Good morning, I keep coming on here to type but never seem to get to finish!
Sue, I'm using Medium atm. They fit fine and I think they'll fit for a few months yet. The large are still in the drawer, I'll pull them out soon and have a look. I always get sucked in with the photos. But then I've only just got the newborn ones framed.
Donna, poor Molly, hope she's feeling a bit better. Yay for her rolling over. It's so exciting when they do something new.
Kell, good to see you back. Yeah, work sucks. I'll probably look to doing night shifts too, once we have the sleep thing sorted. It's hard, but worth it when I dont' miss much time with the girls.
Kerry, glad the flight went well. Hope you have fun shopping!!!
Jo, how did the sandmand night nappy go. The ones I have are starting to look a bit worn out and I might need a new one.
CJ, how did you go at the doctors? Hope Madeliene is feeling better.
Eej, wow you still have paid leave left! I might have if I didn't leave work so early. Oh well. When I went back to work after Danielle DH and I arranged our shifts so that we'd take it in turns looking after her. Don't know if it will work this time, but I hope so.
Niamh, must be nice being back home with Eireann. I'm sure she's charming everyone.:D
Pam, Poppy must be growing well, nearly size 0. Ashlyn seems to have stopped and hasn't put on any weight and only about 0.5cm in the last month. Though the way she feed yesterday that might be about to change.
Ashlyn is doing well. Still no sign of any teeth. I've started giving her a little bit of solids. She loves it and has so far had some avocado and cauliflower. Well, she's tasted it and rolled it around in her mouth for a bit. Not sure if she's actually swallowed any yet. She rolled from her tummy to her back the other day and had a bit of a giggle when I went into her room and she was the other way around. Well I best get ready because we are about to go swimming. That should really tire her out.
-
Captain - I used the sandman last night and he went to sleep at 6pm. At 9.30pm he woke and I was paranoid it was too bulky his little bum was huge and his legs miles apart so I gave in and put a sposie on.
I have used my itti bitti d'lish today they are awesome so neat and small and not bulky at all. I also love my imse vimse all in one's.
I have some BBH coming next week to try as a night nappy. I dont know what to do with my sandman. Perhaps I need to take some of the boost out. I really dont want to be changing him in the night if I can help it. Not sure what to do. I have pocket nappies and wonder are they any good at night or do I need to stick with my sandman and BBH with wool covers. They are classed as fitted arent they? I think from research I have done they are the best for night time.
It is going to be dry ready for tonight so I may give it another go. I have another brand cant remember the name may give that a go tonight.
Sorry cant do personals GTG Xavier is waking and not happy

OMGOODNESS!!! I had the WORST day!!! Firstly at Weight watchers I didn't lose any weight and I was so bummed cause I thought i'd done ok, then the family assitance woman got cross at me when I went to change our rent amount cause we got a letter saying it had gone up, but she said no its gone down I didn't know what she was talking about and then I realised (after I'd changed it with the FAO) that the letter was wrong when it said per forntight it was really per week! So its wrong now with the FAO! Then go to get my phone fixed cause its lost ALL my numbers!!!! and all the guy can say is that's weird...WTF so I say what can you do about...oh we have to send it off but you'd lose all your pics etc and will take 6-8 weeks. So cross and then the worst thing......I reverse into a cement pillar and severly damage our car! So its a $600 excess and we can't really drive it cause the left indicator is broken. We jsut got it back from the repairers!!! I cried and cried. I don't even know how it happened the pillar must have jumped out at me! I feel so stupid. :redface:I'm so glad Emily wasn't in the car.
Sorry for the me post just had to vent will BBL.
-
Erin, big, big hugs    I hope today has been better for you. I feel your pain about the car -I've done similarly inexplicable things while driving in the past. Like hitting a bridge... oops  Lucky that Emily wasn't in the car, what a fright.
