Maz theres no way baby 3 is on its way.Ya gotta have sexual relations first and we are just too tired! Glad wilhems appointment went as well as can be expected. What happens now?
The stories are interesting! It was a great idea.
Nelle havnt recieved anything yet but hubby checking the mail today so i wait till he gets home. The dummy i put in ruby hadnt used.I got 2 in a pack and she doesnt like any dummy so i have to take the crying.I thought it was pretty unique looking and i see babies in the usa have some similar when prem.
Aust post are taking a long time with parcels, mine are taking forever that i got from ebay.(more scrapping supplies)
I just had some friends over with their kiddies, millana is asleep and im still waiting for the delivery of my phone!!! Grrrr
-
Charli - nothing yet. I'm not suprised, postage is always delayed coming up here
maz - that's good that he's been diagnosed with those and you know what you're dealing with. Where do you go from here? I had a speech disorder up until I was 4 or 5. I simply could not talk. I went to a Speech Therapist for a few years and all cured now.
Hello to everyone else, love you all, but I've got to continue cleaning. Rellies coming tomorrow
-
maz- you and your son must be exhausted after such a long assessment! My nephew was diagmosed at 3.5 with medium autism, next month he'll be 5 and he's been reassessed as high functioning so all that early intervention has helped him so much, we are amazed at times at how far he has come. He still lags behind other kids his age in speech and social skills but has improved 1000%.
Pip- 10 hours! You lucky thing, that seems like something i can only dream about. Can't complain too much, Ashleigh usually gives me one long sleep, 5.5 hours.
*Belle*- Good to hear from you. Hope julia settles for you. Good luck with the baptism tomor. Still have to plan Ashleigh's.
Well i met up with my mothers group for coffee today. Was good to get together outside of the planned sessions we have. Gave us a good chance to get to know each other and just chat. They all seem really nice, we're going to try to meet regularly each friday. I'm very happy, was so nice to get out the house do normal things and can chat about our babies without boring anyone.
-
Yes Sharle, got it today! Will try it on tonight, haven't had a chance so far, just been one of those days with Mr. Grizzle here. Though he's asleep now, on his tummy in his cradle...which reminds me I should check on him.
Well, guess a moving mouth means he's alive. Probably dreaming about feeding :p
Glad it's all over Maz-a-mataz! What a relief.
Yeah Sharle (hey tell me off if you don't like that name, I'm such a nicknames person, but I'd hate to call you something you don't like, I hate that!) I'm thinking about going platinum too, when I get the baby bonus (they said within 28 days...but I'm assuming they say that to cover themselves if it's a bit slow, I'm praying for it to come FAST!! I want to spend money!!).
Do you get a say in what your avatar looks like?
Oh Maz, what a great idea to print off the stories, I love how different we are, we all have such different things to contribute, and how we can all be great mates and care about each other...ohh *sob sob* I love you guys! :p
Oh, should do my story hey!
Well, hmm. Nothing dramatic really, sorry guys!
I'm Nelle, married to my best friend Rans (Randall). He's 24 and I'm 22 (almost 23!)
I met him through his younger brother, who was one of my best friends. We started smsing each other Oct 02, started dating Nov 02, got engaged July 03, got married Feb 04! So we've almost been married 3 years now.
He works in pre-press in the printing industry, I still haven't finished my BSocSc - Youth Work! Partly because I failed lots of subjects cos I'm undisciplined, and partly because I studied part time while I worked as a youth worker. I guess when I've finished having kids, and the youngest is in school, I'll get back into it, or something else.
We don't own a house, and intend to start saving any day now...
I was on the pill, didn't realise how much it affected my sex drive, so after a break of two fun weeks, River happened, haha. We both want 3 or 4 kids (so far!)
What else...we live in Melbourne's eastern suburbs, I'm a Christian, I love frozen coke...actually I feel like one now...
-
nelle - you'll get to create your own avatar. Have fun with the design!
shell - It's good to get out and be normal again isn't it. Having said that though, I do go out almost everyday and meet either my mum or a girlfriend for lunch every second day! I love socialising ... staying at home bores me too much.
I agree, this is great getting to know everyone on more of a personal basis.
-
I was saying to Jase I wish there was a mothers group out here, so I could meet some mums I am so lonely, well in the little local free rag there was mention of one, but ti is all obout breatfeeding and nutrition it says it is informative get togethers, with the focus on breatsfeeding :(
why couldn't they just have a normal get together :(
well Jack and I just woke from a 2 hour sleep then had a shower together I think I got a smile when the water splashed on him *love* and now Jase is feeding him whil,e I am supposed to be fixing pizza for tea
so catch ya alll later

