Maddi sleept really well last night as well, 5 hours then woke up for her feed then another 4 hours.
Now she's sleeping again.
Have fun at the photo shoot & the engagement party Amber.
Qhi how cute is Will & sounds like Theo is one content little baby.
Fingers crossed he's gained alot of weight :)
-
Yay, we finally made it! India couldn't wait to meet her new baby buddies :D Just finished a 25 min feed so I thought I'd drop in quickly and say hi before she wakes up again!
OMG, my nipples are SORE! Indie's mouth is like a vacuum cleaner...HTH does she suck so damn hard?! LOL I've got tiny blisters on my nipples which isn't cool...rubbing breast milk on them after each feed doesn't seem to be doing much, so I think I may need to buy some cream. Any suggestions?
The little minx seems to prefer sleeping during the day, and waking during the night. We had an awful night last night, she didn't sleep for more than a couple of hours and it took us until about 1am to settle her :( Going to try and keep her up more during the day and hope that she'll be exhausted by night.
How is everyone going with reading their baby's cries? Anthony & I are still trying to decipher India's...I feel like a bad mummy for not knowing what's wrong with her straight away!
All of the bubs are just so gorgeous...but I wouldn't expect anything less from such a gorgeous bunch of gals! :D It's so great that we get to continue the journey together, poo explosions & all! LOL :grouphug:
-
Lansinoh Bel, from the pharmacy. My nipples are killing me too. I have been walking around with them hanging out all day again today, fresh air supposedly good! Put Lansinoh on after every feed.
I know i shouldn't say it outloud, but am touching lots of wood. Luella only cries if she is hungry, or cold (ie getting taken out of bath and shower) i am very lucky. She makes a funny noise if she needs to burp but no cry. Maybe its a pay off for having morning sickness for most of pregnancy! So not getting much practice at reading cries.
Speaking of poo, i got sprayed last night! Man that poo can travel......
Headache AGAIN today, BP still high, making me feel like rubbish. Sick of having headache......whinge whinge whinge
-
Weighed Theo at the chemist yesterday...He's put on 110g in 7 days...I think that's pretty good! Heck, I think any gain is a good sign right? *scratches head*
When we went for the weigh, I got sprayed with poo while he was on the scale! I felt like such a dope, had to bring him home in just the jacket, because his jump suit was covered in poo! And I am supposed to know what I am doing, second time round and all!
Glad that Luella seems so happy, and Belle, your nipples will get tougher with time, as their mouths get bigger, and you get more used to it. Lanisoh (or however you spell it!) is good, and time helps too!
It's kind of like when you were a kid in summer...at the start, you couldn't cross the hot road barefoot at the beginning of summer, but by the end, the soles of your feet are like leather? :)
-
Bring on the leather nipples i say......
-
Still no leather, still lots of pain.........darn it!
-
Hello ladies and babies.............Finally made my way over here and have read all the posts and am very pleased to see that many of the feelings such as being teary has been experienced by some of you.
So far things with Maddison are going well - due to feeding issues I was unable to breast feed so we are FF and although am a tad disappointed only want to do what is best for her and assures that she is fed.
Well done on the weight gain for Theo qhi, as yet we haven't had a second weigh in, was going to go to the chemist today but just far to hot to be in the car so will wait till Wednesday when the weather is supposed to cool down. Maddison lost 150g while in hospital so hoping she will be gaining that back soon.
Sorry to the gals whose nipples are feeling sore - hope they get tougher soon. Lansinoh is great stuff though I used to use it with James when he got rashes on his face and swear by it.
Was going to post a huge response but since Maddison has gone to sleep I think I better steal my time and head to bed to catch some zzzzzzzzzzzz's. Nights are when she is most restless - she seems more windy and likes to sleep in the bed with us rather than her cradle. So will pop on tomorrow..................*night night*

hi girls and bubbas!
well what a night! Myles only slept for max 2hrs at a time! He is just a feeding machine! We went to the child health clinic yesterday to have him weighed! Our peadatrician wants him weighed each week? We thought he had put on weight from last week when he was weighed at our gp but the nurse thinks he has lost some, but she said the gps scales may be out and not to worry as he looks like he is being fed lots! chubby cheeks and legs!
