Aww Jodi.. i hope you get better soon chick and hope Nina behaves herself.
Hey, has anyone seen the playschool rip off on channel 7? Disney playhouse or something? The lady and the guy on there bug the crap outta me. I wish theyd bring back Raggs.. Jess use to love that show!
-
The start of labour is the start of regular contractions, even if that is simultaneous with your waters breaking. Thats why when some women say they had 2 and 3 hour labours with their first they are actually counting from active labour not the very very beginning. Unless your Anna or myself then its exactly how many hours we say lol
Mine was 3 hours from first contraction to Hello baby!
-
The midwives counted mine from when I rang in strong pain that was strong enough to come in so it was over 20 hours! I had been having contractions on/ off for 2 days prior to that they just got stronger. They had to manually break my waters cause everything started slowing down! I tell you 2nd baby better be quicker that was a killer, I was sooo exhausted I couldn't push properly thats why she had to be sucked out!
Jodi- Is your Dh home or gone to work? Tell him to come home and watch Nina, you can't look after her all day and be sick like that, plus you don't want her to catch anything.
adele- Maybe rub some Bonjella on Riley just incase it is his teeth hurting him. Hugs to you, its awful when you get no sleep.
*Belle*- yay Julia having a good sleep! The book I'm reading is by Elizabeth Pantley, I've read a couple of Pinky's too awhile back, they were good, made me not feel guilty about feeding her to sleep and things like that.
Kellxx- we've had a few ****roaches here, make me shiver they are so disgusting, I scream everytime I see one. Cause I can't spray with Ash around I have to kill them with Df shoe (don't want guts on mine) then make him clean it when he gets home!
chrissy- I wish I was able to just speak up and complain, thats great you do. i always tell myself I should but don't have the guts and feel guilty that I'll hurt there feelings!
rikki- How did Ainsleigh sleep overnight? She wake alot or settle in the end? Hopefully she'll do big poo today! Ash seems to sigh with relief after she does an explosive one!
AnnaT- Sending you positive sticky vibes. Try not to concentrate so much on TTC (I know easier said than done), just have fun DTD and try not to think so much about if your doing it at the right time and when you can test etc, try to just enjoy it all.
Hi to everyone else! I think Ash is feeling ignored with me being on here!
-
I asked dh how long i was pushing ruby out.He said i only needed 3 good pushes.I remember it being quick but was in the zone frame of mind. The labour with ruby was great. So 2nd time for me so much better.
Hello everyone, belle, maz, anna, annat, kellxx, jodi, adele,ne lle, rikki, sharleen and those i missed.Your all great.BBL as i cant be bothered talking at the moment, want to clean and get out of house.
-
i was induced with akira with pe and had my water broken with riley as he was over due . the start the clock from the frist contraction till the baby is out.
shellbell i have just done that lol. we were going to give him panadol if that doesnt work i have my brother here helping me as simon has no more days off from last time riley was sick.
well im off to try and get riley to sleep since my brother is outside with akira
-
well baby girl slept through as usual... she even slept in as she was late getting to sleep and i think the massive explosion in her nappy woke her! let's see if she settles off to sleep today though...she is due to go down in about twenty mins.
we're having a christening lunch for ains on sunday for all our perth family... and it is going to be 40 degrees! we were planning on having it outside around the pool, but guess it will be air con all the way!
-
This is me today girls. :dunno: I called the doc to confirm my appointment this morning for Julia and they told me its for tomorrow! man where is my head. So I went to the shops to do some groceries and Julia was good and slept but god we got home tried to breastfeed she cried her ass off, so had to give her formula this morning instead of this afternoon..maybe shes weaning herself off the breast I dont know...shes still grizzly now..sigh...
MAZ - I hope you are ok thinking of you. xoxo
Kell - I count labour from the first of the regular timed contractions..unfortunately mine was still 30hours sigh..geez it must be hot near you today its 32 degrees here already at 11am. The chimes are separate I bought them at Babies Galore for $20 they are playgro ones I think.. they are all soft Anna took a pic for them for me.. I will post them on my website so you can see.
Adele - hey how are the kids today?
Caddie - hello, have a good day out of the house, im staying indoors today its going to be mega hot here.
