morning jodi, i saw you online when i woke, thought miss nina must be giving you the sh*ts!

riki, thats great ainsleigh is growing so fast, caitlyn is over the 95% girl charts, but she is in proportion, and thats the main thing, my nurse told me to mix a bit of rice cereal with whatever their eating, so they get there iron, cause caitlyn will not touch it, but she told me that once they start eating more solids and not as much milk they need to get more iron as they dont get as much from their milk anymore, they are all so conflicting on what the "experts" say.

Maz you go girl i was going to say the same thing about annat, but wasnt sure how to do it, you are great woman, you really get to the point, and raising kids is Fu**ing hard work, i had 4 to deal with when i split from their father, and its so much easier with both mum and dad there, and i had to break the news to 4 kids that mum and dad are not living with each other any more, and who would you like to live with, the boys said dad and the girls said mum, so now my boys live with their dad, around 800km away from me

AnnaT, i totally agree with maz work on your relationship before diving into the deep end and trying for another baby, its good that he is helping you again though, it is so hard being a single parent, and also so hard going through the court system, believ me i have experienced it, with my children, and the huge **** fight with craigs kids, and the only ones that loose out of it are the children, so please girl work on the relationship first.I only see my 2 boys about 6 weeks out of a whole year and that is so tough, i miss them so much, oh sh*t, her comes the tears...well you get my drift.

River woke up early, not sure what hit me!! :p
He's back in bed, I can hear him making that struggling noise (sure hope it's just him trying to get out of his wrap and not trying to poop!) His last feed was at 11:30 last night (we went to Rans parents in the country yesterday arvo-night for his mum's birthday, hence the later than usual feed) so Riv definitely needs more sleep...just waiting for him to catch on to that before I can sleep. :rolleyes: I think he might be somewhat dehydrated too, his fontenelle's a bit sunken...I don't think I filled him up this early in the morn, my boobs aren't used to having to make milk for a few hours yet :)

AnnaT.. Aw thanks mate.. he is a little spunka. No i was negative. They said they have no idea why his temperature was down or why his heartrate dropped so low. But yeh my delivery time, from when i started pushing, was only about half an hour max, as they needed him out super quick due to his heartrate... so maybe it was a mixture of that and his heart rate dropping?
Thats great your DH is starting to make an effort! They dont realise what theyve got till its gone i tell ya.

Maz.. Oh i love your ticker photo!!!! That is such a beautiful photo! No not yet.. hopefully theyll come today... we seem to always be slow getting mail out my way.. we are a little out west of Sydney.

Rikki.. We weighed Jesse on Wednesday and he's at 9.1kg and is 67cm. So putting those 2 along side each other theyd be practically the same. Ive been just weighing and measuring him myself.. is that bad? I was told i only need to go to the clinic if we have any problems or questions.

Jodi.. what a little party animal you have being up that early.. poor mum. Jesse wonk at about 4.30 am too but i just went and gave him his dummy and he went back to sleep until 7am (which is a record for him)!

Chrissy.. yeh go for it.

Getting very excited about starting Jess on his solids.. should i just go the plain rice cereal first or get the apple and pear one so it have a bit more flavour? He took to his sippy cup like a fish to water so i hope the same goes for his food.

rikki- wow it sounds like she might be a tall girl is anyone tall in your family??? just looked in akiras blue book to see where she was at that age and ainsleigh is doulbe her weight but akira was 74cm long then.

Another night of zilcho sleep here, again the neighbours rat-dog-thing decided to start yapping at 2am - which of course woke Xander and the little bugger just doesnt' like to re-settle lately. DH is staying home from work today to help me out (and to get some sleep himself)

well she needed to poo, then thankfully went back to sleep till just now. She's happily playing on the ground watching tv.

Im sorry all you girls are having a hard time with your babies sleeping. I make sure Vy gets a solid tea before bed now and she wants to be wrapped back to sleep. She's been doing atleast a 10 hour night. Usually down by 7.30 and wakes at 6 in the morning. Wilhelm has been sneecking into our bed at around 3 the last 2 nights. Habit that is going to stop tonight!