Ahhh, looks like my time is up on the computer! The little prince is awake. Oh! He now has cut two teeth :) Will be back later :)
-
finally...time to post...
first of all we're fully breastfeeding again. little brag i know but i'm so proud of myself as not so long ago i only had 50ml of milk between both boobs as i let my milk go. ok ok so she'll only breastfeed lying down which means i've had to lie down on other peoples living room floor to feed her but we'll get there!! it took 7 weeks in total and it was lot of fun building up my supply again eating breastfeeding cake and munching fenugreek the not so fun was loads of hours pumping. the kick up the butt for me to try to perservere with it was hearing that the stopping breathing may have been caused by formula because of reflux. she hasn't had an episode since i went back to breastfeeding so maybe the dr was right? it has only been a week though so i shouldn't get too excited.
erin - oh dear that does sound like a dreadful day. i would cry too!! :grouphug: you did a great job breastfeeding for so long. i think anyone who pumps full time is AMAZING. it's so time consuming and can be thankless at times. u did great :) thanks for posting for me btw.
joh - yay i'd love to meet you when i move up to bris. its not till mid march but it will be good to know another mummy up there. are you southside or northside?? i heard that sandman was the best night nappy too?? although to be honest, i nearly always have to change nappies during the night or early morning as she's quite a heavy wetter.
tenille = how did ashlyn go with the cauliflower? i thought it gave them wind??
Nicambhar - i can soooo relate to your baby store comment haha. my mum wants to buy liberty a motorised swing thingy (which i think she's too old for already as she likes to try and get out of her rocker) but we decided even if she only uses it for 5 minutes its another thing we can add to the grumpy baby day pile of amusement toys.
donna - i just finished saying the "happy baby" thing to my SIL. i agree with mel, might be teeth? although she might just want to move around more now that she's had a taste of mobility??
CalebsMum4Eva - i'm the same with the mcns. its so addictive. at this rate i'm going to end up like mel with 148 haha just joking mel!!
oh drats have to go... hi to everyone else and sorry i didn't get time to post!
-
hey girls!! aren't they all growing up so quick!! It's sorta sad :(
I have been expressing and getting such dismil amounts its a bit disheartening! I am supposed to take my eldest to swimming lessons starting this Thursday and have to leave Ashton for a few hours and am so worried since he hasn't left my side yet!
He is cruising around everywhere now. Have to watch him cos he likes to pull on things like curtains and cords and stuff...
He has started eating now too which I can't remember if I said already? BLS and he loves his toast and banana is the favourite even though it stains everything white to brown! Have to soak so many tops it's not funny!
Well he is awake, yay for me. Take care!
-
Hi girls, can't sleep:doh:
Kerry, glad things are going so well enjoy yourself, you deserve it. 2 teeth now, he is a clever little chicken.
eej  sounds abit like the days I have been having????? Touch wood but so far no walls posts etc have jumped out, but have been known to in the past. OOOOOPPPPSSS!!!!!!!
Sue, I always walk away with the whole package!!! Not even close to enough places to hang more pics either....
missymoo, I can't believe how much Ashton is doing... Already onto toast ;) I hope you get larger amounts with the expressing, I have never had much luck as far as that goes, I think I have more milk than I can express... not good if you need it in a bottle though.
Lauren, yay for you!!! Amazing what can be acheived when you really want to, I hope that it does keep the breath holding at bay.
Captain, wow Ashlyn is doing well on solids as well, we have'nt even tried anything yet, Poppy does'nt seem interesteds?????
Indie, we have the same problem in our house, with being frustrated. poppy was okay until she could roll over and now everything is annoying her.
Hope all the bubs who are sick are gettingover it, I am definately not looking forward to that!!!! My little ones have only had mild colds, no gastro or anything, but with DS at kinder I am dreading what could be around the corner???
Poppy is rolling over both directions but only from back to tummy, then gets angrier after each attempt, like most of you we are pulling more and more things out to try to entertain her, but find myslef carrying her around heaps. I can remember the others, getting a bit cross except for miss 3 years ( who is actually my grumpiset now) she seemed to just get on with it. The othres were all sitting around now, but Poppy is'nt even close, she wants to lean forward whne she is sitting up???? So has to be strapped into everything so she does'nt face plant. Showing no signs of wanting to try solids, no big increase in bottles, or chewing actions, she has been waking around 3-4 am but only for a chat and a cuddle then goes back to sleep until 6-7am then wants up and no feed until an hour later???? Not hungry apparently..does'nt take after me!!!!
-
Pam I know the feeling of wondering whats around the corner! Jaidan started kinda last week and I am waiting for the gastro and headlice and sooo not looking forward to it!
Poppy will be rolling around the room in no time! Even though Ash can get around everywhere himself he still wants to be carried all the time which is ok when I don't have things to do lol
-
Hi Girls,
Its quiet in here again!
