Hello eveyrone else - sorry for being slack - having a dizzy morning and my back is out!!1
All this talk about a new car has got me itching. Ive been driving Jed's VN wagon cause its cheaper than the ford explorer and im starting to think that I might go back to a wagon...any suggestions girls? Im sick of paying $100 to fill the car and then only getting 400km out of it.
As for the sleep thing, Vy went down at 9.30 last night and slept until 7.30 this monring and just went down again at 8.30...YAY for me (finally)
BBL having a shower while monsters are quiet

quick goodmorning all, yeah ness how come you designed your own I need a new one now jack is moving :)
Happy 3rd birthday Teleah and happy 9 months to my Ashleigh.
I'm loving those new AV's. I'm wanting a new one now too! They're not our little newborns anymore.
Not much to report here. You all hear there gunman in the city? (Melb that is) Apparantly one man is dead and 2 others (man and woman) in hospital. My mum works in city she said they not allowed to leave building cause close to the crime scene.
Happy birthday to Teleah and happy 9mths to Ashleigh!
I heard about that this morning Shell, how scary! I hope they catch whoever did it. God whats the world coming to?
Had an ok weekend. Just bludged all day saturday (didnt get my sleep in as Ry had to work) and went to a Crystal and Linen party next door. Then dinner out Sat night which was yum yum yum but I couldnt eat it all or I would be sick. I'll be so glad to see the end of this bloody morning sickness! Yesterday I slept in til 11:30 (couldnt sleep any later which bugged me) and bludged all day again.
J slept well on Friday night with 8hrs straight from 11:30-8:30. Saturday night he was a horror! He went down at 9 and was up at 1:30am screaming his lungs out because he had diarrhea'd in his nappy. Thankgod he didnt leak but the nappy was literally green right through to the outside. So I cleaned him up and gave him a feed but it set the tone for every 2-3hrs for the rest of the night. Last night was weird - he went down at 8:30, woke at 12:30 for a feed then I can remember waking around 4:30 and hearing him wide awake chattering away to someone about "Daddy" and "Bubba". I told myself I wouldnt get up unless he called out and then I dont remember a thing til 8am! Must have went back to sleep but god knows how long he talked for. So I fed him at 8am and went back to bed til 10am. Might have a nap this arvo though Im still tired.
Hows the hair growing going to our bubs? Jetts always had a little but because its blonde didnt look very thick but now he has a nice head of hair and its starting to curl, so cute! I think he's going to have the same hair I did as a kid, all curly and windblown lol
:happybirthday:Happy birthday Teleah
Ohh - I am gonna put the news on. I haven't had it on today and find out what is going on with the gunman.
BBL
Morning! :D
Ness gets to design her own av cos she knows Astrolady in real life. That's my theory anyway. You're all looking good though girls!
Not much news here, I'm eating a bowl of cornflakes and River's crawling around falling over crying and then recovering...right now he's crawling towards me and giggling. I love mornings where he keeps himself amused. :p
Hey, when your baby was getting their top teeth, did they gnaw on their bottom lip a lot? River's chewing his like it's chocolate flavoured.
Hope everyone's doing well. Better go before my cornflakes go soggy. xo
Nelle.. yes! re the bottom lip sucking/biting. Has been doing it for the past week or so.
AnnaT.. Jesse's hair.. well he was born with dark brown hair but it all fell out on top except for a mow hawk down the middle and behind the ears like a little old man. Its now grown back blonde, and is getting blonder and whiter as it grows. Its also got a bit of a wave on top and a few curls around the back and sides. Its getting pretty long too.. the side bits go over his ears a little.
Its all dark and gloomy here.. no rain yet.. though wont be long.. i hope!
Ness, where do you design your own Av?
cool shall give it a go :)
OMG I am so sick of dodgy nappies we decided to give snugglers a go for daytime use and man the amount that break as we are putting them on is ridiculous I did make a complaint last month and received a email saying someone would contaqct me within 14 days well nothing so far grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.....................
Rach.. oh wow.. havent ever tried snugglers.. definately wont in future.