Im feeling much better, sticthes have healed really well i think? no more pain down there anyway! Getting used to the short naps between feeds and coping ok with the feeding! We had our first big adventure on sunday, We went to the gardens in the city and had lunch with my mum dad brother and his GF! My mum took a whole roll of film! Myles was great he loves his pram and being outside!
Ursula Gee Maddison is a cutie! Dont feel disapointed about the feeding! as long as maddison is healthy and feeding!
Qhi Good on theo for the weight gain! i hear you on being sprayed with poo! ahh the joys of being a mum!
ange hope your feeling better soon! it must be hard having a headache and not getting much sleep! hows the nipples? hope they are toughening up! i have heard getting them in the sun is good too, hope you dont have nosey neighbours!
belle myles is like a vacum too! the first week my nipples were awful, blisters cracks and blood but now there fine! Its hard determining the cries, especially wehn there fed burped and changed...They couldnt possibly want to eat again?
Mo hope maddi i still sleeping well! photos went well except for the pee all over my dress!haha!
well hopefully we will have some more mums and bubs in here soon! Sorry about the spelling and stuff its hard typing with one hand!
-
We see our Nurse again today, I wonder how much weight Maddi has gained. She feels so much more heavier now.
Maddi slept well last night 5 hours then up for an hour then slept for 3 hours.
Ursula our Maddison's are so much alike, Maddi hates sleeping in her cot/bassinet & she's also a very windy baby.
Ange hope your BP has come down & your headaches are gone.
Amber Maddi went through that stage at around 2 weeks as well, apparently it's when they start to double their appetite. Hope tonight goes better for you.
-
Mo - isn't that such a cool thing how they are alike. I've noticed an increase in Maddison's appetite, seems she is always more hungry at night but just not so sure cos I think she is comfort sucking to get to sleep, she doesn't like the dummy though so we have this magical two hours around 9-11pm where she snacks, sleeps, gets wind and then finally goes to sleep. Last night though she woke at 1.30 and then at 5 and slept for some time in the cradle.........
Amber - sounds like Myles is doing well and your day out sounds lovely, bet some of those photos your mother took will be awesome cos the gardens will provide for a great backdrop.
Belle - how's India and those nipples of yours??? hopefully they are geting better, the whole concept of blood makes me think you must be in heaps of pain.
Ange - did the drs give you any BP meds or they just waiting to see if it goes back down on its own? Drinking water will help esp. if you experienced swelling in hands and feet after the birth. How is Luella?
Time to go change a pooey nappy after some serious grunting action from my little girl...............
-
Hello mums and bubs!
Thanks for all the recommendations for Lansinoh...seems to be brilliant stuff and lots of mums swear by it. I'm happy to report that my nipples are toughening up...finally! Not quite to the leather stage, but they're getting there ;)
We've had a really great couple of nights, with India only waking every 3-4 hours (instead of every 1-2!) so Mummy and Daddy are much happier :D We have a nurse from the Early Childhood centre coming to visit on Thurs so she'll weigh Indie then I imagine. At 4 days post-birth, she'd only lost 5g of her birth weight!! The middies couldn't believe it, said they'd only seen that happen a couple of times before. It was a huge relief as I was paranoid that I wasn't providing enough milk, especially as I had no leaks pre-birth. Glad I make a good cow! :D
Ange, you are so lucky that Luella doesn't cry much! We had an awful couple of hours with Indie yesterday - she was wailing for no apparent reason :( She was fed, burped, changed, cuddled, didn't have wind, wasn't too hot/cold...but she just cried and cried. That sux about your BP still being high...is there anything you can do/take for it? LOL @ the projectile poo!
Qhi, WTG on Theo's weight gain...I'd say any weight gain is good! What a cheeky boy, pooing while he was being weighed! LOL I'm sure you'll take at least one spare change of clothes for him everywhere now ;) Bring on the leather nipples!
Ursula, I think the tears are completely normal...I'm blaming the hormones! I didn't have the 3-day blues - mine didn't arrive until day 6...felt a little overwhelmed by it all, but we are back on track now. Getting into a routine certainly helps! Don't feel sad about FF Maddi...you have to do what is best for your baby :) Hopefully she will be happier about sleeping in her cradle soon. We had India in bed with us a few times as it was the only way she'd settle.