Pam- thank you so much for saying I'm doing a good job...it brought tears to my eyes. Emily is the same with the face planting :D
Mel- apparently it is quite hard to express when you are exclusively Bfing. Don't be disheartened. Ashton sounds like he is loving his food...so is emily!
Lauren- How good are you!!!! That is so awesome. Well done.
Sue- I've got EMily in the M in the BBH magicall's too, I'm not sure how long they'll fit her either. I ordered 6 more Bumgenius too  Can you put any of the pics in the gallery?
Indie- Em seems to be getting frustrated too, it must be their age?
Kell- I'm really enjoying the mcns, we just started today. I had a bg on her maybe 15 mins and she filled it! No leaks tho!!!
Kerry- I hope you and Matthew are enjoying HK!
Well we have been trying out some solids, we started with toasted english muffin w/ melted cheese and she loved it. Now we have tried baby corn (a fav) broc, cauli, pasta, red caps, pak choy (didn't like either of those much) banana, rockmelon and pear. Its messy but fun.
Playgroup was a drama today, We heard a crash and I went out to see what it was and a man inspecting the building was on the ground... he fell off his ladder! His leg was so broken... it was really pretty horriffic. I called the ambulance and luckily one of the mum's is a nurse. The poor man had just booked his trip of a life time to europe that morning!
-
Erin, Emily must be loving her food. You've been a bit more adventorous than me though. So far Ashlyn has had banana, cauliflower, yogurt pancakes, pasta(plain and with sauce) and avacado. I don't know if she's actually swallowing any but she's having fun. That poor bloke with his leg, would have been pretty awful.
Pam, I was hoping to be able to hold Ashlyn off with the food for a while but she seems to know what she wants. I wish she wasn't too interested yet. Ashlyn isn't too hungry first thing in the morning either, but then she still eats 2 - 3 times at night!
Mel, I wasn't expressing to much either. It took me a week to get enought for Ashlyn to have a bottle. But I found the more I did the easier it was. I see you have your eye on that gorgeous night nappy on auction. Good luck getting it.
Lauren, Yay on fully bfing. That's fantastic. I'd never heard that cauliflower can give them wind. Not sure it matters though because she didn't swallow any.
Jo, don't stress if the sandman is too bulky. You can reduce the boosting or just wait till Xavier is a bit bigger. The fitted and wool covers are better at night because they are breathable. The pockets aren't, but if you are still changing nappies at night it souldn't matter. Depends how much they wet at night too. Both my girls are heavy wetters so the BBH just never lasted.
Well Ashlyn has her first cold. Must be the time for it. She had a temp last night but seems happier today. I have been using one of the nose sucker things to keep her nose clear so she can eat. Other wise nothing much else going on. She can either push up on her arms of get her knees under her, but not at the same time, so I don't think she'll be crawling anytime soon. I've started preparing the house though.
-
EEj sounds like she loves her food as much as Ashton!! That poor man :(
Captain isn't it gorgeous!! For anyone interested go to ozebaby and there is a wizz kidz night nappy on auction for the CFA.
Nothing really news here. Pretty over a cranky bubba!!
-
Yeah Em is loving her food...she is def MY daughter hee hee
(I'm cheating and copying this from what I jsut posted in the bls thread)
i am part of a parents as teachers program where I get shown how through play Emily learns basically, anyway the woman was here at home yest and she asked about solids. I was a bit hesitant to tell her about BLS cause I didn't wnat to hear "you shouldn't be doing that"....but she was really interested. She even took the ABA wesite address down to get their booklet. She said she has so many kids she sees that can't come off their purees so she can see how this would work! How cool is that!
Also she saw Em in her BBH minkee MCN and wanted to know all about those too, so she took the names of the ones I have and was going to look into them! I actually taught her something!
-
EEJ what is the ABA address? I can't find anything on there about BLS :(
-
I bought one of their booklets from their mothersdirect site- "Introducing solids". It doesn't name it as BLS but talks about finger foods and family foods and letting your baby set the pace.
-
Hi everyone,
I know I've been missing- in- action, but I have a really good excuse! I've spent the lst three weeks moving the kids into a place of our own!
At the moment we don't have the internet on at my house, and I get my new computer in 3 weeks so I've got a couple of minutes to myself ( I stayed over my mum's tonight after my birthday dinner) so I jumped on the computer here!
Yep I am now officially 39 today.:rolleyes::rolleyes:
Anyway I am taking Emme to the doctors next week 4 her 6 month injections, and we are probably going to discuss what to do next about her reflux as it's still pretty back as she is still my little chucky-girl!
