well Milo is happier now. I can't rem, ember what I posted and don't want to scroll back through all the pages just now.
On saturday afternoon, he woke up from his sleep hysterical, which in itself is not necessarily unusual, but he was very hot and clingy etc so I took his temp and it was 39.4! So I gave him some panadel and was planning to take him to the doctors Sunday. It was up again that night and again came down with panadol (I have never had to give him 2 doeses of panadol in one day before, and was freaking out. Sunday monring, back down to 37.1
Well I was so relieved he was back to a normal temp, and was a lot more lkike his normal self, that I forgot to take him to the doctors! They're only open for 2 hours on a Sunday, and by the next day he was back to normal..I feel really bad :(
Lately too, he has been pulling at his nappy, at the front, all the time (not just if he needs it changed) I dont know whether this is curiosity, or he is unconfortable or what. Does anyone elses little boy do this?
-
Awww niki thanks for the comment. Im sorry your dd isnt well..poor little thing. My dd had hers taken out at the age of 4. It wasnt nice.
Hope she feels better real soon.
Take care!!!
-
Poor little Milo..wow his temp was really up. rayray...is your boy circumsided?? only that if he isnt he might have an infection. Just a thought. Callum only feels down there when his nappy is off. Not sure what could be up with Milo but that is the only thing I can think of. Maybe the nappy might be to tight. Good luck with it !!!
Callums awake so better go.
-
yeh, A UTI was what I was thinking, as he is not done. I might take him to get checked out tonight.
How do they tell if that is what it is?
-
missy,my son had his out when he was 4 also,he used to get tonsilitis alot, even though it wasnt nice to put him through the op,he was soooooo much better for it.

Hi!
Just took Louis to the library for their story time! He actually enjoyed it quite a lot!! There were lots of kids there but he did really well (a lot of them a fair bit bigger as well) He sat with his Mummy anyway though...hehe. After we were looking at books and it was getting late so we had to go and he so threw a tantrum!!! I had to go to the shire offices which were next door quickly as well and when we walked in he fully threw himself on the floor and was rolling around and being a little terror! Thats the first time he's done that!! I'm soo glad no-one else was in there - I was getting enough bad looks from the workers! hehe. Anyway, got him home for lunch and he's in bed now so hopefully he has a big sleep. Lately we put him to bed at 7pm and he hasn't been waking me up until after 8am!! but that means he's only having about 1 1/2h during the day...
Missy - Yeah on Callum doing so well at swimming!
Rachael - Swimming should be great each week - especially if you all go - I'm sure Milo will love it! Poor little man with such a high temp! Hopefully the dr will know whats up! Louis doesn't pull at his nappy so I'm not sure....Hopefully it's nothing major!
Becka - Sorry to hear your still having trouble with your tooth! Ouch! Yeah on Maddy walking around everywhere!! They love their independence!!
Nikki - Poor Chantelle!! Ooh it must be so hard with Harry being so little as well....I hope you're managing ok!
-
Nikki...yes mel had hers out as although she wasnt sick all the time with her's, they were always swallow. Never went down. She had abnornal ones that were hanging by a thread and not joined to the sides.
Rayray, It could be a few things to look for. My sisters son isnt and he always get infections. Look for swelling, redness if you pull it back abit ( only a tiny bit) sore to touch, bad smell, hurts to wee abit hard to tell that or just looks different. Im sure its not that but just some things to look for. It just could be he wants to be a RUDEY BOY....lol...and trying to pull it off.
Well Callum didnt have another afternoon sleep again. He was in his cot for 2 hours and just played. He is trying so hard not to have it...Its just hard as he is clingy and only had 1 1/2 hrs this morning and usually has 3hr. So not much this morning and no afternoon and clingy...oh boy thats not a good mixture...lol...but DH was home at 1.30 so he has been helping!!!!
Well all
have a good rest of the day
-
Hey guys,
Just got back from my obs appointment... it was ok.
My BP was 144/63, when its normally 110-120/80, but my mum said you need to take it on more than 1 day for it to mean anything...
