Hey all, I'm around, but my eyes are hanging out of my head and I think I'll go to bed in a minute. I'm using DH's laptop too and it's the WORST set up, it's driving me nuts so I don't feel like being on the net atm LOL!
K is still not too well. His diarrhea has kind gone, but he is still doing very dodgy, offensive poos fairly frequently. He also has really red cheeks, but they're cold, not like the hot red cheeks he gets when he's teething. He started snuffling this arvo and has been really clumsy (walking into things and falling down stairs, etc), I'm a bit worried so we'll take him back to the GP tomorrow. The poor little man. He didn't sleep too well last night, he cried on and off for quite a while. Luckily I didn't have to get out of bed to go to him because he'd only cry for a few seconds at a time, but it was enough to wake me up all night.
I took him with me to the Target toy sale this morning while Joel was at kinder and he was great, as long as I kept the food and drinks up he was happy! I bought lots of birthday and Christmas presents for our nieces and nephews, it feels great to have them out of the way already :D. I have been SO exhausted since getting back though, the trip really knocked the stuffing out of me. And I have the WORST groin pain today, it's agony to walk. Ahhh! Sorry for the whinge!!
Saffi - What a bummer the rooms don't really accomodate your DH :(. Oh well, you won't be in there for long. What awesome news for your friends! They must be over the moon :D. I had two friends announce that they are 8 weeks pregnant yesterday :o Must be something in the air atm!!
I wanna reply to everyone else, but I think I'll come back tomorrow, I seriously need to go to bed!
Night all :)
Saffi Is that the mater? We never had a double bed and Dh had to sleep on a chir lol! so a camper trype bed will be bliss this time! :)
Amelia love the names :)
Hi everyone else Hope your all well! Sorry cant rspeond to all of you wil do when i get more time!
Myles 2nd sleepover went so well he slept all night :leap: So Mummy might be able to go to melbourne for the weekend soon :)
xx
Amber - yes we were at Mater Mothers Private. Are you going there this time? As I said we did a tour which cost $25 (but you get a free parking voucher). I didn't get any new info from it but it was good to see the set up and be reminded of anything we needed to know as well as ask questions.
Yay, for Myles' sleep over. I am always surprised when L sleeps over at his grandparents. He might be a terror for us but they never have any problems with him. Its great to have someone there to look after him for when you want to go away or have a night out.
Trish - sorry to hear K is sick. Poor bubba. Did you take him to the Dr's? Hope he is feeling better soon - that's the last thing you need at the moment.
Anyway, L wants to see lions and tigers so off to an animal picture site.
Amber i hope you get to come down soon, otherwise i'll just have to fly up after the nudger is born ;)
So glad the sleep over went well.
Took the girls to the snow yesterday, We all froze out butts off lol
Maddi refused to wear her gloves but she wanted to pick up the snow & throw it at her daddy lol, so her hands were like ice. Eventually she figured out you could have just as much fun kicking the snow at daddy. I think next time we go we will stay at one of the lodges so we can enjoy ourselves more.
Hope all the mum & bubs are well.
Saffi - I am going well. Morning sickness has come back but is really mild. It is more a matter of me never feeling like eating and when I think about food it takes me a lot to settle on something I can cope with. As for the hospital, my DH has never stayed with me with the girls. When Mia was born, he would stay till around midnight or so, then head home. We were 5 mins from the hospital. With Tay it was not really an option as Mia was only 18 months old, and we didn't want both of us to leave her at the same time. This time, I will be alone again! But I have to say I am looking forward to a bit of a break and spending time with tadpole. I think it will be my only one on one time, so I had better make the most of it!
Mo - I seen your pics on facebook, it makes me shiver to think about it. Bruno is busting to go to the snow, but I went to Baw Baw years ago and got so car sick that it is the last thing we are feeling like doing. Thought about going to Lake Mountain, not sure if it windy going up there? Does anyone know?