She has started crawling and is very close to standing up by herself while holding onto something!
I've decided to start her on Farex on the weekend as she has started to try and take food off me!;);)
She is 66.6 cms ( I'm trying not to take that as a bad sign!) so she is only 1 cm shorter than her cousin who is 3 months older than her! Yay, that gives me hope she may not be as short as me (5 ft!!!)
Well I am absolutely exhausted as I have had a big day. I will try to get back on ASAP.
All our best wishes,
Natalie, Bella & Emme!
-
Happy birthday!!
LOL at 666 ;) WTG on the crawling. Hope the doc can fix the reflux :(
-
Hi girls. I'm still around but finding it sooo hard to read and post, Bella is whinging all day and bloody night lately and I am losing my mind. Have df on my back about getting the BAS done and lodged on time - fat chance.... with absolutely no help from him..
Better run, pooey girl is whinging AGAIN
-
whats bas?
Is she teething?
-
I think I know why its quiet in here... all our babies have started WHINGING!! AGH!
I don't have much time as I'm supposed to be packing for Bris, moving truck comes next week and I've been busy buying mcns rather than packing
Highlights:
- no more incidents of breath-holding!!
- can move really fast backwards (but tries to get into power cords)
- is starting to move forwards but a lot slower
- full time mcn use is so easy! Even wear them out to the shops.
- went to sleep by herself for the first time in the cot, ususally needs to be cuddled to sleep!!
Lowlights:
- whinging and whinging, need I say more??
- Reflux is still around, not sure when its going to go, just before swimming she spewed all over us both. And we were already running late!!
Mel you probably have a lot more milk then what you can express. It must be hard though to try and find time to pump with the other boys to run after!!
Nicambhar - big hugs, I can relate to the whinging, its not fun!
Nat - sounds like a big step forward for you, hope the girls are good for you! happy birthday btw!
captain - the dr told me about cauliflower with breastfeeding, i don't know if you've ever eaten too much cauliflower before but its true!! my friends were on some strange diet where they had cauliflower rather then rice or pasta with meals and i had so much wind the next day!!
erin - sounds like you're having fun with the mcns and solids (Liberty is the same, loves food like her mummy). i think i know the forums you were talking about. Some of them are un-moderated and gees people can get nasty. There's a new secondhand nappy site coming soon called nappychic, its still a work in progress atm. And a word from a sorry me, be careful who you buy from!! I have lost $60 so far which really bites. Two people who were supposed to send parcels haven't and that was a fortnight ago. Although that has happened before and it showed up a week later. I had them express so they were registered but didn't realise that they weren't insured unless you specifically ask for it. Hopefully you'll hear from a happy me next week when they show up!!
oh crap, time has gone by fast and i'm supposed to be packing!! :wall:
-
Hi girls, eej, an interesting day at playgroup:doh:? poor bloke ,wonder what he did to desevre that!!! Well I think I might have to have a read up on BLS I just thought it meant that you started your bubs when they wanted, now I realize it is letting them try what they want.... I thought a muffin with cheese was way out there.
Nat happy birthday, belated but better than never. Whoo Hoo all these babies that are doing things, exciting. My little Poppette is still just laying around a roll here and there is it.
Nic, you are busy...relax ;) I have to really make myself get on here, otherwise it would be weeks at a time and I don't work!!! So many places to go so little time:rolleyes:
Captain, poor little Ashlyn... I feel so sorry for her Poppy is sick as well. Sleeping at the moment, thank goodness.
Missymoo, how do you find the time for all your posting??? Maybe you type faster than me!!!
Well I have Gabe sick, with a cold, bad cough, sore tummy and throat and temp. Miss Poppette is also sick with a cold and temp, spent last night screaming for hours. She has been sleeping all morning making up for lack of sleep last night, I am keeping an eye on her JIC (the thoughts that run through my head:doh:) I did'nt ,meantion it before but my oldest DD came home, not by choice the people told her they could'nt keep her any longer!!!! (Just happens to conincide with not being able to Youth Allowance.)$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ in the eyes me thinks!!!!!! But she has been giving us grief. This morning she refused to go to school because she worked late last night and is tired.:wall: I am at my wits end, I wonder what is going to happen next, all the people she hangs out with are stealing and doing drugs, she told me this, so must'nt be doing that YET!! Bu t I can't help worry about when she might decide to do it. I feel like she is trying to get me to kick her out so this time she can get the homeless youth allowance??? Not happening...but she is trying hard. Worse thing is 2 more girls to go!!! Yikes I hope they are easier, no experience with boys yet, but that might not be fun either!!!
