is going down for her nap between 11 and 12... she used sleep for about 2 - 2.5 hours, but now she only sleeps for 1 hour, but is then really grumpy about 4.. maybe I should try making it later to see if it means she'll sleep longer??? I dunno... I wish these kidlets come with an instruction manual!

I must be a bad mummy cause I leave her in the car asleep... although I close the garage door so noone can get in from the street, and I live the internal door to the house open and sit right next to that (its where our study is) and surf on BB or FB!

Mo - I agree with Trish, so frustrating about your mum! Hope it all gets sorted out soon

Pish - good luck! Hope we hear a pregnancy announcement soon!

Kaz - I agree about the cold, it has been freezing in melb the last few days

Trish - parallel lives alright, this is what I've been stressing about!! That and another baby on the way of course. I still think he will drop his day naps earlier than DD which freaks me out! haha.

Amelia - wow that's a lot of sleep for an 18 month old - lucky you!

I wish these kidlets come with an instruction manual!
Kellie - me too! Just when I think I've got this down pat, he goes and changes on me!

Seems like lots of bubs go down around 1pm so might give it a go tomorrow. Thanks guys!

Mo - I hope you get some answers about your mum soon You have been in my thoughts.

Yeah I am lucky and there is no sight of him dropping it either. I dread the day that he drops down too one sleep.

He is now weighing.....WAIT FOR IT.....DRUM ROLL PLEASE.......... 15 KG's!! He was 10kg by 4 months old so he has definately slowed down. By the time xmas came around in 07 he was in 0's at 2 months old on the verge of going into 1's. He is in 2's in his tops now but 1's in the bottom's cause he has stumpy legs like mine.

Question for those of you with two kidlets......When I go into labour and have my stay in hospital, what did you do with the lil one you already had at home??

JULIA - When do you actually leave for Singapore??

Amelia - wow, I thought I had a heavyweight at 12kg! LOL. It's also taken him months and months to go from 10kg to 12kg, so he's slowed right down too. Still in 0-1s here though.

I went into labour with DS at about 7.30pm at night - very convenient cause DD was alseep in bed! So DH and I went down to the hossy to see what was happening and my mum stayed at home with DD. I was in a bit of denial that it was the real thing, so when the midwives told me I would be staying and would be having my baby that night, DH frantically went and called his mum to go to our place and stay with DD because I wanted my mum with me! LOL. So they did the switch, I had DS at 12.45pm that night and after an hour or so DH and my mum went home so everyone could get some sleep. I only stayed 36 hours and DH, my mum and MIL looked after DD amongst the three of them.

I wasn't opposed to DD coming into the delivery suite if I happened to go into labour during the day, but there's no way I would have woken her at night.

This time with 2 at home, I'm probably going to stay in hospital a bit longer, 2 or 3 days max. I will have my mum here again and between her, DH and MIL, they'll sort out the kids while I get to know bub and hopefully get a bit of rest before going home.

Question - are any of the other preggie bellies still b'feeding in the 2nd tri or further? I'm finding it sooooo uncomfortable feeding L at the moment, especially on my right side because I have feet stuck under my ribs (bub's not L's )and it's sooooo uncomfortable
