Ness that must have been horrid... you poor thing, yuo are so lucky that you or the girls were not hurt..
we dont have any dummies or bottles here, but we have to lie with him until he falls asleep, normally about 10 mins... sometimes i think a dummy or bottle would be easier!
-
OMG Ness how scary! Im glad your all ok but Im sure your still in a state over it, poor thing
Jett doesnt have anything. He goes to bed with a blankie and thats it. Im mean  Ripley still has a dummy because my rule is teething=dummy but I wont let him have it til he's 8 when he FINALLY cuts more than 4 teeth so Im thinking once we are settled in Sydney Im going to filch it off him and toss them.
I will prob change my mind on that though once Ive had to listen to his wailing for hours ;)

Hey Girls,
Yes we are back from NZ, havn't had much time to read over previous posts...
Ness - how frightening for you, hugs to you.
AnnaT - good luck for your move to Sydney - have I got that right ??? - I feel like I have missed out on alot since being away.
Caddie - has Ruby's sleep improved since you took away the bottle?
Are there any photos of the Melb meet up?
It was hectic in NZ but my Dad is on the mend so that is great. Hard work travelling with the two, a few dramas but havn't got time to type them.
Okay, better go, someone has woken up. We are still having lots of night time wakings...fun
Laurin x

Hey Laurin- Thats great news bout your dad, he was quite unwell wasn't he. Is he home? Taking it easy, bet he loved having you and the kids there. Hope sleeping sorts itself out, hard isn't it being awoken all night then rushing around all day. Some of the girls put the melb meet-up photos on facebook.
AnnaT- How is the packing and sorting going for Sydney? You set up a place to stay there? How are the kids? Do they understand whats going on or sense anything?
Ness- OMG how bloody scary! I get so sick of these ****in idiots on the road, makes it so much scarier to with kids in the car, thank god no one was hurt. Can understand why you would be shaken up.
Ash still has a bottle prior to going to bed and TBH I couldn't care, I figure one bottle not going to harm, she doesn't take it in to bed or anything.
Emily is hooked to her dummy, thats where our prob is, way too dependant on it.
Emily has to have u/s on her hip, we were at the mchn last friday and apparantly the creases on her legs don't match up which can indicate a problem with her hips, I also found her right leg to be little longer. Went to GP today who couldn't detect any dislocation or anything, thankfully but she did find the left hip tighter to move and the definately not even so sent for an u/s. Hopefully nothing major.

I only have to pack personal items ie clothing so its almost done already. Just have to pack suitcases and keep out the couple of outfits we'll be wearing for this last week up here (big difference in temps so Im going to have to chuck the dirty clothes from day before leaving in a box; no way are we wearing shorts and tshirts down there lol) Had to do a big clothes shop because only have a few winter peices that are the right size for Ripley and River, Jett had nothing to wear. Dont have a house yet BUT my sister has a new place so we'll be staying with her til I find something so I can save money (and help her out with her bub due July 15th) so thats a load off my mind, I was so worried about where I would stay in the meantime.
The boys are good; Im pretty sure Jett kind of understands whats happening. Ive just told him that we are going on a plane (which is a big WOOHOO for him!) to Sydney and we'll be staying with Aunty Keri for awhile until we find ourselves a nice house - and that Daddy will be staying here until the Army gives him a house at the end of July so theyll have TWO houses; living with Mummy and sleeping over with Daddy. He's cool with it right now but we'll see what happens when its crunch time for visitation. He's been real clingy with me and telling Ryan 'NO I want mummy to do it' for just about everything which has po'ed him a bit but like I explained, at this age they are all about the mummy so he's only concerned that *I* could be leaving. Eventually theyll start the 'Wheres daddy I want daddy' bit once it sinks in a bit. Ripley is a bit suss somethings happening but to little to understand and River could care less obviously; the boobies are his one and only concern and they are with me