BTW gals.. if you wanna sign the Happy Birthday Teleah thread.. heres the link https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...ad.php?t=39976
Don t have that problem...we're a clothie family here btu I use to have those problems with huggies with WIlhelm
Yay - Happy Birthday to Teleah!!!!!
Rylee was awake from 2.30 am to 6 am - nothing wrong with her just whinging away and wouldn't go in her cot.....so I am not the happiest today.
Caddie & Chrissy - thinking of you both.
BBL
Laurin
P.S sorry this is all about me.
love the new photo of Rylee ! Laurin!
seems like a quiet day here today.
I have had Snugglers before, but didn't have a problem. Maybe a faulty batch?
Laurin - Sorry that you had a bed night. Hopefully you will have a better one tonight.
Kell - did it rain?
James had a pretty bad afternoon. He didnt have a sleep, and by 6pm this arvo he was inconsolable. He went to sleep at about 6:45 while BF. I hope he stays asleep, but I doubt it. He never sleeps well when he misses his afternoon sleep. Will let you know how we go tomorrow.
Anyway hope everyone had a great night.
Meg.. only a little bit, but theyre predicting extremely bad weather come tomorrow night.. lots of rain and strong winds. Am suppose to me going out and meeting a friend tomorrow, so will have to see what its like in the morning as shes about an hour away. Not going if its bad. Hope James continued to sleep through for you until tomorrow!
Hey lovelies! I really don't have anything to say, but thought I'd just pop in and fill up empty space. :p
How are you all going? What did you do tonight? Did your babies go down without a fuss or did they fight like they're in training for Olympic trouble-making?
I heard River singing a bit, but then I had to go out, and apparently he ended up going to sleep.
I've got haphazard kinda-quiches in the oven at the moment...wonder if they'll work out?
hi girls,
just popping in to say hi. sam home tomorrow and our first wedding anniversary this weekend so no doubt i'll be MIA! got family coming from NSW on Friday too, so busy week for us. Ains still has a cold/mild bronchiolitis so poor thing missing swimming again tomorrow, but apart from that she is wonderful. Full on crawling and copying everything you do. My Mum babysat her today for only the second time (don't ask, just rest assured that it is just as hard, if not a lot harder having a difficult mother that MIL) while i took the puppy to the vet.
Happy birthday Teleah and to all the monthers that i missed... can't believe that xander and nina are only two months off 1 year (and then Ainsleigh!)
Nelle, i made a haphazard quiche tonight too.... and so did my good friend, i talked her thru the recipe on the phone while i made ours. was yummy. ains eats eggs now too, and she LOVES quiche! in fact i have been on a cooking/baking frenzy lately.... scaring myself i'm so domesticated!
have a great week girls...
Nelle.. Whats a Haphazard quiche?
Rikki.. Happy Anniversary for this weekend! Hope you have a special one!!
Well its been p*ssing down over night here.. prediction is 100km winds and storms today so oooow we'll see. Have cancelled my plans with my friend. Dont wanna get stuck ont he other side of Sydney in it. Have to go out though and get nappies a little later.
Did anyone see my post?
Oh well, am not feelin the best today got a headache/migrane and have MG today... its ****ing down with rain! hopefully will stop soon.
Hope you are all well.
Oh I hate snugglers, they leak everywhere for Julia so we use Huggies.
Sorry belle i dont know how to design an av but i thought someone put a link somewhere? Unless there is another one ive missed?
Ruby has had me up since 430am.So lovely to be up at that hr. Im deciding weather to go to playgroup as unable to take millana friday or go up the shops.
