Most of the time though it's "Mum? What's that?", it's so cute!
Trish - haha, same here! Except it's normally 'Mum? What's this?' I still think it's so funny he went straight from 'mama' to 'mum'. DD didn't call me 'mum' until she was about 3, until then and still often now, it's 'mummy'. L's newest word is 'doodle'

His leg is just fine, thanks for asking. He's walking around like it's not even broken I'm calling him Peg Leg! lol. His cast has to be on for 4 weeks, so another 2.5 to go! He has really coped soooooo well with it that it hasn't really been that big of a deal. He is starting to get upset at bath time though because he wants to get in the big bath with his sister, but we have to sponge bath him until the cast comes off.

Sorry to hear you guys aren't well - that sounds like a rotten night for K! Such a rude shock when you get nights like that. L had the sniffles last week but thankfully it never eventuated to more than a runny nose which eucybear fixed up.

PS Missed out on that cot by $6 Am going to a baby and kids market this sunday so hoping they'll have some cots there too. Never been to one before so a bit excited!

Mo - hope the paed can help with Kodi's spews

Kellie - try not to feel too bad about work. 3 days is a good balance and work is so hard to find and keep at the moment, I'd go for it! Tahlia will adjust just fine

For all the preggie bellies - have you chosen names yet?? We've got girls names pretty sorted but still no real progress with boys names.

Hi everyone!! I am trying to keep up but everyone is just so chatty!!! but i will try and contribute...
Day sleeps ? Caitlyn has one?. normally anywhere from 1 to 3 hours long varies from day to day. She usually has lunch around 11-1130 then her nap. Sometimes if she has a short one she is grumpy toward the evening but we don?t put her into bed until 730-8 otherwise we (read I) get woken at around 5am to play?
AFU ? We had caitlyns needle on Tuesday and her height and weight check?she is 83 cm tall and 12.5 kg ? what a little boomba!!! (no offense amber!!) I can't believe how much she is growing. But Tueday night was a nightmare. She went down as usual at 730 and I went to bed at 11. she woke at 1130 and no matter what i tried - bottle, cuddles, pats, blanket, singing etc - nothing worked. Ended up bringing her back to bed with me at 230 so i coudl get at least a little sleep. so of course last night i was prepared and i went to bed early just in case...of course she slept right though until almost 7 this morning - phew!
Every day she is more liek a child and less like the toddler i want to keep!!! she is so very talkative. a new word just about every day. we have decided to not try and rid her of the dummy...will just wait until she is old enough to lose it herself. its just been too hard on her(not to mention me!!)
I love hearing all the preggy and birth announcements from the octo07 mums..wish i was in the same boat but DH and i had a discussion about it and with the way things are at the moment its jsut not a viable option. so we are either going to wait until we can afford for me not to work or until C is in school - whichever comes first. daycare is just so expensive!!!
Anywya - am doing this on work time so i had better run and do some.....mwah

Willow - I'm glad L's leg isn't bothering him too much, they're so resilient at this age. Bummer about the cot! Hopefully you find something at the B&K market this weekend, I have a great cot/toddler bed in my shop, if you weren't so far away I'd give it to you! I am looking forward to all the B&K markets coming up in May, I am on the hunt for girls stuff! Oh, and how did you go trying L at a later nap time?

Rebecca - Wow, Caitlyn is a great size! It sounds like she is going fantastically .

Just got back from taking the boys to the park. K woke up mega-cranky from his nap so I thought I'd take him out somewhere to cheer him up. He's much happier now thank goodness!

    Thanks Trish and Willow

Trish - that is funny how the boys were almost the same. Which B&K markets are you planning on going to? I was thinking of going to one too to see what clothes I could get for Tahlia for winter

Willow - I can only dream of 3 hour naps, I seem to be lucky to get 1.5 hrs these days!

    Hi to everyone else!

Wooo ... girls, so much chatting! it just took me a good 5 minutes to get through what I have missed!

    Mo
    - that is ok about play group, I knew with your Mum that was probably the reason we didn't see you. I hope that you can make it next week.

So girls, we took Tay for her 18 month needle and she jumped when the doctor was putting it in and the needle come completely out, with what I thought, most of the vaccine. I said to the doctor, did you get enough in and she said she got all of it. But she didn't. Do you think I should be worried?

We also had our MCHN check and Tay is fine. Is slightly below average in weight, she was 11.6 ... which I didn't think was 2 bad. Her height is 84.5cm and apparently is above average. So all in all she is doing well. I did feel bad because the nurse asked if she knew eyes, nose, mouth and ears. I was like, um I don't know. How bad did I feel?! So we have been teaching Tay this for the last two nights.

It's funny, because with your first you are right on all of that type of stuff. But with your second, you are so busy that you don't seem to remember everything!

So, I have a gripe. I went to the play cafe today and as soon as we got there, this little boy come up and slapped Tay across the face 3 times. Bit of force behind it as well. I intercepted, because his mother was no where to be seen. I heard another lady yell to her and she come over and said, oh, did he hit her. I am like yeah, 3 times! She is like sorry, he has been doing that. Ok, so I can accept that kids will be kids. But I was so annoyed that she was sitting with her back to the area he was in, she had left him alone, and was quite a distance away. This kid would have been the same age as Tay. So that kind of ended our day out. I wish Tay was a bit tougher in some ways, like she is with Mia. But she completely shut down and didn't want a bar of playing after that. Anyway, sorry to ramble, but I needed to vent!

