Hi Shell,
I have contacted the supplier and the PP web site. Both have said that it is a discontinued item.
Hmm meg did you email or ring??
One of my friends wa chasing up a toy no longer made and they tracked on down for her and sent it out for her, have you tried ebay?
HI guys, thanks for your thoughts. Things are fine, I think I get a lot of pregnancy hormones lately.
Meg-Goodluck for your Aunt tomorrow.
Well the kids are both in my bed and I am knackered, so I am off to join them.
Bea- How is everything going with you? I'll be in Adelaide next week! Been talking to my friend, Thurs prolly good day for us to meet up if you free? So are your parents back yet? Will be good for you to have them around.
Helen- Glad your feeling better.
Ash still has that prob with her right foot turning in. Dr referred us on but there like months wait! My Dr reakons anyway they prolly won't really do much but best to get checked out.
Also finally got my referal for hospital so I'm getting organised, got appt booked with Ob and one booked with ward for tour and booking in.
Thursday is great Shell!!!!!!!
umm where???
Hmm good question, I'll have to reask where I'm staying, I did look in google earth at one stage and was quite far from you, well it looked far on there so we'll work something out. I think its seacliff or something.
Shell - are there good shoes that you can get that will help correct Ash's foot, I just remember I was speaking to a mum at Gymbaroo who said her daughters foot turned in and she had to buy only 'good' shoes for her to wear, she was looking at Clarks.....
Exciting that you and Bea will get to catch up.
Also, that recipe book I was talking about arrived today (cauliflower conspiracy) so if I find some recipes that Rylee likes I will send them to you. She is still being a fuss pot at dinner times.
Okay, not much news here, two weeks until my parents get here......can't think of anything to tell - oh I have my 18-20 week scan on Friday - will be finding out the sex........any guesses/premonitions???????
Have a good night.
Laurin xxx
Meg - How did your aunt go hun? Hope all is well.
Laurin - Hmm.....I'm thinking girl - are you finding out?
laurin - I'm thinking a boy. Good luck for Friday!
Speaking of shoes, I was wondering what brands are 'good' and what aren't for kids. Anyone know?
Gotta run, carpet cleaners here to do my floors.
Jodi - I have just been buying Rylee, Clarks shoes as I know they are good, also there is a brand called Bobux (a NZ make) if you look at their website bobux dot com - these are also good, she had a pair of the I-Walk Mary Jane ones but they are too small now.
Laurin x
Laurin- I get as Clarks shoes too but still this prob has just been persisting, I thought it was improving but then recently a couple ppl pointed it out so we'll get it checked out, don't htink anything urgent. Yeah let me know how your book goes. Hope its not more cooking up wasted food!
Hmmm, my preminition automatically said girl but remember I am always wrong!
Jodi- Like Laurin said Clarks are meant to be great shoes, thats all my mum would let me buy! Plus Ash seems to have fat feet so they are good covering the width for her.
Laurin - I am putting my bet in as a girl.
My auntie has had her op. It all went well. She gets that results on Monday. So hopefully all will be good.
Not much else to report. Went to a play centre today with the gilrs from mothers group. I dunno. I really feel I don't fit in with them. Just that I don't really know anyone else where I live, so sorta keep in contact with them because of that.
I am going out for dinner tomorrow night. My MIL is going to look after J for me. I always get excited about a night out!
Hope everyone is well.
Meg- Thats great the Op went well, fingers crossed for good results on mon!
IKWYM bout mothers group too, I feel exact same with mine, they're nice enuff just I don't have much in common plus there is 5 of us and they've paired of and become close in there little pairs but no pair for me!
Laurin - Im thinking boy :)
Shell - where do you buy Clarks shoes from? Jett has fat feet too (so does Rip for that matter) so he lives in skate shoes that velcro closed so I can squish his feet into them. Kind of limits his shoe choices.
Hi to everyone else, hope your all doing ok!
We leave in 14 days. Im nowhere near ready *sigh* Jett has been really sick this past few days to the point where he slept with us all night. Ry's been on holidays but its rained so nothing got done to the outside of the house. Huge pain in the butt. Good news is, we got a house finally. Its a brand new 4 bedroom, 2 bath brick home with huge backyard and lovely decor. Its right near the beach too which is a bonus (Jodes, its at Bushland Beach which Im guessing you'd drive past to go to Townsville?) Cant wait to move in!