Amber, WTG on your first big adventure! It's very exciting (and damn nerve-wracking!) when you start venturing out into the big wide world. Sorry that Myles only slept for a couple of hours at a time last night - nights like that are really tough, make sure you take some time out for an afternoon nap! I totally hear you on wondering how bub could possibly be hungry again!! LOL
Mo, how did your appt go today? Sounds like Maddi is a brilliant sleeper - I could only dream of getting a 5 hour gap between feeds!
We need some more bubbas in here...where is the rest of the gang?! I think it's only Viv, Yael, Kim and Catherine who are yet to pop...
*runs off to detonate labour bomb in the Oct 1-15 thread*
-
Appt went well, Maddi gained 300 grams & is now 51cms long.
Belle i wish Maddi slept that well everynight, Only seems to be once a week twice if i'm really lucky.
Ursula i think its' great that our 2 Mj 's are so like :)
-
I don't know about you ladies, but i struggle late at night! I am a good 8hrs sleep a night kinda gal, and feeding every 3 hrs seems so hard. Pathetic i know. It all seems fine in the day but at 3am i feel like i can't do it anymore. I know it will get better.......then when she is 3, i'll be wishing she was 3 weeks old again!
Mo- Sounds like Maddi is doing well, 300g and a few cm is great.
Belle- WTG on being a good cow! Love a gal that likes her food, go India!
Ursula- I know what you mean about the comfort sucking, particularly at night. Luella has me sussed out already i think! She gives all the hunger signs then i give her some boob and she just falls asleep, cheeky little monkey. I don't want boob to become substitute for a dummy, but sometimes its hard to know if she really is hungry or not! By the time i give her some and discover she just wanted a compfort suck it is too late!
Also speaking of her having me wrapped around her finger, she will be wrestless in her basinette, squirming and letting out a few random cries. I pick her up and she will instantly relax and go to sleep! Or i put her next to me in bed.......snoring in an instant....... got me worked out, hasn't she? When she is unsettled in the night, i don't mind leaving her to settle herself, but it means i don't sleep, talk about rock and a hard place.
Amber- how is Myles going? Still feeding every 2 hrs. I hope you are getting some rest. How was his weight gain?
Qhi- how's things with you and Theo?
Speaking of weight i have shed 12kgs now without trying, woo hoo to that. (Only about 15 to go...:cryinglaugh:)
Loving the HAB, she snores her little head off as soon as i pop her in. We walked to the shops again yesterday, i love carrying her around. ;)
Now.......where's the rest of those babies????
-
forgot to say, re my bp, doc is hoping it will just take a couple of weeks to settle down. If not will have to look at why it's high and prob take some meds.....
-
Just a quick hello!! Technically we are a September baby - just... but have to keep in touch with out Oct BBs!!...
We have had a very tough couple of weeks!... Kaylee was born on the Sat, on Tues we came home from hospital, only just got the ok - as Kaylee had lost 10% of her birth weight and was a little jaundice, but blood test came back as below the requirement for phototherapy. Then had visiting midwife Wed & Thurs, and Friday had a different one who took on look at Kaylee and was very concerned. Her jaundice was quite bad and she had little pussy pimple looking rash all over her body - quite bad on her neck and face... She organised for us to go back into the hospital to see the paediatrician, who examined Kaylee, ordered some blood tests and had us admitted back into hospital and Kaylee put straight under the double phototherapy lights! We ended up spending the weekend in hospital and Kaylee was under the lights for nearly 48-hours. The Dr was also concerned she might have an infection, which she didn't thankfully - but her jaundice was a lot worse than we originally realised. Turned out she wasn't getting much milk from my boobs, if anything. So spent the entire time at hospital, every 3-hours = express, then b/f, then top-up with EBM & BMS, then express again. Continued b/f, topping-up with EBM & BMS, and expressing for another week after leaving the hospital for the second time - to discover that my supply still wasn't increasing, even with the drugs they had given me and it seams my 'tubes' or something not quite right in my boobs as the flow also extremely bad, i.e. anatomy problem. So eventually after lots and lots of stress and tears, and Kaylee still not gaining weight even with top-ups, we gave in and accepted my body simply not suited to b/f and switched to formula 100% on Sunday. Since then Kaylee is doing 200% better and so am I, and as of yesterday weigh with the child health nurse she has finally put on weight and is now over her birth weight :)!!!