Well guys just a quickie and TMI territory.
There have been a few reasons I am not on here much at the moment. We are/have bought a block of land and I am busy dealing with lawyers etc and finding out info on buikding. Also dealing with insurance due to storm damage.
Plus TMI but for those who know Bella's birth story about 3rd degree tears, I have torn again. I had bee constipated, so had a huge poo and it tore open the scarring aroung my anus again, so I am in a bit of pain a every time no. 2 time comes I bleed heaps because I keep re-tearing. Although it is getting better now, except now I am getting an itchy ass LOL. But more embarassing I am having trouble controlling my wind again, thankfully no smelly slip ups. This last few days I am noticing it better under control. So at the moment I feel like I am dealing with both kinds of births as my c/s scar is extremely sensitive and feels bruised.
Thanks for the vent. BBL for personals.

Owwww Helen  HOW ANNOYING!!
How much does birth/babies muck us up!
I have nothing quite as bad, just owie nipples from thrush and I'm super irritated. I really hope it continues to heal and that you don't get too down about it.
-
Yow helen! i have heard and seen women with fistulas and such from child birth too, just watch some of us will have continant problems oneday! If any of you are redheads you have more chance of bladder problems due to less elastin in your genes than us! So do those pelvic floors.
I have a sore neck.I need a massage.
Anyways i bought hubby walk the line dvd so weill probably watch that tonight if ruby's not a turd!
Tata girlies!
-
:hugs: Helen
well I am too am suffering from both mybirths tonight too, it is raining so m y tailbone which I damaged during Katy's birth is palying up, and my c-scar is hurting as well :( real sore and yes feeling bruised as well
also I am getting sick I have the worse sore throat :( and I am cold and miserable so night all
-
Just popping in quickly to wish Belle all the best for Julia's baptism tomorrow.... we want pics!!!
Awwww thanks Maz - I reckon Xander is just scrummy, but as I am his Mummy I am allowed to be unashamedly biased!
It's comforting to hear that others are having issues with our bodies not being the same after birth. I still feel a bit bruised in the pelvis at times. Nothing serious or painful, but just there IYKWIM? Wow Caddie, I never knew that about redheads... that's really weird (but interesting). Hopefully we will all start feeling better again... or are things just never the same again?
Gotta fly, my little munchkin is a bit restless... better resettle him before he wakes properly.
BBL
-
Good morning all.
I hope everyone had a good night.
Caddie - did you watch the movie? was it good?
Helen - Owwie on the tear. You poor thing. big hugs
Anna - now you go and tease me and show me close up of Xander...ahhh I love baby boys.
Hello to everyone else.
Thank you again for all your support yesterday. NOw that we have the diagnoisis (spell $hit) we can get aid workers for WiLhelm for school and funding for items that may help him, eg, we recently got funding for a 3 wheeled bike for him cause he was using one at his special school adn we noticed the confidence boost he got from it. Since we got it, he decided that he no longer wanted to wear nappies. So it was a big plus fo rhim. I feel releived now and I dont feel as tense now. thank god.
Better go Elephant is calling...$hit!

Anna mate I gotta agree with Maz - Xander's a cutie! There sure are some cute kiddies in Sept buddies!
Let me share about last night:
Well, actually yesterday River was a bit of a pain (although I'm so much more forgiving since the choking scare) and he kept wanting to feed. Fed him at 12pm and then 2pm (he spewed heaps of his 2pm feed) and FINALLY got him to sleep at 4:30 - and then he slept til 10! Finished feeding at 11, he next woke up at 4ish, down at 5 til 9:30! Wow.
What sleeping! So he'll probably be a pain today too :)
Finally sorted out the Baby Bonus stuff out yesterday, they said 'within 28 days' but I'm guessing (hoping praying) that's just to cover themselves so we don't call them if it's a little slow.
I've just been chilling out, am more relaxed because I'm trying to trust Rans with River (as in not getting up with Rans to change nappies/settle 'just in case he needs some help' :p) and Rans doesn't leave him to cry too long because I can't sleep if he's wailing about something. And now the boys are hanging out in front of the xbox, and I'm still in bed with the laptop!
Apart from that, I don't really have anything to say, hope everyone's going to have a great weekend!
-
Morning all.
Our baby bonus and birth certificate didn't take too lon at all, I think Baby bonus maybe 2 weeks and Birth Certificate 3 weeks. Might vary from state to state.
maz- glad its all sorted and your getting that extra funding for Wilhelm at school and everything.
Helen.p- Ahh you poor thing! I hope that pain and suffering passes soon.
Rach75- Maybe you could advertise around to start a mothers group yourself? You could ask your MCHN about it and maybe ask her to see if other mothers with children close to Jack's age if they'd be interested.
jodi_lee- I'd love to go out for lunch's more often but being the first in my group of friends to have a baby means they are all at work and my mum also works full time so its me on my lonesome in the day!
So how much does it cost to go Platinum? I should look into it.
-
Nelle - I waited 28 days for my payment. It drives me nuts knowing we have to wait for something that were intitled to. If we owed them $ they'd want it yesterday. I absolutely love that outfit River has on..you have to share were did you get it from? He just looks scrummy.
Sharleen - I hate b.d. and marriages. I had to send back NIkloaus's birth certificate 4 times cause they kept spelling it with a v.
shell - go plat mate. And if I lived closer, we'd be doing lunch or even just a coffee once a week. I feel for you that all your friend work etc. Maybe us Melbourne girls should have a get together some time. I dont mind driving.
just down loading some new pics of Vy on the pic site. It takes for ever. Have a ticky if ya want.
better go and put away my garderning tools. I got a ton of woodchips delivered and now Ive gotta clean up before Jed gets home.
later