My birthday tomorrow and lucky me is spending it at the toy sales  Every woman's dream right? Atleast I get to go to Hogsbreath for lunch.
Anyone thinking of birthday parties yet? We have Jetts all planned, now just have to find some friends to invite lol
:happybirthday: ANNA!!! Have a wonderful day today.
Bushland Beach is a beautiful area. And yeah, we drive past it on the way to Townsville. I believe (I may be wrong though) that Rikki's family live at Bushland Beach. It's either there, or another beach which starts with a B.
We've started thinking of Nina's party. Have the caterer organised. It won't be full on catering, just someone who knows what they're doing to organise all the food and drinks. We're buying a trampoline for Nina. Just have to work out what sort of theme to do for her. AND, I'm going to attempt a cake. I'll have to practice beforehand, as I suck at baking cakes. I even ruin packet mix ones!
Where are you having Jetts, at your place? We'll come (if we're invited ;))
meg - glad to hear your aunt's op went ok. Fingers crossed she gets good news next week :goodluck:
Well my grandfather had another heart attack last night. Second one in 2 days. He has Prostate Cancer, and has been having mini strokes on and off for the past 6 months or so. We're not sure how advanced the cancer is, but we think my grandparents know, but are keeping it to themselves. They were planning on coming up here in November for my sister's 30th, but surprised us in May after I'd had Emily. They did that as he won't make it to November. It was so sad saying goodbye to them when they left. Nina absolutely adores him, and he adores her. The whole time they were here, she'd drag him outside to go play with her, calling him 'poppa'. Hopefully though he won't be in pain too much longer.
Yep we're having Jetts at the new house. Its a "In the Night Garden" theme, Im even going to get some cutouts done of the characters so they can "play" in the night garden! Ofcourse your invited! I would be honoured if you came and Im betting Nina and Jett would have a ball together! We might be grey haired by the end though lol I am not baking the birthday cake, I only just marginally make normal cakes edible so Im going to buy a mudcake or something nice probably and use the ITNG cake topper I bought off Ebay.
Sorry to hear about your grandpa :(
Yeah Im up early on my birthday. Stupid dog wont stop barking and I needed to pee. Once Im up Im up :wall: Oh well means I shower in peace and quiet.
Oh Jodi  I'm sorry to hear about your grandfather. Keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers.
AnnaT - :happybirthday: Happy birthday hun!!! Don't get too stressed out at the toy sales ;) Good luck with the move - and good luck with your new little mission (lol you keep changing your sig!!! Hard to keep up! :p).
Laurin - What do you think you're having? We all seem to be half and half on it.
Re: Birthday parties. Well I think I told everyone awhile ago that we're having a teddy bear's picnic for Ambah's b'day. We've pretty much planned what's happening, will start working on it a bit more after Bre's b'day (the 28th of this month). And it seems like almost all the mother's at the party are going to be pregnant!!! SIL is due in September, a good friend of mine is due in October, one of the mum's from Kindermusik just told me she's due on Christmas day and I'm pretty sure one of the other mum's will be starting TTC soon enough!! Ok, well that's about half anyway. Hmm, I'll have to keep that in mind while I'm finishing up the menu.
Well, the countdown to Ambah's second b'day is on, and I think our breastfedding journey is coming to an end. My milk supply has severely dropped, but I don't think she's gonna give up without a fight  Guess what she's doing right now  (with her freezing cold hands on my belly!!!! GRRRRR!!!!) I'm kinda sad about it, but not too sad. I'm really happy we've made it this far, I just hope the transition is smooth.
Ok, better run - she's making this very difficult atm.
ETA - Oh and Meg, that's great news the surgery went well. I hope all the test results are good
Jodi- Thats awful, whats he like at the moment? Do they think he'll make it out of hospital? My Pa never used to let anyone in on his health conditions, think they just don't want to upset anyone. Hopefully they are looking after him well and providing adequate pain relief.
AnnaT- :happybirthday: Hope you have great day and get spoilt! (Buy yourself something at the toy sale!Lol) So are you all repacked after they delayed your move? Clarks shoes you can get from Myer and I think other shoe shops should have also.
mum3girls- It is sad when BF journey ends, you've done so fantastically getting this far. I cried when Ash gave up, there is that bit of grieving I think.
