Thanks I hope so too.
Yes DS2 is huge, hes almost as big as my cousins 14 month old :o
Im trying to talk DH in to moving to Mt Gambier, would be a much better home for the $ (smaller house but much more backyard), and a much much more cruisy lifestyle. So far he is not sold though. Still working on it. Somethings going to have to give though becuase I wont go on like this it's doing my head in.
Wow Rach - That's a big move - how far away is that? What would you guys do for work?? I can understand wanting to downsize a bit though - not really worth all the extra stress sometimes! Good luck with getting Neil on side!!
Its about a 5 hour drive, just over the border. My cousin and his family live there.
Quite a few SA government agencies have offices there, theres a job going at the moment that I'd love to apply for but even if we decided to move, we couldnt do it until at least july due to the way our motrgage is structured (fixed rate & breakfees). With the way rates are going though, by then it may not cost us anything to break our fixed rate.
Its a shame cos the job sounds really good.
ohhh racheal, that is terrible, poor little milo.
wow, oscar is growing so quickly now,he will be 1 before you know it.
all is well here, harry has had 3 boughts of tonsilitis in as many months,so he is seeing specialist next month to talk about a tonsilectomy.not sure what they will say but he has 7 recorded episodes on his medical file so we will wait and see.
all else is well.harry will be 3 on monday.
work is good and everyone is is alive and kicking.
starting to look at prices for a trip to bali this yr.im very excited that chan starts 4 yo kinder this year, she didnt do 3 yo so it is a big deal to her.
school hols have been great so far,we have had lots of little adventures.
hope to see some of you soon
Hi Nikki!
So good to hear from you! Poor Harry - sounds like the best thing would be to get rid of his tonsils?? Good luck with it all!
OMG - I can't believe he will be 3 on Monday - that's CRAZY!! Where on earth has all that time gone?? I remember going to your house after you had him and being so excited to have cuddles with him!
How exciting going to Bali!
Yeah at Channy going to 4yo kinder! I'm sure she'll have a ball! Louis is very excited to start kinder again as well - he has the same assistant from last year so is super excited!
I'm just trying to get myself organised at the moment - both for kinder and for when bubs arrives. Seem to be going along ok - have been getting the flylady emails and although I don't follow everything they say it has helped me get into a bit of a better routine (although I'm still a long way from being properly organised!)
I'm feeling good but just a bit cranky and short with the kids...I've pretty much been like this in each p/g at this stage (as Michael so kindly reminded me - LOL!) It's not nice though...sometimes I just get a bit over all the fighting the boys do and the not listening!! I get sick of my own voice sometimes...
Ok...Chat later!
Nikki when is Harry having his tonsils out?apologies if u have said already, on iPhone it's hard to scroll!
I had a job interview yesterday, I have mixed feelings about how it it went, I guess time will tell eh?
The work sounds very interesting and it's a big payrise if I get it. If not my current job is ok and I'll focus more on finding one for dh
boys are both good. The big boy is loving kinder so that's good. His teachr rang us to say he's doing well...is it normal that they do that or is it cos she knows my parents?
Hi!
Took me a while to work out who was posting! LOL! How are you going?? Good luck with your job interview!! How come your looking for a new one???
I wouldn't expect a phone call from kinder but it's nice that they've given you one!!
We will so have to organise a catch up soon - it's been forever!!
All good here - having a lazy day today! Louis has been going really well at kinder although some of the attitude I'm getting is pretty full on - LOL! I think it's just him being tired and cranky but geez!!
Hopefully we're getting a new car this weekend/week cross fingers!! I'm very excited!!
Hi to everyone else - if you're even reading the forum! LOL!
Well, I started out looking for one for dh, and found myself looking on seek and saw an ad for a job that sounded extremely similar to my previous job (that I was made redundant from) so after checking that it was not the same company I applied cos the location is better and it is 10% more $ for less hours
Turns out at the interview it's a bit different to how it was described. I'm still really interested but not sure how qualified I am.