PMSL-Sharleen Christhopper. Thanks for your thoughts. Hope the baptism went well today Belle. Eithan's sleeping and Bella is at mum and dad's so I am off to tidy my pigsty of a house.
Love
-
Maz- We do need to plan a lunch sometime for everyone in melb, it would be great to all get together and actually meet each other in person after we've all been chatting for so long on here.
Okay, I've signed up to go Platinum, just got yearly one for now.
God if BD&M making these stuff ups I'd better double check Ashleigh's certificate.
-
Hi ladies back in again for another quickie. I have just loaded the dishwasher, tidied the kitchen, put some clothes on to dry, put some towels on to wash, tidied the bathroom and cleaned the loo, also tidied up Bella's toys and the lounge room, so I am going to take 5 for myself before I feed Eithan.
Firstly, WOW look at everyone's new tickers, your babies are all just sooooo gorgeous. Love the sunnies on Ambah, Sharlene.
Maz-Glad to hear you will be getting more support for Wilhelm.
Rach-Hugs to you too, what a pain in the butt these pains all are. oh and Anna too.
Nelle-Glad to hear River is sleeping well.
To those of you who have babies with middle names - do you use it when talking to your baby? We do every now and again as we want him to know both of his names as a good thing, not just when we growl. As I know my middle name was only used when I got growled at when growing up.
Yah to those going platinum. Secretly, I did it for the Avatar. That's the best I've looked in years LOL. Although she forgot to add glasses, but that's ok I wont worry as Kathryn has a lot on her plate at the moment.
Caddie-yep red heads skin sucks. I only heard after I had Bella that this is a common problem with redheads. They said that my skin just shattered. What fun and games. NOT. Anna as far as getting back to normal. I got back to normal after 3-4months and even sex was better than before. I just think that after birth you sometimes get painful days. A bit like an achy old broken bone when the weather gets cold. Apart form the recurring tear- which is an obvious sign. I sometimes get knife like pains shooting up my hoohoo(i tore there aswell, sigh). But there is no longer anything wrong there. I hope you feel better soon.
Belle- sorry I havent been in contact I have lost my mobile phone and I cant ring it to find where it is because I think it;s gone flat.
Oh well better go, sorry I missed so many of you. Eithan's ready for his feed.
Love

Hi all! Firstly i have looked at your pics maz and vyolett is so beautiful! You must be so proud and Sharlene, ambah does have a gorgeous smile and cute sunnies to boot! I have upated my ticker and homepage. The ticker doesnt do justice to ruby's blue eyes though!
Helen i use middle names but only really with millana,i sometimes ad the jean or i have called her jeanies too on odd occasion! Ruby is just rubykins!
I just have been to target and got myself some casual clothes with bday money and some toys for kids bday and christmas. Aaron looked after ruby and i took millana for some 1-1 girl retail therepy! Then we came home and we took the cot out of millana's room and put in ruby's to introduce day sleeps. We had to take the whole thing apart to get it through the door.
She cant sleep in there at nite yet as she wakes too ofetn and will wake millana up.Ruby wants milk 3hrly on the dot and wakes for it.I wish shed stretch it out abit!