My blood tests show i've contracted slap cheek (maybe it was that and not chicken pox that DA had on his bday). They are a bit concerned, cos they don't know when i had it (i.e. a few months ago or a few weeks ago, cos antibodies only last a few months..) They are sending me for more to see if they can tell. If I did have it when preg there is a chance the baby can have severe anemia, but my dr said they can't do much about that at this stage. He gave me a scan, but as i'm under 6 weeks it says it was hard to tell.. i could have been 5weeks exactly or 5+5 for example
He says my EDD is between 17/10 - 23/10, but he wants to give me another scan in 5 weeks to see what is going on then
Only problems is i think i want to change obs... i really don't want to go back to my hospital, and when i told me dr how unhappy i was last time he didn't really seem to care (not in a neg way, more like a "what do you want me to do way")... i'm getting very stressed about it
I bought some maternity clothes on the way home - from Big W (never shopped there for clothes b4), but i got 6 tops for $70, which was pretty good. And some bonds maternity undies..
Anyway, must go deal with dinner, but just thought i would keep you ladies updated.
Hope you are well :)
-
Yael, as much as I love my GP, who was my shared car provide with Milo, when I told him how upset etc I was withthe stand in ob etc, he sort of shrugged, didn't really say much at all. Its like a boys club or something!
Maybe you could go see Lionel, he works in a couple of hospitals?
-
Awww yael im sorry your down but im sure all well be ok...good luck hun.
:):):):)
Am thinking of you!!!!
-
Yael If you are unhappy with your OB I would suggest trying another. You have to see them for the next 9 months so why put yourself thru that? Hope you feel better soon.
Rachael Sounds great idea to have a family swimming morning, Milo will love it I am sure.
Missy I hope Callum has a nice sleep for you today. It feels like a loosing battle sometimes when you put them to bed and all the they want to do is play
Krisite I am glad Louis loved the story time. Bumer about the tanty though. I am sure no one realy gave a toss though. All kids chuck them now and then.
CIndy Not long now till you move, hope you are all organised.
Nikki Poor Chantelle. Hope she gets better soon
Becka LOL at Maddie not wanting to be picked up. I guess she feels independant now she can walk.
Well dancing again was brilliant. I am so enjoyng it. Only 7 more days till Hawaii now OOOH I am so excited. Jordan was out of sorts when he got home from mums last night. He was SO clingy and sooky. I sometimes wonder what he does there all day as he isnt himself when he comes home from there.
I cant belelive that he is still asleep. I put him to bed at 7.30pm and he hasnt stirred at all. WOW. I want to go to baby bunting and babyco today for babyshower present so will go have breaky and get myself ready in time for Jordan waking up.
Take care everyone XX
-
Hi!
Louis had swimming lessons this morning and did really well! Had to stop and pick up some stuff for dinner tonight - I'm cooking Butter Chicken - I make it just with potatoes for me and it tastes just the same! (well the same sauce).
Dh and I watched a dvd last night (alexander) it was so boring we managed to both have a nap through it, had some fun on the couch, and it was still going...so boring! hehehe. (Dh has now decided that he like boring movies - hehehe)
I want some Cool weather!!!!!
Missy - Sorry to hear Callums not sleeping well...Do you think he just wants 1 day sleep now?? I started off with Louis having his around 10.30-11am but now he won't sleep until around 12.30-1pm....I swear he's going to be one of these kids that drops all day sleeps early - lucky me!!! Hope he sleeps better today - that would have been good having dh to help!
Yael - So sorry to hear about the slap cheek...hopefully everythings ok! Does sound like a good idea to change obs/hospitals...Your better off doing it sooner rather than later!! You don't want to be stressed about it the whole time...Sounds like you got some good buys at bigw!!
Tracey - Ooh the countdowns on!! You're going to have such an awesome time!! I wonder if Jordans just getting a bit overstimulated while he's there?? It must be so hard....What a great sleep in he's having though!! Have fun shopping!
Tracey, Nikki and Cindy - I'm having my baby shower on Sunday 18th March @ 2pm...It's just going to be an arvo tea, very low key! I would love to see you there!! Just let me know whenever!!
-
i will be there kristie.
nikki
-
Krisite I will not be able to make your baby shower as that is the same day as Kristens. I wont be able to make either yours or Cindys, what a bummer.
I will have to see you during the week once I get back. Oh I am so disappointed I cant make it.
Nikki how is Chantelle today?
Had great time at baby bunting, bought Jordan a puzzle where you put the shapes in, its a farm one so has animals and farmer etc. really cute. I also got a little toy for Kristen for her baby shower.
I have just finished baking the plate for my friends brother, a wedding plate. So will not have to send it off.
