Shell - hope you get some sleep soon - I think one formula feed at the 10pm feed sounds good and fine, it helped Tara sleep well.

Well that was a monster post belle!
Chrissy, u may be ok. Usually the nurses get cabby because some people doinging aged care is an easy way to get a job and its not. Its tough. So perhaps she was just psyching u all out for mental toughness.lol Oh this bag i have for you is the same style as u hve but its knitted in browns and reds and greens. Its cool!!
Jodi get well soon, i have a cold too.. Sore throat and runny nose..
Ambz! number 3! Join the club..
Mum was not too impressed.. she laughed but said i am too bust with m life as it is. Why have another. I just said why did u.lol
-
 Nice comeback Caddie - funny when parents try to talk us out of things they did themselves.
-
caddie..looking at your ticker..its time to crack that whip on arron ;) and that bag sounds so cool..make sure youtell me what i owe you
im very undesided on the job if i get it, very odd hours, and it will be hard being a single parent and juggling who is looking after the kidsetc..if it was mon-fri 10-2 that would be perfect..but rotating rosters..are going to be hard..anyway lots of thinking to do
-
Chrissy - man I havent been to a job interview in yonks so I am going to be pooping my pants when its time for me to find a job (which if ex has his way would be as soon as River is 3 grrr). Have you thought about doing your EN quals at TAFE part time? That way your a qualified EN after 12-18mths study and could work casual shifts for a bit of extra $$$. Its my plan for the next few years til I can make it to Uni.
Hi to everyone! Things are busy here and I am in stressville big time. I need to decide when to leave up here, Im terrified of not finding a house AND I need to find somewhere to stay while I find a house *sigh* I can see my saved $$$ disappearing right quick.
-
 Anna, fingers crossed you find a house really quickly. Any prospects yet?
Nelle - Oh god stats, already come across them, part of our assessment for the coming term, but not actually part of the subject we're studying - yay!!! And Term 1 next year the subject is pretty much all stats, with an exam probably in the week before the Gold Coast trip - so I may be a bit brain-dead by then  Um, our plans for our anniversary - dinner and a movie and hopefully a sleep-in the next day, and I'm thinking about going to a restaurant down by the beach for breakfast as well :D Should be really nice.
The funeral was really sad, but filled with lots of happy memories of a very cheeky little boy who was adored by so many. Miss A's worn out, so I'm getting some chill out time before doing the school run :)
-
The funeral sounds lovely Shar.
How exciting about your course! Good luck with it. You'll be ready to unwind and have a few drinks at our next meet up by the sounds of it :D
Good luck with the Anna. I can't imagine it would be an easy thing for you. How are the boys going, do they know that anything is going on yet? Or are they just excited to see heaps of boxes, and think it's for them to play in!
My test results came back positive today  Kinda sucks, cause I'm suppose to be in quarantine away from Heath and the girls until next Wednesday. That's kinda impossible. And everyone that has been in contact with me is suppose to be in quarantine as well. Good news is I'm slowly getting over it, but I think Heath is getting it. Vicious circle!
ETA: can you say nothing about it on Facebook please. I don't want people who haven't even seen me this week to panic that I've got it. Thanks!
-
Hi Jodi, im so sorry to hear your results came back positive. Did they give you antibiotics? Do you think it maybe have been when we were in Melb? Do you think Chrissy, Maz, Me and Caddie should be in quarantine too? I hope you feel better soon, it must be hard staying away from the girls and Health.
-
Jodi - i hope that you are feeling better.. Do the girls need to start anti viral medication? do you need to notify day care etc.. must be very stressful for you
-
You can only start the antibiotics within 48 hours of symptoms starting. Emily has tested negative, Nina is fine, and Heath is starting to get the symptoms. He's getting tested tomorrow. We have to wait for the 'official' notification from Qld Health which should be on Monday before we tell daycare etc, so in the meantime we have to be in quarantine.
belle - It's unlikely I got it from Melbourne as that was 2 weeks ago. But if you do get flu like symptoms, just like anyone else, just let your dr know. It's most likely I got it while out on Saturday night for my SIL's hens night.
-
Oh-ney Ear-day Odi-Jay! :p Orry-say Ou-yah ave-hay o-tay e-bay in-nay arantine-quay.
Just trying to speak on her level. :p
Wishing you luck with all the logistics Annat.
Riv is hitting his super sooky-la mode...man I miss those midday naps.
-
Yeah that was what I was thinking Jodi, fingers crossed that Health comes back negative too, good to hear Emily and Nina are in the clear. Hope you can get some rest and feel better soon xxx
Goodluck AnnaT with moving to Sydney.
-
bugger jodi..thats a bummer, i had a few flu like symptons last week, and i was your room mate..i never bothered going to the doctors...
annat, i am actaully doing my certificate 3 in aged care at home now, and what people in the profession is the same as an AIN, just a different name.
-
Jodi- Don't stress too much, I think its all too much a panic thing by the media but I reakon its just like having flu. Don't think I'd even bother getting tested if I got sick. Don't know about other states but here they seem to have stepped things down, I think everyone should just act like with normal flus, wash hands properly that sort of thing.
Shar- Glad it was a good way to remember him, how did the girls go with it?
AnnaT- Any friends or family you can crash with? Just for a week or 2 til you get on your feet?
Chrissy- Good luck with job (if you want it), once you finish yr certificate might be easier to get a job that suits what hours you want, usually aged care places are desperate for staff so hopefully you can get something that'll suit you.
Nelle- Lol, I've actually been talking this week to Df about wedding, I said when Emily turns 3 so i can have 2 gorgeous flower girls!
Thankfully we actually had good night last night, I bloody hope its not a one off, like they normally are! Ash is moving up to the kindy class at gymbaroo next term, they think she is ready, once you get to that class the mums get to sit down (woohoo) and its more structured, they follow things rather than just free play with mum.
-
Aw thats sucks Jodi!
Shell, nope unfortunately not. I can now see why some women just dont leave; you decide to make the right and mature decision but its like rolling a boulder up hill. Im getting mighty sick of everyone 'poor ryan'-ing. Poor him my butt. He's out having a ball tonight while I have macaroni strewn from wall to wall and two toddlers who are refusing to behave.
-
I'm not panicking shell. It's certainly the worst flu I've ever had, but I do realise I'm not going to die from it.
anna - Is Ryan moving to Sydney as well, or staying up here?
Nina's is chucking a major wobbly in the bath ATM. Heath's in there with her. No idea what's happening, and right now, I don't care. I'm sure I'll here about it in about 2 minutes time
-
He's moving to Sydney, the Army found him a posting at the Commando Unit down there so he'll head down around the 28th July, theyll put him up in a hotel til he can move into a house.
-
f'curry he's got the life hasnt he Anna.....bloody nora
Im over Jed yelling already but then the kids have been pinging off the walls.....
Jodi hope your feeling better woman..was going to call you today but thought you might need the rest more then hearing my voice ROFL
Belle - when do you start playgroup babe? Ive gotta ring and get Vy in for next year and im going to put Mateauz into occasional care for the same day so mama can finally have some ME time (what the hell is that ROFL)