We haven't even thought of Ashleigh's party esp theme wise! We'll prolly just have BBQ again and thats it. I don't know if we'll do a theme til shes bit older, maybe 3rd or something.
I'm very excited cause bought Ash all these pumpkin patch stuff off there online store and it arrived! Got such good bargains cause I just bought all the sale stuff then I got a further 20% off that. Love there clothes just can't afford full price.
Jodi - I am so sorry to hear about your Grandfather, even though the circumstances are bad I hope he is comfortable and not in much pain - thinking of you and your family.
AnnaT - big Happy Birthday to you, hope you have a great day. Yay on getting a lovely house to live in, that is great, you sound really organised with Jett's birthday party. We havn't even thought about Rylee's yet.
Meg & Shell - these Mother's Groups are hit and miss aren't they whether mum's get along.....it is hard isn't it.
Shell, I bought Rylee some pumpkin patch clothes in the sale, I loooove their clothes tooo, but think at full price they are a rip off, but in the sales they are great.
Mum3Girls - you have done a fantastic job on breastfeeding Ambah, that is great, I am sure it is sad for you now it is coming to an end.
Meg - glad your Aunties' op went well, fingers crossed for the results on Monday.
I had my scan this morning, all is looking fine. It is a boy - I have to say as soon as I left the place I burst into tears - I feel like a real b*tch - I just thought I was having another girl and now I will have to pack away all of Rylee's pink clothes, etc, etc. This makes me sound horrible and I feel guilty for being upset, I just wanted another girl, what can I say, I am sorry if this offends anyone.......but I will move on, it will just take a few days for it to sink in.
Okay, sorry about my miserable post.
BBL,
Laurin xxxx
Laurin - Don't feel bad honey. Aaron didn't talk to me for a couple of days after we found out Ambah was a girl (we both thought she was going to be a boy, and he had really wanted a son). I was upset too as I had wanted to give him a son, but of course now we wouldn't change for the world. It's perfectly ok to wish for a specific gender - you won't love the baby any less. Congrats on your healthy blue bundle of joy though, I'm sure he will bring you and your family lots of years of joy.
laurin - don't feel bad for feeling that way. I too burst into tears when I found out Nina was a girl. I desperately wanted a boy. It didn't take long though for it to sink in, and for me to perk up again. If you want to, there is a private forum you can go on, on bellybelly for this.
Thanks for your kind words re my grandfather. They are trying to make him as comfortable as possible. Very unlikely that he will leave hospital, but we're not too sure. It's a shame that they live so far away, and being winter, it's freezing out their way. So not really a good time for me to go out there with the girls.
Jodi, maybe Nina can draw him a picture, or you can take a photo and send it to him? That kind of thing might let him know you're thinking of him.
Laurin, it sounds pretty common to be disappointed. Just ask any mum of boys though, boys are always mumma's boys. My little ones are massive snugglers, always come for hugs and kisses, and my dh is from a family of boys and they're pretty tight with each other. Plus, I always wanted a brother, now Rylee will have a bro to look out for her, that's pretty special.
I'm definitely NOT saying that you're feelings aren't valid, of course they are, just wanting to reassure you that boys are excellent and when you have your little guy you won't be able to imagine things any other way. :)
Speaking of little guys, Si's having a whinge.
Oh Laurin :( Dont worry about feeling the way you do, I remember having a little cry when we were told Rip was a boy. But I love him anyway, he is such a lovey and totally attached to me. Have to ditto Nelle though, boys are Mama's boys to the max! You could ask to join the forum specifically for this issue if you want to vent about it to people who understand.
So $300 later the boys have just about all their pressies for christmas and birthdays. Got some cool stuff Ry is dying to play with. I got myself some nice summery clothes for my birthday and I think Ry is getting me some cool sunnies. All in all an ok day but Im knackered from getting up early so its time for a nap methinks.
Laurin- hun i can so understand how you are feeling.. Please dont feel guilty about it.
