finn and gus do sound good together.
cindy i actually agree with you,as i was there i breifly imagined what it would be like to say goodbye to one of my children or my hubby and i broke down in tears just thinking about it.now i am the warped one.
grant is in a meeting with a real estate agent who aproached us to bye and renovate propertys in melton with him and one of his friends.
grant is very excited cos this is something he has wanted to do for many years.
i am waiting for him to get home so i can hear all about it.i hope it works out for him.
-
i just had a very lovely thought,we have been chatting and getting to know each other for 3 years now......WOW!!!!!!i love you guys
-
i have decided we are due for a girls night out.how about a pub with a band or a cool restaurant in the city or something.
-
-
well im waiting .......what do ya think!!!!!!!
-
i think we should dont you?
-
yes.......yes......i do think that is a very good idea
-
mmmmmmm. has given me something to think about
-
-
hehehehehehehe!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
You make me laugh Nicole!! he ha! If I was in Melbourne, and not on bed rest, I'd be a definite taker! Very jealous of you Melbourne girls! xx
-
You are one funny B..ch Nikki! Definately up for a girls night - has to be a fairly cheap one though, gott a play tight a fora while now!
-
I am up for a girls night, also on the cheap side if possible as got so many things to pay for these next few months.
Went and bought new maternity bra today ( such an exciting life I lead :) ) Had a shopping trip with Kristen and Mia. It was odd not pushing Jordan around in the pram, he spent day with his daady.
I am thinking if going to a mums and bubs movie on wednesday. Has anyone been? I am not sure if Jordan will sit still enough for it now he is walking etc. Prob should have gone when he wasnt mobile!!!!!
Have to get glucose test done in the morning and then thought I would go to movies. I am sick of spending my days off at home doing housework.
Jamie is off delivering things to his parents and aunties so I am home alone. Jordan has gotten up 3 times so far..... I thought I was doing well when he stayed in there initially for 20 mins ..... oh well. Next time its a smack and a bit of a growl
Have a nice night everyone

Hope you are all well.

Hmmmm let me think!
Not much happened in this neck of the woods! I had 2 tupperware parties this weekend which was great! Sold lots and got 4 bookings. New products were released saturday so i will send you a catalogue tuppercrazy Tracey!
SOrry - got to go, just realised the time - have to take the girls to the drs to see which one i should be worried about with regards to their weight being the same!
will let you know how we go
!
-
I'm back!!! We have to take tori to a paed to get some bloods and an opinion on her "Fairure to thrive' situation - they weighed the girls and chacha is actually 100grams heavier than tori now! she is 10.5 and tori 10.4kg. They want to do bloods to see if she has food intollerances or diabetes? In a way i hope they come up woth something its stupid that she is losing weight, still growing but losing weight - her ribs and spine are really prominant at the moment which is yuck and she always hurts herself and ends up with scabs running down her spine! Not a good look at all...
OK i want to throw this out there.... Firday morning about 10ish i am meeting up with Nicy charlee and coop at a playcentre near here if anyone wants to join us? Its in behnd know city shopping centre
-
oh geez cindy,i hope they can find out what is causing her to be so light.chantelle wieghs the same as tori but she is shorter so that is fine.harry and chacha weigh the exact same also.they are boofers.hehehe!
unfortunantly i work fridays bugger i am hanging to do a catch up with you all,it just isnt happening though.damn damn damn.
-
Cindy I hope they can work out why Tori is loosing weight. I dont think she is ever going to be a big girl but you certainly dont want her loosing weight. I work fridays also so wont be able to make it. I am only free wed and thursdays.
Work today was a complete waste of time. We had no computers till 3.30 as new system is being implimented and it was delayed for whatever reason. We all just sat and browsed the net and had 2 hr lunch. I worked for an hr then went home. We are expecting to be extra busy tomorrow to make up for the work we couldnt do today so prob have to work OT, which I am not really keen on (although could use the money).
Going to tap class tomorrow night to see if that is easier than the hip hop class. I am hoping so as I would like to continue dancing for this term.
Jordan is doing really well. He is talking more and more and developing such a little personality. I am really loving his age and would love to freeze time I think. He is just the BEST. ( I am sure all mums think the same though)
Hope you are all well

Hi!
