Phewf! How exhausting are the days before Christmas!? I sang in 2 items at church today, and there were some well known opera singers there (really lovely ladies) who came up and had a chat afterwards, said they liked it, which was so lovely of them! No chance of Rans snuggling and sharing my pillow tonight, my head will be too big! :p Haha.

Am currently getting my sister to start to talk to me again - she's been mad at me cos I stood up for myself. I'm trying to find a balance between not tolerating her bad attitude and complete lack of respect for me - and keeping the peace, because my smart remarks won't help or change her.
I think I'll just need to be kind but very firm - but SO hard to do when pregnant and a bit short tempered. :redface: I'll keep trying.

Ahh so much to do tomorrow around the house, but don't want to work too hard, cos Christmas day is jam packed! Ohhh but if the house is clean, I'll feel free to relax and do NOTHING on Boxing day...mmm. :)

Merry Christmas to anyone who doesn't pop on again til after Christmas! I'll probably pop in tomorrow though. :p

Ah Nelle- I know what you mean there, sometimes you have to tread fine line with family, gotta put them in there place sometimes while being careful about how you do it! Hey I should've got you to sing when we met up!

Maz- One of the mums in my mums group is german and she was telling me all bout German xmas. Thats what she misses most bout being here, she just moved here 2 years ago.

I had busy day at work today, all the patients (and the staff by end of shift) are either totally nutty or the biggest complainers in the world!

I spose Id better get used to being up in the early hours but man Id like to sleep without pain for a change.

Nothing much happening Shell, which is not surprising or annoying. Just alot of cramps and uncomfortableness.

Can't post too much, focussing all my energy on being in a childish mood at Rans. :p Poor man. I can't remember what I'm supposed to have cracked it about! I bet it was nothing, like he closed a drawer a bit too hard or something. Actually *lightbulb appears above Nelle's head* I'm STARVING. Bet that's why I'm being so grotty! Wonder if I've pushed my luck too much to have lunch made for me...lucky I'm an optimist, so will give it a shot anyway. :p

Were you having a pee break at that time Annat? Hope everyone's resting well, and breathing deep at rellys and pre-Christmas disasters and stresses! I'm hoping to settle down with Rans in front of the tv with some candles for the carols tonight - it's tradition. Well, that's the reason I give him for having to do it anyway. :D It's only really tradition because I say it is!

Supposed to be cleaning...like I said before, all my attention's been focussed on my pre-schooler-ness. I'd better recover soon, for the sake of the house! Wish me luck with lunch! :p

Im cooking my potato salad terrine as seen on chefs christmas foxtel! Caramalised leeks in it! yummo.
I have hurt myself,pulled a muscle in my bum.I stepped down wrong from astep and now it hurts.My dad has given me some panadeine forte and my sister gave me a massage on my sciatica.Lucky xmas drinks will numb it tommorow.
I also bought a avalanch slushy muchine for our coctails!!! Mmmm cant wait to start on the pina coladas.

The carols should be on now hey! Gonna tell Rans ENOUGH Guitar Hero on the xbox! :doh: The smoke alarm went off before - any guesses why - seriously, who puts bruschetta under the grill and then goes back to playing xbox! Funny ol chap. I did get my lunch and a juice before, and then he had a nap while I organised Riv's new room - feels good to have it done! I told him to think twice before feeling bad about not helping, because we will be even when I am too sore to walk tomorrow and he has to carry me everywhere! :D

And I do believe 7 Eleven is open even on Christmasses, and I am going to treat myself to a Christmas frozen coke! Hurrah!

It'll probably be a busy one for us tomorrow too (almost said busty one...) so a HUGE Merry Christmas to you precious girls and your families! For some of us, this is our second Christmas all together - here's to many more! :D

Anyway, like I was saying, carols, and mum brought over some mangos today, so I think that'll be our sticky dessert! :p xoxoxo (extra hugs and kisses cos it's Christmas Eve).