Hi all,
I've added a few pics to my website for you to check out and updated my signiture, thought I'd put up the breastfeeding one.

as for maternity payments I got mine I think within 3 weeks max as I have already had another payment but no birth certificate yet
Caddie I use Jacks middle name quite regulary I am always sayign Jack robert what ya doing LOL
ok better choof off was helping Jase with extention but jack was stirring so wanted to have shower first and now he is sound asleep again *sigh*
-
Hi Girls...
Nelle - I agree with Maz, Riv's outfit is gorgeous! as is his clothie bubble bum!
Sharleen - Love Ambah's new sunnies... where'd you get those?
Wow... just scrolling through, so many have put up new piccies! What a gorgeous bunch of bubs we have made (aren't we clever!) Off to go look at the updated websites now.
Maz - Great to hear that you will be getting some more help with Wilhelm
Helen - How is Eithan's reflux going? Xander's seems to have settle a fair bit, no where near as bad as it was... but still there a little bit. I get those shooting pains up my hoohoo too, was wondering what they were.
Gotta fly, Xander is screamin for some more tucker.

Hi Ladies
It's been a while since I posted in these forums. I was posting in the september mummies thread and since I have now become a mummy Ithought I better start posting in here :) .
Our darling Emma Cate was born on 16 September 2006 at 10.58 weighing 7lb 7oz, 50.5cm long and head size 33cm.
Looking forward to getting to know you all
Sarah

Why hello SK
Welcome back...thse girls talk so much, its hard to keep up!!
-
Hi all. I've been posting in Oct bubs to stay in contact with my belly buddies but seeing as Thomas actually arrived in Sep I thought I'd pop in and join you all as well. Thomas was due on Oct 19 but arrived 3.5 weeks early on Sep 25 after a 3 hour labour.
I have enjoyed reading all your life stories. I am Melanie and must be the oldest here as I am 37 as is DH Glenn. We met in 1986 and started going out in 1987. We married in 1993. We are both IT consultants although I am on Maternity leave and hoping not to go back. We moved from Melb to Brissy in 1997. We travelled a lot and then started TTC. After 9 months Jack was conceived and born Feb 12 2005. Then Tom came along 25/09/06. Two was going to be it but we are considering one more LOL. We both love scuba diving although I haven't been out diving since falling pg with Jack. DH works as a dive instructor as a hobby job on weekends.
THere is 19 months between the boys so life is busy. THOmas has been very windy and we have some bad nights and days which doesn't help. THis is probably justice as Jack was a very easy baby. He slept 6.5 hours the second night home and was sleeping through the night by 6 weeks. He is still an easy child and so good although I can see the terrible twos just starting to creep in! Oh well, it will be a long time before I'm bored again!
I'm looking forward to getting to know you all better.
-
Hi Sarah, and welcome Mel! The oldest huh? How old are you Chrissy? Are you the same age or a year younger, I can't remember off the top of my head. AnnaT beats me to the youngest - She turned 21 earlier this year, and I turn 23 this month!!
YES! Us Vic girls should totally meet up, if people want to make a weekend of it, you're more than welcome to crash at mine (you might want to even wait til my baby bonus comes in, because I want to buy a cheap futon for when people stay over, and someone could christen it!) Where is central for us? Maz & AnnaT live near Shep?, I (and Sarah if I remember correctly) are in the east, Shell's south east suburbs? Where's Merrie? Where's Werribee ChrissyT, I get all the W places mixed up :p Anyone I forgot?
Riv got his outfit from a mate from church (in fact, her older sister is Chocolatecatty who had her baby last month), so I'll have to ask her tomorrow where she got it! Contrary to my predictions, he slept a lot of today too, so I wonder how tonight will go...? I really should just give up trying to predict these things!
Rach, I think my mother's group will also be about learning things, but that might be a nice ice-breaker and then we could hang out at other times. But at least with a 'learning' situation, if you don't connect with them, it's not quite as awkward if you decide not to hang out anymore?
Caddie, I say River Jude all the time. My mum used my full name when she was exasperated with me (when she was reeeally mad, all she said was 'right' through clenched teeth...you knew to run for the hills then ). I find it funny now. Found it funny then too, which got me into a fair bit of trouble! I'm one of these awful people who giggle when I'm in trouble. I just can't help it..the moment I think 'I can't laugh, I can't laugh...' it's all over.
I'd heard that about red hair too! My hair's pretty dark in winter, but in summer it goes much more ginger, guess the sun bleaches it more red? I resigned myself to tearing because of that.
We have 90 days to register our babies right? :o
Oh Helen, I'll go platinum just for the avatar too! How funny.
And Sharle, how much do I owe you for the booby bib again? $20? Postage? I gotta tell you, last night I wore it, and I was soooooo comfy! Are you supposed to wash it daily?
My nipples are sooo sore, I stopped putting the Daktarin in Riv's mouth cos I was scared it was making him more mucousy, just been putting it on my nips, and they are so tender! I'm giving them a good ol air now, with Daktarin on (leaning back so milk doesn't drip out!). Mum reckons to get some sun on them too, cos yeast doesn't like the sun...
And River's sounding much less clogged up, so perhaps I can start it up again soon. Wonder it that's why he's sleeping so much? Because he's recovering? I sure hope so!
I'm worrying less as each night passes, which is a relief, because if I didn't get some sleep I would have turned into a zombie I reckon! And haunted you all....Do zombies haunt?
Oh, Pip, it was good to see you when you popped in by the way! Keep us posted on you!
Well, Rans want the laptop 'just for a second' (uh huh) to test something out, so I'd better relinquish it, since he was so lovely and bought me a frozen coke to have with tea :)
-
Nelle - I am 34, will write my life story soon..Werribee is between Melb and Geelong along the Princess Freeway.
-
-
Sharleen will be in agnes over xmas :)
had a good night *wooo* except piggy porker had 3 120ml bottle over a 4 hour period and he gobbled them down like no tomorrow LOL, must be that 6 week growth spurt they speak of
anyway he went down at 11pm woke at 3am had feed did god almighty poo LOL, and didn't wake till 7am now he wants cuddle time, and I am supposed to be helping jase with the extention roof, big toss up cuddle or work LOL I know which I prefer
welll looks like Jack is heading to the land of nod so might put him down and go help Jase
-
Ashleigh hardly slept yesterday, all evening she was on the boob and when she wasn't she was sucking her fist. I don't know if shes having a growth spurt or what. She was sucking my boobs dry!
Thing is she doesn't feed to well in the mornings cause of wind. She doesn't poo all night so morning feeds she is on and off constantly, wanting to eat then trying to fart/ poo once she's done like a million poos then she is on/ off boob to catch up! Maybe I should get her some wind drops or something to help her out a bit and it'll help me too cause it gets painful spending an hour with her on and off.
Welcome MelanieR,
Sarah Kate- Our bubs were exactly same weight and length except Ash was born 2 days after.
Yeah there are a few of us Vic girls. Not sure where would be a good place. Somewhere where we can fit all our bubs and prams!
I had an exciting night last night while Df went out drinking (not), I watched Willy Wonka, even at 28 its one of my fave movies and I still have a dream of one day having my own chocolate room!
-
Is that willy wonka with johnny depp? I was wondering wether to get that.Is it good?
-
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.
Love
-
Caddie- No the original one, was just on Tv, the new one is okay but just can't live up to the original.
-