Jordan and I had Maccas for lunch (naughty mummy) and he is now in bed. Hopefully for atleast 3 hours.

harry has thrush all through his mouth, can anyone tell me how to treat it and what causes it.
nikki
-
Hi Nikki, Sorry to hear Harry has thrush. I've copy pasted an article discussing thrush and breastfeeding below for you...
"Breastfeeding and Thrush" written for BabyCentre UK
What is it?
Thrush is a fungal infection in the baby's mouth that can spread to your breasts, causing your nipples to feel sore and itchy. It is also referred to as a yeast infection. Other common signs of thrush are:
In the mother:
• cracked nipples
• deep, shooting breast pain during or after feeds
• itchy, red, or burning nipples
• vaginal thrush
In the baby:
• white patches in mouth that are not easily washed off
• nappy rash
What causes it?
The fungus Candida albicans causes thrush. Everyone has this fungus in his or her body -- it's a normal part of the digestive system and generally bacteria keep it in check. But occasionally it gets a chance to grow and spread and that can lead to an infection. Breastfeeding can create the perfect environment for thrush - it thrives in warm, moist, sugary environments, which is exactly what your baby's mouth is like during breastfeeding.
Eating sugary foods, taking antibiotics, getting inadequate rest, stress, allergies, and injury to the nipples from poor positioning can also set the stage for an infection.
What can I do?
Thrush is one condition that you are better off not treating on your own. If you suspect thrush, contact your GP for diagnosis and treatment. She or he will probably prescribe an antifungal medication. Thrush can take up to a few weeks to cure, and you and your baby need to be treated simultaneously.
In the meantime:
• Wash all toys, dummies, and breast pump parts in boiling water after each use, to avoid re-infecting yourself or your baby.
• For the same reason, wash your hands frequently, especially after feeds.
• You may want to add lactobacillus acidophilus (available in pill form or in acidophilus yogurt) to your diet to re-colonise your digestive tract with the friendly bacteria that keep thrush in check.
• Try to keep your nipples as dry as possible, as thrush flourishes in damp conditions.
• Use only plain water to wash your nipples
To ease any deep breast pain, you may want to take a mild painkiller like paracetamol until the worst is over and your treatment begins working. Always check with your GP or health visitor before using medicines.
Will it affect my baby?
If you have Candida or a fungal infection on your nipples, the chances are that your baby has it, too, even if you can't see any telltale white spots. She needs treatment just as much as you do - and at the same time, or you may pass the infection back and forth.
A baby with thrush may be more unsettled than usual during feeds, or reluctant to feed because of mouth tenderness. Other babies, however, may not be bothered at all.
Can I still breastfeed?
Yes. Thrush shouldn't affect your ability to breastfeed your baby, and you can continue throughout the course of your treatment.

Hi!
Not much from me...
Nikki - So glad you can make it. So sorry Harry has thrush...I don't have any info - looks like Kirsty's got it covered!!
How's Chantelle going?
Trace - Bugger you can't make it...never mind!! We'll catch up soon after you get back from your holiday! Glad you had a good shopping trip! Hope he had a big sleep for you!
Kirsty - Hi!! How are you and little Gussy?
-
thanks heaps for that kirstie.how are you and gussy going.it is great that you still pop in from time to time, love hearing from you.
kristie, chantelle is still sick as a dog, danni came over today and poor chantelle spent most of that time crying and clinging to me,she also had a big spew on daddies crisp fresh newspaper that he didnt get to read.she crashed out early tonight and was in bed at 6pm.hopefully she will be a bit better tomorrow as the penicilin should start to do its job.
nikki
-
Awww poor little munchkin...how are you going?? You must be exhausted! I hope you can get some sleep tonight...
-
Nikki when Jordan had thrush we used a cream from the chemist. you put a little on your nipple before a BF and then in their mouth aswell.
I cant remember the exact name so ask the chemist, I think it was daktozin????
Hope you get good sleep
Kirsy nice to hear from you, hope you and Gus are well.
Krisite I know I am so disappointed about not being able to make it.
Jordan went to sleep really well tonight so just popped in for a quick chat
Night all
-
Nikki - with the oral thrush - go to the doctors and get it checed out. For milo I used the daktarin gel, its over the counter, and his went away very fast. My nipple thrush was another story though, and I ended up with a bottle on gentian violet.