If I don't get it I'm up for some really good training here next month so it's all good, I'd love the extra cash though
so how long to go???
Sounds great Rach - good luck with it!!
5 weeks to go...struggling today though...I've just been feeling tired and a bit urgh..you know when you get that but you don't really have a good reason to be feeling like it, you just do???
I think it gets a bit like it as well when I'm just at home...chatted to my mum before and all she can do is crap on about herself and not even ask how I'm going...in all seriousness she just talked non-stop about her work for 40min and didn't even ask once how I was feeling - even after I said I was feeling tired and urgh - and she just goes - join the club - everyones feeling like that at the moment...she's such a cow sometimes - Anyway - sorry to vent - you've just caught me at a bad moment! LOL!!!!!!!! Now all I"m doing is talking about myself - LOL!
omg i havnt been on here for ages, all is well here
rach, harry gets his tonsils and adnoids out on the 16th april (2 weeks).
congrats again kristie on the safe arrival of beautiful jayden,im so excited about seeing him and stealing a cuddle.
so i heard that sadly a member has passed away after the loss of a child.i dont know the details and couldnt fing it in here,i figured one of you might know more
Hi!
Nikki - Thanks - are you going to Charlottes b'day party?? We will see you then if you are!
Not sure about the sad news...sounds awful though...
ETA: https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...ondi-girl.html
So as for me - Jayden Luke arrived Monday 29th at 5.55am - was a looonnnggg night - established labour started at 10pm the night before - I was sooo tired but managed to go drug free!! (not that I wanted to by the end - LOL) I ended up birthing him standing up - I think I needed the help of gravity - he weighed 8lb 2!!! I'm sooo glad I don't have to do it again though - it's so nice to know our family is complete now! He's just gorgeous and is doing really well - he's breastfeeding really well and starting to stretch out already to 3 hourly feeds! Seems to feed more often at night though the little cheeky! Am super tired and not sure how I'm going to go when Michael goes back to work but I'm sure I'll find a way to manage - haven't had baby blues yet - think I"m saving them for his first day back when the kids drive me nuts - LOL! They're going pretty well though and have adjusted quite well to another new baby!
OK...hope you're all enjoying your Easter weekends!! Look forward to seeing you all soon!!
Chat later! xoxo
ITs such a sad story about BC's suicide! Not nice at all.
Kristie - sorry to hear you are so exhausted, i bet the little man is just gorgeous though and i am looking forward to having a snuggle with him too!!!
Chars b'day has ended up being quite big! I think we are going to have 20-30 kids here! OOPS!! So not expecting that, it will be fun though and lots of mess (we are decorating cup cakes and i have a face painter coming too!!) I just have to organise some games now and get the cup cakes ordered and get all the decorating bits and pieces!
Today i am having a study day - al is in charge of the girls so i can get some done but all i want to do is go and sit in the sun with my book im reading at the moment! LOL
OK I best get back to me study
Omg Cindy - Your so brave having all those kids at your house!! The boys are really looking forward to it!! I can't believe our Char Char & Dylan are going to be 3!!! We're having a a little family party for Dylan - too much to organise anything bigger...I've bought heaps of toy story decorations though so he's going to love it! We're just ordering pizzas - LOL!!
It is such a beautiful day!! Good luck getting motivated to study when you have a day to yourself!! Sounds so nice....
We were going to go to the park earlier but would you believe that our new car battery is flat!!! They've taken Michaels work car while he's on leave as well so he's had to ride his bike down to buy a jumpstart pack thing...gosh we have no luck with cars at the moment - it's crazy!!!
Ok...bubs is crying...got to go!
Howdy,
We had a fairly quiet weekend, mostly hung out with the family on Friday and Sunday.
Cindy, Im not sure whether we can make it on Sunday yet. DHs cousin had a baby (well his wife did) yesterday and there was talk of some family thing on Sunday so Im not sure. I hope it was their idea cos its so soona fter having the baby. Anyway I will talk to him about it and let you know as soon as I can.
