OMG, it is soooooo hot here today.
My mum was just telling me that Emerald has been declare as a disaster zone with all the flooding, and that's where all her family live (my grandparents, aunties, uncles etc). They've had to evacuate their homes, but they can't evacuate the town cause the roads are all blocked by floods.
maz - we haven't had any rain up here for ages. It only came as far north as Townsville unfortunately.
rach - you're doing a great job by the sounds of things. Did she end up having a sleep in the end?
annat - you're also doing a fabulous job.
meg - that's great that J self settled with his day sleep. Did he sleep for long?
belle - how'd you go today?
-
I seen the flooding of emerald on the news.Looks awful.Soooo much water.Has it gone over the levies?
Well ruby had 20mins. She went to sleep then millana went in and woke her.Grr,scream!!!
Now im cooking tea because later on it will be the house of terrers.

-
woohoo, great news belle!!!

great news belle!!!!!!!!!

Well big day wedding dress shopping today, we went into so many stores and she tried on so many dresses. And of course the first dress she tried on for the day was the one she ended up going back getting. I said that would happen. But she did look so gorgeous in it. But so tiring being on feet all day. I feel like expert though helping her in and out of the dresses.
Belle- Good to hear those results came back good.
Ness- Yay on the sewing. I'm loving my new sewing machine, haven't made anything yet just been practising the different stitches and tensions and things.
Jodi- thats awful, hope they are alright. I hope they are all safe and keeping dry. Hopefully to they don't lose too much of there possesions because of it.
AnnaT- Do you have a sling or something? That could be handy for those times when he doesn't want to be out down, at least then you can have your hands free, otherwise I suggest go for a walk, does he like being in the pram? I remember Ash would just go off to sleep as soon as we moved.
Happy Birthday Laurin!
I'll be up early tomor. Gotta be at the hospital by 7am for my wisdom teeth taking out. Then I'll be bruised, batted and in alot of pain!
-
Sharls - thanks for the pep talk, made me feel a whole lot better! I honestly dont know how YOU did it with two 10mths apart, Im thankful Jett is a little independent and we have some communication going, not that its always clear lol
So today wasnt as bad a day as I thought it would be, I managed a shower (with Jett for company) and when J napped Ripley settled in his bassinette after a huge poo which could explain the fussiness so I vacuumed and tidied up. Ry got let off early so we went into town and picked up my eternity ring (looks very sparkly on my finger!) and had KFC for lunch. I still feel weird BF in public though cause Im terrified of someone being offended so I stupidly put off Ripley's afternoon feed so he screamed the whole way home. Never again am I doing that, Im just going to pop a boob out and feed him as discretely as possible, stuff anyone who gets offended.
Shell, I do have a sling AND a baby bjorn but my back has been a bit sore since I had him so after awhile it kills me and I have to take him out. I did think of it today and will probably give it a go next time he gets unsettled. He's been sleeping well today so Im hoping its just a phase thats passed on for now. Thanks for the suggestion!
Great news on the results Belle.
Good luck for tomorrow Shell!
Happy birthday Laurin!
Maz, Mat is just gorgeous, I love your ticker pic!!!!
Better go I have a nakey toddler running around wet from a shower and he WILL pee soon if I dont wrestle a nappy on him.
-
Annat, I got better as time went on, and I got more confident with b/fing so felt I could do it better in public. But at the start, I would just use a muslin wrap to help hide or get Rans to sit strategically. :) Many chicks just pop bub on, no fuss, and it's so quick that you don't see anything anyway - I'm sure in my efforts to be modest I made it harder than I needed to be!
I thought of the sling too, but forgot to type it. Definitley a baby carrier could help during those moments when Rip just wants to be close to you.
Did I say I got a fridge today?! Well, it will probably come next week, and Rans needs to go in for me later this week to pay the rest, but I chose it! It's a side by side, with hardly any drawers - didn't want drawers cos there's no need - Rans said from the money I saved getting a 'no frills' fridge, a bit can go towards a few more tupperware fridge containers, which I'd prefer anyway! I'm trying to be sensible, cos I don't have ALL the baby bonus to spend, just some. So I have to make it stretch!
-
AnnaT- I too was very shy to begin with when BFing in public but got to a point of 'who cares'. Plus it is quite discreet anyways cause bubs head covers up anything. I used to just wear loose fitting tops so it would half hang over anyway.
-
HI guys, I have only skip read through so sorry if I miss heaps.
Belle-That's great news.
Nelle-New fridge? that's great now just to reorganise.