The causes in the article Kirsty posted are right. If you had it he could have been exposed at birth (thats what happed with me)
-
Rachael - Benjamin isn't circumcised either. Benjamin hasn't had any problems to date in his nether regions, but he does pull at his nappy when he needs to go to the toilet. His Aunt had been teaching him to do that without me knowing up until recently, when I questioned the action. I do need to ask Dh's mum for the potty she has for Benjamin as I think he's now well and truly capable of trying it out. Little accidents happen but, I think we'll manage. I hope you sort things out with your little guy
Tracey - I'd love a vacation like that...Make many lasting memories when you go though...
Kristy - Nice of you to pop in here...I hope the family is going well?
Nikki - Not a nice time for Harry atm...I hope you find something fast to cure it
Yael - I hope bub in tum stays happy and you don't find probs later
Missy - Benjamin fights his morning nap now. He's been hanging out until after lunch to crash and then going to bed early. I totally don't mind the early to bed bit though it's a nice change from 10pm bed time, but he's making up with a 6am rise. I wish they'd make up their minds huh? Time will come when they don't sleep during the day at all. Oh well...

Hello Ladies,
Well things sure do move very quickly around here!!!
I applied for a job at the new Priceline Pharmacy opening up near my place and good news. I have already had 1 interview on Wednesday and they called me today to come in for a 2nd one so that sounds promising.
Well nothing much new around the Leith Household at all…
Jett has not taken any more steps since the 4 a week or so ago, maybe it was a once off??
Jett can’t walk but he gets around, I found him in the toilet and didn’t think anything of it. Took him out and closed the door only to have Ben say ‘what is Jett’s toothbrush doing in the toilet’. I had to laugh, lucky he has a few.
My cards sales are going okay I have of loaded 5 of them so far, it is more a hobby than anything. If I get this job I will have zero spare time so??
Yael – I will be thinking of you all, I hope that the news is great. I have an info sheet on slap cheek if you want me to email it to you??
Christie – I hope things are going well for you, not long now.:D I keep trying to catch you on Msn but you never seem to be about.
Rayray – Glad to hear that Milo is doing better, I just can’t wait till Jett can tell me what is wrong instead of trying to guess all the time.
No nappy pulling around here, occasional willy touching but that is about it, pmsl!!
Tiggy – I am going to have to get some scape booking tips off you. I have no idea where to start or even how to start. What do I need??
I have got my meds now so things will hopefully be getting back on track and that ‘Black dog’ will run away. It has been my own fault I have put off getting them thinking things would be fine, but as normal they were getting worse.
Missy – Glad to hear that Callum had a blast at swimming. I would love to get Jett into it but I am so slack I must make some calls.
Wow you have to spunky looking kids. I just checkout the photo’s, tell that girl of yours she is so pretty.
Beck – So good to hear from you. I am missing your posts!!! I hope that you are getting on track after having your wisdom tooth pulled I am suppose to have mine done but I am putting it on the backburner for now.
I bet that you are getting really excited about your boys (Westlife)… I know that when you finish from the concert you will be hoarse from all the singing and screaming.:p
Tracey – Nothing wrong with the odd Macca’s, Jett loves it if we are on the run or for a treat.
Anyway sleep is needed...
-
Hi!
Not much news here....Oh Louis' new thing is to say "one more" hehe. So if he's eating grapes or something he'll look at me and say it...hehe. Soo funny!
Hi Trace and Rachael!
Melissa - Good luck with the Potty!!
Danielle - Good luck with the job at Priceline - sounds good! Oh no at the toothbrush in the toilet! hehe. When Louis started taking steps I would bribe him with the phone to walk towards me! hehehe. It worked!! Glad the cards are selling!
Hope you all have a great day!
-
Just popping in to say Coco took her first ever step today, all by herself!! Very exciting and we've only waited 15 months for this milestone!!!
hope everyone is doing well. Im having a jewellery party tomorrow and madly trying to catch up with people to see if they're coming. Amazing how few RSVP's I've received!!
have a good one xo
-
Woohoo Coco!!! What a clever girl!!!
Went shopping today...oohh I'm in so much trouble - bought all the toiletries etc for my hospital bag and bought Dylan and Louis some new clothes! Dh is going to kill me...MUST STOP SHOPPING!! He's away for the weekend and when he gets back we're going to sit down and work out a budget...so needed!