Shell - let me know if that book is worth looking at?? I let Julia cry last night and it was killing me to hear her but she was soo tired I didnt know what else to do.
Jodi - hope you feel better soon, its horrible being sick...
Back later for more personals girls.. YAY Im keeping up at last, actually its very theraputic chatting to you all thank you girls.

Haha Belle, you keep up better than me I reckon!
Man my weekend was so busy (went out for lunch yesterday even though I was sick), so it's nice to have today to relax! Though I do have loooots of cleaning to do...maybe this arvo..
Oh Jodi, I hope you feel better soon mate, when Heath comes home get him to be in charge of Nina while you take a nap I reckon!
Ooer...my munchkin is sneezing. Sure hope I haven't given him this cold!! Although he doesn't really sound tooo stuffy.
Maz, I'd been meaning to say, I'm so glad you like Vy's legwarmers! Hope your day gets better from here mate.
LOL, River's just made this noise like euuuuuuuuugh, and I heard some squelching along with it...guess I have a nappy to change! xo
-
Belle.. ahhh yeh i see, they look great! I'll have to have a look for some. That pool looks sooo nice! I wish we had a pool. I've had the aircon pumping since about 10am as the house was still super hot from yesterday.. so its pretty nice in here atm.. dont want to know what its like outside! All the plants are starting to schrivel so i can only imagine!
Ah ok cool, so i was timing right then.. so my labour was 11 hours.. from when i started getting regular contractions. My pushing time was only about 15 minutes. I think i only had to push twice and out he came (with the help of an episiotomy as Jesse's heart rate had dropped majorly).
Nelle.. lol at River's noise. You can always tell when Jesse's doing a poo cos all you hear is eeeeeeeehhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
Ok.. scrapping here i come.
-

Caitlyn is starting swimming lessons at 6 months, i am a qulified austswim teacher, so i have been giving her a bit of a headstart in the backyard pool.
better go, did a OPK and i need craig to catch the egg tonight so better go get ready:fertilise:
-
Hey ladies,
Well my poor little boy was just screaming the house down. He hasnt done that since he was 6 weeks old! I bathed him and when DH walked in he went into hysterics, which he's never done with DH or in the bath before ever.. so anyways, got him out and he had a little play and a little nap.. so then he woke and i gave him his before bed bottle.. he cried and whimpered through that.. then after that he just screamed.. and his scream would make anyone shudder its that loud. We gave him some panadol and nothing we could do could stop him crying. I gave him to DH as my arms were breaking and he screamed even louder (didnt think that was possible!), so he gave him back to me and he latched on like a little koala bear! In the end i just ended up walking around with him cuddling him tight and he slowly stopped screaming and then just whimpering until he fell asleep. My poor lilttle boy. I think its a combination of his injection and his teeth.. earlier on he was really chewing on his fist hard.. and after feeling how sharp it was in there. i wouldnt be surprised if theres a tooth there in the morning.
My arms are now aching from holding him.. omg he is soooo heavy!!!
Anyways, i hope hes ok.. like i said i havent seen him like that since he was 6 weeks old or something.. and it was a real 'in pain' sounding scream.
I hope the quietness of this thread isnt other little bubba going through a similar thing.. hope it just mummies having a break.
Shellbell.. i know theyre so grose. We have the real long black ones, and then the small brown ones.. ewww its giving me cold shivers just thinking about them! Another thing that i cant wait until the cold comes!!
Rach.. Jesse hasnt ever really had his head go under.. though he has in the shower and was ok with it..
Caddie.. yay for new camera!! I use to be really into photography.. i use to photograph bands.. i have a website floating around somewhere.
Chrissy.. oooww good luck my friend!! :bluedust:
Has anyone used those ovulation tests? Like Maybe Baby or something? Which ones the best way to test? I want to keep track when we start to try as i wanna try for the girl theory.
Anyways... gonna go reheat my dinner..
xx

Just a quicky to say hello to everyone..just having a bad time with WIlhelm at the moment and the realisation that his grand parents (Jed's parents) are all mouth and dont give a fooy about their autistic grandson or his mummy and daddy. So having a roough patch and Im going to be lerking abit. Just feeling a bit $hitty thats all and I dont need to burdern any one.
