I must be the only person left on the face of the Earth that doesn't own an iPhone haha! I dreamed last night that I owned one, how sad am I . I won't be getting one either, I am on the cheapest mobile phone plan going around (really, no one can better it!) and I'd be crazy to change it. DH is on the same plan so I can't get him to buy one either LOL! We are such tight-@rses
Congrats Julia on getting an iPhone though hahahaha!
Mo - Did you have many symptoms in the early days with the girls? Maybe this one's a boy???
Saffi - I've missed you!!! Great to hear all is going well :). Alana goes through clingy phases all the time, they'll grow out of it one day!
JM - Don't apologise for not being able to chat for long the other week! Geez, it was pretty surreal that day, not much of a day for catching up properly with everyone. I wanted to tell you that I think your hair looks sensational!! I'm so jealous, I'd love to have short hair!
Amber - Are you branching into sandwiches at your bakery? Just tell me your plans involve moving to Melbourne so we can hang out heaps and I'll be happy :D
Last day of school hols here, woohoo! I am so tired today and am very over the shenanigans from the boys. I will miss J, but the break will be good for us all LOL! K is excited about kinder tomorrow, he goes by himself for the first time next Tuesday so I may come in here for support!
-
Hahah Trish your so funny...it does invovle a bakery and it does invovle sand...unfortunately it does not involve Melbourne :( I should be abelt to say more after the weekend hopefully! And dont worry I dont own an iphone either!
Saw Black swan today...very odd but very beautiful! I really wish I would have kept dancing :(
anyway its super hot here am off to find a fan x
-
Amber i wish i could convince Phil to move to QLD.
Trish not till 7-8wks & i know every pregnancy is different but still can't stop those nerves.
-
Ooh Amber, can't wait to hear more!! Sounds exciting :D
Mo - I know what those nerves are like . I get a good feeling that Bambi is a nice sticky one :)
Well, I sent Joel off to grade 1 today! He looks so much more grown up this year *sigh*. It didn't help either when the mums were saying "Alana's not a baby anymore!", I kept saying "Shhhh!" to them LOL! Her speech is expanding every day, this morning she said "Joel, look at that, it's raining!" are 17 month olds meant to be able to string so many words together like that? haha! I put a hair clip on her and she went straight to her favourite dolly and said "Look at that" to her, nawww! I wish she'd actually keep a hair clip in her hair longer than a few seconds though .
K is super excited about kinder orientation this afternoon. He's trying to convince me that he'll need his backpack, but I keep telling him he won't need it until next week. He went and picked out his own clothes this morning especially for kinder - he's so cute!
-
mo keep on convincng him. Nice and sunny up here :-)aww trish how cute are your boys.
Ange myles is not at kindy or anything yet he is ready but i think i am not ready to let him go lol

We are back from Kinder Info day. Maddi had a great time. The teaches seem really nice & most of the Mums seem nice.
We sending M because she is very shy & i'm hoping this will help her be more social, plus it will be great for her to meet other kids her own age & hopefully a few of them will goto the same school.
-
I can understand that Amber! :)
Trish- What a clever little cookie. I think girls talk a lot earlier generally but that's pretty darn good! Did the boys talk lots at 17 months? How did the big boy go at kindy? Lu doesn't go but insists on taking a backpack filled with crap everywhere!!
Mo- where does M get her shyness from? :p
-
JM - The boys talked a bit at 17 months, but not like Alana! Quite a few people are amazed at what she can say, she's definitely a born talker like her mum haha!
Mo - Glad Maddi enjoyed her orientation day :D
K LOVED his orientation! He got straight into playing as soon as we walked in the door and he played with his two friends he already knows. We had a playdate yesterday with one of his friends "M", which was great because they were so happy to see each other and play together today. Alana pulled up a chair as soon as we walked in and played with lego . I'm soooo happy K had a ball - when I took Joel 3 years ago he clung to me the entire orientation, he wouldn't play unless I sat with him. K didn't even look around to see where I was today :). I'm hoping he'll be just fine when I drop him off on Tuesday, he can't wait, so here's hoping he'll feel the same when reality hits that I'm going home. Joel was heartbreaking to leave the first few weeks, he cried and clung to me. I would leave almost in tears myself :(. He was always fine not long after I left, but MAN it was awful!
Anyway, Julia, are you REALLY glad we're chatting in here again? You have to put up with me talking all the time again .
-
Ange i think she may get it from me :p
-
Trish - Alana sounds pretty advanced to me. Immi is only saying a few words. Today she said thank you for the first time (very polite). Immi was trying to feed her baby doll some sausage at dinnertime and wiping the doll's face with a napkin to get the grease off.
Glad to hear all the kindy orientations went so well. I hope they settle in well. There are still mornings at daycare when our 2 cling to us and refuse to let go, but we know that within minutes of us leaving they are having a good time so I try not to feel so bad.
Have a good weekend everyone!
-
Mo How did Maddi go? Max is pretty shy too (doesn't get that from me LOL) so I'm worried about leaving him. He still wants me to do everything with him.
Amber So funny, when you mentioned about Black Swan, I thought you meant the animal!!! I was like, 'odd, beautiful, dancing...huh!?' LOL Can't wait to hear what your new adventure is going to be!
TrishYES I want to talk to you all more. I'll always maintain that no matter where I am in the world, you girls are always 'here'. It's my only normality! Alana sounds like she's going great guns in the talking department. My Mum always said that from a very early age I could talk to hind legs off a donkey so it must be a girl thing!
Ange I'm still so glad you're back :)
Hugs all and keep on talkin!