Anna - How are you going? It will be hard on the boys in the beginning, but I am sure that they will ajust in time.
OMG - I am jsut watching baby story on Foxtel, now I am in tears!
Has anyone gone to the toy sales/ I have bought J a kiddy digi camera, as he is always trying to use ours. Otherwise, I jsut got a few little things of my nephew and neice, and a few little things for the kids for Chrissy.
-
No toy sales for us, I can't think that far ahead, lol, usually wait til closer to birthdays/ xmas to see what the kids are into at that time.
AnnaT- Have you headed off to Sydney yet? Hope all is going ok.
Took Ash to Dorothy Dino show this morn, waste money, she didn't want to dance just sit there not impressed. Oh well. She been funny lately but we all been sick too so who knows, its all so tiring.
-
I dont do toy sales either.. Our shopping centre is far too crowded. I dont want to wait 3hrs in a layby cue.:D
School holidays here so keeping the kiddies entertained with friends over and vice versa!!
Millana's attitude is driving me bonkers so the more she is kept amused the better.
-
I don't do toy sales either. I've had Nina's birthday present since boxing day, and I have hers and Emily's Christmas presents already too :D
anna - good luck with the move this week.
caddie - I hear ya on the attitude, I'm soooo sick of it!
bummer about the Dorothy show shel, does she usually like Dorothy? Nina loved the Hi-5 show and the Dorothy show, but wasn't too impressed on The Wiggles show.
Not much happening with us at the moment. We're renovating at the moment, so the house looks like a bomb has hit it. All the toys have had to be packed away as that lounge room is being tiled tomorrow. And I have no idea where most of our clothes are as I've had to pack them away!
-
Has everyone heard the news? ChrissyT welcomed her little man into the world this morning
-
Yeah I heard Sharle! Koby Heath, that's cool.
Bought Riv some Grug books today, Rans got all reminiscent and wanted to get some. Hopefully he likes them. We bought him a train set from Aldi the other week - OBSESSED.
How you doing Maz?
Bummer on the concert Shell? I suppose this young it's always a gamble as to whether they'll like something, depending on their mood.
Jodi, you must be so looking forward to when your renos are done! Will you have much more space?
Ohh Caddie, I hope this month is your month.
Meg, I toyed with the idea of getting Riv the digital camera, he might be ready for it by Christmas, or I might wait another year. He loves our camera too, but he loves being in front of it!! He's such a poser.
Hope the move's going well Annat.
-
It's just putting in new tiles, new kitchen bench tops and painting. We don't need more room, this house is quite big already. It just needed a little updating/modernising.
How are your building plans going?
-
I fly into sydney today, wont have net til I get off my butt and buy wireless broadband which I should do by tomorrow.
Flight gets in at 3:45.
Wouldnt you know it, my sister is in labour  I knew this would happen. Her waters have broken and she's 10min apart right now, scared ****less and wishing I was there/will make it for the birth - bet I wont naughty little baby being cheeky!
So exciting day all round!
See ya on the flip side!
-
Oh wow anna!! i hope you get there in time! That always happens doesnt it. Murphy's Law. Goodluck!
-
how exciting Anna! Good luck to your sis, can't wait to hear all the details.
-
AnnaT- Wow, so what did your sister have? How exciting! Hope the trip down there went well.
Nelle- I remember Grug! My fave was the one where he was following the rainbow then made his own, lol, I'd forgotten all bout him.
Congrats to ChrissyT, woohoo.
Ash finally seems better from her cold, now just for me and Emily to improve, Emily sounds awful when she coughs.
-
Glad your all on the mend shell. That cough tends to linger.. Millana seems to be the one that always gets the coughy cough flu's.
School Hols here so busy keeping kids happy and entertained! As u do:lol:
Mathilda's markets next weekend (i think lol) so in between the kids been busy doing last min preps.
On the TWW to see if UTD. I dont think i am to be honest. Not many symptoms and i think when your trying you tend to read into things
Mmm waiting for annat! Im sure she is fine and just excited tobe with her sis!

Sorry been super busy trying to tire the boys out everyday and house hunting. Looks like itll be an apartment for us not in our suburb of choice :(
My sister had a little boy on tuesday at 9:47am, 7lb 50cm long. She called him Wyatt. He's a cutie (looks just like his dad, bit awkward) with lots of spiky dark hair. Will upload a pic to my facebook tonight.
Anywho better go, I want to get an ice cream (we're at Maccas) before I take the boys back to my sisters to see visitors.
GL Cads!