Thanks for today Belle, it helped heaps. MAW
Caddie - thanks for thinking of me babe. It means heaps to.
Took Vy to MCHN - she's now 7.2kg and 66cm long, she's grown 14cm in 4 month OMG
Better go
I'll be around and be back on when IM a bit more positive
xxmaz
-
Maz- Hugs to you. Come in here and talk to us. My nephew is autistic also so I know from seeing my sister it can be very hard at times.
Kellxx- Poor Jesse, that happened to one of the mums in my group after immunisations, they went to the hospital cause there daughter wouldn't stop screaming but she also eventually calmed. Must've been just awful to see him like that. i feel like coming up and giving him a cuddle.
I've used those OPK's that you wee on and maybe baby, I found the maybe baby crap and too hard. I was pretty lucky anyways cause I always had a regular cycle so could pretty much guess when I was going to O.
chrissy- good luck chrissy and have fun DTD! Hope you catch that egg!
*Belle*- if you liked pinky's books then this one is worth having a look at, I just borrowed it from the library.
Went to dinner at a friends place tonight. Her parent were there also and her mum was so nice, Ashleigh starts whinging right as dinner starts and her mum sat there holding her eating one handed then pushing her back and forth in pram, felt like a night off. Was fantastic!
-
Aww maz.. im so sorry Jed's parents are like that.. it would be hard for any little one to understand. You just have to show him that there are other people in this world, like mummy and daddy, who love him very much and will do anything for him... poor lil guy.
But hey, youre not burdening nuttin.. if you want to talk we're here for you ok.. if you need to talk about anything, it sometimes helps to share things.. as they say, a problem shared is a problem halved ;)
Shellbell.. ohh they always know what time to play up dont they! But thats nice you were able to have a nice night anyways.
Well no peep from Jesse since.. hopefully he'll sleep through..
Well im off to bed now, sweet dreams everyone.
xx
-
well day sleeps went well today... but tonight was a nightmare (thanks nelle for keeping me company while i listened to my baby girl scream!) finally gave her some teething relief, and a good rub on the back and she has crashed. thank goodness dh is home tomorrow... i might get to eat before 8.30pm.
maz - huge hugs... we are all here for you, never feel like you are complaining to us.
shell - glad you got some help from your friends mum
chrissy - lol, good luck on the egg catching!
i'm off to snuggle up in bed with my book. think i'll change the sheets too, nothing like nice fresh sheets to make you feel better! night girls
-
Might PM you before I go to bed Mazzy moo.
Oh yeah Shell, it's nice when mums and the like help hey!
Rowwrrrrr Chrissy, have a HEAP of fun!
Ohhh Fresh Sheets Rikki that's a brilliant idea...I think the current sheets might have booby juice stains...though that's happening less and less thankfully...those milk glands of mine are settling down somewhat! And no worries sugar, glad to hear that Ainsleigh crashed! River must have been tired, I took him to his room, put him down (with his aquarium and cd), he started to cry so I stuck my little finger in his mouth and then did the ol switcheroo - and he didn't spit the dummy out straight away! Falling for the switcheroo is a good sign of tiredness
Man, bed would be nice...maybe I'll smile sweetly at Rans and ask (or...he wants to use the laptop, so I'll tell him he can only have it if) he makes me a cup of tea!
Night lovelies! xo Hope our babies sleep well tonight and us too!
You girls are awesome.
-
OMG people - Jett had two long naps today **screeches loudly jumping around like a mad woman** He slept 2 and a bit hours in the morning and 3.5 hours this arvo, after having 14 hours sleep last night! I actually got HOUSEWORK done. Do you remember housework????? I had to take 5 min to remember how to use the vacuum. I also managed to cook silverside, potatoes, carrots and cabbage for dinner. I want to marry my slow cooker :heartbeat: Hopefully he can keep this up on a regular basis and I just might get a life back! I have plans for tomorrow and more housework, wonder if it will happen or the magic will be gone and my house will look like a bomb hit it in 2 days...............