We've just finished putting Ashleigh's chairs and table set together, wrapped presents.
Plus we went out for a nice evening just had xmas eve BBQ at a friends place, just a few of us, was really quite nice and now I'm stuffed.

Poor me has to work tomor (joys of being a nurse) but at least I managed to get myself a 3pm start instead of 1pm. ;), So I'll get a bit of xmas lunch.

So to everyone I hope you all enjoy your day and eat and be merry!

Hope everyone had a great day yesterday!
We had a great day up at mum and dads.
Jesse got absolutely spoilt!!!!! But he loves it! And all his pressies!
For Christmas he got (from us, santa and family) a Fisher Price Rocking Horse, a Tonka Dump Truck, Elmo Pillow Book, Thomas Carry case full of trains, A remote control car that has lights and horn sounds, Little People Airport, Little People Pirate Ship, Bob The Builder Scoop Bulldoser, another car game thing where you hammer balls into the top and cars come flying out, a moon buggy bike, books, another ride on car, pyjamas.. um.. i think thats it. But oh he had an absolute ball yesterday with his cousins. Daddy set up his airport last night after he went to bed so he had it to come out to this morning and has not stopped playing with it and his Thomas trains.

From Jesse and DH i got my Cappacino machine!! WOO WOO! Have made us hot chocies on it so far. Have to go get some good coffee beans.
DH got a record player from me and Jesse which is great so now we can listen to all our old vinyls (The Beatles!). And we both got lots and lots from family too.

Was such a nice day to have my whole family together. We set up the camera and took a family shot. Theres now 15 of us in my immediate family.. next year there will be 16! It was the first time i think maybe every we've all been together because someones been working or something.

Anyways.. off to the IL's today for lunch.

I too hope everyone had a great day. J is a lot better than he has been, and didn't get up till 9am on Christmas day. That is very late for him. He has a huge bruise on his forehead tho. he was trying to run and tripped and faceplanted the floorboards. He was very upset. oh well it matched his cousin (who is also 1) who has a huge scab on his forehead from falling on the front door. So they looked great in photos!!

J too was spoilt rotten by his aunties and Nanna. His fave pressie has to be his Eurobike. He has gone for a ride around the neighbourhood. he also loves his Elmo Christmas DVD. I actually don't mind it either, as it actually has the story of the true meaning of Christmas on it.

My Christmas seafood buffet was a huge success. Just a shame it was too cold to sit outside! I am heading to the beach house for New Year. We leave Friday. So looking forward to that!

had a nice xmas day......but im exhausted cooked for 20 people, and CLEANED.......they have all just left and the kids are all in the pool......i think i need to sleep fo a week.

Meg - Too cold!? OMG, be glad you aren't in Perth then. It was over 40 degrees yesterday, and will be 41 today!

God thank god I'm not in 40 degrees. It must've been colder where you are Meg cause wasn't too bad here.

20 people! Omg Chrissy, you must be top chef! How'd you go organising all the food for so many?

Ness- Thats great your aunty got leave, we sent half our ward off on day leave, its great to get out of hospital to spend the day with loved ones.

Meg, whats been wrong with J? Glad to hear he is on the mend.

Maz- Ash does the same, she always copies us now and wants to do what we are doing.

Kell- Sounds like jesse did get spoilt, lucky boy. At least he'll be occupied for awhile with all those toys.

Anna- Xanders play area looks great. Ash got little sandpit too for xmas, just need the sand now.

We had nice xmas, til I had to go to work. I got to eat seafood part of the xmas dinner but missed the roast. (Did get some sent home for me though) Work got busy cause everyone came back from there day leave at the same time and one man was quite tipsy.

My tooth is giving me hell though. It broke like 5-6 weeks ago and I'm due in 4 weeks to have all wisdom teeth out but of course right over christmas it has decided to be reall painful, so been popping pills. Not too bad at moment, i just try avoid eating on that side.

Update from MAZ girls - shes in hospital, got a migrane and high BP and protein in the urine baby is good. Will let you know if anything else happens, keep watchin this space.