Oh, giving my little terror a formula dream feed works! his last booby is around 8.30pm and then its a formula top up, he drinks about 130mls at 10.30 ish and lasts until around 4.40.. so much better.. lets hope it lasts!

with anna nicole they are saying it was a drug overdose hmmm. i feel sorry for her 5mth old having to grow up with out her mum and brother now. poor thing.

6.2kg ... that is so tiny, how cute!! Nina is about 8.5kg now, could be heavier. She's getting really hard to carry around too, especially when I have to feed her at night, and she's half asleep so it's all that dead weight.

A couple of weeks ago Heath and I were ooopysing and not being careful ... well lately I had a lot of discharge (sorry if TMI) and feeling really funny. I'm not due for my period for about 2 weeks, so probably no point testing till then.

maz - I give Nina some food just before bed and it hasn't changed her sleeping habits at all, she's still waking twice a night, and when she feeds at those times it's big feeds. I just wish she'd sleep through, she was such a good sleeper for the first 4 months, sleeping through for 12 hours most nights.

It is a shock bout Anna Nicole, my sister has a theory of she and her son been murdered. She's decided thats her story she's gonna stick with. Her poor daughter though, be interesting to see who is the father.

rikki- Ashleigh does the same thing as Ainsleigh in regards to the screaming everytime shes put in the cot, Ash has improved in the fact that she prolly does it 60% of the time now instead of 100%. I was referred to sleep school few weeks ago but there was a waiting list so am waiting to be contacted but may get some tips that you could try also. At the moment I'm just trying to catch her as soon as she is tired, wrap her, put on her CD and see what happens, sometimes rocking the cot works othertimes nothing works at all and i end up just having to get her up, feed her again and start from scratch.

Jodi- If your not due for 2 weeks the discharge could be related to ovulating now? How did you cope with your first 2 days of work? The expressing work out well?

Nessa83- Ashleigh is only little one too, Ash only weighed 6.1 at her 4 month check but shes been going along the 50% curve.

Anna**- hope your getting some rest in, we had a better night last night thankfully, Ash woke 3 times, nice difference to 5!

Belle- Was thinking bout you last night wondering if you'd done any hypnotherapy yet and how it went.

Had another ****roach in Ashleigh's room last nigt so there I was at 3am her in my arms chasing this roach trying to stomp on it, anyway it got away so all morn I've been paranoid bout this loose Roach in my house!

shell - This is different to ovulating. I ovulated beginning of the week. Who knows, if I am then it's no biggy.
Work went really well. It's such a cruisy job. Expressing is going great! In 4 minutes I get between 70-100ml at work, from each breast, so I only have to express twice at work, 10am & 2pm. I have about 1000ml in the freezer ATM.
Hopefully Ash will keep waking only 3 times, or less at night for you. Is she taking to a bottle/sippy cup yet?

I think Nina's gums are causing her some grief today, she's cranky and clingy, or maybe it's cause I'm home with her and she's not at daycare??

Jodi- Still not taking sippy cup, she just won't suck from anything but breast! Just chews everything else. Haven't tried for few days though with the frequent night wakings I been too tired to express. The electric pump sounds fantastic though thats great you're doing so well and its all working out so well for you.
She could be bit clingy cause she just starting to get used to daycare and not having mummy there all day.

Shell! I have the same murder theory as your sister!! Downside being that, according to my theory, the baby will have to be next, so I'm hoping and praying I'm just being wonderfully dramatic.

Got a little boy here on my lap, grinning when I put a piece of chocolate in my mouth...well, I gotta keep him smiling don't I? :p

Jodi that's fantastic that work is going so well for you! Glad the expressing is working out!

ETA: Actually, expressing question: How long does it take our boobs to fill back up? Cos I might need to express for when I go to youth group tonight (xtreme games, there will be sumo suits involved :lol:) but I don't want to express then not have anything left for a normal day feed. Any tips?

OMG Nelle sumo suits, sounds like fun. Sorry not sure about how long it takes to fill. Maybe give them 1/2 hr after a feed and have big drink. Goodluck. Will be sending you a pm in a min, have a quick question.