Amber - Go Myles, what a good boy for his grandma and pa. Mia has slept at my parents when we all lived in Adelaide, so has not had a sleep over since! That would be heaven! Oh I do lie, my parents stayed at our place with the girls so we could stay in the city for our wedding anniversary last year, the kids were perfect! Typical isn't it!
Trish - Sorry to hear K still isn't well, hopefully he picks up soon! I went to the toy sale Friday as well, then back again that night to get extra's! I have to say, I took the kids and I wish I hadn't. I feel bad that they seen what I lay-by'd and Mia is still I love that! I said these are for all of our friends and if you want present like these, you need to be good and we can write a letter to Santa and tell him. Anyone had similar experiences?
Amelia - Phew, I was a bit stressed, but anytime you need help with throwing people off of the scent, let me know! I seem to be good at putting my foot in it !
Julia - How did your dh's birthday go?
:hello: to Willow, Dragon, Kellie, Paycyn and whoever else I have missed!
We went to Werribee Zoo yesterday, was ok, but my c/s scar is sore today. THink I walked to far? Not sure. It got tender when I had Tay as well. Ouchy!
Anyway need to go to the shops today so I had better go and get dressed! Slacking it this morning :D!
Hi all,
Sorry have been absent. Ryan & I have been sick :(. Been spamming FB but haven't come trolling back to BB in a while :). Hope everyone is well, Ryan is a lot better, had croup and an ear infection but today hes eating normally and running around just has a bit of a lingering cough.
Belly rubs to preggie mums, loves to the kids, and hope you are all snuffle free :). Will try and write personals later :)
Kaz- Trish's DH took their boys to Lake Mountain so i'm sure she would know :)
Also don't think there is a lot of snow left at Lake Mountain might be worth checking out the snow reports before you go. If you go that is.
I know what you mean about the windy roads, it felt like i driving for an hour on narrow windy roads. They just kept going & going & going!
Celtic I'm glad Ryan is starting to feel better & hope you feel better soon.
Thanks Mo, I know the windy roads would definately not mix at the moment! Makes me feel sick thinking about it. To be honest I am not fussed if we go this year, there is always next! But I guess then we will be back to have a smaller baby again. Maybe the year after?
You girls are lucky.....I have NEVER EVER touched snow!!
BBL later to catch up.....gotta start dinner and keep the hungry monkey off me!!
I'm here girls, nothing happening on the baby front. Probably expecting to go at least another week :( Trying not to let it get me down but it's hard some days. Love having my mum here but feel bad she's already been here for over a week for no reason really.
Everything is otherwise well. L driving me NUTS with his day sleeps though. Has suddenly decided every few days not to have a sleep and just play and talk in his cot. He will do this for up to two hours :wall: Having my mum here (and my niece today) is probably not helping, he's a bit out of routine. If he is dropping his day sleep already I will scream.
I have finally confirmed he is teething though - cutting at least 2 molars that I can see so not sure if that's what's going on, but at least he's not crying while he's in there, so I just leave him to it. Scarily enough, he seems to cope OK on the days he doesn't sleep.
Haven't fully caught up on personals but hope all the sick bubbas are feeling better soon.
Will let you know when I have some news (or Trish will).
Hey all! Not much happening around here, K now has a cold which is making him pretty grumpy atm. Hopefully we don't all catch it too, not what we all need right now!
Willow - Don't feel bad that your mum has been with you for a week already, just enjoy having her around :). You need an extra pair of hands atm! I hope L goes back to day napping properly for you!
Celtic - Sorry to hear you guys have been so sick . I hope you're both on the tail end and get to experience some healthy, non-sick time now!
Kaz - The Werribee zoo would have been fun! We haven't been before, we keep saying we will though. I'll ask DH about the wind on the way to Lake Mountain, he didn't mention anything from his last trip.
Mo - Glad you had fun at the snow even if you were freezing! It's always freezing at the end, I really don't like the snow for that reason!
Saffi - We did take K back to the Dr and his test came back all clear. Not sure what the go is, but we're keeping him off dairy for a couple of days to help it clear right up. Have you finished unpacking all your boxes yet?