-
Meg - Yay Coco! Most of us usually duck and cover, the moment anyone says Tupperware party. I'd love to actually go to a jewellery party, or at least be invited to one. Can never get enough bling bling, but the funds in the bank say otherwise. You can always dream though
Melissa

coco is a clever girl.
tracey just messaged me to say that jordan took his first steps today also.well done jordan.

Hello Ladies,
Well I have some good news I have been offered a job at Priceline Pharmacy, I have taken the offer. I will be working full time for 3 weeks and then drop back to 20 hours a week. I am so happy knowing that I will have permeant hours each week.
I had a call from my other work this morning to ask me to come in for a shift, I had to turn it down as I didn’t want to miss this 2nd interview, looks like the gamble has paid off.
Had MG this arvo, we are now meeting every 2nd Friday and taking it in turns at having it at each other’s house. It was a really nice arvo sipping wine and working on our tans while the kids played under the umbrella on the grass.
Some of you December girls would remember Sammy Baileys mum, well she gets married next weekend. Bailey has started walking so it has been great timing as now he can walk down the isle instead of crawl.
Tracey - Congrats on Jordan taking his first steps. Looks like Jett is the last one pullin up the rear.
Nikki – You poor thing, I hope the kids start to feel better really soon.
Melissa – I hear you on ‘the funds in the bank’ bit, this 2nd income is going to be very handy.
Meg – :confetti: Yay Coco!!! I bet you were just so proud of her Meg. There will be no stopping her now. Jett can stand-alone for ages but is really scared to take the step.
Missy – My photo page is working now, Thank goodness.
Krisvee – You remind me of my friend Eb, she just loves to shop. She will never plan to buy anything and always comes back with truck loads. You can never have enough stuff.:p
-
Hi!
Grr - last night some people across our road were having a party (we live in units) which normally wouldn't bother me to much but they were walking right past my window and yelling and screaming...Because dh wasn't home it just made me really nervous iykwim? I think I finally dozed off around 12.30...They better not do it again tonight!!! (I feel like such an old fogey...hehe)
Big Yeah to Jordan taking his steps as well!! Woohoo!!
Nikki - So sorry to hear the kids are so sick...it must be so hard for you - I hope you get heaps of help over the weekend! Let me know if you need some help next week!
Danielle - Woohoo on the job at Priceline!! Thats great!! Glad you had fun at MG..mine seems to be slowly disentegrating...we usually meet up every fn but everyone seems so busy that it just doesn't happen...
The spending will just have to stop from now though...we have huge goals at the moment and if I don't stop we'll never reach them!
-
yeah it is a bit of a trap being a stay at home mum kritie, you need to get out of the house and the shops are usually the place to go and before you know it you have spent a fortune,i am the same, when dh sees our bank account he is going to spew.
i took chantelle back to the dr last night as she has bad dioreah and vomiting, turns out she was intolerent of the penicilin.poor thing,i feel awful knowing evertime i gave her it i was just making her worse.she is still very miserable today.thank god dh isnt working today,he is doing the basketball run with the boys.i am home with the babies.this is his first saturday at home since i had harry.
nikki
-
Oh Nikki - you weren't to know! I'm allergic to penicillin as well...Hopefully she starts getting better soon...
Thats great that dh has taken the boys...I suppose at this early stage it's hard to have a break from all the kids with Harry needing booby juice all the time...
How are YOU feeling though?? Are you coping ok? It can't be easy with the little ones so sick...don't forget that we're all here for you if you need anything...
-
hi everyone,
my goodness i haven't been posting since the monthly threads were closed and now i've got THREE full ones to read through! hehe.. anyway, thought i'd leave it for later and intro myself first.. i'm dana and i'm turning 30 (yikes!) this year. my little man is going onto 16 months now and johnny (dh) and i are going to start ttc next month! it was really quick with ethan so i hope it's the same this time.. we're hoping for a little girl.
ethan is a fantastic kid.. we've really been blessed with him. there's an old wives tale that says your second will be completely opposite from your first.. yikes i wonder if that's true. ethan was born via emergency c/s in november 2005 and i'm hoping for a vbac this time, though i've read heaps of horror stories.
anyway, can't wait to get to know you all and a huge hi to all the girls i've already met in the november thread.
-
Hi!