Wild and wooly weather! We have had hardly any rain or winter here. Bit of a bummer as i like it now and then as long as the power dont go out.
ok I am going to attempt personals if I mis ya sorry :hugs:
Nessa hope Taleah had a great day ........ I looked at the av site but I must have stuffed up cause it just kept giving me links toother sites :dunno:
Nelle yep Jack bites his bottom lip all the time, I kept blaming Jase and he sucks his LOL, Jack has been a horror with sleeping again he is going down at 8pm but waking at 9.30pmish and not wanting to go back to bed till nearly 12am *yawn* I did put him to bed wide awake last night I was cold and tired he chatted to himself for a bit then I fell asleep I woke at 1am checked hima nd was fast asleep
AnnaT jack was born with dark dark hair and slight curl but most of it fell out :( growing back light brown with reddish tinge in sun, and so staright curls when wet, but he will never be one of those kids with a spikey do and mohawk look I tried it failed LOL he will be the boring kid
Kelly sounds like a good idea to cancell plans eek yucky weather take care and abtton down the hatchs BTW I saw the pics with the star shoes oh so cute *love*
Laurin must be the week for bad sleeps :hugs:
Rikki happy anniversary for the weekend
Belle we use huggies if goign anywhere and overnight we just decided to give snugglers a go but grrrrrrrrr..............hugs hope you feel better soon
Caddie hiya :)

welll Jack is being painful painful today dunno why he got up in a good mood now grrrrrrrrrrr, anyway we have CHN at 10.30am so best bust a move hang out washing bath Jack etc be back later with stats
hope I didn't miss too many hey ya to all
Rikki - Have a great wedding anniversary.
Belle - I hope your migraine improves
Caddie - Hopefully Ruby has a long sleep today. Any news yet?
Nessa - James had a great sleep. Didn't hear from him till 7:30 pm.
I had mothers grp yesterday. Honestly I dont know how much longer I will keep going. They always manage to make me feel bad. James is not crawling yet, nor is he pulling himself up. He can slide around backwards, and does move around. He is also showing signs of getting near crawling by getting into the crawl position. Anyway a few of the other mums make me feel bad saying how much further advanced their child is compared to mine. It is starting to upset me. Part of my anxiety is around the fact that I work with children with disabilities, and I am $hit scared of something being wrong. So of course seeing other children reaching milestones way before James makes me nervous. No wonder the GP didn't want to take me off my antidepressants yet!!
Nessa - thanks for your lovely post. Sometimes all I need is a little reassurance to make me feel better.
meg jack isn't crawling properly either and has only really started pulling himself up on things this last week or 2, when i went to mums group last week there is a little girl 1 week younger than jack and she seems so much older jack seemed like a baby baby, then one of the mums said jack has a lot more weight to manouver than the little girl :hugs: wont be long before ours are up and running  then we will be like why did we want them to move again
ness got chn soon will jump on later and try to catch ya :)
Meg- I hate hearing bout mother's groups like that. Aren't they meant to be to support each other!? As Ness said remember they all do things at there own pace. My MG has kisd crawling and others that don't move at all, everything varies. If they are the type of ppl that like to point out those kind of things then they prolly have alot of insecurities of there own.
Ness- Glad to hear Teleah's birthday went well. Haven't bought my KK yet, will closer to time but have been thinking bout it.
Rach- Maybe call snugglers again, thats bad they keep breaking nappies don't come cheap, hopefully they'll send you some freebies.
caddie- 4:30 is way too early, still like the middle of the night. You must go to bed really early.
Belle- I've got mums group too today, got the storm cover and umbrella out JIC, hopefully it won't rain on my way there.
rikki- Enjoy your anniversary, and I hope Ainsleigh gets over all these illnesses. You've had more than your fair share so hopefully now she won't get sick for years.
Kell- I wouldn't want to be out in 100km storms either. I hate driving in the rain.
Laurin- i hope Rylee gives you a better night sleep, must be night time at the moment there? Well hopefully you are both asleep right now.
I just had some ppl at the door, god knows who they are, they prolly religious or something but they said they've been to a class and decided to door knock to talk to ppl about concerns of the world etc. There no way I letting strangers into my place!
Hi ladies, sorry I havent been on much. Just popped on quickly to say hi, sorry I havent really chkd the posts as I havent got much time, but Caddie I hope that things are going ok. Chrissy I hope that Craig is going ok.
Eithan cut his first tooth yesterday afternoon, you cant see it but you can feel that it has cut through.