Amber - Woohoo for Myles having a great sleep over! How was your night out? What's this about you coming to Melbourne??? Let us know if you do come, I'd LOVE to meet you IRL!
I started packing the baby's bag for the hospital and forgot how small newborn nappies are! It's hard to believe that my boys were ever small enough to fit into them :o. K never fit into newborn Huggies though, he as too big from the start LOL!
Willow nice to hear from, fingers crossed Boo doesn't make you wait to much longer.
Trish sry to hear K is still sick, hope you guys don't all catch it.
Can't believe K never fitted into newborn huggies, Kodi was still in them at 12wks old lol.
Hey ladies!
Willow  Hope your ok and not over it yet! Rest up and try to relax, even if you have a teething boy to deal wiht
Trish yup am looking at maybe the 20 to the 23rd of august! Am trying to decide if i want to go alone or maybe wht mum as DH cant get that much time off! Cant ebeilive K never fitted newborns! M was in them for ages!
Well had the 18mth needles even though they are wa overdue! poor bubba broke my heart :( I have some sort of infection so am on antibioyics which i am not too happy about, i dont tend to take panadol let alone antibiotics when pg! Oh well!
Hi mo everyone else sorry i missed you  xxxx
Amber - I hate immunisations too, they're so horrible :(. I hope you get better soon you poor love . You'll most likely be in Melbourne around my due date (and my birthday on the 23rd ;)), so if I haven't popped I'd love to try and meet up with you if you have the time! Where are you planning on staying? K fit into Aldi newborn nappies, but he was too big for Huggies ones, they were so skimpy on him you could see his butt crack LOL! A friend had bought me a whole box of Huggies newborn nappies and I couldn't use them .
Mo - LOL @ Kodi fitting into Huggies for so long, so cute! You have lovely dainty girls, I have big boofa boys
hmm maybe you will have baby girl early so I will get to meet her! Its still un the works and trying to decide where to stay! Will most probably stay in the city I think but open to suggestions :)
Ha ha, with my track record I'll still be well and truly pregnant when you come! Are you coming to Melbourne for a particular reason or just a nice break? Staying in the city would be the way to go, there is heaps of public transport so you can see heaps of things :D
Amber my offer for you to stay at my place is still there ;)
Trish i think K grew out of newborns at 13wks,it goto the point where you would put the nappy on & you could see her little butt crack lol
Amber's coming to Melb because i finally wore her down with my persistent nagging lol
i'd definitely be in on another meet up too! Would be lovely to see you all again! And hopefully kazaraz can come too! I'll be the only one without a pregnant belly or a little bub!
We ended up going to the toy sales, got a few christmas and birthday pressies for other kids as well as a couple more things for Tahlia!
Julia - was wondering what your facebook status meant? is it a clue to an announcement?
Kaz - there used to be a place in Campbellfield that did bungee jumping... not sure if its there any more though
Amber - glad to hear Myles sleep over went well! Tahlia is still yet to have a sleep over!
Mo - glad to hear you had a good time at the snow. Saw the pics on FB..... it looked so cold!
Willow - hope you enjoy the remaining days of your pregnancy... cant wait to hear the news!
Trish - Tahlia didnt fit in the newborn nappies for long either, I think I ended up giving a heap away. She was a pretty big bub too though
Anyway got to go and feed the dog!
Just a nice trip before nudegr comes along and a chance to meet osme of you gorgeos ladies who have been so much of a strenght for me when i have needed it!
Kellie it was tough leaving him but just the time wiht DH has made it all worth it iykwim :)
Mo yes the constant nagging from you and another firend finally did it :)
I knew if i kept at it, it would work :P
I've already told Phil if you come down here we have to goto QLD next time & he said that was fair enough :D
Kellie well done getting things at the toy sale, Our target was almost out everything i wanted by the time we got there.
Mo thats a fair deal :) Now just nag me to post your pressie :P
How bout i nag you to bring it to Melb with you lol
Hi everyone
So....if I nag everyone enough will someone come and visit me!!!! Ha!