Had a great weekend away at Phillip Island!! The house was great and the kids had a ball! Michael and I even managed a surf while the IL's and my brother & SIL watched the kids! It was such a big weekend though and they were sooo feral today!
Oh - how's this - on Friday Louis starts saying something and I'm like what??? and he says it slower - he's taught himself to count in Spanish from Dora the explorer! I kid you not. I nearly died! So he's going uno, dos, tres, quattro etc (I don't even know if thats right! LOL!) Crazy Kid!
Cindy - Sorry to hear about the finance - at least you've got plenty of time to get organised. Good luck finding a rental!!
I don't think your warped about funerals - I find that definitely with older people who you were kind of expecting to go iywkim?? Otherwise they're just horrible!
Yeah - what successful parties! I gear up again this weekend...I hope they go well - I've missed not earning anything lately!
Sorry to hear about Tori losing weight...geez I hope everythings ok! I can't believe charlottes now heavier - wow! When's your appt?
I'd love to come to the play centre but won't commit just yet - we've got a huge week of activites and Fri is usually our chill out day in prep for a busy weekend - but if the kids are doing ok we might pop around for a bit. I'll let you know!
Kirsty - Great to hear from you - I'm so glad everythings still going well. Oooh I like Finn!
Nikki - Oh I do that all the time - ended up making myself a mess. I think everyone puts themselves in that situation...as horrible as it is!
How did Grant go?? Sounds like something he'd love!!
OMg - 3 years! Your funny - you must have been in a funny buggers mood - LOL!
I agree though - a night out would be great! Hmmm - what about going to crown?? Then we can do anything - dinner, bar, movies, people watch, gas bag?? Whatever the budget allows??
Tracey - yeah on baby free shopping!! I ran out this arvo to do food shopping without the kids and it was sooo much easier!! They were way to feral to take out of the house today! LOL. But then I ended up spending more money - whoops!
Yep - I've been to mum and bubs but not since Louis was little. I wouldn't bother now - I think Louis would maybe sit there or run around and play a little but there's no way Dylan would! Urghh Yuck - glucose test - good luck!
Bugger about being at work - what a waste! Your so good for still dancing -I hope you have fun at tap! Thats great that you want to freeze time - I go back and forth now! LOL! When they're happy -freeze - tantrums - fast forward! LOL. I even had Dylan throwing them this morning - he was throwing himself down and kicking his legs - god knows what he's going to be like when he's 2!!!
Ok - I better get to bed - I'm wrecked! Chat later!
-
crown sounds like a good idea kristie.that way we can do just about anything on a budget.
how about we lock in a date then and i wont NO pickers.we really need to do this i think.
i am free any fri and sat night for ages now so what can you guys come up with.
grants meeting went very well, the real estate agent friend has gone away for 2 weeks so when he gets back they are going to go ahead.grant is pretty excited.
nikki
-
Hi!
Nikki - Thats great news for Grant! Woohoo - I'm excited about going out - I'm out Friday nights...I'm booked up with TBS parties until April! So it would have to be a Sat night for me and I'm pretty much free any of them!
I'm just going to say out of nowhere - how about Saturday 1st March??? Gives everyone enough time to pinch some pennies!!! The weekend before I'm way to busy....
-
i have penciled that date in kristie,i will definantly be there
-
ok ladies, 1st march it is then. I dont think we have any plans.
Work is boring again. couldnt get into computer till nearly 11.30 and now are have to log out again. OMG its going to be a long day with overtime as all work needs to be finished by tonight. We had pancakes here today, they were awesome. icecream and maple syrup, went down a treat.
Krisite I will be there for the learning party, my friend cant make it though but if there is a catalogue I will take one home as I am sure she will be interested
Nikki I hope that Grant does get this reno thing off the ground, he did a great job of your place I am sure he would make good money doing it.
hope you are all having a better day than I am.
XX
-
Tracey, Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday dear Tracey, happy birthday to you. Hip hip hooray! Hope you have a great day today and are spoilt rotten by DH and Jordan! Yummmm your description of the pancakes makes me want some. Hmmmmm. So sorry to hear your work computers have been messing you around. Hopefully you didn't have to stay at work to late last night.