Still very tired and not a lot of spare time, I dunno how you ladies have time/energy to be online so much?! Kaylee is very unsettled at night, so not getting much sleep, but keep getting told that is very normal...
Hope you are all well and happy!! And everyone is enjoying their little bundle of joy :)!!
-
Glad Kaylee is doing better now Peta. She's a little cutie. Sounds like you persisted a long time before switching to formula. I'm not sure i would have been so patient! Main thing is she is getting all the nutrients she needs now.
Luella is technically a sep baby too, but how can i just leave all these fabbo Octo girls?! I'm too shy to start over....................what? you guys don't believe me?! ok, maybe not, but i kinda like the oct gals!
I am a wreck of an evening, but full of energy in the day. Luella still only has about 3 awake hours a day, so i have a bit of spare time, besides that i am not doing any cooking, cleaning or anything else useful really! Just being a cow.... Moooooooo.
Nickers- hope you are and Tyson are doing ok, just wanted you to know i was thinking of ya and look forward to seeing you back home and in here!
How is everyones appetite, mine has gone...........*looks under couch* nope not there. Am eating just b/c i know i need to so this cow can make some milk, but i am really not hungry at all.
-
ange im the same! i think its more finding the time to eat! My brain doesnt seem to register when im hungry really cause i keep thinking about when i have to feed him next is he going to sleep long, nappies, breastpads, washing, more washing......the list goes on! I think myles is putting on weight!god he must be he eats sooo much! Hope your blood pressure is getting better!
Peta so glad to hear kaylee is better! she is a cutie!
Belle myles only lost 5g too, DH likes to call me the milkybar! He drinks so fast it goes down the wrong way and he almost chokes! its really scary! He is one greedy boy!
Well today wasnt the best of days! I am an emotional wreck! Myles wouldnt settle and i just keep bursting into tears! So i took it out on dh! poor guy he is trying his best!
After such a nice day yesterday at baby yoga to such a crappy day today!
I know its going to get better but im really missing me time! I would never change anything or wish myles wasnt here but its so full on! Its really hard at night being alone too cause i dont have that extra support from DH! Sorry im rambling! I am totally enjoying every minute but am a bit overwhelmed!:crying:
well im off to go cry some more before the little tyke wakes up and wants to feed like a piggy again!lol!
Sorry for having a rant which probably makes no sense!
Hope your all doing better than me!
-
Amber Maddi is having one of those days as well.
She wants to be held all the time, if i leave the room while she sleeping she'll wake up a few mins later screaming because i'm not there(how does she know?).
Sometimes i think my milk just isn't enough to keep her satisfied, which is why she's so unsettled.
Ange are you going to the pregnancy & baby expo tomorrow?
I don't feel hungry either but i try my best to eat.
Peta glad Kaylee is doing better.
-
Hello mums and bubs!
Amber, sorry you're having a rough day. For us first-timers, it's such a steep learning curve and there are definitely times when it seems a bit overwhelming. Totally normal! Don't beat yourself up about wanting some 'me' time...it's a huge adjustment having to get used to having a little person who is dependent on you for absolutely everything. Maybe ask your DH for a little extra help at night if you're finding it difficult? My DH jumps out of bed to change India to give me an extra 10 mins of sleep before I have to get up and feed her. It's makes an enormous difference to know that you're supported so don't be afraid to ask him for help! Hang in there, honey
Mo, WTG on Maddi gaining 300g! It sounds like she's getting more than enough milk, so I doubt that's why she's unsettled. It seems that some bubs just need to be held! India definitely has her moments...some nights Daddy has to walk laps with her around the house for ages before she settles! LOL
Ange, I was a 7-8 hour sleeper pre-baby too, so the waking every 3-4 hours now definitely takes some getting used to. It has to get easier, doesn't it?! LOL Woo hoo for shedding 12kgs without doing anything! :confetti: You know, I read somewhere that B/F burns something like 1000 calories a day! I found the weight just drop off every day after giving birth...I still have a little bit of a belly to work off, but I dropped 10kgs without lifting a finger. Hopefully your BP will correct itself and you won't have to start on meds, btw.
Peta, it's great to hear from you! I've been wondering how you and the gorgeous Miss Kaylee are getting on. Sorry to hear you've had a rough couple of weeks, but it sounds like everything is looking up now. It's great that Kaylee is over her birth weight!
I had a home visit from the early childhood centre middy this afternoon. India has put on 350g in 6 days! The middy was thrilled with her weight gain, said I must be feeding her really well *proud mummy moment* Thank god my milk is settling down and my boobs have finally softened...they were so huge and hard before that I looked like I had Jordan-sized implants! LOL
Anthony is back at work now and has his first overnighter tonight :( *boo hoo* As much as he's going to miss his girls, I think he's secretly been looking forward to it because he gets a full 8 hours sleep tonight! LOL *jealous*
-
Was thinking about it Mo. Either tomorrow or on the weekend. Are you in Melb? Are you going?
Amber i hear ya on the night time thing. OMG it is sooooooo hard in the middle of the night. tears last night 3am "its tooooooo haaard!" waaaaaah......this was after she wanted to be fed at 2hr intervals and then weed all over first nappy, pood on second nappy, then wanted to play and not sleep!
It all seems better in the daylight hours!
Bp 140/92 today. yipppeeeee for me, it's coming down.
-
Posting on top of ya Belle!
Good luck tonight on your own. Brave gal!
-
Ange, woo hoo for your BP coming down! Looks like you won't be needing meds after all :D Sorry about your 3am tears and constant nappy changes! If it makes you feel any better, India has developed a habit of waiting until we have her nappy off and THEN peeing or pooing everywhere. Cheeky minx! Perhaps I forgot to mention to her that she's supposed to do her business IN the nappy, not all over Mummy and Daddy after we take it off
I forgot to say in my other post that Indie slept through for 5 hours the other night!!! She has consistently slept for 3-4 hours between feeds for about 4 nights now, so (touch wood!) we're getting into a decent routine...FINALLY! :D
-
Yea that's what the nurse said about my milk as well, It's just hard not knowing why she's so unsettled.
I know she gets really bad wind pains, but she's burping alot more now which is good.
Ange, We are going tomorrow. We live in Dandenong North.
That's great news about your b/p :)
Belle great news about India putting on 350g & sleeping for 5 hours.
Maddi & I had a great sleep last night, had a feed at 10:30pm slept till 2:30am, then slept from 3:10am till 8pm.
She made up for it by not sleeping through the day tho.
-
if i go tomorrow i'll have to catch the train by myself as still have no car and DH working........
hmmmmm maybe i'm up for the challenge!
I'll text you if i go, love to me up and meet you guys and Maddi.... (What do you look ike anyway?! mystery bb woman!)
-
If you do go tomorrow at least Luella isn't old enough to run up & down the train causing havoc :)
I'll have to find a half decent pic & put it up on face book & i would love to catch up with you & meet the gorgeous Luella as well :)
-
Hey baby buddies!
Just letting you know I'm joining in...have just read all the posts while giving a midnight feed and will post all the exciting details of nipples, stitches, poo, wee, chuck and crazy hormonal highs and lows when feeling more coherent!
Sounds like everyone's doing pretty well...we should all be so proud of ourselves!
We are such good mummies.
Cuddles to your little ones!
ps:can someone tell me how to get a ticker? I am not savvy with these things

-
Hi everyone :D
I'm Claire - just have enough time for a quick post before bubs wakes up and Emily my toddler wrecks the place......the joys of parenting two!
Oh no I spoke too soon, I'll pop back on later!! xx
-
We havn't forgotten you Claire, just because you had another baby! lol xxx
-
Evening Mums and Bubs
Peta - glad to hear that everything is going well for you and Kaylee, these first couple of weeks are certainly challenging but I'm sure you guys will be going from strength to strength now. I understand the dilemna with BF to FF - I had BFing issues with Maddison not being able to latch on and chose to FF so I could bring her home instead of tube feeding her for 2 weeks like we had done with James. tough decision but once made feel heaps better knowing she is getting her nourishment and growing. I'm sure Kaylee will be feeding well know and getting rid of her jaundice.
