god, I can hear Ashleigh from here farting her head off! At least if she gets it all out she'll feed better. They are so long and loud!
:( I am so dissapointed right now, just rang the contact number for the mums meeting and asked how bf orrientated it would be seeing as the woman holding it is bf coordinator, and she is like well claudia is very pro bf, ummm.........should be ok if ya dont bf, well I felt like sayign is it or isn't it :(
so have decided not to go
am going to go to can I say it here ??? huggies forum and ask for moura/bilo mums etc
Thanks for the welcome back girls
Yep, I am in the East and would love to go to a chat up with the Melbourne Mummies. Sounds like fun!
And if we are talking about age, I am turning dirty 30 this coming Wednesday and I am letting it slip past in the night
Shellbelle - You could try giving Ashliegh around 10-20mls of colled boiled water before her feed in the morning (the one before she starts grunting and trying to fart etc).
Paige is always trying to fart and poo after her 3am feed...so we are all pretty much awake after 4am. I am trialling this suggestion before i try the colic drops...as a lot of the colic drops contain alcohol.
The water is apparently heavier than the milk and air bubbles so works to oush the air up and out...so she may burp a lot of the wind up instead of trying to fart/poop it out later.
HTH
I suppose in one way I am lucky as Jack always manages to poop at least twice a day, but the one which is bugging me is the 3am one LOL, I will change him feed him and he grunts groans kicks the legs and sure enough he has pooped during the feed, I have taken to putting a disposable on him when I change him fo rthis feed LOL so much easier to clean up
Hello ladies, just popping in to say Hi! Only a few more days (hopefully) until the car arrives and we can get started on our new life in Albury. Im looking forward to it actually, everyone keeps telling me how beautiful it is plus 2 of Dh's workmates have wives and kiddo's. One has son just 6 days older than our Jett and she is my age too. So I wont be nigel no friends lol
I have gone a little nuts without all your sane influences.......................................
Im contemplating TTC our 2nd bub by the time Jett is 1
I know could I be anymore nuts!!!!!!!!
Someone tell me its a silly idea.............................................. ....
Be back later for a better update, dinner is ready!
sharleen - I won't be in Bundy for a while again. Probably not until my parents clear out their furniture which is in storage. I'll probably go down then and meet up with you. It will be in early in the new year.
Rach - I've recently joined that forum too
welcome Sarah Kate & MelanieR
I've just counted 23 of us in this group!!
gotta go, everyone is hungry and is looking at me to do something
anna - yes you're going crazy!!! You need to get on here more often so you don't think silly thoughts like that lol
that's great that you're not going to a nigel in your new town. How was the move?
AnnaT- oh god Anna you are nuts! Well at least they'd be close in age and could be best of friends. Its funny cause I was just saying to Df today as a joke that i was ready to start now for the next one cause I want them to be best friends, think i scared him.
ChrissyT- I should start giving her bit of water again, I did that for her when she was about 3 weeks old had to use a dropper and prolly only managed to get a ml in, maybe now shes a bit older she may take more.
Hello girls,
was thinking bout joining baby buddies as my son Stewart was born 19th Sept and would love to hear how other people are going with their Sept babies. We have had up's and down's so far. Still trying to get the whole routine thing sorted out.
Panna
Anna we will be TTC #2 well offically #3 when Jack is 6 mths if we aren't already
:wavey: Panna
I don't know how I'd cope with another so soon, I think sometimes it'll be nice to wait til #1 is at school so I have the day to spend with #2 then. We will wait and see. Df doesn't want to wait to long cause he keeps saying he is getting too old.
Hi Panna, welcome to our group.
You guys are nuts! LOL... I aint doing this again! hehehe
Hhmmmmm # 3 would be nice, but I'm getting to old (just for me IYKWIM) the liklihood of it happenibng is minimal though.......
Hope everyone is getting good sleep. We are stil on a 3 hour or so schedule, and hanging out for more sleep at night. I feel so useless during the day, because every opportunity I have, I nap instead of housework, playing with DD and even socialising with DH........Let alone having the energy to DTD!!
See you later!!!!
Hi, and welcome Panna! Wow, we are a MASSIVE group now, I totally have no hope of keeping up with everyone now! But I'll try my best, I promise.
LOL girls, no I don't think you're crazy AnnaT! Rans and I aren't sure when we'll try for the next, don't think we'll wait tooo long, all I've said is that I don't want to be breastfeeding and pregnant at the same time. I reckon we'll be looking at a similar timeframe to you though AnnaT, since we're currently (but who knows what will change) aiming for 3 or 4 (Rans says 'at least') of the little delights. And I'd like to give birth to the last before I'm 70 :)
Dad and I visited his mum (my 90 year old Nan) with River after church today. It felt really special, the 4 generations of us spending some time together. I took a few photos of Nan & Riv with my mobile, they're on the photo site (in my profile) if you want a looksee. She's the jolliest old lady I know, she knows her mind is starting to go and she doesn't make sense, but she thinks it's kinda funny :p
Hope everyone's had a nice and relaxing Sunday! xo
Nice to see Im not the only loony contemplating TTC ;)
It really shocked me that I felt this way considering I hated being pregnant but I dont know, I just have this urge to have another one. Jett isnt even sleeping through the night yet so its still hectic routine wise. I worry about leaving to much of a gap because of the loooooooooooooooooooooong time it took us to get Jett. Plus I want to study and work, so if I dont have another one til Jett is 4 or 5, I will be 30 before I get to work. We're young enough that we can have two in the next 3 years, have a good 3 or 4 years of me working then have another one or two before Im 30 if we want more. Dh is umming and ahhing about it so its still under discussion................
We are doing great, slowly getting a routine and possibly heading into more than 3 hours of sleep at a time (we managed 4 hours blocks last night with one feed in between!) He is such a good baby, with a great little personality already. He smiles at nothing alot and it isnt wind because he does it more than once lol He is rocking when he is on his tummy, Im scared he's going to start crawling before Im ready :cryinglaugh: Im guessing he weighs about 9lbs now, getting to be such a porker!
As for me, well I weighed myself the last week and Im 61kgs. Not bad but not what I was, so Im thinking of starting Weight Watchers to lose min 5kgs. The stretchies are fading but the tummy is still jelly-like so its sit ups time for moi. Other than that I feel fantastic, better than I did pre-pregnancy, motherhood is pretty empowering and confidence building iykwim?
Hope everyone is doing fab! Oh Melb ladies, I would love to be in on a meetup if its a few weeks away. If thats not doable I'll be in on the next one for sure.
Only 4 more days til we move in YAY!