Dana - Ethan looks like a cutey! Ooh good luck TTC! Thats great he's been so good - Geez I hope the opposite is true then Dylan might actually sleep! hehehe. (although I can't complain now...)
I hope you can get your vbac with the next p/g!
-
Hi everyone, home from work, it was so boring
Dani Yeah on the job, it will be nice to get the extra cash and something diff to do. WHo wil look after Jett when you work?
Nikki Hope the bubs are getting better and you are getting some rest with Grant home for the weekend. You poor sweety.
Krisite Hope you get better sleep tonight.
CIndy hope the moving is going well.
Meg Yeah on Coco taking some steps, thats awesome.
Dana Ethan is a cutie. I am also hoping for a VBAC if we have another bubs. I hope you get it. Are you TTC now?
Well as you know Jordan took his 1st steps (3 of them) yesterday. He was at my MILs while I was at work and he walked across to his uncle. How exiciting. I cried when they rang to tell me, what a sook. :)
He hasnt really done it since, but we are encouraging him to walk from mum to dad and not to hold on, so hopefully it wont be too far away.
Less than a week now till we leave for Hawaii I CANT WAIT
-
Hello Ladies,
Hope you are all doing well. I have just been making so more cards I think I may be addicted to craft. I have been doing craft from a really young age as my Nana got me into it when I lived with her.
Think I will have an open house and sell them that way. Everyone has been asking about them but I don't caryy them around with me.
Jett and I have just come back from a visit to my Dad and stepmum's place. He has a drum kit there and he loves going over to bet the crap out of it. He has got so good now that he even does the foot peddle. I have a movie on my camera but have no idea how or where I can download it onto the net?? Any ideas of what sites allow this??
Where are you December Girls!!!!!!:(
Dana_s - Hi Dana! My Name is Danielle (Dani for short) I am 25 married, it will be 2 years tomorrow. Ben and I have one child Jett who is 14 months old, he was born on thw 2nd of December . He was born via emergency c/s as well. Good luck with TTC #2 we are not try for at least 3 years, I would love to have Jett around on his own for a while.
I too was thinking I would try for a VBAC but I think now I will just go back for the c/s and get my tummy tuck at the same time. I have heaps of loose skin from Jett, I was 79kg and got to 115kg, now I am down kinda close to that and I have all this flabby tummy skin.:(
Kristie – No Good about the neighbours and the party. I would have gone out there and asked them to please be quite. As Ben works arvo I have had to get a little more brave. I still pee my pants when I see people walking down the street if I am pulling in my drive, I normally don’t pull in and do a blocky.
Nikki – I agree with Kristie you weren't to know! Oh big Hugs for you. I hope you get a chance to put your feet up while DH does the basketball run.
Tracey – Well Jett goes to day-care on a Thursday just to great interaction with other kids and so I can get all the shopping and housework done (Ben works arvo shift so I am home alone every night).
I my gosh I must have missed you saying that you are going to Hawaii, Wow!! I have never been out of Oz but would love to go somewhere tropical like that.
Well back to the cards while Jett is sleeping..:D
-
Dani, its good that you have a hobby. What type of cards do you make? What a clever little man Jett is for playing the drums, he might be a muso?
Well today Jordan said MUM, FINALLY :) I am so excited. he has said it quite a bit today. He also learnt NAN. He is getting so clever and starting to pick things up. SLow and steady wins the race, I think will be his moto.
Well only 2 more days of work, YEAH i cant wait. I so need the break.
Hope everyone had a nice weekend.
-
Hi!
Had a gorgeous day today - the weather was nice and we had a bbq at my dads with the fam. Louis had a ball playing with everyone and running around. He only had 30min sleep all day! Dropped into my sisters on the way home as mum was dropping in and basically spent 1 1/2 all arguing with each other. My mum is so frustrating sometimes. My Oct buddies would remember I had heaps of arguments with her over xmas and now she's fighting with my sister. She's so unreasonable and annoying. The worst thing is they were arguing over my sisters boyfriend and she tried to drag my sisters kids into it (10 & nearly 8) by asking if they like him - WTF??? You don't drag kids into an argument like that - it's bad enough that they were listening to us all. She's such a cow. Anyway, I got home and she calls to keep on about it all - I told her I wasn't going to keep arguing and it still took me 20min to get off the phone. It's just too draining to argue like that!! Sorry for the vent!! It's just annoying that for once it's not my argument and yet somehow I'm in the middle of it....