Ange - Great news on the BP going down. And 5 hours sleep woohoo to you and Luella - bet you felt like a different woman when you woke up
Amber - Feel free to rant away - I believe the ability to rant helps us to stay sane and getting to share the ups and downs is important as well. Wishing you a good day with Myles. Perhaps there was something in the air yesterday cos liitle Maddison was unsettled wanting to feed every two hours yet today she's gone back to 4 hourly feeds and is sleeping heaps better. Although better not speak too soon cos we still have the late evening wake time to get through!!!!
Belle - WTG on the weight gain for India, it's a good feeling to know our bubs are growing strong and healthy. How'd you go with your first night while DH was away? I bet instead of getting his 8 hours sleep he was wishing he could be with his girls!!!! Had to laugh at your wee and poo nappy accidents - we have a tag team event happening where Maddison takes turns in weeing on us - currently DP is due for the next strike!!!
Mo - have a good time at the expo. Your Maddi sounds like mine - she likes to accumulate her wind and then gets unsettled at night as well. Tonight I'm trying a new tactic and giving her a bath when she next wakes to see if that makes her more relaxed. Awesome weight gain for Maddi as well and such a good sleep through the night.
Welcome to HappyGirl and Claire - it's great to see that the friendships made in October Buddies is being carried over to the Baby Buddies. Hope both you and your bubbies are settling in well and look forward to catching up witih you both soon. Claire - what does Emily think of her new brother????
Had our first visit to the Baby Health Centre yesterday and arranged for nurse visit on Monday. Maddison got weighed and she has put on 310g and grown 2cms. She had lost 150g while in hospital so am pleased she has recouped her birth weight and more. Thought she had grown myself as she is starting to fill out her 0000 clothing, though she can still only wear all-in-ones, anything with a waist just falls off her when you hold her up.
Still got the older girls in quarantine at SIL's house - Alesha came out in spots the day after she came home so back they go. Been a bit stressful cos noone could say what could happen to Maddison if she developed chicken pox, eventually rang NSW Health and was told that Maddison should have acquired some immunity through me while in utero but James had to get the vaccination to protect him. Still religiously checking her body for spots for the next couple of weeks - but fingers crossed nothing will develop on her.
Anyway time to wash more bottles and get organised for the night time routine.
-
Ursula The bath/shower helps our Maddi sometimes, hope it works for your Maddi :D
Had a good time at the expo sent way too much money, Got Maddi her first set of cloth nappies, brought her a swimsuit & some other cute outfits, Something to help with her wind, some toys.
Ange yay for 5 hours sleep.
-
Ange or anyone who uses Cloth nappies what kind do you find the best?
-
Hi Ladies!
I actually posted in the Sept post and this one, but feel like a complete stranger in there and so lost... feel SO much more at home here!! Nice to see everyone doing so well with their lovely bundles of joy :)! Think I might just play in here, as it's too hard keeping up with two threads, and we're almost an Octo baby...
Thank you for all your kind words, I have skimmed through all the posts, but not read in detail... time is just so limited atm!
Well I felt SO great after switching Kaylee to formula, was such a relief, and she is has been thriving ever since. She had grown out of the '0000' and in the '000' now :)!
BUT I overdid it as I was feeling so great, and my c/s 'wound' got infected and I was in horrid pain in the early hours on Thurs morning - mum took me to the Dr on Thursday and he put me on antibiotics and strict rest. So have been 'resting' lots since and thank god for mum and Steve - who have been doing pretty much everything around the house. And mum has even been doing the night feeds so we can catch-up on sleep (one advantage of FF)!
I had planned to use cloth nappies, and still do - but atm she is too small for the ones I have, plus until I am allowed to wash and fully healed it's just too much, it's enough staying on top of the regular washing... will hopefully switch to cloth within 2-3 weeks, when I am more healed and actually allowed to do washing.
Ursula - definitely no more jaundice, she is looking gr8 :)!
Online time very limited atm (mum won't let me on when she is here = 'strict' rest, but she has gone home for the day as DH is here, but will be back tomorrow while he is at work)... hopefully things will settle down soon and I can catch-up with everyone!
-
Well i just spent 5 hrs at the expo.........exhausted! Mo, obviosly didn't make it yesterday. Hope you had a good time, did you buy much?
i spent a stupid amount on cloth nappies! DH is going to have my guts for garters when he finds out! Also bought a very expensive but AWSOME nappy bag. How could i resist the expo special???