Spoke to Maz, they said her bloods came back fine and baby is fine and kicking as Maz was really worried as she couldnt feel Sunshine. So gave her some maxalon and asked her if she would like to go home or stay in and she opted for home so will be home resting now...

Im so tired so will be back later.

Yes - I took shells advice (See I do listen) and went to the hosptial. I dont like them much but was getting to worried with this dame headache and not feeling sunshine since last night. BP was 160/99 and had some protein in my urine but my bloods came back clear. I ended up throwing up in the sink there, which actually releaved me a bit but still have my headache. Ob said I could go home and rest seeing my appointment is tomorrow first thing.
Better safe then sorry...im not taking any chanches.

Anna - Jed is gonna set up the pool for the kids tomorrow if thats how hot its gonna be. $hit, Im gonna swell like a puffer fish!!!! You dont have your spa anymore either do you??? god...I LOVE the sandpit...that is fantastic woman!

Maz- Thats good everything came back clear, I'm glad you went in to check it out. Did your BP come down prior to discharge? You don't want that getting any higher. Just you make sure you do rest.

Belle- We are doing well, Ash is bit grumoy at times but I think cause her molar is half thru. How is everything with the pregnancy going? Has the m/s settled?

Nelle- Yes you are right the hot weather is coming her mon and tue!

J is much better, but sleeping much more. He is not getting up till at least 8:30 (used to be 7am) and having a 3 hour day sleep. Being a bit of a sook to get down at night tho.

I got bitten by a while tail spider yesterday. I picked up a book to read, and it jumped out of the cover onto my chest, then ran around and bit me on the finger. I screamed and ran out for the bug spray. When I got back I couldn't find it. Spotted it under the bed, and let loose with the spray. My finger is a bit sore, but so far alright. I am thinking we might get the house fumigated. We seem to have so many bugs and spiders here. I am not scared of spiders at all, but it worries me that J could have picked it up!

I will most likely be in bed before midnight..... or just on midnight! I am going up to our second holiday house in a place called Inverloch. Looking forward to it, as the weather forecast is for beach weather!

Ness- Has she had anything new? Maybe she's been biten by something, sounds like some sort of reaction to something if its covering everywhere. If its irritating her maybe cover her in calamine lotion for the time being.

Meg- Ouch, aren't thry poisonous? I am terrified of spiders.

New years my sister is going to come over and we'll just have few qyuiet drinks here and watch DVD or something, nothing major, haven't gone out for new years for few years now as last year Ash was baby, year before that I had to work.

Has everyone got there new year resolutions worked out? Mine this year is to stop leaving everything til the last minute.

Hi all just cleaning and getting things back to normal after the 2 days of festivities.We were at mum and dads with the pool. It was very hot and im glad we could cool off.We all got merry and swam,played cards and sang on my cousins singstar.I was the winner and the up and coming artist.lol Was really fun and i want one for myself but not really worth it as i have no one to do it with.My cousin has huge singstar parties.He is 24 mind you!!
Maz,i am glad everything turned out ok.Make sure to go back to the hospital if your worried.Just keep well physically and mentally.

AnnaT - I really dont think that it was your time and place for you to share Maz's news. Maz did tell me but I know she did not want me to share this news right now hence I didnt post. I have to say this as I am one of Maz's friends and she is so upset right now maybe you should have waited for Maz to log in to share her thoughts on this subject. This is a very sensitive subject for her as you would have realised from other discussions that you have seen and had in our thread. When Maz is ready to talk about it she will. She is very upset at the moment.

It was posted in our Due Date Buddies thread so I thought I would pass on the rest of the news. I didnt realise it was a secret. I can understand her feelings so I would never intentionally post something to upset her. I'll edit it out.

Just spoke to Maz girls, she wanted me to let you all you all know that she is home, she hasnt had the baby yet but will be back in hospy tomorrow for further monitoring and they will let her know where to go from there.