Love
Haha, yay for a toothy peg Eithan! Hi Helen!
Meg, I really wouldn't worry about James not crawling or whatever. Anna's Xander is the oldest of ours and he was a little slower to do things that babies like Annat's Jett (one of the youngest) had been doing for months, but there ain't nothing wrong with either baby, they just do things in their own sweet time. Besides, much as you'd love James to be more mobile, he will drive you bonkers once he's on the move. I like that Riv can come find me if he needs me, but I swear, the things he gets into...honestly.
Kell - Haphazard: : marked by lack of plan, order, or direction. So haphazard quiche is much like any of my haphazard meals, where I make it up as I go. They turned out pretty good in the end though!
Sorry I missed your post Belle, how's your head now?
Ness, that dollmaking site made no sense to me, I couldn't find where I was supposed to be, and I'm not usually dumb at these things. Maybe you could PM me the link? Can I blame it on a frozen brain?
I just looked at the weather forecast, and apparently it's only going to be 13degrees today...uncool.
Hey, has/does anyone watch Top Gear? We've got some of the series and it's my new favourite thing.
Meg.. oh hun, im sorry your mums group made you feel that way. All bubs do things at different stages and when they are ready. I think each one has something theyre slow at doing. Jesse still has never said mumma or dadda or bubba or anything other than blah blahh blahh babbling. They all do things at their own pace.
Ive never joined a mums group for being scared of the same thing.. other mums being narky like that. Im lucky i have all these wonderful people in our group here when i need any information or am worried about something, theyre always here offering such great advise. Honestly, if i didnt have this group.. i have no idea how i wouldve gotten through the past 9 months! Its just too bad we are all in different parts of the continent.. otherwise i think we'd all make a killer mums group!! :hugs:
Shell.. oh gawd.. i dont like people who knock on the door. They sound like Jehova's Whitnesses. Were they wearing black suits, black tie and white shirts? Even when people come saying theyre from Optus and are trying to sell something.. ill never open the door to them.. dont like people who try and sell things over the phone either.
Nelle.. ahhh gotcha! Glad it turned out well. Do you make your own pastry? or just buy the cases?
Helen.. WOOHOOOOO On Eithan's first tooth!! WOO WOO!
Belle.. do you have any wind out your way yet? Its been sprinkling all morning, pooring last night.. just waiting for the strong winds and storms theyre predicting.
Chrissy.. hope everythings ok up your way and DH is getting better.
Anyways.. gonna go make a cuppa soup.
:dance:firstly go Ethan on your first tooth
ok quck stat break down then a bit of a vent
at 6 days off 9 months weight 9740kg  length 74.8cm HC 47.5cm we have to see dr re HC as it is now over 90% line have appoint this arvie re referral to paed not worried as Tristan (SIL boy) has big head
anyway my vent she went on and on about giving Jack meat and adding stuff to vegies cheese meat juice meat etc :dunno: I feel he eats his vegies fine why mess with it maybe I am wrong and someone please tell me if I am I will not be offended I just dont understand why a formula fed baby needs to have meat for iron, he is a big goy healthy first ever cold this week anyway she has made a appoint in a month to check my progress with meat does he really need meat at the moment ???
ok best go lunch time here
my quiche was great too nelle. we're having the leftovers for lunch when sam gets home. it's cold here today too.... i've just lit the fire, hope sam arrives home before the last of the wood runs out cos i'm not strong enough to chop the big logs, and that's all that's left!
chrissy, thinking of you, hope all goes well with the op tomorrow. xxx
meg, sorry your mg has made you feel this way. we are lucky, and have the best MG, all really supportive. there is a bub in our group who is exactly the same age as Ains, and she has been crawling for over two months, whereas Ains has been crawling properly for only a few days. please don't stress over them.
rach, Ains has been having meat since she was six months old, because she is such a big bub my chn told me she needs protien as that is why she was so hungry for milk all the time. now she only has three bottles a day (2 x 180ml, then 240ml before bed) and three meals and afternoon tea. she is a much more content baby. also, if you start introducing food now, they are less likely to reject it as they get older. makes life a lot easier too.... Ains pretty much (within reason) eats what i eat for dinner now (and let me tell you, she eats about a half serve of what i eat and i have a healthy appetite!) good luck with whatever you decide.
ok, best go and finish the vacuuming before dh gets home, thanks for all the anniversary wishes, we're going away tomorrow night.... yay! (was the only night we could get a babysitter, advantage of having a hubby home for a week, does not matter when we go!)