Nelle- I think it can vary per person apparantly they are always filling up, just each individual fills at different speeds. Do you need to express so he can have that expressed milk while your in your sumo suit? Maybe you could express just before you go that way he has his feed there and then your boobs will be okay for his feed after that.

Nelle-Thanks have answered your PM. I think he has a bit of reflux again, it comes and goes. Nothing like the early days though.

Eithan is nearly 6mths old now and I will give you an update of weight and lenght when he has his chk-up, but just to give you an idea of size in comparision for the 4mth age. He was 60cm and 5.6kgs. Bella was huge at 65cm and 7kgs ( but suprisingly not chubby, like Eithan is)

nelle - I can express about 50ml within an hour of feeding Nina. How much are looking at expressing? You can always express in-between feeds, or like shell said express just prior to when he's due.

Well Nina is FINALLY cutting a tooth :clap: It's up the top. I heard a clang when feeding her this morning and it's quite sharp.

Well youth groups from 7-10 and church is only 5min from here so perhaps I'll do a 6:30ish feed, and then if Riv hasn't settled when I get home I'll feed him again.

i rang mum up today for a chat, and after about 10 minutes, she informed me that its dads birthday( i am the only one of their kids that make a effort when it comes to birthdays) I said it cant be its september, with me looking at the calander, it took me 5 minutes to actually comprehend that it was actally 9th feb........:doh: :wall:

Eithan is on the floor with no nappy on, I am trying to encourage him to roll as he will only move around with no nappy on. But he is a little fountain and he moves around so much it gets everywhere. I cant keep up with moving around the towel. I am going to go into spotlight within a week and buy a big piece of cute printed curtain material that is rubber backed to put on the floor. We are getting new carpet soon (cream) before we sell the house and I dont want him soiling it all.

Anyway better go think about ordering tea. Slarck arse me I'm ordering Pizza.

ok, Vy is officially on the move. She tummy crawled for about 2 feet today and had the biggest spack cause it was all to much , then proceeded to roll to me. that was my first biggy, second one, WIlhelm decided today, after 2 years of not wearing long sleeves, jumper, jackets and long trousers like cargos and trackies, that he wants to. I cried my eye's out. I went through his cupboard with him, getting the cloths out to sell on ebay and he said no, i want to weat that now. He put on his buzz jacket and his blue cargo pants. Jed walked in and just said dont cry but it was too late. Oh no more stupid looks in winter when he's wearing shorts and a t-shirt on an 8 degree day. THANK GOD!

So apparently he volunteered me to be the taxi driver picking him, his mates and his mate's girlfriend up 20min away at god knows what time after they float down the river tomorrow. I said no it wasnt fair seeing as they yet again planned something that myself and Jess (other mate's g/f) couldnt go to because of the kids. So now Im apparently a beeyotch and blacklisted by his friends because I refused to taxi them home with a baby who is cranky and hates his carseat. Am I a bad person/friend for doing this? They always expect those of us with kids to fit in with their plans but never do they take into account that a) we have children and they choose to have friends with children to consider and just arent as flexible or carefree as they are; and b) that our partners have responsibilities as husbands/boyfriends and fathers, they cant just keep making plans that dont include us and expect us to like it.

This is seriously the last straw. I am sick of him putting his friends before us. Ive been battling this for years with him and I just cant do it anymore :(

Dont worry Maz Im not offended, we arent TTC right now anyway because I have to have tests done, plus you need to have sex to get pregnant and the way I am right now that aint ever going to happen.

AnnaT.. well all i can say is stand your ground mate.. you dont deserve to be walked over like that.. you are no ones slave. No way are you a bad person for doing this.. your DH needs to know that having a baby isnt just the mother's responsibility, its his child too.. i dont know what you are to do regarding your relationship with him, thats something i guess you have to figure out and decide for yourself what to do.. but dont let anyone make you feel guilty because you refuse to let them walk all over you. Make sure you just look after yourself and Jett ok.. you two are more important than anyone else.