Nikki, Grant's renovation plans sound fantastic. So pleased to hear his meeting with the real estate guy went well. What an exciting new direction for him/you. Does that mean he'd gradually stop doing the plastering work, or would he kind of juggle the two until he was more sure of the reno income/workload? How funny to read about Chantelle's self exploration. The boys must have a big impact on her, if she's on a quest to have a penis. he ha. Very cute!
Kristie, Louis is very clever with his counting. He is a smart little cookie. He ha. I can't count in Spanish either. Must be funny having your 2yo knowing "more" than you in one area (all be it a tiny area he ha!). The student becomes the teacher. he ha. I am constantly amazed at the things our little guys and girls can learn without our personal direct input. The television and books have a HUGE impact on their development and skills. A few weeks ago Gus was telling me that crocodiles eyes are red when you shine a light on them. I had no idea what he was talking about, or even whether it was true. Then yesterday (or was it the day before) in an episode of "Go Diego Go" screening on Foxtel, Diego's sister Allisa was hunting for a crocodile and worked out where it was hiding by shining a torch into a dark space to see if the croc's eyes shined red. Obviously that was a repeat episode and Gus had seen it earlier. he ha.
Well done with your TBS parties. Sounds like you are going really well. Can't believe you're Friday nights are all booked up with TBS parties until April. That is amazing! You go girl! Sounds like you had a lovely holiday. So great to hear you and Michael had a chance to hit the waves without the boys in tow.
Cindy, Well done to you two on your home business. Sounds like your tupperware parties are going really well. You must be a great hostess! Sorry to hear about your gorgeous Tori being underweight. Must be a bit scarey knowing she she is losing weight, rather than just not putting it on. Poor little lamb hurting her back so she ends up with scabs on her spine! Must be really uncomfortable for her. There seems soooo much emphasis on obesity in kids these days that it makes me wonder whether "light weight" kids like ours end up seeming grossly underweight by comparison? Gus hasn't hit 10kg yet, so he's definitely on the light end of the spectrum for his age. But when I look at him naked, he seems like the ideal body shape to me. Really defined muscles, small covering of fat and long lean limbs. However our doctors, who rely on the WHO growth charts regard him as being extremely underweight. Aghhhh tis not easy to change things though. Just seems to be the way he's programmed to be. Good luck with Tori's investigations. Hopefully it will be nothing sinister, just a case of her "needing" to eat more if she is to satisfy the growth chart expectations. Maybe you could try to pad her meals with more calories. More snacks of the high fat variety, and maybe add butter, cream and cheese to whatever you can? Eg put a cheesy white sauce on her veggies etc? If there doesn't turn out to be a medical cause for her weight loss, perhaps you could see a dietician to get some ideas about how to give her a higher calorie diet?
Hi to everyone else. Hope you are well. xx
Gus has been so funny lately. He has a really vivid imagination and has whole imaginery worlds that go on throughout his day. He now tells me about his dreams when he wakes up in the morning, and seems to remember soooo much detail about them. A couple of times lately he has woken me in the middle of the night yelling out to me to come and help him overcome some obstacle in his dream. The one that sticks in my mind the most was a dream about him being a captain on a pirate ship and the ship ran aground on a sandbar and so the boat was about to get flooded by crashing waves. He woke up yelling "Mum come quick, pirate ship stuck on sandbar. Must get off sandbar before boat gets flooded with waves. Mum help me steer the boat...." All the while firmly convinced that his dream was real. he ha!
He's doing so well with the potty. He's now completely toilet trained during the day and going really well overnight. Because we tube feed him a few times overnight his little bladder needs emptying before the morning most nights. He refuses to do wee wee's in the nappy now so wakes up and calls out to me to help take him to the toilet. While I'm super proud of him, it's also really tiring waking for that in addition to attending to his various medicine and tube feeding obligations overnight. I hope Gussy works out how to take himself to the toilet overnight before our next bubba arrives or I literally won't be able to keep up with feeding two kids overnight as well as toileting one. Ahhh
All still going well with my pregnancy. Yippeee. No more fresh bleeding and the amniotic sac seems to have stayed sealed. There is still loads of evidence of "old" blood in my uterus, so my risk of rupturing the sac/ springing a leak continues to be high - so I'm still on "bed rest" orders. Easier said than done with a 2 year old isn't it! We have employed a nanny to come in 3 days a week to give me a better chance of looking after my bubba in tum so that makes a huge difference. Gussy absolutely adores the nanny so it's all working out well (however very expensive!).