Anyway...
Trace - How exciting that Jordan walked!! I don't blame you for crying - thats exciting!! I'm sure it won't be long and he'll be running around all over the place!
Yeah on him saying Mum!!! He seems to be going through a real growth spurt at the moment! Very clever!
Dani - Wow at Jett playing the drums!! Thats very cool! hehe. I'm not sure where to upload it...sorry. Sounds like you've been very busy making cards! Maybe you should keep some in the car so if you see people you've got them handy...
Yeah..I used to be really nervous about being home alone but I'm not soo bad now...unless I hear something of course!! hehe. I definately wouldn't have gone over to the party...I know there only young but I would get scared that they would come over and do something to the car or knock on the door or something just to be a*****les....
OK - I'm off to bed - I'm buggered. Oh and dh came home tonight all safe and sound which is good..I always get worried when he's out of phone range!
Chat tomorrow!

i cant beleive i am going to tell you this but i need to get it off my chest.the worst thing happened tonight,oh god i dont even know how to tell you this,it is just awful and now i am crying cos just thinking about it is really upsetting me.
i put chantelle in the bath,i sat with her and then the phone rang,i quickly ran to answer it as she is usually quite safe in there as the water is only up to her boobies.i then ran the phone outside to dh cos it was for him, when i got back to the bathroom chantlle was under the water drowning.it was the worst thing in my life i have ever had to experience.she was thrashing about, her little eyes were wide open and she was gasping for air.i dont think she was under for long, but i cant even imagine the fear she must have been going through.i ran and grabbed her so fast and yanked her out of the water and wrapped her straight into a towel and ran towards dh while trying to bash the water out from her little lugs.she couldnt breath for about 30 seconds as she was full of water, she finally began to cough it up and gasped for air and began to scream.i feel so frigin disgraced with myself.i left her for about 1 minute all up.how could i do that.i am a pitiful mother for thinking that a 16 month old could be safe in a bath of water on her own for that long.i dont know but she could have even been under the water for that whole minute.i have learnt a very serois lesson here and i earge you all NEVER EVER leave your baby unattended in the bath, even for a second.i am sure i am going to have nightmares tonight and if i dont she probably will.i feel so sick in my stomache every time i see that picture of her under the water struggling for life.
she is fine now and sleeping peacfully in her cot all snug and warm and alive, but what if i was too late.i hate myself for this.

Oh Nikki, what an upsetting experience for you all. I am glad she is ok, and I can kind of understand how you would have believed that she would be ok in there alone for a minute. It is amazing how quickly something like that can happen. When Logan was about 5 months old he fell off the change table, I had only turned around for a second because I dropped a nappy and he fell flat on his face. I have felt horrible ever since but thankfully he was alright. Don't hate yourself, just be glad she was alright and put it down to a silly mistake you will never make again. I like to take the phone off the hook when I am bathing Logan but that is also because I am usually home alone when I do it (or my mum never answers the phone anyway when she is home) and I don't want any distractions.
Dani, congratulations on the job! I hope you get the amount of hours you want there and that you enjoy the job. Wow on Jett playing the drums! One of Logan's uncles bought Logan a set of drums for Christmas, he gets to play with them some times but if I leave them out he tries to take them apart and I have to hide them when his cousin comes over so he doesn't wreck them.
Tracey, Yay on Jordan walking! I still feel like crying watching Logan toddle around the house. But then I have been pretty emotional since having him and most things baby/toddler related seem to make me want to cry LOL
Also another yay for him saying Mum, it is so wonderful when you hear them say it isn't it? And wow lucky you for going to Hawaii, I hope you have a great time!
Kristie, sorry to hear about the argument you were dragged in to. I can never understand why some people feel a need to drag people in to things that really don't have anything to do with them.. It just makes more people upset. I hope everything is ok now.
Logan and I had a good weekend, he is really beginning to try to walk everywhere he can, until he gets tired or falls over of course. Logan has been pretty upset but he has had constipation and last night I just realised he has 12 teeth, which would explain why he has been so cranky, apart from tummy troubles and still being wheezy.
Well I should go I need to go over some reading I had to do for a tutorial today, just to make sure I "get it" but it's about how children develop and then more specifically on antenatal/postnatal development. Very interesting.
I hope you all have a good day
