I guess for most it'll be first fathers day.

Kell- Poor Jesse and you having to get up. Hopefully as the day goes on he'll be back to his usual self.

Ness- yes df is snoring away. Yay on getting good nights sleep.

Maz- How are your sick ones this morning?

Well Ash slept well last night didn't wake for a feed til 4am, although at few times thru the night I did hear her chatting away to herself and had to wonder if she actually sleeps. Next door must've had some party, didn't hear music but heard drunk laughing and talking at top of there lungs at like 1am. Wasn't impressed. Luckily Ash didn't cry otherwise I would've been shouting over the back fence at them.

KELL - hope Jesse is better for you tonight.

Ok - Iam going to attempt red icing as well. Any hints from all you wonderful cake decorators. Kell I wont try cochineal, so did you just end up using heaps of red food colouring????

Tim worked last night and had to deal with a psych patient from 11pm till 5am. Ended up having to take him to Melbourne under police escort. Anyway he is buggered and is still in bed, so I might make him lunch in bed instead of breakfast in bed. Then this arvo I am going to my Grandpa's. Hoe everyone has a great fathers day.

Hmm, Annie you're still scared and haven't told us why!

Meg- I can imagine your Dh must at times get alot crap being an ambo officer, I know they and nurses are high up there in jobs where assults happen. Was the psych patient violent at all?

My parents and sister are on there way over so should have a nice day. Hope everyone else is enjoying theres. Nice weather out too, well it is in Melb anyways.

Trying to get the exhausted girl to sleep so will be back with a birthday update soon, she had a wonderful day and was spoilt rotten. All she ate for the last 24 hours is fairy bread and birthday cake (and this for a kid who never gets sugar!!!) so no wonder she's not sleeping! Thank you for all the lovely birthday wishes, I'll come back to update more and post pics!

Meg.. thanks hun. Yeh the one Grahame got was called Queen brand Piller Box Red. Just be careful how much you add to make it red.. make sure you taste it each time. But in the mixing bowl it still looked a darkish pink before i put it on the cake. Once on the cake it looked alot more red (i think the black outline helped) and come morning it was really red. So that website Grahame found was right, red coloured icing goes more red over time.

Rikki.. sounds like she had a great day!!

We're just having a lazy one. Grahame got bacon and eggs for breaky. Jess is much better today. Even though he was a little before, hes turned into a real mummys boy hehe.. Everytime i look at him he just smiles. But yeh looks alot brighter than yesterday.

thank yo uall for your birthday wishes for my little girl.....she's in bed sick as a dog with a temp so no party today at all. We're just going to let her go nuts on her cake this afternoon after she's had some panadol. NIkolaus woke up at 3am and spewed all over th etoilet and langdry so yes have had a fab birthday

Maz poor me one too hun.. Jess is teething something bad this afternoon.. cheaks are bright red, pulling at his gums. Just constant crying.. Have given panadol.. the only thing that has stopped the crying is Elmo's World.. he's so whingy.. best get back to him..

oh maz, i do hope the kids get better soon, and just a little bit of wine wont hurt that much.

fathers day here has been good, cooked crossants scrambled eggs and bacon, with all the kids helping, craig has just left to take his kids home, and we had a bbq for lunch, so not much dinner here tonight as i think everone will explode.

caitlyn is still not 100% last night she slept in our bed.argghhh, craig suggested that, right when im ovulating, thats not the way to conceive!! anyway the last couple of days she has screamed the house down as soon as i leave her in the cot, well as soon as i walk out of the room, god i hope it doesnt continue.

Well, DH is in agony - can't move - he picked Rylee up last night off the bed and put his back out, so I was up half the night with him - he literally can't move - is in excruciating pain - and we have the party today - I want to cancel it but he wants it to go ahead and will probably end up going to hospital - not a good start to the day - I feel like crying - wait I have already done that at 3 am this morning - let's up something happens to improve the day - we have a fridge full of drink, meat and salad stuff and a very amateurish birthday cake so if you guys lived a bit closer I would be having a Sep 06 BB BBQ.....will keep you posted.

Has anyone watched Scrubs? I want to say 'awkwarrrrd' like JD does, but it's just not going to work in written form! Haha.

Bummer about the illnessess/injuries getting the way of parties! Been enjoying the party pictures as they dribble in, love hearing what pressies your little bubbas get! They're all so bootiful.

Chrissy, what a bummer bout Cait needing to be in your bed! Had a chuckle re: Craig's father's day booty...every day is Father's day, hey? Haha.

Jodi, that's great you had a good weekend away. Rans and I realised we haven't had a 'date' in awhile, we'll have to tee that one up.

Told the inlaws we're pregnant today, and I think half of their hometown knows by now, judging from the sms's we've got. I was hoping news would filter out slightly more slowly, but what can you do?
I had a teensy bit of bleeding which I tried to stay calm about, but I'm not feeling as sick now, so I think it might have had something to do with the placenta taking over.

Has anyone heard of shouting 'huzzah!' at the movies whenever the movie title is spoken? Rans thought we should shout 'huzzah!' whenever the word 'father' came up in the songs at church today. :p Got a good giggle out of that.

Anyway, I'm thirsty. Hope everyone's doing well and has a great sleep tonight. xo