Welcome to the mad house newies SArah and Mel
I hope that you had a fantastic day baptising Julia yesterday Belle. I cant wait to see some pics.
Caddie - oh I cant believe how gorgeous Ruby is looking. She's got the bluest eyes....we have all gotta be proude, God we breed them beautiful..lol.
Hello to all my fellow friends..having a positive day (probably cause I just ate some chocolate)
going into the gardern now
be back later to annoy you all
xxmaz
-
god, I can hear Ashleigh from here farting her head off! At least if she gets it all out she'll feed better. They are so long and loud!
-
:( I am so dissapointed right now, just rang the contact number for the mums meeting and asked how bf orrientated it would be seeing as the woman holding it is bf coordinator, and she is like well claudia is very pro bf, ummm.........should be ok if ya dont bf, well I felt like sayign is it or isn't it :(
so have decided not to go
am going to go to can I say it here ??? huggies forum and ask for moura/bilo mums etc
-
Thanks for the welcome back girls
Yep, I am in the East and would love to go to a chat up with the Melbourne Mummies. Sounds like fun!
And if we are talking about age, I am turning dirty 30 this coming Wednesday and I am letting it slip past in the night
-
Shellbelle - You could try giving Ashliegh around 10-20mls of colled boiled water before her feed in the morning (the one before she starts grunting and trying to fart etc).
Paige is always trying to fart and poo after her 3am feed...so we are all pretty much awake after 4am. I am trialling this suggestion before i try the colic drops...as a lot of the colic drops contain alcohol.
The water is apparently heavier than the milk and air bubbles so works to oush the air up and out...so she may burp a lot of the wind up instead of trying to fart/poop it out later.
HTH
-
I suppose in one way I am lucky as Jack always manages to poop at least twice a day, but the one which is bugging me is the 3am one LOL, I will change him feed him and he grunts groans kicks the legs and sure enough he has pooped during the feed, I have taken to putting a disposable on him when I change him fo rthis feed LOL so much easier to clean up
-
Hello ladies, just popping in to say Hi! Only a few more days (hopefully) until the car arrives and we can get started on our new life in Albury.