All still pretty much the same for me on the preggy symptom front. Still getting awful reflux that only seems to improve with either Gaviscon or chockie milk. My tummy is sooo much bigger in this pregnancy than it ever was with Gussy. I've finally got my act together to get some maternity clothes ordered from the net. They arrived yesterday and I'm really happy with them. Tis about time, as I've been going about wearing non-maternity skirts with the zipper a little undone and then a big belt and long t-shirt covering the gap. he ha. Tis lucky I'm carrying high with this pregnancy or that wouldn't be possible.
We postponed my Gussy's operation until next Wednesday, to give me a bit longer doing the bed/couch rest thing. He should be in hospital for anywhere between 48 hours and 5 days depending on how well he recovers, so that will mean I'll me MIA from the BB forum for a while next week.
Well that's enough rambling from me. xx

Hi!
Had a great day! Louis had a ball at kinder again - he was so excited to go! Little bugger didn't have a day sleep today though so was very tired by tonight. Although I didn't have any troubles getting him to sleep! He did really well without being grumpy either except for a last minute tantrum before bed!
Tracey - Hope you weren't at work too late! Yum - pancakes! I'm so glad that you can make it to the party!! OMG - Is it your birthday???? HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!
Rachael - Where are you again???? I was going to invite you to the Total Learning party as well if you're interested - I know you said you had one recently though. Anyway - I'm having one at my house on Sunday 24th Feb at 1pm....
Kirsty - Yep - it is so amazing what the kids pick up!! Wow on Gus's dreams - thats amazing - soo cute too! What a good boy going to the toilet! You poor thing having to get up though...Your a supermum thats for sure! I'm so glad to hear everythings going so well with your p/g! wow - I bet a nanny is expensive - however well worth it I'm sure! LOL at not having bought maternity clothes! hehe. Always nice to get a parcel in the post!! Hope your reflux settles down (however not likely as that bump keeps getting bigger!)
Wishing Gussy all the best with his operation!!
Better go...Chat later!
-
Hi guys, back in the land of the living.
The hoiday was good, the weather not so good but it did pick up for a few days, and Iwas happy enough to not be at work and able to sit down with a book!
The house we stayed at was great except there was a huge, very steep narrow staircase that led downstairs to a rumpus room, and no safety gates! We had to watch Milo like a hawk, but once I lost track of where we was and I ran to the stairs and he had gone all the way to the bottom (there were at least 20 stairs) and was grinning up at me!
Girls night out sounds like a good idea, I will have to check whether Neils band have anything booked in or whether my brothers going out for his birthday that night and let you know.
TL party sounds good Kristie, I might have to bring Milo with me though, will that be OK?
PM me your address.
Cindy Iam sure you will get all the finance worked out. I thought you were going to try for 100% though, what sort of docs do they need for that?
Tracey the grace before snakckks at playgroup is a bit weird but not unexpected if its a church run group. I hope at least they dont expect everyone to participate? It should be enough to just sit there quietl while those who want to participate do so.
Kirsty I'm glad things are going well & hope they continue to do so. Gus sounds like he is having the same kinds of dreams as Milo! I'm getting called in and half the time he isnt even awake!
-
Hi!
Rachael - Sorry - I so forgot you were away!! So glad you had a great time! Bugger about the stairs though...it's hard when you can't relax fully.
Would be great if you could make it for a night out!
Of course it would be great to bring Milo with you!!! They can all have a play!
For some reason Dylan was super unsettled last night - I ended up bringing him into bed with me for a couple of hours...grrr. I haven't done that in AGES! Then he was up at 6.30am but luckily he had a feed and went back to sleep until just after 8am!! Woohoo!
Dh found love heart sticky notes all around the house this morning with loving words..hehe! We're not doing presents this year although I have ordered a little heart stone from the oxfam shop to give him but it hasn't arrived yet! grrr.
Better get organised! Chat later!
-
happy valentines ladies.
Thanks for the bday wishes, I had a nice day yesterday. We went out for dinner with the family and fgot some lovely presents. MIL got to feel Liam kick for the 1st time also so that was really special.
