Hi ladies, just popping in quickly to send hugs to all who need them. I am planning on taking a time out from posting for a couple of days as things are just everywhere at the moment. I have Eithan's 6week check on Tue so will be finding out if there is anyway to stop the vomiting. Other than that he us perfect, but I think I am just feeling out of sorts about it. Thanks for your thoughts. Hopefully I will get to read about you all, but probably not joining on fir now.. Love you all.
Belle-Special thoughts for you, I hope that your gastro calms down and you dont have to go to hospital, thinking of you,

Hi all,
*Belle*- Hope you are starting to feel better, after just getting out of hospital this is the last thing you need.
What I want to know is how long these "baby blues" last for. I cannot stop sobbing! It's terrible, everything sets me off good or bad. I just can't stop feeling so overwhelmed and its starting to make me feel sick to my stomach just stressing myself out so much. I keep asking myself am i doing the right thing. It just still seems so surreal that just the other day i had this baby in my tummy and now I have this real life human being totally dependant on me!
shellbell my baby blues lasted about 2 weeks. It was awful. I eventually went to my dr after a girlfriend noticed and was worried about me. After talking to my girlfriend and my dr I felt great, just being able to talk about how I feel and know that this is completely normal!! I also started to do 'normal things', like going out for lunch with someone, or going shopping. I found that was a great help.
They say the baby blues start from around day 3, so don't worry too much. If you can, leave bub with someone, even for an hour, and have some time for yourself. You'll feel great afterwards
Belle, maxalon is an anti-emetic.Stops u from throwing up! Great for hangovers...
Good morning chickens. Hope everyone woke feeling great to some extent!
Jodi - Nina is a vision mate. She's beautiful. It seems we're lucky to have friends like ours to help us on our bad days. Thank god we all found each other here. Im so glad that Nina's nappy rash has cleared up.
Nat - I think I always worry about telling people my problems, I hate downloading. I always think there's someone else worse of than me. My girlfriend said its my 'mask'. Thanks for helping me work through the whole bf issue I had mate. You really helped me heaps. Big kisses for ya!
Caddie - dont feel bad about the whole bf thingo. I feel so relieved now and the kids are so much happier. Wilhelm no longer blocks his ears when Vyolett cries now. I will try to call you some time this weekend, hopefully tomorrow. RE Ruby's present - I still have to paint it so it will be a little late, Im sorry. Oh I love the pic on your new ticker. I could just eat her up!
Belle - big hugs for you honey. Maxalon stops you from throwing up and feeling sick. I took it through nearly my whole pg. Wilhelm just spewed all over me while he was sitting on the the loo doing 'spewy poo' as he calls it. Jed's cleaning the whole toilet (have to love him today). I just hope I dont get it now. Don't stress about the call yet - just concentrate on getting happy and making sure you get better. Im not going anywere.
Shell - Oh babe put Ashleigh in the pram and go for a walk mate. I did it with NIkoalus (bit harder with 3) and it made the world of difference. I agree with Jodi too, talk to someone get it out. We're all here and if you need pm message me and I'll give you my phone number to chat or if you want or give me yours. Just get it out babe.
Helen - take your time to get things better, we're always here for you hon. I can understand fully. At the moment I feel like this is my life line (lol). Good luck with Eithans check up on tuesday. I'll be thinking of you
I went to the doctors last night and had a good chat with him. He was so caring and understanding. Gave me a script for my bb's to help get rid of the rest of the milk and told me Ive got mastitus (sp???). I also weighed myself while I was there and im only 107kg now. I weighed 126kg before I fell pg. My doctor is so happy with me. I also got a script for the pill cause Im not having ANY MORE BABIES! He put me on one that doesnt make you put weight on but it cost $15 a month. Small price to pay in my eyes. Ive got my SIL coming up with her son from Melbourne today. I told her about Wilhelm but she still wants to come up. I just hope they dont go home with the gastro. I so cant wait to see her.
My money from centerlink still hasn't come in but it can take up to 4 weeks they told me. Pitty if I needed things for Vyolett.
I suppose I better go and have a shower seeing I smell of spew and all.
Try and have a fantastic day girls
Love to you all
xxmaz
Snap caddie
hey girls,
still here for now.
keep my seat warm for me. ill be back in a few days time hopefully.
Love ya all
Adele
Hi all,
I'm feeling a little better today, thanks for all your support. I think I get worse towards the end of the day with the tiredness. Been chatting to my mum and sister, they've been very reassurring.
Maz- Thats fantastic about the weight loss. You must be feeling really good about yourself right now. Glad to hear things are going well and you've sorted out the feeding.
I have to say Df has been quite good, I think he feels quite useless at times seeing as the day mainly consists of feeds but he been giving her lots of cuddles and looking after me, doing all the housework and cooking. We were lucky cause he is a school teacher and just started school holidays when Ashleigh arrived.