-
Just stopping by quickly. Sounds like our babies have caught the whinges. Molly is the same here. All day I hear the whine. Molly is also starting to realise when I leave the room so she cries then too. I am tearing my hair out. The joys of motherhood I guess.
Mel - it sounds like Ash is doing well with his food. I have been trying Molly too but she is not interested so I will leave it a few more weeks.
Nat - sorry its late but Happy Birthday. Wow crawling and nearly standing. Molly has only just mastered the roll. I hope you settled well in your new place.
Sue - I sympathise about the whinging. Sounds like my house at the moment.
Lauren - good luck with your packing. I don't envy you that job.
Pam - I am sorry to hear your daughter is giving you greif. Hopefully things will settle down for you soon.
Sorry that my post is so breif but the moo-girl is calling :)
-
Aaaaggghhh, so good to hear that it's not just my little flossy that whinging. I am so bloody tired, last night she was sleeping but just whinged even in her sleep. She was so overtired today that I had to resort to going on 2 long drives to let her have a good sleep - never mind that I look like death warmed up. I have been  that tonight goes better. Bella is still being swaddled and I think that she is just getting the shiats with it. Tonight I have gotten her to sleep and have her half on her tummy with one hand right above her head JIC she ends up flat on her tum - she's right next to me anyhows so she'll be right.
MM - I have been saying that she's teething for months now but I am sure this is the real thing cause surely it cant get any worse LOL... BAS, my business activity statement to lodge our companies GST and personal taxes... ever since Bella was born I have completey and utterly let it all go and DF gets shirty cause we get a fine over it and he seems to think that I sit on my butt all day and do nothing
Lauren - wowzers, that was quick, just up and move hey.. Well I'm in brissie, not sure if you have already mentioned it, but where abouts in brissie are you heading? We are having heaps of fun with solids too, it hasn't really stopped the reflux vomitting that much so it's really messy at times - LOL, we have some nice chunks floating around the pool somedays..
Pam - Bella had her first cold a couple of weeks ago, at least she slept well then LOL. I can really sympathise with your teenager probs. DF had asked me to pack my stuff and leave with my DS the other day because he cant handle it anymore - not that he deals with all of the phone calls from school . My DS15 has been diagnosed by a psychologist as having aspergers syndrome and even though he has some sort of reason for his behaviour, it just doesn't make it any easier. I am in desperate need of joining in the aspergers support group but I'm still coming to terms with everything myself - it will be the only way I will get any support.
Donna - hhhhmmmph, lets hope that this whinging phase doesn't last too long. For the absolute first time since having bella, I felt that I couldn't cope with her this past week. I think that I'd be ok if I had someone to hand her over to once in a while I might be ok.
Hi all, can't believe that I actually manage to get on and do some personals tonight, in between checking on Bella wondering why she isn't stirring every 20 minutes, here's to hoping that it's a good sign for me tonight.... xx
-
I do type fast and usually without looking so sometimes it looks like this
jo hotld yjod od ejT J[[rmd (hi girls this is what happens)
haha usually on here when Ash is feeding too.
I have decided to ignore that pump and wait until I receive the one Ali is lending me. It just stresses me out. I am ok pumping with the kids, I usually do it on the couch while they are playing so I can watch and pump all at once. Plus the one I have is battery operated so I can run around after them with a boob out haha
Ashton has a snotty nose. Feeding him has been a nightmare. I think I got the whole of an hour sleep last night.
-
just quickly cause I have to pump (haven't given it up yet!) but for Bumgenius users I found a good website that sells them cheap esp if you get 6 or more. Postage was super fast too! If you want the address PM me! If I refer you we both get a further discount.
I hope everyone is well.
I hope this message doesn't break any rules?
-
aaahhhhh bugger eej, I just bought 6 itti bittis right before I came back on here and I'm a huge fan of the bg's.
Ok, I'm off to get some shut eye, bella seems settled *fingers crossed* and I hope that everyone else gets some sleep too seeing that we are all a little on the sleep deprived side atm..
-
maybe you could post that on NC too ;) Lots of BG fans on there :)
-