Yes very sad I also read another members husband passed away over the weekend its all very sad. Ive been telling DH now that he will have to start doing something about his diet and exercise. I dont think he was listening though :wall:
Last week I took bub to the paed, for of allthings, failure to thrive. HEs crossed over 3 weight curves, but height still 95th percentile.
Paed walked out in to the waiting room, took one look at my tank boy and asked where the other people were, he was looking fo the FTT baby hahah
He also had a look at his hips as the health nurse was worried about hip dysplasia cos he is super flexible, but apparently just moderate hypermobility and nothing to worry about.
Milos still naughty and telling us he wont be going to school next year, hes sure kinder is enough lessons for him.
Hope everyone's easter was FABULOUS and the kiddies all found lots and lots of eggs...
My boys were more excited finding them than eating them!! I have soooooooo many eggs left...so instead of buying freddo frogs, they can have an egg instead!
CONGRATS Kristie and family on Jayden...he sounds just perfect and you are such an amazing mum...i'm sure it will take some adjusting when Michael goes back to work...but you'll be great...you just take it all in your stride!!...I'm so glad to hear he is settling in so well too...
Rach, what a crack up Milo telling you he doesn't need to go to school next year...Jack is busting my balls to go now!!
Cindy...I hope you got some study done...why do we always end up on the computer when there are things to be done??...
Anyway..I'd better be off and get some housework done before I have to start work...:D
Hi!
Rach - I read that post as well - how sad for her - I can't even imagine...It's hard to get guys to think seriously about their health - they never think bad things will happen to them! I keep meaning to book Michael back in at the dr - a couple of years ago his cholesterol was already quite high for his age and it high chol and high blood pressure run in his family! In fact I might book him in tomorrow while he's off work!
Glad your little man had a good visit at the Paed! LOL at Milo not wanting to go to school!! I'm sure he'll love it! Louis is so excited for school...It's funny - a year or 2 ago I couldn't imagine him going but now I think he's so ready for it!! He gets bored at home now...
Alex - LOL - Same my boys - they had a bit of choc on Sunday but other than that it's pretty much all sitting on top of the fridge...they were feral though - I think it's worse if they're not that used to eating it - my boys def don't eat it that often so went hypo!
Thanks - he's a gorgeous little boy!! I'm hoping knowing it's the last time will get me through the sleep deprivation - LOL!!!
Ok...better get ready for bed before he wakes up for his next feed! Look forward to seeing most of you on Sunday!! Chat later!
How did he die does anyone know? I havent had a look for the posts yet but i am wondering...
well i got to have cuddles with baby jayden today and he is just sooo precious! so tiny and perfect almost makes a non clucky cindy clucky! LOL
LOL at you being clucky Cindy! hehehe... thanks for dropping the tupper around!
Hope everyone is doing well.
It's Oscars birthday today, I can't believe how fast a year has gone by!
I've got 7 days left until my last day at work, starting the new o e straight away and I can't wait! It will be nice to not have to take a calculator to do the supermarket for a while.
Both the boys are doing well, M is terrorising at kinder and we have his prep interview in a couple of weeks. Again I can't believe how fast this has come. I'm dreading trying to get him to wear a uniform, it's hard enough with clothes he likes
I'm really sorry I haven't been able to come to any meetups of late. Things have been really strained at home financially and emotionally. But dh is working part time now and that together with my job will take the financial strain out so that I can work out whether the emotional side is ever going to change. •sigh•
Oh rach! sorry to hear things have been so strained - So glad to hear neil has started working and you have found a better paying/ more enjoyable job!
Now Did i see you were having a candle party? Can you please text me or email me the date so i dont miss it? I find fb really hard to keep tabs on at the moment, especially with the events stuff
Well i am snowed down at school at the moment but nearly finished at the same time woo hoo!!!! It will be lovely to be able to tick that off my to-do list for a while!
OK, i better go get char to bed- she is such a night owl at the moment ... i wonder where she gets that from??? I am actually going to the dr tomorrow about my sleeping... I have had enough of not enough sleep!
Night girls
Cindy I've emailed you.