HI All
Well i can finally join this group.. i will have to read over the last couple of pages in order to see where everyone is at as far as bubs settling etc..
Alexander is 1 week old today and we are settling in like a dream... breastfeeding is a wonderful experience for me this time.. i had a great lactation consultant in hospital !
He is getting his days and night mixed up.. he will feed 4-5 hours during the day but 2-3 hours at night.. so i am going to try and feed him more during the day and hope that he will sleep more at night..
anyway a huge congratulations to everyone and i hope that you are all settling in well with your babies
xoxo Anna
Has anybody spoken to Belle? Hope you're feeling better, hun. make sure you keep your fluids up, especially in this heat.
Ooooooh I just noticed Julia - she's so cute!!
LOL... I just realised that both Anna's here have called their sons' Alexander!!! As if it wasn't confusing before. hehe
I thought that too anna but just thought i was going nuts! How funny is that.
Well both my babies are asleep,i should have a rest but cant.Everything here is fine apart from now i just give ruby ebm and formula. No more booby. She just doesnt want it.Not even a dummy at times. She gags.
She definatley has her days and nights mixed up but i have read they cant really no the difference until 3 months. She sleeps in in the mornings but my oldest wont let me! This morning it was 530am.Not even a drink resetlled her.Grrrr.I cant win.
Well im waiting for hubby to come home so we can do a food shop. Its a pain that he has been coming home late from work and work saturdays. Then he comes home and has to clean his equipment and such.I hate that he isnt here to help me at times and if he does i feel bad as he is working hard.I wish we won lotto!
Hi girls
Well after 24hrs of being sick throwing up twice etc I went to the GP today and got the Maxalon thank god, havent needed it yet, oh and she looked at my c/s scar which is infected and went oh god... Im like gee thanks I know its bad, thats why im on antibiotics...sigh. Julia hasn't settled all morning, not sure why tried everything, now thankfully after the GP visit she has settled. She has goo in her eyes, the GP took a swap, hopefully ok..and she has only put on abotu 30g since leaving hospital but will go and get her weighed next week. I have a lactaction consultant coming to see me on Tuesday so hopefully will give me more confidence in breastfeeding.
Hello to everyone Im so sorry for no personals im absolutely knackered I am thinking of you all...

hi girls
just popping in with a quick "hi"
I know what you all mean about day and night confusion! Nina didn't settle at night until around week 2/3. Sleeping through the day and awake at night. Now she knows that night time is for sleeping, and only wakes twice for a feed during the night.
She's becoming so more observant (sp??) and alert, and is becoming a real fatty too. Which is great to see, means the mummy milk is doing her good.
Hope everyone has had a good day, I'm going to go and soak in the bath for a while
Oh Belle!! You poor thing. I have only just got your PM and will respond to it after this. Did they say how long the antibiotics will take to work. And dont worry about the confidence with your BF - its completely normal to feel out of your depth with a new baby. I'm sure you're doing everything perfectly.
Hello Chrissy - How are you going? Hows Caitlyn? Was is easier for you this time. I think my labours are getting harder the more I have, lol.
Caddy, Zain gags too on the dummy sometimes. I hear you on winning lotto!! DH has been working from 10am until about 9:30 lately so I'm doing everything on my own too. By the time he gets home the kids are bathed and in bed ( except Zain who waits up to see his Daddy;) ) the house is tidy - again- and his dinner is ready. He works hard though, but sometimes I think lotto would be lovely.
Little P , thats fantastic that things are going so well for you! Alexander is gorgeous!
Jodi lee, hope you had a lovely bath. I think I'll have one tonight too. The only problem is if I do it when the kids are awake I either have an audience or a thousand interruptions. If I wait until they're in bed I fall asleep because I'm so tired, lol... Oh well, what can you do right?
Hope everyone is having a great weekend. We should be joined by the others very soon!
Hi all,
I didn't have too bad a night last night, Ashleigh has started spreading her feeds out to 3 hours or just over but is cheeky sometimes and will refuse any more milk then half hour after we're finished she'll cry for another 5 mins!
Does it matter that only one breast gets used per feed? Ashleigh usually feeds for half hour on one side then refuses any more. I check if its cause that breast is empty but am still able to express more so i know its cause shes had enough. So will not using the second breast cause any milk probs?
Otherwise things are going okay, she's settling quite well at the moment, haven't had to pace floors for long periods as yet! I'm sure that is to come though.
Well i did the pacing last night.Ruby would not settle just grizzly and crying. Was up to 330am then she eventually went to sleep and then millana woke up sick. She has spewed so much she is spewing bile and i have got hubby to take her to the hospital. She cant keep fluids down poor thing! Now im waiting to see what happens and for them to come home.Ruby crying again!!! I have to settle before milly comes home because she will want my attention!
shellbell I only every feed Nina from one side. Always have. The midwife said there were no problems doing that. I offer the other side, but she doesn't need it.