Maz- i have no idea how you do it, i just spent the last 2-3 hrs cutting and pinning nappies. I manahed to get enough material for 9 small and 15 medium. woohoo!! my back is killing me. Please tell me the cutting and tracing is the most time consuming bit!!
Kell- hope you are having fun at bon jovi!!!

cant wait to hear the news helen.
annat, it does get better hun, my 2 boys are 13 months apart, and when tim was born sean was still waking 5 times a night, i dont think i slept for years, and silly me got preganant again, so i had 3 kids under 3, and guess who was the one that decided to sleep all night long first, it was nicole the newborn..go figure, but it is extremely hard, with lack of sleep but there is light at the end of the tunnel.
just won some new cloth nappies on ebay for our little man:)
-
AnnaT- Poor Jett has had alot to adjust to, hopefully the sleeping will get better soon. BUt keep up the good work. It is hard!
Helen- ok its tomorrow, what is the news. I am dying to know. are you pg???
Belle- thats great about you scan!!!!
Well i am getting the girls ready for daycare, my first day without Annika and while I am looking forward to some peace, I am getting a bit sad. Teleah is so excited about having Annika go with her, dont think she realises yets they are in dif rooms but Teleah can go visit her when ever she wants.
Well i better go, Teleah had been going on about daycare since 6;30 this morning.

AnnaT - I was like Shell with the Bf. And to be honest, I didn't care if I had to get 'em out. I tried to be a discrete as possible tho.
Kell - How was B Jovi?
Off to work now.
Catchya all later...
-
Just so you guys dont keep checking back in there wont be any news until after 5pm, maybe earlier but I wouldnt check before then just incase.
Hope you have a great night Kell.
Love
-
well Kelly :)waiting
Helen oohhh secrets ;)
well my little girl seemed a bit better this morning we did have one moment when Jack sat on her  and when he left room but I calmed her down quickly and she is now down for nap, she started to crak up and went down to hall to room so fixed her up and not a peep from her I checked once and she was awake just laying there checked her 5 min later and out to it
so Jack is all fed, showered and had bottle, so when she wakes I can give her 100% attention yesterday Jack was just about to have bath when she woke so I had to put her down to catch him which is when it all started so hopefully by having him all fixed she will be AOK:pray:

MORNING!!
Just got home!!!!!
Spent the night in RICHIE'S ROOM!!!!!!!!!
The show was soooooo gooooddddddd!!!!!!!! OMG! I have been to many concerts in my time and would have to say so far that was the best!!! Better than any of their previous shows too!
We got there at about 7pm, lined up for merch which took forbloodyever! Got to the front (with a lot of pushing) and they had sold out of practically everything! Shirts were $60 each! so just got a program which was $25. They came on at about 8.30pm.. oh Richie was soooooo hot! Yeh Jon wasnt too bad himself either!! We were about 20 rows from the front so was a pretty good view too! Richie even sung himself! Which i was mighty happy about. During that song Jon disappeared then all of a sudden appeared on a little platform about 5 people to our left!!!!! He sung a few songs there then over came Richie!! OHHHH YEH! They went back and rocked on for a while longer. Show ended just before 11.30pm so 3 hours was pretty awesome! And i must admit Jon must be pretty damn fit! He was jumping around all night and didnt stop (kinda like me ). We had swear pouring off us.. it was soooo good. Chels and i had the best night.
Am waiting for my camera battery to charge so i can upload some photos.
-
helen - can't wait to hear the news. You sound so much more positive, so it must be a good thing.
ETA: just noticed your location says 'duff' ... hhhmmmmmm....
kel - that's great you had a good night.
Can't for the life of at me remember what everyone else said.
My family got out of Emerald, they're in Rocky now. All their houses are flooded. My aunty & uncle only built theres about a year ago, so that's a bit sad for them.
Nina's demanding that I get off the computer. bbl.
-
Thanks girls!
Helen will be watchin for your news!

Nina just scared the living daylights out of me. I was doing the dishes, and had the cupboard door open (it is usually locked). I turned my back for a second, and when I turned back around Nina was sitting on the floor drinking the washing detergent out of the bottle like water. And she had bubbles foaming from her mouth!! I quickly rung the hotline and they said to just rinse out her mouth, the worst that could happen is she'll vomit. But man, did I nearly have a heart attack. Thank god it was only the detergent, and nothing more serious. I try and keep that cupboard locked at all times, for that reason! Little devil she is.
I just booked Heath in to see yet another specialist with regards to his manly problems downstairs. His op last year didn't fix the job. So that was $5k down the drain, not to mention the loss of income. aaarrrrgggghhhhhh!!!!
And did I mention that Heath got promoted when he went back to work after holidays. He's now Purchasing Officer for the company, rather than just being a boilermaker. So he gets off the tools finally, gets a company car during work hours and an office! woohooo! But the biggest bonus is that he gets a huge payrise.
He kinda freeked when we got home from holidays and realised we'd spent $3k while away. His fault for buying me a laptop for xmas. hehehe.
I've got a friend coming over soon with her little 4 month old. I haven't seen him since he was 1 week old. So I bet he's changed heaps. Suppose I'd better got and make the house look respectable or something.
-
jodi, gee i hoipe nina is ok, but i did have a little chuckel at her foaming from the mouth.,as for heath and his downstairs department since craig had his heart attack, it hasnt been the same since, poor block, he told the doctor last week he has gone from a ferrari to a EH holden;)