Had midwife app yesterday also as well as diatbetes test. All was fine with my sugar levels (bonus) and bubs is doing really well. Have to invest in some support stockings for the varacoise veins though so they dont get too much worse.
Jordan is doing well. Had a good time at playgroup today. He even sat at table and at morning tea which was good. We did craft today so that was fun, Jordan loves the glue sticks. He has been a little soocky today and also not wanting to eat all that much. I guess he can afford not to eat (little chubba). I hope he has decent dinner though. Might make extra veg for him.
Kirsty So glad to hear bub in tum is doing well and you are getting help with Gus so you can look after the 2 of you. Gus sounds gorgeous telling you about his dreams. Well done on the potty training. We are so no where near that yet.
Kristie Glad Louis had fun at kinder. I hope Dylan sleeps better for you tonight. You are too cute leaving Michael love sticky notes. I didnt do anything for valentines day this year.
Girls I cant make it to the girl nigh 1st march. We have plans with 2 families in the st to have dinner etc. It was meant to to be the weekend before however it got reskd and no one told me. Sorry. I will try make the next one.
Take care everyone

Tracey - glad to hear you had a good birthday!! Bummer you cant make the girls night!
Rachael - glad to hear you had a nice break! When are you back at work? With our finance we arent missing anyhting other than money we are getting from the people who have sold the place we are in - we are doing 100% finance but we are going to be paying off ALL of your other debts first so we need to prove to them that we have the money to do so!
We are really stuggling to find another rental at the moment though which is rather stressful! Could end up living n the streets at this rate!
I did a tupperware stand at fountain gate shops today and it was great! I had 2 people book parties and have another 3 that will be calling me in the next few days to book ones too!! Woo hoo!!
SOrry - gtg - tori wont got to sleep for al anymore so it is my job unfortunately!
BBL
-
I cant make it on the 1st either - my brother has booked us in to the supper inn for dinner that night for his birthday. :(
Cindy - WRT Tori's weight. My mums GF was referred to a paed for both her kids for FTT, and the paed took one look at her kids and said 'what are you doing here?' Some kids are just going to have slight builds, as was the case for her children (she doesn't, but her DHs family all do), I hope that for Tori its nothing more than that.
If you arent happy with the opinion and advice you get remmeber to get a second opinion.
-
shall we change the date then to the following weekend for the girls night.i really want us to all be there.

Back to reality and working saturday. Was great not having to work last weekend. Prob go to bed soon as I am knackered.
Have a great weekend everyone

Hi!
Sorry - I can't make it the next week - I just got invited to a b'day yesterday - although Michael and I will be at Crown for it - LOL! I'd try and double it up but Michael will be with me and it's my friends b'day not his iykwim??
Cindy - Glad the tupperware stand went well for you! Bugger at trying to find a rental...it's so hard these days!
Nikki - LOL at being loud about your b'day - I'm like that as well! LOL! Glad you had a good week - hope the kids are well!
Tracey - Glad you had a great b'day and your dr's appts' went well! LOL that Jordan loves the glue stick - Louis hates gluing - or having anything sticky on his hands or fingers! have a good day at work tomorrow!
Don't know if I already told you but Louis has dropped his day sleeps. He's only had 1 this week and then wouldn't go to sleep. It just gets to about 2pm and he has quiet time on the couch watching tv or reading books and stays there while I got and do work or whatever I need to do. Omg - my little boy is growing up! LOL! He's not even cranky at bedtime really either....or no more than usual iykwim!
Anyway - hope you all have a good weekend!
Chat later!
-
Kristie WOW at Louis dropping his day sleep. We are so no where near ready for that. Jordan still sleeps 2-4 hrs during the day. I think I need it also for some ME time and will cherish it when Liam comes along I am sure.
We went to see jamies cousin and her bubs today. He is 5 months now and Jordan was so good with him. So affectionate it was sweet. I hope he is like that with Liam.
Just organised hire car for QLD and we think we are going to just get a 1 bedroom place instead of 2 to save money. As long as we can shut thebedroom door when we put Jordan to bed we should be fine. We will save about 100.00 by getting the 1 bedroom which is the entry to theme park. Its only 9 nights I am sure we can put up with Jordan in our room for that time. It will be the last time we book 1 bedroom though, with the 2 boys I think it would be a bit much.