Jack is a big bub but has never been a big eater as such like with his milk feeds we have averaged 720ml a day since around 2mths he had a little while where he was taking just on a litre but that lasted maybe a week, he rarely will take more than 120ml a feed :dunno: what to do does he really need meat as such have dr appoint this arvie re HC so shall ask the nurse there her opinion she is great for advice
Rach.. i think 720mls is heaps so dont worry about him only have about 120mls per feed. Jess has roughly 600mls per day (2 x 180mls and 240mls before bed - same as Ainsleigh).. but he is a big eater when it comes to solids, so maybe with Jack its the other way round IYKWIM (he gets enough formula so doesnt need/want too much solids?). Its totally up to you what you feed him. I mean most rice cereals or other cereals have alot of iron in them too. But apart from the goodness in meat (iron protien) maybe she may think its a good idea so he can start to get use to eating meat also? Do what you feel works though..
Kell, I chopped the crusts off pieces of bread, and rolled them flat with a rolling pin, greased muffin tins, squished the bread in there and popped them in the oven for 5 or so mins to harden up a bit - voila! quiche cases. :p SO easy. Just mixed eggs, a bit of milk...and then it was hmmm let me see what else we have...so added garlic, chives, sweet chilli sauce, onion salt and pepper.
I reckon they'd be wicked with cooked bacon or mince, and cheese too. Mmmm....
But yeah, I'm such a lazy cooker, so you know if I've made it, it's a really low effort meal.
Rach, my guess is similar to what Rikki said, that if Jack gets used to all kinds of foods, then he'll be easy peasy to feed, plus if he eats a version of what you and Jase are having, it might work out cheaper too?
Speaking of mother's group, I've realised that mine started 10mins ago. Whoops.
Rach- I think the reason they encourage meat so much is because at about 6 months there iron stores are low and they need that iron in meals. The iron in meat is better absorbed than from other sources. I'm not 100% but I think thats right. Maybe try lentils? I'm not sure exactly how iron enriched they are.
Nelle- Lol, you are always missing mums group. I couldn't understand the website either for AV making.
Kell- Yes they were dressed just how you descibed, I hate opening the door cause our security door doesn't lock so who knows what weirdos could come knocking.
Thankfully Ash has gone down for a quick nap before we go to mums group, couldn't believe she fell asleep within 5 mins!
Wow... so much going on in here! Will have to do this post in bits me thinks as Scott is looking after Xander right now (Scott is home with gastro.... men are shocking when they are sick aren't they?)
Meg - Like Nelle said, Xander is the oldest here and he is one of the slower ones in the group. That being said, in the last week he has suddenly learnt to crawl, sit up, pull to stand and cruise - it was like a switch went off the second he turned 10 months. So maybe James will just suddenly 'take off' too one day soon.
Helen - Woo hoo on Ethan's first toothy peg! "They" say the later they get teeth, the better the teeth will be.
Bugger... hubby is yelling out for help with Xander. BBL
thanks girls I did a post in solid feeding
she just went on and on about protein :dunno:
Nelle he eats homemade stuff except fruit and stuff so I can't work out how it would be cheaper if he was eating what we eat
:dunno: maybe I am being silly I did go and buy some round steak for him, she said not to feed him rib and as that is what we eat I thought well I would find some meat that would stew up ok *ack* this is so hard
Shell.. yay for ash falling asleep so easy!! She sounds like she's turning into a good sleeping bubba. Yep they wouldve been Jehova's Whitnesses. Still i wouldnt let anyone in.. not these days.
Nelle.. oh wow.. that sounds easy peasy.. will have to try it.. yummo!