I should be in bed as both my boys have been for an hour but its soooooooooooo nice and quiet. Im dragging myself off there whether I like it or not. I will write personals tomorrow!
Maz hun, Im thinking of you, please talk to us if you need to!

-
Feeling better today, not 100% but not throwing up or going to the toilet every 20 min either. Got a lingering headache which will hopefully go away today. Nina was an angel for me yesterday. I had no energy to pick her up or play with her, and she was happy to play on her own, and when she was tired I'd put her in the swing (cause her room was too far away from me) and she'd go to sleep, which she never does. I slept from 7.30 last night till 6.30 this morning. I must have needed it.
rach - he must have heard ya!! lol with his swimming lessons, do you dunk him? I plan on taking Nina from 6 months, I've been getting her into our pool, getting her familiar with it.
belle - how do feel about the possibility that Julia may be weaning herself off the breast?
chrissy - good luck!!
kel - I used the ovulation tests but can't remember the brand. I too was very regular and I know straight away when I'm ovulating. Did he sleep through?
maz - I know you're feeling down but do keep dropping in, we'll brighten your day up :D
rikki - how'd she sleep last night?
annat - housework ... what's that!! Good to hear you got some done yesterday, hopefully he'll behave himself today and you'll get some more done.
-
HAPPY 4 MONTHS JETT!
Holy smokes I cant believe he is almost 6 months
Speaking of the little buddha, he is sacked out on his playmat so it looks like its nap time already  Be back later, got some chores to do!
-
morning girls,
maz - sorry to hear wilhelm is having a hard time. ahh dont the inlaws crap you off mine do so dont worry akira knows they dont like her and she doesnt care. its sad in a way.
belle - how are you going?? hope its another good day fro you. they kids are doing great akira is finally behaving grrr.
jodi - hope you are feeling better just try and rest and drink heaps of water.
hello to everyone else that i have missed.

-
Maz and jodi hope your feel better soon.Hugs to you both.
Happy 4 months jett! Hope mummy is okay?
Me,it took me until 9pm last night to get ruby to bed.I tried everything and she would be asleep but when i put her to bed, waaaa. Panadol and a walk round the block helped but it took a while as she kept opening an eye up to see if i was there!!! at 630pm initially she went to bed no probs for the first time in ages but dh and millana woke her and from then hell for me!! During the day no probs in getting her to self settle but that first evening sleep what a pain. Im rambling but she will go to bed half awake,go to sleep and 5 mmin later screaming. This happened 4 times last night?
Anyway, thanks for the invite to visit rikki! I will take up that offer soon.
BBL ruby is awake for the day
-
caddie - Nina does the same thing lol pain in the ar*e isn't it!
rach - I was talking to a swimming lesson teacher thingy who said it's best to get them used to water as much as possible before lessons start. We have a pool so we reguarly take her in it and she loves it. Glad Jack loves the water too. I'm a little nervous about the whole head dunking thing. In the shower I quickly put Nina's head under the water and she loves it, it's me that's nervous about it all.
HAPPY 4 MONTHS JETT!
Nina has been asleep for 1.5 hours so far!! MIL coming over for coffee so better go and put some decent clothes on hehehe
-
Jodi we have been putting jacks head under shower since 2 weeks
-
Ash was bit cheeky last night, put her down at 9 after a good feed, was little later than usual then she was awake 10:30, 11:30 and 12:30. I wouldn't give her the boob at that wake-up so Df nicely got up and helped settle her, she setled by 1 and slept til 5:45 then!
I went up to the beach last night too and checked out the big comet, been cloudy all week so being first clear night everyone was checking it out. Its pretty big!
Rach75- Can I ask why you would want to get up at 6am to do all that?!! I'd much prefer to stay in bed!!
Happy 4 months Jett!
I still haven't put Ash in big bath yet so I'm not sure how she'll feel about pools. The small bath is bit small for her though so I really should start using big one, we did go in once together but she wasn't all that impressed.
-
Ruby loves to sit in a bath seat shell and kick around.Do you have one to try?
-
Caddie- Yeah I've got one I should get it out and clean it and try it out.
-
Hi LAdies,
My friend and I are going to a parental learning class today.
Im really excited. It goes for two hours every Tuesday and for 8 weeks.