Hope everyone is having a nice weekend, back to work tomorrow XX
-
i'm free the following weekend.
Krisite, wow on Louis dropping his sleep - you never know though, he might go back to it, my friend Alexis' daughter has just now started having day sleeps again, every day, after having none for a few months.
Tracey - more wow on 2-4 hours a day! I wish Milo would have that much, he is more like 1.5-2.5, but closer to the 1.5, and some days id we're going out etc, he will have 40mins if he's lucky. He really needs the day time sleep too otherwise late afternoon evening is a nightmare.
Milo decided at 12:30am to play musical beds and stay awake til 2:45! He has nevr done anything like it before...I changed his nappy at about 2:30 and it was like it normally is when he gets up - once I changed it he was quite happy to go to sleep in his bed with a song. I hope thats all it was - mum is going to keep an eye on him today JIC.
He has been setling at night tim a lot more easily lately, so we might bit the bullet and swap him over to his bed this weekend. ITs so cute, every night he wants a song and a story, which normally drags on to mulitple sings and story requests, but lately I've told him that he can sing/tell a story to his teddy cos 'your a big boy' and 'teddy needs you to help him go to sleep' and so far (tough wood) its been working really really well.
Went to see "Juno" at the movies with Neil as a late anniversary celebration, it was soooo good, he now wants to call any daughter we have Juno now cos he likes the name..mmmm.
-
both my boys slept during the day until they were 4 and i plan to do the same, chantelle only sleeps for 1.5 hours and hell will freeze over first before i let her stop.it is natural for children at this age to challenge you with day naps but in my personal opinion i think that it is important for them to nap at 2 years of age, they can cope better with such a long day and of course i treasure that time to myself aswell, tis important for mums to have time out,i appreciate the time i have with my babies when they wake so much more cos they are refresshed and happy and i have achieved alot during that time out.this is not an attack on you kristie,im just hoping that you have made the right decision for louis,he is still a very young toddler.
kristie,we went to the werribbee zoo yesterday, after reading your post last week you inspired me to go.we had such a great day,the weather was awsome and the kids loved it.
we went late in the day and took a beautiful picnic and watched the african dance concert in the evening on the lush green lawns, harry was so happy crawling around and chantelle danced all night long, corey had bongo drum lessons and we just had the most romantic evening.
everything else is well.i hope i havnt offended kristie and if i have i take it all back.
ok can we come up with another date later in march then.
how about we try for the sat 15th march.if we can all agree that we are free for that date at the moment then we should all keep it free and not just take up other offers other wise this will never happen.
nikki
-
actually i shouldnt swallow my words.what i should say is that if i have offended i will learn to keep my opinions to myself.oh **** i sound ridiculous.
-
You make me laugh nikki!
ON the day sleeps - my tori is like jordy and will have anything between 2-4 hours a day. She isnt in bed at night though untill 9-10pm just so she has a chance to see al at night!
OK - i have an issue!!! Do you al lremember me talking about tori and her fantastic climbing abilities early on???? Well..... It seems her little sister is following in her footsteps, i just put chacha to bed and went back in 5 mins later coz i could hear her chattering away and i thought she must have dropped her dummy out ofthe cot... well i go in there and she has climbed out of the end of the cot and is sitting on the change mat playing with the wipes! i had aheart attack! She could kill herself falling off there! I cant wait till we move nad ican move her out of our bedroom and away from all things climby!
On the night out! I neeed it to happen, however - i cant maek the 15th, actually march is really bad for us with moving etc unless it is the 1st. If anyone is keen to catch up on the 1st then i am still too! I have asked NIkki and another friend of mine Lee (met her through tupperware and she is new to Victoria and has a 2yo boy) so i might end up still going out that night with those two anyway?? I will have to confirm with those 2 that they were still free but i am thinking i will do that. Perhaps we can maek another date in April? Isnt that stupid!
-
LOL Nikki you're funny :)
okay, I cant make 14th March as its a good friends engagement party that night.
I can "lock in" any Friday or Saturday night in April except for 11th.
-
april 5th and 12th are out for me
lets try for the 16th april then.
if that isnt going to work i think i might just tag along with you and nicki, cindy!
kristie,you still my friend?????