Kel - I think I know which FB status you meant....nothing to tell...I think it was major PMS! Good on you with the shopping!
Trish - How funny K not fitting into newborns...Max did but not for long...although looking at him now you wouldn't think he ever did...he's such a stocky little man. The asians up here think he's MASSIVE! I hope K gets better soon....poor monkey!
Willow - Been thinking about you! I'm looking forward to seeing your BA....Enjoy having your Mum around....Try and relax (hard I know!)
Amber - Max hasn't even had a sleep over anywhere.....You're brave for leaving him, but it would be good for you too x Glad M did well with it...you'll have to do it more often now!
AFM - Still loving it up here, but the other night (PMS night) I was over it and was angry that I had to come home and bring Max to bed when everyone else got to stay out AND eat the cake I spent hours making! Nothing would have been good for me that day...I would have found a way to bag even the most positive of things!
Well...better go and make dinner...Love and hugs to everyone xo
Jules keep naggin hun! i will come :) Bugger about AF had all the fingers and toes crossed for you  Sleepover was tough i didnt sleep much waiting for the phone call but hey DH and i had a lovely time together *wink wink* No interuptions LOL
Julia - I'd visit you in Singas in a heartbeat.
BBL (tomorrow) when I can do more personals.
Mo - Good work on the nagging *high fives Mo*!
Amber - I'd offer to let you stay with us too, but we may be a tad busy around those dates! You could stay in our caravan on our front lawn if you like? There are some great places around Melbourne though :)
Kellie - Good work on getting some more pressies. It feels so good to know you've got them out of the way. How much did Tahlia weigh at birth again? She and K were the last Octo bubs to be born so no wonder they were so big LOL!
Julia - Bummer about AF arriving . I have my fingers tightly crossed for you for next month :crossfingers:. I'd love to come and visit you one day!
Hi Saffi!
I just ate a whole stack of chocolate, I'm sooooo going to pay for it by not being able to sleep , but it tasted soooooo good!
Amber - we've got a spare single bed too!
Trish - Tahlia was 3.8kgs at birth... I think she outgrew the nappies more in length though... she was 52 cm at birth
Well Hi everyone!! Its been ages since i have managed to pop in and say hi!! But have a spare 5 mins at the moment so i will do a me me me post and fill you all in on whats happening.
We finalyl moved to Toowoomba and we got a house very quickly thank goodness. We are enjoying it down here - still getting used to the cold though. I have managed to get bronchitis already so i guess thats one little negative.
Caitlyn has FINALLY settled into her new daycare after a few expected dramas. DH is loving his new job and i am loving the predictability and regulations that have come with him working for a big company.
as for me - i am still working full time from home - its been realyl full on since i moved. I start work at 740 and finish anywhere from 4 until 430 depending on the workload. And i get Caitlyn at around 430 so the work never really seems to end. But you get that and now that i know DH is home on a Sunday its a lot easier to cope with the 6 days a week of full-on-ness (new word!!).
I am so sorry for being slack and not getting on here - dont have much of an excuse considering i am in front of a computer all day.
congrats to all the preggy ladies - i note some dont have long to go!! Wishful thinking on my part.
anyway - i promise to pop in more often to see how everyone's bubs are going!!
Bec
Rebecca - I was wondering if you had made the move. Welcome to South East Queensland. Toowoomba isn't really that far from Brisbane if you need to do some retail therapy or have some me-time.
Me post - I am finally getting to organising Bub's room. So far this morning I have washed some of her clothes (to see her through for the first few weeks), put the rest of her clothes into the wardrobe - on hangers and everything (all the pink stuff looks so cute), moved a dresser into her room to put the rest of her things and even got the hospital bag out from storage. Still got to decorate it but its a start.
Oh, MIL brought over a wicker chair for bub's room. She painted it pink and put some new cushions on it. It looks so nice and will be perfect for feeding. Beats the office chair I was using for L.
Did anyone use Aldi newborn nappies? I thought I'd give them a try. Last time we only used Huggies but they are so much more expensive now or maybe I am more of a tight a$$ this time.
Anyway going to have a quick break and get back into it!
Ooooo Saffi - Sounds like nesting to me.... Hehehe.. You better get that hospital bag packedup girl, your making ME nervous, less than 2 weeks to go! Good luck! I cant wait to hear your BA and hear your chosen names!!!! :)
Rebecca - Glad to hear your doing well, minus the bronchitis!! Like Saffi said, Brisbane isnt too far away at all.. You'll have to come down sometime!! :)
Trish - How was your chocolate hang over this morning? Hahahhaa... Not long to go now!!! Im getting so excited for you guys!
Hello everyone else!!! My friend just arrived so I will be back later to finish my personals... :):)
Bec - nice to hear from you, it sounds like everything is going well for you guys! What do you do from home? My cousin is nagging me to start selling body shop from home at the moment and I am trying to nice and gently tell her the last thing I feel like doing is anything more than what I already have on my plate at the moment! Maybe when my tiredness gets better I might consider it, but have two toddlers and one on the way is more than enough for me right now!
Trish - how did you sleep after your choccy fix? I also had a choccy bar yesterday, first in a while as choccy has been off of my radar. But you know what I did buy yesterday that was nice ... banana paddle pops! Yum yum!
Saffi - how are you feeling? Under 2 weeks to go now, how exciting!
Amber - how exciting that you are trying to come down to Melbourne! Be great to catch up when you are here, we will have to try and organise something maybe as a group as you guys have been talking about! And yes Kellie, I will definately try and get there this time!
Julia - i read your post and just think, bloody hormones! We have to deal with so much extra crap as women hey! LOL
Mo - all ready for playgroup tomorrow? Wednesday's are my saviour at the moment, as Mia is driving me crazy. She is so ready for kindy.
:hello: to everyone else!
Had a crap night last night with Tay, she just didn't want to sleep. So I had her in bed with me and my dh slept with Mia! I am seriously considering buying a double bed when we get one for Tay, because I know we will need to sleep with her at times! She was sitting up at 2am going where is Daddy, where is MIa ... I am like it is 2am GO TO SLEEP! She is cute but naughty!
Then I could not sleep, I had a conversation with my sister about her baby name. She told me it is 5 letters and it could be the same as someone's from our past! Then when I was in bed I am like Chloe, that fits! But the only Chloe I know is my old cat. So I messaged her this morning and told her and she freaked out because it is! She now thinks that I have esp or something!
In other news, I am now convinced I am having another girl. Just have a really strong feeling, so I will be interested to see if my instincts are correct!
Well I must go, the girls are playing out the back with their little prams and the silence is gorgeous. We have everything that they could possibly touch that is not good for them locked away, so it is nice and safe. But I better go out with them just in case!
Hope you are all well, especially you Willow! I am thinking of ya, I hope when the bub finally decides to come it is a nice and easy delivery for you!
Though Kaz....seeing as you are off chocolate...I heard a myth that if you crave more savoury than sweet, then it's a boy! I tend to agree a little as I craved anything potato with Max! Only time will tell! Not much time either!
Rebecca - Glad the move went well and at least you are closer to civilisation. Must be good that your in a more secure position now with your DH's work. It can make all the difference when life is more predictable.
Willow, Saffi & Trish - I can't believe you are all going to be popping iminently!!! I just wanna see little babies...gawwwwwwddddddddddddd I want one!
BBL going to take Max to GoGo Bambini!!! :)
Kaz yep looking forward to having the car & getting out of the house for the day :)
Saffi can't believe you haven't got your bagged pakced yet lol
Rebecca good to hear from you.
Julia hope you & Max had a good time.
Not much happening here....
Double post
Mo - I know! But it is now probably 70% packed so not doing too badly. Might need to upsize my bag tho. Remember last time I had a birthing room bag as well with food, money, drinks, massage stuff, stuff for DH etc. Don't think I'll bother this time although some snacks might be a good idea.
Julia/Kaz - I can believe that myth. Last time with L I craved meat and potatoes and this time I preferred fruit and lollies.
Well I am pleased to say that bub's room is essentially ready. She has clothes washed and ready and the spare bed is made ready for visitors. I even cleaned the windows! DH will surprised when he gets home. Rest of the house looks like a bomb's hit it, but thats ok.
My neighbour just told me she is 8 weeks pg! Her son has just turned 2 so that means that both of our kids will be the same age, be at the same year in school etc. All she needs to do is have a girl and it would be a perfect pairing of 2 boys and 2 girls.
My boys will be home soon and the dogs are going psycho in the yard so better investigate whats happening.
Mo - Hope the girls are treating you well today!
Julia - Hope you had a fun time out! Max must be having a blast, you always seem to be taking him somewhere that sounds like fun!
Kaz - I can't wait to find out what you are having! (If you'll tell us ;)) Instinct is a funny thing. I had a feeling I was having a girl this time, but wouldn't admit it to anyone in case I was wrong and it was wishful thinking LOL! I still have nightmares that it's really a boy and I'm stuck with a room full of pink stuff
Becky - No such thing as a chocolate hang-over LOL, you can never have enough! Hope you had a nice time with your friend :)
Saffi - Glad to hear you're getting all organised and getting your bub's stuff ready! I used Aldi newborn nappies for K and they were brilliant. I've bought a packet for this bub too. They are just that little bit bigger than Huggies and cover more area. I'm hoping they work just as well for girls as they do for boys!
Rebecca - Great to hear from you :D Hooray for moving to Toowoomba!
Kellie - Tahlia was a very decent weight for a girl :). K was 4.03kg, Joel was 3.75kg so I'm scared this bub is going to be ginormous!
Well, I didn't need to worry about the chocolate. I don't remember a thing once the light went out last night LOL! I'm getting so tired it's just sad . I managed to nest a bit today which has cheered me up a bit, I definitely can't do that much, but it feels good to get some things done.
K slept the best he has in ages last night, it was great! He must be starting to feel better.
Have a great night everyone!
I did plan on posting yesterday but Maddi was in a shocker of a mood, She was such a terror at playgroup that i don't even want to take her back next week!
Saffi are you going to txt anyone on BB when you little pink bundle arrives?
Trish i hope your not over doing it with all your nesting.
Amber have you booked your trip yet? I'd be up for a trip to the Zoo, i know M would love it more now :)
Mo - seriously do not stress about playgroup yesterday, please! We all know that kids can have days like Maddi was having yesterday! We have all been through it and we know just how you feel. But it will be fine, next time she will probably be perfect!
Trish - today I want to know the sex, tomorrow I will have doubts! I think we will find out, but we are not sure if we are going to share or not. Before I was like yeah, but now I am like there will be no surprise if we tell. So we will see. As for nappies etc, my girls were both fairly average babies, Mia was 7lb and Tay was 7 pound 4. They both fit in newborn nappies for a while actually, both 00000's when they were born as well. Gosh I cannot get my head around going back to that, I just remember when we had Tay how unco we felt to hold a newborn again and change her bum after Mia. So weird.
Saffi - I am all over the shop with my cravings, now I am onto the apple juice and roast beef toasted sanga's! But then last night I had to have some form of choccy, so I don't think we can use my cravings to get an idea of the sex! I have even been tempted last night to buy the intelligender kit. Yesterday I was so set on finding out the sex, but today I am ok again. LOL. It is weird, because I do not care what I have, but of course a boy would be nice after two girls. But if you say that people think you really want a boy, which is not the case. I just want a healthy bub!
Julia - I just read your post of FB, Thailand sounds great. Have you got room in your suitcase? I have never been overseas you know, we were only talking about it last night and I said to my DH I just really want to go to Europe, Ireland and Italy are at the top of my list of what I want to see. My DH is from Croatia, so we want to take the kids there as well!
:hello: Becky, Amelia, Amber, Willow, Bec, Kell, Paycyn and whoever else I have missed! I hope that you are all well.
Amber - just wanted to ask did you book your flights and what date are you thinking of coming to lovely, freezing cold Melbourne?