Well I am happy went to the sales this morning cause i didnt want to deal with them yest, and got what i wanted. Big W let me layby the Wii pack even though they are out of stock and I got Annika baby alive for her birthday, The girls both mio pups for xmas and Mj some cubby house thing for xmas.
Mag- glad her op went well, hoping for a speading recovery.
Jodi- sorry to her about your pops hun
Hi Everybody,
Beatrix - Well done for braving the toy sales! I went in and pretty much went out again. There really wasnt anything i wanted badly enough to line up for.
Laurin- I totally understand. I was soo relieved when we found out Tiana was a girl. This will sound ridiculous to everyone but I am petrified of having a boy. I just don't think I would know what to do. I am one of four girls and didnt grow up with any boys around. It actually has stopped me from more actively trying for a second. I am a bit embarrassed about it. Ok what I mean is don't feel bad, there are many of us who want a particular sex - but it dosent mean we love our babies any less.
AnnaT- Good luck with the move.
Jodi - Emily is beautiful, so dainty and pretty!!!
Well not much happening here. Just working and TIana has another ear infection. One more and we must see the ENT specialist.
Hope everybody else is well!
Manie- i didnt brave anything!! no one was there!! couldnt believe it, when i line up for layby there were only 2 people in front of me!!
Are you serious? I looked at the line and walked back out again. No way would Tiana sit in her pram for that long - even with Tiny Teddies!
MJ is looking very cute! Do all your girls look similar or are htey all different?
Yeah i was suprised I bet yesterday was really busy, but being second day of the sales and first thing in the morning
Umm they all look very similar as babies!!
hmm interesting outfit your little one has on!!
Does anyone else have a nuddest??? Annika takes off all her clothes, she even did it at day care today. When they checked on her at nap time they found her starkers!!! and she did it all in 5min cause they ahve to check the babies every 5min
She likes to dress up, preferably in our clothes - daddy's undies and my bras are her favourite!!
I know what you mean about the nudist child, she is more happy with no clothes on. I spend half an hour after baths and change time trying to get clothes on and if she is in something that is easy enough for her to get off she strips!!
nelle - that's a great idea. I'll get Nina to do a picture for him. Plus it'll keep her entertained for a while.
marnikat - thanks for that. Emily is a very dainty isn't she. People can always tell she's a girl, even if she's wearing blue!
beatrix/anna - great score at big w!! I too went today and layby'ed a few things for the girls. It's so hard to get something for Emily, because we already have everything. The girls are going to be a little spoilt at xmas, but that's ok, it didn't cost too much.
Nina loves nudie time. But she doesn't take her clothes off herself. And Nina loves my bras too. Weird huh.
laurin honey - i am so sorry that there were no pink bits in sight for you :( we totally know were you are coming from...as AnnaT said there is a thread you can join and you dont have to feel guilty about it there either.
Ah you girls sound like yourve all gotten heaps of bargins...im of to go tonight with a list that is as long as my arm. I have to buy for 4 and 2 birthdays now in Jan...god help me
Jodi - hope you got your mail to hon ;) and I hope that your grandfather is alright..give him a big hug from all us here.
Has anyone else got a kid obsessed with the night gardern show? Vy watches the DVD's flat out and I jsut got her a little upsie daisy and books from the UK
oh wait...Vy is at the toilet door bbl
Maz where did you buy the night garden dvd's from? would love to get one for the girls.
A big woot from me is i sold my cot on ebay for $500!! That means good mattress's for the girls beds instead of foam. i am very happy bout that!!
Laurin im real sorry honey,i felt ruby was a boy but she was a girl!! I felt down for a while but i wouldnt change her for the world the cheeky minx.
Jodi sorry about your grandfather:hug:
BBL millana being naughty...
caddie - a copy or 2 will come your way then babe ;). WOO HOO on the cot selling for what it did...ah I have to sell some of Mateauz stuff on there...he has out grown so many of his clothes its not funny but he's an eating monster now
Maz - Jetts favourite show ever is The night garden! Which is why his birthday is a night garden theme. Makka Pakka is his fave character. I got him a Iggle, Daisy and Makka stuffed toys off Ebay for his birthday and Im getting him the DVDs and a Ninky nonk train for christmas. All his party stuff I got off there too, great bargains considering you cant get the stuff here.