They teach you CPR and all sorts of things.
Ill let you all know how it goes.
Hope everyone is doing well.
Go CHRISSY GO!!!!! woohooo dont forget to ENJOY DTD! lol
When is the best time to DTD when you want to get pregnant?? is it a week or so after AF is gone?
Blahhh i have no idea haha we just did it and HELLO BABY!!! ahaha
10 months later my darling daughter was born :)
I had an appointment this afternoon with Bettina Management modelling agency for Savanna. As soon as i got off the phone yesterday with the lady i started regretting it. I was feeling so aweful i dont know why. Im ringing to cancel it now. I just dont feel right about making the decision to put her in modelling as yet. Maybe when she is old enough to decide for herself then she can give it ago. But i dunno i just dont feel good about "making my baby work". I want her to be my baby for as long as possible before she grows up too quick :)
take care ladies have a lovely day!!
love ambz

Morning all..
Well, little Jess slept like a log last night.. didnt hear him until 6am which is his usual wake up, as he'd done a poo. No idea what went on last night with him. He's asleep now. Has been very clingy lately.. not wanting to be anywhere but in my arms.. and if i put him down on his mat he rolls over and gets stuck... tis an endless circle. Hope its all just needle effects and goes away soon enough.
Rach.. isnt it always the way! Though i know if im going out in the morning and i want Jesse to wake up at a certain time to feed and be ready to go, he has always woken at that time! Though if i try and send him vibes to sleep in.. that never happens! lol
Im on the pill atm so yeh am regular cycle wise.. how long should you stop the pill before you start to try? I fell pregnant while on the pill with Jesse so have no idea about that stuff.
Shellbell.. Jesse wasnt too phased with the big bath either until i got his lie down seat (you can get them at BigW) as i had to get in and hold him the whole time.. now he cant get in fast enough.. as soon as he's in he's kicking and splashing away, think the freedom helps too. We bought him a proper up right seat prior and he seemed a little nervous with it also cos he cant sit up right yet.
Ambz.. i think the best time to DTD is a few days before, during and after you ovulate which is a week or so after AF goes?
Happy 4 months Jett!
Hello everyone else, love your work! Gonna go make a cuppa.. damn i think i hear a :babyboy:
-
Morning girls...
Chrissy - Hope you caught that eggie last night!
AnnaT - Big Happy 4 Months to Jett! Time is going so fast.
Shell - I've only just started using the big bath for Xander this week... the first time he was a little unsure, but now he loves it!!! I just do what AnnaT does with Jet, fill up the bath to ear level and let him lie down and splash around.
Jodi - I haven't dunked Xander yet either, but will next month ( I think). Hope you are still feeling a bit better.. try to get some rest.
Belle - How are you today?
Caddie - Poor Ruby and poor you.. hope you have a better nights' sleep tonight.
Maz - :grouphug: We're all here for you..
Kellxx - Did Jesse sleep through for you?
Nelle/Rikki - I changed our sheets last night too - it's so nice have nice crisp clean sheets.. tho this time I remembered to put a towel under the fitted sheet on my side to catch the boobie juice.
Adele - Hope you manage to get a nap in today.
Got some awesome news today... Xander rolled from his back to his front today!!! It means that his neck is finally getting stronger, so fingers crossed it continues to strengthen up an he catches up to all the other bubs the same age as him.
-
Shell - I put Jett in a few inches of water on his back in the big bath and he loves it. Try it with Ashleigh and see how she goes. He got to big for his baby bath but cant use it as a seat yet, he loves the freedom of lying in the big bath and being able to scoot up and down and splash his hands and feet.
Jett loves going underwater in the shower but esp in the bath with Mama. I cant wait to start his swimming lessons!
For someone who asked - you generally ovulate around 14 days after AF but that isnt always the case with everyone. If you use OPKs (Ovulation Predictor tests) from about CD 10 til you get a + reading you'll get a fair idea of when it happens. The best thing to do if you want a good chance at catching the egg is to have sex every second night from 3 or 4 days after AF leaves til a few days before AF is due.