I'm looking forward to Maddi's 18mth check-up even tho she'll be almost 20mths when she has it.

Willow L has done so well to handle the cast like he has. It's so cute he has learned to walk with it.

Rebecca I'm with you on the dummy issue, I think we are going to try get rid of it at Christmas time. Hoping she'll give it up for presents lol.

Kaz I've got no idea re the needle. Maybe ask you health nurse when u see her next.
Poor Tay, I have the same problem when at a play cafe. Hope your next time is better.

Amelia That's a pretty name for a girl.

AFU-Maddi still the same, she actually slept through last night. It was the first time in weeks that's she's done that. Hoping that it continues. Does anyone know anything about low iron in Toddlers? Maddi has the darkest circles under her eyes, that never seem to go away no matter how much sleep she gets.
Kodi-Still spewing after every feed & now her poo's have turned watery like. She seems happy enough, if anything she's sleeping alot more. We see the Pead on Monday, So will just keep a really close eye on how much she sleeps over the weekend.
Me- Kodi & I are coming to QLD in August. Thanks to the lovely & wonderful Amber

    Hi to any everyone else.

mo do you think Kodi has reflux? She sounds like my nephew! They ended up using a thing called mariners infant mixture which is all natural and it stoppped him spewing after each feed? Am so excited your coming! That means i will have to do a major clean of the house before ytou get here! It will give me the kick in the butt i need!

Amelia pretty names! We have picked a girls name definately and maybe a boys!
Kaz shame about the play centre! We have had that same thing happen a few times and no parents to be seen Hope she is ok!
    Hi rebecca!
Willow so glad your lil mans leg is getting better!

Amber the Dr thinks it's possible but she's gaining weight fine. If it is reflux he didn't want to prescribe medication for a 5wk old. If the Pead says it's reflux I'll look into that natural stuff thanks

    Hi All,

sorry for the length between posts! Ive just been doing some fast reading trying to catch up on you all!

Trish- i know how you feel with work, i sometimes feel like this with tupperware, girls on my team can ring me at 8am, 8pm and any time in between, then i also get customers ringing me too. dh gets annoyed when the phone is always ringing, i answer it when i can but sometimes i just have to let the machine get it and call back when i can. working from home is flexible but sometimes to flexible because you can never really shut off.
Amber- how is Myles sleep going now? I went through a real crappy time with Nixon about 10months ago, he was shocking to get to bed. now he is a lot better but most nights sneaks into our bed. sometimes i dont even feel or hear him and i just wake up with him next to me! but i dont mind if he comes in for a snuggle just not too early or it ends up being most of the night!

Its amazing how quick everyone's pregnancies seem to be going! well for me anyway!

us: Well we have had a very busy April. we end up going to the gold coast for 5 days over easter. DH had to work up there 2 nights so we took advantage and also went. It was good but was very full on with the boys. we went to sea world one day, caught up with a friend another day, we stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment and the boys just run riot and wore me out!
Then we had Nixon's 3rd birthday on the 17th. He had a really nice party and lots of fun but unfortunatley was dappened by loosing our dog (most of u on FB already know) 10min b4 we were leaving to go to Nix party dh found our boxer outside unable to stand. he rushed him to the vet and had to leave him there whilst they did xrays.
i went back there about 230pm and they had only just done it and it showed a devistating bone growth on this spine which had been there for some time and the vet said in 28yrs he hadnt seen one so big b4. (it was prob 2 inches in length) we had to say goodbye to him, he was only 5 1/2. i chose to be there with him while he went to sleep, something i have re run and re run in my head but i didnt want him to be alone in a strange area.
we chose to get his ashes back and dh bought a tree which tomorrow we are going to plant out the back yard and scatter his ashes. it happened so quick, no warning, we were devistated. Our husky is slowly adjusting, she was very quiet for a week and this wk started coming more playful again.

Tyron is going great. he had his 18m needle last week, he cried for about 1 sec and that was it! i took the opportunity to get a whooping vac for myself too.
havent taken him for his 18 check up yet but to me he seeems quiet advanced (in comparission to Nixon at the same age anyway)
he is getting his 2yr old molars which have been waking him up the last few nights, he hasnt coped well with his teeth and glad once these ones are through and their all done.

Nic - sorry about your dog. Nice thought tho planting a tree in his honour. As a dog I am sure he'd like that.
Willow - we have our DD's name chosen (and you know what it is....).
Amber - love the Av. How are you going? How far along are you now?
Rebecca - we're the opposite. Trying to get rid of the dummy and the comforter. It was getting to the stage when he didn't have both of them he would go into melt down. They even have to hide them at daycare and only bring them out for sleep time. So now as soon as he drops them, we have to sneak them away and distract him.

L's vocab is improving everyday. He is now saying bath, am told he says toilet, and says car, truck, and dog all the time. My favourite tho is he recognises a picture of a lion and makes a roar sound and uses his arm like he is We have a couple of books with lions in it and we always do a roar and a claw motion. All we have to say is lion and he does the action. Soooo cute.

Got the 18mth vax and health check this week. Long weekend up here in Queensland, which means a three day working week for me (woohoo!).