Anywho Im off to see a new bub today. A friend here had her 3rd on wednesday night. Poor thing is struggling because they were told it was a girl after 2 boys and then he was born a he :( Everyone else is away so Im the only friend left to cheer her up. Cant wait for baby snuggles, been awhile since Ive snuggled one. Going to make me cluck like a chicken I tell ya!
Yeah Nina is a huge fan of that stupid show too. She loves her dvd's. If she's being a PITA, I'll put the dvd's on, keeps her quiet for a while! Nina's fav character is makka pakka. She walks around the house saying makka all the time.
anna - congrats to your friend. Hope you can cheer her up.
Just thought i let you know i have branched out in beenie making! So look out in the next few weeks for some in different colours, fabrics and sizes!!!
Congratulations on finding out you are having a little boy Laurin. It will take you a while for it to sink in, but once it has, you will love your new little man to bits. I adore my little boy, although I desperately wanted a girl when I had him, I wouldn't give him up for all the girls in the world!
Annat - How long is it going to take to get to the new place? it will feel HOT after being where you are! It was 0 here last night.
Maz - Nice to see you pop in! :)
Caddie - Look forward to seeing your new creations.
Jodi - I hope Nina did a lovely picture for your grandfather. He will have nice memories of your little girls.
Hi Marni!
Bea - No nudist here! Only really takes off shoes and socks. His feet are always like 2 little ice blocks!
Shell - nice score on the Pumpkin Patch gear. I tend not to buy clothes for J. My mum works at Target, and is always buying J clothes (and toys for that matter!)
I went to the sale and got J a Playskool Dusty the talking vacuum. I gave it to him already though. His cousin come over on a Friday, and they are always bickering over a push along lawn mower, so I thought that I would buy another push/pull toy. They will prob fight over the same one still.
We are not really having a huge 2nd birthday. Just family. So there will be about maybe 15 people all up. we are just going to go down to the local park for birthday cake and arvo tea.
We've got 6 days to travel Meg so we should arrive up there on the 25th July. I cannot wait for hot weather lol Ive got all my summer clothes ready.
My friend is doing fine, she was a bit disappointed at first but they are trying for one more and then thats it. He is such a cutie pie and has a full head of hair! He's in SCU at the moment because she had GD and he also isnt feeding, just keeps vomitting. Has a tube to feed but is doing great and should be out sometime next week. I am definately clucking now
Wow, I'm not used to so much chatter in here!
Laurin- Congrats on the boy, don't feel bad I think most ppl at some stage are hoping for one sex or the other. I always wanted a girl and was glad when I got Ash. Before long it'll sink in and you'll be so happy with him.
AnnaT- Hope that little bubba gets out of SCN soon be bit of a worry that he's not keeping anything down. Lol at you clucking, not long til you go for #3!
Meg- Is that those new ones that have been on TV recent, was thinking maybe get Ash one, so hard to decide what to buy, I should check out sales at some stage and see whats actually left for us.
Caddie- Yep we'll be looking out for those! and yay on selling the cot, thats great when something sells for a good price you just never know with e-bay and whos looking at that certain time.
Jodi- Anymore news on your Grandpa?
Maz- Yeah another night garden watcher here, I myself don't get what kids love about it but Ash gets mesmorised by it sometimes!
Bea- Ash likes to be nudist when in bed only it seems, I go check on her and theres all her clothes everywhere, thankfully shes only gotten the nappy off once.
Well I went for girls night out last night, pizza and drinks (non alcoholic for me) and played singstar! Was all great fun til got home went to bed and hour and half later woke up and was so sick, I just was continually vomiting all night! Don't think it was m/s cause of the way it was. I'm wondering if pizza had bad reaction to me or something.
Would have been the pizza shell! I thought pizza was a no-no in pregnancy.Due to pizza toppings sitting out on the bench! Hope you feel better today, and yes i look forward to your little munchkin wearing something i created!
Laurin how you feeling today?
Annat good luck on the move mate! hope it goes smoothly.Hope your friend feels happier next time you see her.
Um not much here,i made ruby a skirt that matches millana's today they wore them out and looked like twins. All the old ladies would smile when they saw them walking hand in hand. Two peas in a pod.
Just made the divinist diiner, chow mein!!! Can wait to devour it.:cryinglaugh:
