Saffi – me time??? What is that??? Havent had that in……well now close to 2 years!!
Kaz – When I lived in Townsville I worked as a typist for a radiology company (xrays, ultraosunds CT’s). Not long after I moved to Cloncurry they contacted me again and asked me to work remotely for them again. So basically – I type radiology reports….all day every day……its not exactly mind blowingly hard work but at least I am good at it! And i dont think i would be able to resist finding out the sex........couldnt last time....
And Hi to everyone else who welcomed me back…..again!!
I am so excited to hear about everyone’s pregnancies……..i think I am clucky…..although we had a bit of a “scare” recently and thought we might be pregnant. Turns out we’re not and I don’t know whether I am disappointed or glad.
All day I type ultrasound reports for pregnant women and I kind of think to myself ooooo I can’t wait til that is me.,…but then I think…I just don’t have the time for another one, I would have to quit work with 2 and financially that is too much of a stretch right now………clock is ticking though I think….and DH was VERY disappointed…..i thnk it’s just the pills I was taking for my bronchitis that are making me queasy all day every day. Plus I think I am putting on my “winter coat” which is making my boobs bigger (happy DH). Did a HPT yesterday and this morning and both were negative. Have been so all over the shop with my periods even on the pill, that I wouldn’t even know if I was late or not…….i guess you could say that I was disappointed that we got negative……but obviously not the time yet!!
Anyway – I have better get back to it……I hope all you gorgeous mums are well!

Hi everyone

Still here. Busy day taking L to MG and then trying to have a rest and do some housework. How come it takes twice as long to do everthing with a toddler around? I wanted to sweep up the floor and then L would take the broom off me, try to use it spreading all the dust around and then take it into the yard! What's it going to be like with a baby and a toddler? :cry:

Mo - I don't think I have anyone's numbers anymore. Any volunteers who want to make a BA, PM me your number.
I have totally had those toddler performances at MG/playgroup so M is not the only one. As Kaz said next week it will be another child and M will be an angel.

Tomorrow I'm getting the baby capsule installed and then going to have a pedicure. L will be in daycare so it will be nice to have the day to myself (and try to do some stuff around the house). Then on Saturday my MG are going for high tea - just us no bubs! We are all very excited about it. Probably be one of my last child free outings for a while so I am making the most of it.

Things are going well here, M is still a handful but i don't see that changing anytime soon.
K is becoming miss personality, always blowing raspberries & babbling away to you. When ever she finds something really funny she will laugh then starting snorting as she laughs. It's so cute.

Amber - you would not believe it but I will be away for most of the time when you are down! I will get back on the 23rd, as I am going to Mt Gambier for the week as my sister is having her baby! What bad timing .. again! :lol:

Nerida - you will be fine when the bub's arrives, I think and I don't want to scare you, but I am finding it the hardest about now with Mia being 3 and a half and Tay is almost 2. Mia is a bit bossy and Tay is at the stage where you can't tell her anything, so I am pulling my hair out most days! :lol: Enjoy your pedicure (heaven) and your high tea, that sounds great! I am thinking about doing something before my bub arrives as well, and that sounds like a great idea!

I am so tired today. My dh went out for a work dinner last night and I was soo soo tired but could not get to sleep until I knew he was home. I stress heaps about him when he is out and about and always have a horrible feeling something is going to happen. I have been like it for ages and it really annoys me, but I can't make the thought's stop! Maybe I am just so scared of losing him I am not sure. I know I am crazy!

In other news we got 3 and the powerball last night, and I just checked and we win $116. How nice would a little more be, the things I could do with 40 million! Lucky people who won that!

I am also tempted to go and buy me a intelligender kit, to see if I can get a heads up on the sex of the baby. I am actually obsessed about it at the moment. Does anyone know anyone that has tried them? I know I only have 7 weeks to wait and I can find out anyway, but I hate waiting when I want something! :lol:

Kaz - I have heard that the Intelligender test is really unreliable. I can send you a link to a forum that says how it works (or doesn't LOL) if you like. Apparently it just bases the results on your PH levels which aren't very reliable. Did you have an NT scan at 12 weeks? Sometimes you can determine the gender from side-profile shots. I posted my 12 week scan results for this bub on BB and most guessed girl :). Oooh and congrats on your win!

Mo - Awww, Kodi sounds so cute!

Amber - Hooray for coming to Melbourne! Make sure you pack LOTS of warm clothing ;)

Saffi - Enjoy your pedicure you lucky thing! You'll be fine with a toddler and a bub :hug:. It all just kinda works out, you'll see :)

Rebecca - It must feel so conflicting when you aren't TTC, but think you might be pg and get a negative HPT :hug:. Hopefully you can work out a way in the very near future to have #2 and not have to work :)

All is going well here. Joel and K both have coughs, but they're OK. K woke up in a super-chirpy mood this morning, not sure why but it's cute! I had a midwife appointment last night and bub was good. The midwife seems to think that this bub will be a bit smaller than K was (he was 4.03kg), but I really won't believe that until I see it. The hospital also now allows water births as long as there is an accredited midwife nearby, very exciting! I am hoping and praying I'll be able to have a water birth :D

Heya all,

Miscarried yesterday morning, 15 weeks, little boy, they think he may have had a clot or some bleeding to the brain, they aren't sure though didn't want him cut up. He's buried in the backyard. I nearly bled to death but they did multiple surgeries and here I am.

Celtic my heart is aching for you ... I had a friend recently got through something similar at 20 weeks. There is nothing I can probably say to make you feel better, but just know that you are in my thoughts and I am sure that your little boy is up playing with the other angels in heaven now. Ty all, just feeling a bit sad, a bit tired and a bit cranky. I just keep hearing ryan laugh and thinking I'll never hear his little brother laugh, never see him run around and make those milestones. These things tend to happen for a reason though, keep trying to tell myself something must have been wrong or it wouldnt have happened..

Thank you all. I got a rosemary plant and a baby statue today, I made a little grave in the backyard. I linked some pics in the 15 weeks and buns gone thread or they are on FB if anyone wants a peep..

So how is everyone else going? Hows all the bellies coming along? How are the kidlets going? Ryans speaking but is hard to understand and won't try and say things properly, is a bit frustrating but he will get there eventually :).

What sort of outdoor toys have you got your kidlets? Supposedly ryan has a massive dump truck and a car with a fuel pump coming his way the next time I go visit the parentals in sydney.. how are are going to fit them in the car is beyond me... there goes the garden :)

As for talking M has become a little copy cat, her new favorite thing to say is Oh Mate, She learnt that from her Great Aunty & she also says Where's Kodi if she can't see where Kodi is lol
As for toys M has her swing set, some balls & a plastic slide cubby thingy. When it gets warmer i'll buy some more things for her.

Haha that is very cute, Ryan was saying "oh jeez" when he dropped things (better than s h * t that I normally say LOL). Now he says "go go go go" when I tell him to get a move on (hes likes to stop and smell the roses... or more pick nything and everything off the ground).

Are swing sets expensive? When I go back to work thinking of saving for one. Any tips? I picked up a brochure from bunings, they have the most awsome set I have ever seen, better than any kids centre... then again it does cost $12K... if we got it I'd even play on it :) hehe, can't afford it though, but still, would be nice!

Thank you I didn't want it to be too over the top and something easy to maintain. I got the little statue from the hippy shop in town. They used to have ones that were a little baby in the palm of someones hand, they are ordering it in for me so I can put it inside somewhere, going to get a little plaque for it when I get it that has his name and the date. If I have a hundred miscarriages ill have a hundred graves with a hundred little hand babies... every baby is special

Lauren - what a lovely way to celebrate Dylan's short life.
As for play equipment, we currently have a plastic fort/swing/slide thing. I've looked into those timber fort/cubby houses etc. Most seem to cost over $1000. The one we bought was under $200 new and I know my friends have got used ones on ebay for less than that. We also have a pool/sandpit clam shell that is empty but he climbs all over. At present he just loves running around after the dogs in the yard. We have a Tonka truck on laybuy for his birthday. We recently moved into a house where the previous owners had young sons. L is forever discovering discarded matchbox cars, rubber balls and other plastic things. No doubt he will add to the archaelogy of toys in the coming years.
Speaking - L's vocab is still very limited and he doesn't do sentances yet and I can't make out many words either but he is very vocal and when he says something that sounds like a word I try to put the word into context with what he is doing. Does Ry use a dummy? I am wondering if L's use of one is limiting his speech development. L does understand most of what is going on and follows instructions well and communicates what he wants. Maybe he's a silent type like his dad.

Nothing happening here. Off to the OB tomorrow to discuss strategies on getting this labour moving.

Had a lovely surprise yesterday. Had planned with my MG a high tea afternoon, but when we got there the table was decorated with baby table sprinkles. So it turned out to be a surprise baby shower. They chipped in for a beauty salon voucher. I used my last one just on Friday so now I have another pamper session to look forward to.

Saffi - how lovely of them that will be great :) I got a massage for my bday and omg it was awsome.

I will troll ebay for kids swings and a dyson.. I really wants a dyson :) hehe oh yes when we dug around here we got lots of toys, there were even toys down the drain blocking our toilet! The plumber even asked if I wanted to clean them for my newborn baby... how's about heck no!!! :)

No Ryan doesn't have a dummy, he has his own language that is really well spoken and he understands almost everything that I say to him he just prefers his words over mine. I've been told by a few friends boys speak later than girls do. He says: dunk u, drink, go go go, mummy, daddy, eh/aye?, shooz, outside, oooohhhh, uh oh, opps, able (table)... but they aren't said very often. He knows to take food and drink to the table, that shoes go on the shoe rack and that we need socks and shoes to go outside and knows what "put it back" means and brings things he knows he isn't allowed and says 'no' as he gives them to me, unless he really wants it then he'll try and sneak them behind his back hehehe. But as I said he says a lot of things, but very rarely, we have been trying to make him say things and ask for things it's a slow and painful process :)

Lauren - The grave for Dylan is beautiful...simple and just what you need to remember him by. As for speaking...Max says loads of things but only we really understand....He says DaDoo (Thank you) CONSTANTLY....like every single time I give him something, every single time we get in and out of a Taxi...it's so cute! He tries to copy everything but a lot of the words sound the same. He has his stand out words...like Mummy & Daddy and he's only just trying to string things together, but it's all gobbildigook to me! So cute though. Toys...well here we don't have any outside toys. At the condo, they have a massive chess set so this arvo Max decided it would be fun to drag a chess piece around with him....dragging it over the 'wuff' bits of the road. At home we had a swing set and a sandpit. He loved the sandpit and he also loved to push around his massive tonka truck.....but really his favourite thing to play with is Mummy! and when I'm in Perth...Charlie :)

Saffi How nice of your friends to do that for you. Mothers groups are such a godsend I think! I appreciate every single one of my girls and I miss them so much. Enjoy your pamper! Whaddya mean moving labour along....don't you know overdue is the new in thing!!!?

Julia - I've always been unfashionable LOL Going to speak with the OB about the game plan for this labour. Waivering between my desire to have a planned induction and just waiting and seeing. Might just go for a S&S on my EDD and see what happens.

Speaking of copying I have to share something L did this morning. DH walked into the room with his hands in his pockets. L was following him also with hands in pockets. It was so cute. Some copying behaviour is just so cute, others unwanted like trying to sweep the floor for me, and others he won't copy like happily brushing his teeth.

Saffi - I remember being in your spot not long ago & i was all for my OB breaking my waters lol
Maddi has a dummy. When she talks with the dummy in & you have to pull the dummy out to understand her.

Just a quickie from me, I have my downs scan this afternoon and I am a bit nervous and anxious about it all. I am sure it will all be fine, but I cannot ever remember being nervous about one of these before. Maybe it is because in SA they just do a bloodtest and here it is a bloodtest and an ultrasound!

Other than that had a great weekend. Had a 4th birthday party on Saturday and caught up with the inlaws on Sunday. I got to have nanna nap both days, which was great! The girls are good, they are in the playroom destroying it, I can hear bangs and crashes. As for words with Tay, she comes out with a fair bit now but doesn't string sentences together. Mia was a much better talker at this age! The cutest thing Tay says at the moment and it is how she says it is .... oooooooooo k. The o is really drawn out. It is also cute hearing her say Mia, as it was Mi for ages. She really put emphasis on the A.

:hello: to everyone else! I am going to have a shower to see if that wakes me up any. I feel like I have a hangover today, the joys of a kids that don't sleep through storms, me that cannot sleep when I get to bed even though exhausted, and Tay that thinks 4am is a good time to have a chat with me! I got back to sleep about 6 after laying there putting up with her nattering and calling out to Mia, before finally having enough and taking her back to her cot at 5.30am! Oh the joys!