Oh caddie, hope you're doing alright!! Fingers crossed you have a better night tonight.
Caddie - Ruby and Julia seem to be in sync.. shes not settling well at all this morning I was in tears I cant settle her.. I dont understand.... how long after b/f should she take to be settled? have I dont something wrong? what is DH doing different to me? I dont know he said nothing really hes trying to settle her now but shes not settling... my gastro has come back :( waaahhh..
Thanks everyone for your kind wishes and thinking about me im sory for no more personals im no knackered and runnign to bathroom.
Back later

Belle, you are doing a great job! Take a deep breath.Sometimes it doesnt matter what we do they grizzle. They do this especially when you are at home for the first time.Ruby was fine until the 2 week mark and she started being a grizzle guts.Just think tommorow may be a better day for all of us.
Hi ladies....and beautiful September babies!!
Paige and I are settling in well....THANK GOD my mum is here with us....night 3 and day 4 were HELL as my milk came in, I was tired sore and swollen all over and I was doing things all wrong with Paige, but we came out the other side.
Paige is getting her routine sorted and last night we had feeds spread over 4 hours...I woke at 10am and had to check on her cos she was still sound asleep.
Today is different as the Midwife came to do her check right when Paige had finished her feed and was going off to sleep....grrrrrr, very annoying, just when you are getting the hang of things.
No personals as yet...but I hope everyone is doing well!!
belle, you're doing a great job. I know Nina can get wind pretty bad after a feed sometimes and we just can't settle her. Maybe she just wants cuddles. Also she can probably smell your milk so that maybe why you can't settle her?
Bel, you're buggered from the gastro and feeling stressed because you're ill and she may be picking up on that. My first daughter would only settle with Dh too. They said it may be his deep rumbling woice that was comforting for her, so don't feel bad, hun. I know it doesn't seem like it now but you will come out of the other side of this. I remember with Rayanne (dd), I just sat on the bed and cried with her because she just would not stop and I felt helpless. I thought OMG what have I done?? I couldn't forsee a time when I would be able to do something normal like make a cup of tea.
The gastro will be taking a lot out of you, hun. It will be much easier to cope when you feel better. Is your DH back at work yet? Make sure you're drinking enough because you're losing lots of fluids with the gastro AND trying to build a milk
supply. Has you're milk come in properly yet? I just pm'd you my numbers. Call me anytime, but just a warning that its pretty noisy here with 7 kids, lol.
Girls, Just got a SMS from Adele's Hubby!!!!
Congratulations Adele and Simon and Akira on the birth of a
beautiful little BOY CALLED RILEY
born at 2.37pm Adelaide time.

Nat, thanks so much for your words of support, I know how you feel I cant stop crying, I feel so sorry for her too she hasnt slept all day, she must be exausted but wont fall asleep, what is wrong? DH went out to get food for us and I called him and said will you be home soon cause I dont know what else to do..thankfully he came home she calmed down at least not crying long enough for me to take my antibiotics..but shes crying again non stop..we have tried everything, do we just let her cry herself to sleep??????? how many comfort feeds should I give her?
Jodi-lee you maybe right it could be my milk that she smells that isnt settling her..mmm maybe I should wear breast pads? my boobs dont really leak though..
Rikki - how you doing??? How is Ainsleigh? is she ok with the reflux now? havent seen you here for a while.. I hope all ok.
Charli - where are you mate? how is Ambah?
ChrissyT - Congratulations on Paige! a beautiful name and good to see you here. Im sorry I havent posted anywhere else I have been MIA due to all my issues, but am thinking of you. Does she fall asleep straight after feed? whats your secret???
Chrissy - WElcome mate!! so happy to see you and congratulations on your little girl what a beautiful name !!! How is everything going?
Caddie - big hugs to you..I agree the 2 weeks mark, I think that Julia has definately found her lungs. I send my mum pics of her from my camera mobile every day and she said shes grown.. hard to tell when you look at her every minute! I swore I wouldnt make her wear pink but lol she looks so cute in it.. see I still have a sense of humor even though im sad.. hows Ruby doing?
Helen P - thank you for all your support especially your phone call, I really appreciate it. I'm still going though up and downs, dont really get near the phone but next time your on MSN let me know hopefully I will be around. I will try mind you I dont really get much of a chance unless DH is settling her..he is supposed to go back to work Thursday I so want him to be here longer.. how am I going to do this all by myself. How is Eithan and his reflux? is he settling for you?
Shellbell - good to see you here too!!! How is gorgeous Ashleigh? Sounds like you are doing really well. I was told by lactaction consultant feeding just on one breast til its empty is fine, or if its not empty just express it after, then next feed start on the other breast.