About the nappies Mo, i have a few diff types just to try them out. Kidzincloth fitteds are ace. ( ;) Leah!) bc lu is so small we are using alot of the old fashioned terry flats with some spunky fleece and pul covers. Nappies like Bumgenius, babybehinds are all too big at the moment so can't really comment. i bought about 5 different types today. I think 'the best' really comes down to personal preference, ie if you want a quick drying nappy or an easy to use system, or a nappy that will fit from birth to toilet training...... the cloth nappy thread is full of very helpfull ladies. But ask me as much as you like, and i'll try my best to help!
Nickers- welcome home, hope you are feeling ok.
Ursula- Hope you guys have avoided the chickenpox, that would suck big time!
Peta- Off the computer and REST! ;) hope you are feeling better you poor thing!
Amber- how are you and Myles today?
Belle- how was your night alone?
happygirl- how'd you go with ticker?
Wonder how ninja turtle is going....................
-
Just thought I'd pop in and say hello. DP is holding our little man all snug next to me at the moment. Ryan decided to come out and say hello on the 15th October at 8:43pm, started gettin pains at 1am Sunday, ended up with needin my waters popped, epi and vacuum extraction because of his heartbeat. He's a lil jaundice because of the vacuum extraction and my boobies weren't giving him enough he's now on formula and is going a lot better and sleeping heaps better he's a changed bubby.
Getting some baby blues on and off mostly from needing so much assistance during birth and boobies being *bleeps* but you get that..
Anyways shall leave it here DP wants puters soon lookin forward to gettin to know those I havent met yet and hey to all the belly buddies 16-30st :)
-
:hello: celtic. Nice to meet you and Ryan! Hmmm those baby blues are a nuisance, but i am feeling much less blue this week. (week 3) So hopefully you'll feel better next week!
-
Ange thanks for the info, the ones i brought yesterday are so big on Maddi, Will have to wait to she's put on more weight & grown some more i think.
I had a good time as well, but the traffic was so bad & it was so busy in the expo.
We could always catch up another time & I added a pic to face book not the best, but it's a pic :D
Peta glad Kaylee is doing better, Maddi still fit's into her 00000's but she's almost into 0000's now..
I also posted in the sept thread, but didn't feel as comfy in there as i do here.
Hope you feel better soon & make sure you rest.
I hope Viv is holding James in her arms now.
Welcom Celtic :D

Ange - I thought there'd be more in here that didn't know me! Lol!
Well I'm typing one handed here! Harry is snuggled up having a cuddle. It was my birthday today and the little darling slept for most of it. Woke for a quick change and feed and went swiftly back off to sleep.
Ursula - Emily is acting out a little but not as much as she could be. I'm going to devise a little home play time table to structure our days a little better so that se doesn't get bored and also gets some one to one attention.
Harry seems to be happy in the sling so that will make life easier. I haven't worn him myself yet as I have a weak back from the separation of my tummy muscles, they are coming back together but it will take some time.
So far thiongs are going well, he is feeding well and slowly getting into a routine of sorts. We are using cloth so I feel like I'm permenatly washing but I'd rather do it every day than every other...

Hi All,
My first visit to the Baby Buddies section! WOOT!
Amara is still asleep, has been since about 7pm, my aching boobies - WAKE UP! I am leaking like nothing else and am walking around with terry flats shoved in my bra.
Well after about 4 nights of partying by young Amara she seems to have figured out night and day :)
We sort of have a routiny thing happening. She is a booby piglet though and only lost 20 grams of weight from birth to day 6.
Eliza loves her and keeps saying "Mummy she is so cute!" LOL
Didn't really get the baby blues this time. I reckon it is due to the fantastic birth I had and coming straight home, I really can't believe how good I feel this time. I wish I had used the Birthing Service last time.
Nappies are going well, I have been using my brand alot and we are liking the Tots Bots Bamboozles and Swaddlebess organic velour - yummo! Cause she is a booby piglet she does not really fit the cute little Kissaluvs I bought her :(
I was also bad and ordered 2 Pink Intensity baby Beehinds Bamboos and a Pink PUL cover and a Raspberry Monkey Doodles! She is my last bubba so I am going all out on the pink LOL!
Booby Piglet wakes, must go...