Wow with all this rain we are getting.
Last night when it was raining really heavy our front yard got flooded up to our door. Lucky our front door is up higher.
You could walk out the door & be ankle deep in water.
The street flooded & our back got flooded. Thanks goodness the rain stop or we would of had a serious problem.
This morning the flooding is going down, only part of the street, front & backyard is flooded.
Trish, Ange & Kaz hope you guys have escaped the rain without any damage.
-
How's your new swimming pool Mo? We had hardly any rain here, it must have skirted around us. :dunno: hope it receded at your place ok.
How's the new place Yules? When do you get to move in?
Anyone else's three year olds pushing the boundaries ALL day?? L is driving me up the wall. The tantrums are off the planet. :wall:
-
We move in on 23rd Feb...I.Can't.Wait!
Yep Max pushes it, but I can't blame the guy....we've gone from living in our own place, to living with my Mum to living in a temporary apartment (read...tiny) THEN going to a house where he will FINALLY have his things back. The guy has a right to be a little put out! Perhaps that is what is going on with Lu?
-
Ange we got lucky only had a flooded back & front yard but we Pakky was isolated for the day.
The traffic was shocking it took people 3hrs to get out & it was impossible to get in.
Yep M drives me crazy, i honestly can not believe how much attitude she has.
-
That flooding is so bizarre! My shop had water running through it (not the first time though!) our backyard dammed up until DH fixed it and under our house got flooded, luckily it didn't reach the electric pump for the water tank - it was installed under the house to avoid the wet LOL!
Ange - K used to push the boundaries more when he was two. But J on the other hand became really hard to manage when he turned 3, it was such a rude shock after having a sweet little boy for so long! When J went to 3 year old kinder I spoke to other mums who all said their kids went through boundary pushing stages at three. I think the threes are WAY worse than the terrible twos! I'm hoping K doesn't change overnight and jinx me now that I said he was worse at two .
I'm so excited, we took the kids to church yesterday and I asked K if he'd like to go to Sunday School by himself (last year he wouldn't) and he said yes. DH took him into the room and he told DH to go now LOL! He loved it, I'm sooooo happy! I am so much more confident about him going on his own to kinder tomorrow now :D. J was so clingy and wouldn't go to Sunday School by himself until he was 4 1/2, it's so nice not to have to go through it all again. So a little woohoo for me! I look forward to the day Alana goes to Sunday School to so I can actually sit through a whole service LOL!
Hope you all have a great day :D

I see we are all BB life members, i'm liking the orange. So much better to know who is life & who isn't.
Especially if RAKing.
Maddi had her first day of Kinder & couldn't say good bye to me fast enough. She looked so grown up.
Kodi doing well, she's really learning to scream if she doesn't get her own way. Can't believe she will be 2 next month!
Bambi not doing so well, having some bleeding/spotting so had an u/s we didn't see a HB but we did see the big bleed in my uterus. So i gotta take it easy for a bit & got back next Fri or the following Mon for another u/s.
Hope your all well x
-
I'm not in orange (sniffs) and my Av will probably disappear soon too!
I have some news for the Melbourne ladies - Saffi's coming to Melbourne!!!! I've just booked the flights so its official. Coming down over Easter, so if anyone's around let me know. It would be nice to finally meet some of you in person.
