Nickers- i totally missed your post. Did it take you long to conceive the boys? I can't remember. Can not believe Nixon is 5 already! Where does the time go? Good luck TTC the third one.
Yules- i have to check out your blog. I haven't done a blog post forever, i should really but when i'm grumpy i don't feel like it.
Trish- i only made the buns because i had to. Cooking from scratch certainly takes on a new meaning when you don't have access to anything. What are you nervous for?! You'll be fine, no need to be nervous! I'll beat anyone up who is mean to you. Ok, so i've never had a fight in my life but i'd give it a shot!
I'm here feeling much more human than before which is good still have bad days but even they aren't as bad as before now.
Kodi had a nice day for her birthday & she got a little bike which she loves. She can almost ride it as well unlike Maddi who just doesn't want to put the effort in to learn lol
Nothing else much happening here, i do have my 13wk scan on Fri so i'm looking forward to that :)
Hi all
Trish - congratulations on your appointment! About time Kelly made you a mod.
We are all well, thanks for asking.
Mo - pleased to hear that you are feeling a lot better.
At home today as M was sent home yesterday after a couple of icky nappies. So frustrating because she is perfectly well. But I can understand the reasons why and it gives me a day off work with my girl and a chance to catch up on some things.
Far out Saffi, if my kid had to stay home because of a runny nappy, they'd never go anywhere?!
Glad you're on the mend Mo. x
I know! M's nappy's are not the best as it is. I'm not complaining tho, I've done a few loads of washing, started sorting through the filing cabinet, and while M is down for her nap I'm going to do some ironing and watch a movie or some trashy soap. And tomorrow is my day off, so in a way I'm having an unplanned weekend.
Well sounds alright then! Lu was intolerant to dairy and had runny nappies for the first 18 months of her life! I say skip the ironing and go straight to the trashy movie!
K was the same till we changed her to A2 milk. The nappies she use to have ewwww.
Hi everyone
Thanks Ange and Mo for the suggestion about lactose intolerance. M's been on lactose free milk since the weekend and I am really noticing a difference in her nappies. I don't know why I didn't think about it before. `
That's great Saffi! I hope it stats like that.
We started with the lactose free but ended up on A2. It might be the lactose but I incorrectly thought that was our problem so I'll share just in case you need the info!
Sometimes it's not the lactose but the protein in the milk, as was the case with Lu. A2 milk has a different protein that seems better tolerated by many. The lactose free milk is uht, and I think that may alter the protein as we did have some better results with it. But I ended up having intolerance testing done and discovered the protein was our problem. Now, when we can get it, we all drink A2. So if lactose free doesn't work, try the A2. :)
K is the same it's the protein in normal milk she can't handle. We all drink A2 now & even Maddi is doing better on it.
That is great news Saffi & i hope she stays like that as well :D
Hi again
I looked at the A2 milk but thought I'd try lactose free first. Probably would be a good idea to have the intolerance testing done. I'm still giving her normal yoghurt but I think that is better tolerated than milk.
If it's working, I say stick with it! :)
Kodi can only handle some yogurts so stick to the Jalna ones for her. It's almost impossible to find the A2 yogurts here tho.
which ones do you give Lu Ange?
Saffi if it works for her i wouldn't bother changing. Only reason we changed is because Maddi wouldn't drink it & it gets expensive buying different milks.
We always had Jalna or goats yoghurt. But Lu has grown out of it and can tolerate any dairy now with no repercussions.
I can't wait for that day. K had ice cream the other day & had the runs for 3 days. Then she had too much cheese & her bowels are still trying recover. She's been a dairy free diet & only having milk for almost a week now.
That's great Lu grew out of it :D What age was she?
I tried her at about 2 and a half and she was fine.
Poor K!
I hope K out grows it by then to & yeah i really feel for her when it gets this bad :(
I felt really bad because i didn't even think about how much cheese she had till the next day when it was too late.