Little P - Congrats on Alexander!! sooo cute!! and so happy to hear you are doing really well! look forward to hearing more news from you..
Anna** - hi mate sorry I have been really quiet as you can see im still sick as dog.. trying to muddle through everything, will call you soon mate. How is Xander???
MAZ - where are you MIA???? I hope you are ok.... Im thinking of you.
Man, that was the biggest post I have ever done!

:happyforyou: CONGRATS TO ADELE! :happyforyou:
ChrissyT- The midwife did the same thing to me today but luckily Ashleigh settled pretty quickly again with a cuddle.
*Belle*- Poor Belle, don't blame yourself, it must be so hard to learn everything with a newborn and being so sick at the same time, I'm having enough trouble getting the hang of this motherhood thing.
jodi_lee- Thanks for that, was just worried if i was doing something wrong.
caddie- I hope millana starts feeling better, be hard having a sick child and a newborn.
well Ashleigh has put on weight so thats all good there.
She **** all over me earlier, I couldn't believe it, was changing her and heard this big squelsh noise and it was litterally like a fountain out of her bum! All over me, all over the carpet, it really flew. Had to laugh. Its lucky that we already have the carpets booked in for steam clean tommorow. I just didn't know where to start to clean it up.
Yayyy! Congratulations Adele!!!!!
Oh Shell, that was hilarious!! Next time you hear that noise, hold her at arms length!!
Has anybody heard from Maz. I hope she's ok and is just having a really good weekend.
Bel hun, I really dont think theres any rules to comfort feeding, especially right at the beginning. If it settles her, let her do it as much as you can. Have you tried taking her outside? That always makes me feel more human.
shellbell, girls are horrors at doing that!! Nina always manages to do it to me in the middle of the night when I'm half asleep!
Congratulations Adele, Simon and Akira on the birth of Riley.
belle, maybe try changing positions with Julia, away from your breast and see if that helps. Does she like the car or pram? If she does, take her for a drive or put her in the pram and rock it for a while. Hope she calms down for you soon. She'll eventually get so worn out that she'll probably sleep for 6 hours straight!! (well here's hoping she does)
Congratulations Adele on the birth of Riley! This buddy group is growing fast... yay!
Belle - Was great chatting to you today! Don't worry hon, we are all in the same boat and just trying to cope the best we can.
PMSL Shell... Xander did that to me when he was about a week old! Nothing you can do but laugh. We now keep a spare flat terry nappy next to the change table which we use to cover up the dangerous end whilst we get the new nappy ready.
Hope Maz is ok too.
Big hello's to all of you girls. Luv yas all but typing with one hand makes personals soooooo slow!
I forgot to ask... when do babies eye colour change? Xander has the most awesome ink blue eyes right now, hope he gets to keep them!
What colour are your babies' eyes atm?
Nina has dark blue eyes, they're just gorgeous.
I think around 6 months they start to change. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
Morning girls,
Thankfully late last night our little girl fell asleep from tiredness we ended up leaving her in her cot to settle nothing else worked. Thank god she got 5hrs sleep... and we have had 2 successful feeds since and I have settled her just now in her cot, cross fingers she settles and falls asleep this morning.
I was wondering the same thing about eye colour changes, Julia's eyes are so dark too.. wonder if she will have my daddy's dark brown eyes.
Nat - Yep I called Maz last night cause I was worried about her, shes doing much better now after seeing Doc, she will post soon. Thanks so much for your numbers, will give you a call :) we can always meet up one day too find a central area once we have both settled our new babies in - would be great to catchup wtih you.
PMSL ShellBell - you made my day! so funny!!! thank god for steam cleaning!!! how you feeling today?
Jodi-lee - thank so much for suggestions she loves her bouncer thank god.. its over 30 degrees in sydney at the moment no way im going to take her out.. we think last night and all day yesterday she was just mega hot.. thank god we have aircon.. she has settled since we have used that more and only wrapped her up in her singlet and nappy instead of a jumpsuit too.
Anna** - so good to speak to you last night, thanks for being a great friend.
MAz - great to speak to you too and Im so happy things are looking up for you now..post soon hon.
Must run and but Lansinoh on my bb's now - ouchie..

I had a wonderful weekend, I feel like my eyes have finally opened up and am enjoying my little girl and my family. My milk is almost gone so my bb's arent killing me anymore but by hell their itchy as all f$$k! Jed's sister cam e up for the weekend (he has 4) and i had a lovely time. Wilhelm has finally stopped spewing and doing 'spewy poo' but im starting to have those grumbling's in my tummy...I hope i dont get it.
Thanks for the chat last night Belle. I hope your feeling better hon.
Caddie - Im gonna catch up with you today (providing Millana is ok, poor baby)
Oh Shell PMSL at the poo thing. I had tears streaming down my face.
Have to go but I'll be back later. Have the autisum team coming for a home visit for Wilhelms assesment