Jett had another nap this morning for around 45min so I managed to have a shower, then he played on his playmat listening to music while I cleaned the kitchen and did the dishes. Now he is tired and grumpy but refuses to fall asleep. I can hear him in his swing banging away with his hands on the tray.
YAY GO XANDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Watch out Anna, he'll be a rolling demon like mine and youll be rescuing him every second of the day :cryinglaugh:
-
Anna**- Yes Anna ask your Dh for another one! Is the reason behind having one was because of difficulty TTC? Maybe you could just have unprotected sex and if it happens it happens without worrying bout it.
Yay on Xander rolling too, how exciting! I'm still waiting for Ash to roll. Whens shes on her back she'll go half way then go back and if shes on her tummy shes too busy trying to get crawling!
ambz- Depends on your cycle. if you have a regular cycle its easier to pinpoint. usually its 14 days before your periods due that you ovulate so if you have a regular 28 day cycle its roughly week after AF depends on lenght of it. I read eggs are only good for a day or so so you need to get in that window of oppotunity, sperm can last few days so DTD before and on day you O gives you pretty good chance.
I've thought bout doing modelling work with Ash too but decided against it, just thought she'd prolly hate being made to sit a certain way and be pulled this way and that.
-
Ambz - what shell said is right. Your egg is generally released within 24 hour of the hormonal surge that kickstarts ovulating. Its only good for 12 hours and then thats it. If you know when you ovulate, having sex the day before, the day of and the day after (too be sure) is the best option. Sperm last up to 3 days though, thats how we got Jett :)
Hey gals I need some song suggestions to dowload. Any idea's? I like just about anything.
-
Anna**.. HOORAY FOR XANDER!!! What a clever boy!!! Beware... now he's got the nack of it, he'll drive you bonkers with it! (in a cute kinda way) ;)
Yes he did.. have no idea what happened last night, but he slept until 6am.. then was up until about 9.40am and has been in bed since.. ive heard him in there talking and ahhhhing but hes back asleep now.. fingers crossed he's ok tonight.
AnnaT.. im gonna try that with Jess tonight in the bath, instead of his seat. I called our local pool to enquire about lessons and they dont start until they're 6 months over here.. so will think about it around then.. was surprised how cheap it was.. i was expecting it to be like $200 or something, only $8.50 per lesson/$85 per term. I think it will be great fun.. and good to get out of the house, im such a lazy a$$ lately!
What type of songs do you want? You mean for you to listen to or Jett? Cos i was gonna recommend Big Red Car lol ;)
Ahh ok.. i guess for me trying for a girl.. so we'd just DTD up until i ovulate.. so with the test how does it work.. does it tell you when youre close to ovulating or just when you are ovulating?
Feeling a little down today.. have no idea.. AF isnt near, only had it last week.. just feel down.. anyways.. gotta soldier on..
-
Put on some music you like and DANCE Kell! (nothing left for meee to do but DANCE!)
Which reminds me, AnnaT, how about some Jamiroquai? (She's such a cosmic girrrl - ooh wa wa waaaa) I have a whole lot of songs I want River to learn...like Stevie Wonder's Sir Duke...
Maz, I forgot to PM you last night...will do it after this!
Oh that's great that Xander rolled Anna! Good that his neck muscles are getting strong! River's forgotten how to roll, silly duffer. He used to roll from his front to back, now he just gets grumpy and chews on his play rug.
And I do the same with baths now for River - shallow water in the bottom so he can lie in it. He gets such a serious look on his face when he kicks about, like splashing is a really serious business. Shell, if Ash has issues with it, just do whatever cheers her up normally, like chatting or making funny sounds for her...that made Riv more comfortable the first time.
And Riv loves his head under the shower too, but I'm a bit reluctant to do it unless I know he doesn't have any trace of a cold...still a bit scarred from when he choked on dislodged mucous :)
Speaking of which, I think I've given him my cold...his nose is running like a tap and he woke up at 4:30 this morning, which is sooo unusual for him! And he's all sneezy and coughy. So I'm just constantly wiping his nose, which is rather entertaining since he tries to eat the tissue/rag every time!
Better go shower, my lovely mum is bringing some food over for lunch and gonna watch Riv while I get my house somewhat tidy again! xo