I hope the Drs goes well tomorrow.
I have issues sleeping but its more tha I dont go to bed than anything else, oops.
well, i went to the drs and i now have sleeping tablets! I am only going to use them on my really bad nights although she has suggested i try taking them for 3nights in a row to try to get into a new sleep habbit!
i also had bloods taken to have a look at everything and anything...
tomorro the girls are staying at my sisters house and al and i are going out - no idea where or what to do but we are going out on a date! its been 18months since we had any time without kids. Not good! I am leaving it up to al to work out what we are doing so it will be interesting to see what he comes up with....
Hi!!!!!
Thought I'd bump this and say hello! How are all the kiddies going at school? Louis is loving it...the teacher had to go find him today though because he was playing with some friends and didn't hear the bell - lol!!! Found out this afternoon that he has a spot on the bus so luckily he'll start catching it on Monday - I was driving 90km a day to take him to school!!!
Sorry I can't make it on Sunday...we've just had so much on lately that we just need a weekend at home to get on top of everything!!
Anyway, just a short note to see if any of you feel like/have time for a chat!
Speak soon...xoxoxoxooxoxoxoxox
Hi! Lol at not hearing the bell. I did that once at school but I think
I was in grade 3 or 4 hehe
Our bus takes 20 minutes to get to school and so far he has mostly been fine. It's a 30km trip but there are no traffic lights and only 3 intersections the whole way there.
The only thing I'd change is that they don't have allocated seats for primary school. Given it's a private bus and they're only allowed on it if theyre on the list etc I guess I thought they'd have set seats. It's been ok other than the second morning when he was still standing up and an older boy told him to sit down rather abruptly. I had the school call asking whether he was meant to be on the bus cos he told his teacher he wasn't catching it!
Other than that it's been really good and he is loving going
Hi!
Just lost my post...grrr!
We missed the bus this morning - they gave me the wrong time! He caught the bus on the way home though but I think he would have missed the stop if I hadn't stuck my head in! lol...
He's doing well - already has a girlfriend apparently the cheeky little thing! He's trying so hard to be grown up but he's pretty tired and has had a couple of good meltdowns...
On top of that he starts swimming next week...omg he's going to be tired!!
Chat soon!
We have swimming on a sat. morning. I'm not sure how he would go if it was on a weeknight.
They have sport Monday and Wednesday so at least I'm keeping up withthe uniform washing and lunch making so far!
He's having swimming at school! I think it's like 2 or 3 times a week for 2 weeks!! He's starting Tae kwon do tomorrow but luckily he'll have a few Wednesdays off...
We made the bus this morning...So strange sending him off on a bus! Also nice not having to drive all the way into Mansfield though...
I'm going to head down to the community centre this morning and try out the playgroup to give the other boys something to do! Dylan starts 3yo kinder on Fri so that will be great for him as well!
Chat soon!
Hi hi
How is everyone going with school holidays?
Hi!
School holidays are great! We've just been chilling out a bit! For I think the first time in his life Louis told me he was bored yesterday...I guess he's so used to the stimulation at school that just playing at home (and they were stuck inside because of the rain) that he didn't quite know what to do with himself.
So nice to have him at home though...I've heard him a few times with the boys sounding so grown up!! Dylan is so happy to have him home as well - he's really felt it this term having away so much - they really are the best of friends.
I'm enjoying the peace (and laziness) this week but next week will be a bit more busy with heading down to Melb, Dylans b'day and easter.
How are you going Rach? What's news for you?
Not much news at the moment.
M has been really good with O since it's been school holidays, I think he misses being home with him.
O is still obsessed with the bath, he climbed in with M, fully clothed (in pjs) on Monday night
Trying to get DH to look for a job, otherwise I might be looking at moving.
That's pretty heavy Rach...where do you think you'll move to? Or will you just downsize? What does dh think of moving - or do you think he'll get a job so you can stay where you are?
Not sure, somewhere local, or closer to school
Hopefully it won't come to that.
Cross fingers for you then! Moving can be so stressful...xoxo
