Another quiet saturday in here.
Ash is still awake singing away in her cot. I put her to bed over an hour ago! She did this last week too and started sleeping later, we just fixed her back to normal times and now she's started up again.
Ness your sewing talk is getting me motivated, I have patterns I've cut out for things but just need to go get the material. Maybe I should pop down to spotlight tomor.
Shell- Yeah my brain has been working over time with what else i want to make!!!
Well we had people over for dinner and it was nice to have some company. But now i am bored and dont know whether to get my sewing machine out, cause once i get started i may not stop and i dont want to of a later night.

Helen - I am so hoping and praying that your little ones are snug and safe and were they are suppose to be. Ive been thinking of you flat out honey...Im sorry I havent said anything before...bought back some memories and didnt know the words to say to you. I just hope that they are ok and that you can stay as positive as you can. I'll be thinking of you until you get the word that they are alright. I hope that you and Leigh can stay strong through this and that Leigh is coping with this in his best man's manner. Men always seem to get forgotten at times like this and I think we often forget it takes 2 people to make a baby-babies.

We HAVE been quiet in here today! Hehe, do we have lives or something! I'm getting a bit Obsessive Compulsive with my nesting, AND bub is punching or headbutting my cervix! Neither of those things happened with Riv. One is exhausting, and the other is a bit ouchy!
Fridge came today, so, that meant the cupboards needed rearranging and the washing machine needed a clean? Hehe. Pulled out all the nb clothes today too...can I hear you say awwww? Some stuff River didn't even fit into, big boofa that he was! Hope this one's a little shorter!
Caddie, the beach sounds excellent for tomorrow! Hope you guys have a great time! Will it be hot there?
You girls and your sewing! :redface: Though I cleared all Ran's cables/random junk off my sewing table today, just swept it all into a plastic bag. All his junk's in the new baby's room, we have a deal that if it's not cleaned by the end of Monday, I get ALL his pocket money! I'm torn...I really want things clean...but I DO like shopping. :p I might try and nick into Spotters tomorrow for a bit of a looksee.
Belle, hope that the m/s is almost at it's end! M/S bites, doesn't it. Huge sympathy from me.
Mum and Dad brought chocolate over, but I don't feel like it at all! I'm actually really thirsty.
Well just been to spotlight and spent $50 more than I expected to spend, but did get couple lots of material and things for my sewing kit, pins, thread, needles etc. The funny thing was I never realised how much material there is to pick from. I had no idea where to start looking or what kind material I was supposed to get so I just picked whatever hope its right!
Nelle- Any movement yet with the cleaning? Keep quiet bout it and maybe he'll forget so you can get his pocket money than nag him about it on Tuesday!
Maz- Hope all is going well, is he is BFing like a champ?
Ness- I bet you did get out your machine last night. Hopefully it wasn't too late a night for you.
Caddie- Hope you're enjoying the beach today. bet the girls are loving it.
Shell- nah i didnt actually!! Was a good girl. I am hanign for payday so i can order my bamboo fleece so i can get some boosters for my naps. I have so many idea running through my head.
I did post a pic in the gallery of my new fitted i made did you see??? can you tell i am very proud of myself.
I will spend all day tuesday sewing apart from the appointment i have with centrelink at 11:10 cause Dh got a payrise so we need to sort out the payments and stuff. I hate centrelink but i need the $$.
Well i feel like a zoombie again today, dont know whats up with me
Shell - he's been away this weekend, so it'll be whenever he comes home today, or tomorrow that he'll have to do it! I reckon he'll remember though, he's got quite a bit stacked up!! :p

Girls loved the beach! we rode down on the bikes and had our tent set up.Its great because you can wade out at least 7m and its only thigh high!
The only prob is they wont keep clothes on and it gets fustrating becuase i dont want them burnt.
Im going top do some dishes then some scrapping on my pops war history!

Ok so I lost my post a few days aog about the playcentre, so take 2.
*RANT*
Went to the playcentre on Thur. J made a beeline straight for the ball pit. Then a child about 3 come over and basically threw J in the pit head first! I went over, but J seemed fine. I thought that he was maybe helping J get in. So I sat back donw. A couple of mins later, he was throwing balls at J, and I could see him getting upset. so I went over again, and very nicely told him :no throwing ball." While looking around for his parents. No one seemed to notice. So I sat back down. Again maybe a min or two later, the kid launched himself at J and was punching him. J was screaming. I ran over there and pulled the child off him and started yelling at him. "where's your parents?" By this stage other people were looking at me. No one said they belonged to the child, and he ran off to another part. (after throwing a few balls at me.) I sat with J and calmed him down. I noticed about 10 mins later a man walked in from outside and it was the father. He left his child by himself! The child smacked another kid, as well as snatched something off one of the other children I was there with. I said to the father that his son was being aggressive, but he didn't even care.
*RANT OVER*
I had my cousins' wedding yesterday. She married one of my DH's best friends. It was nice, and the rain held off till after. (It was a garden wedding.)
Ohh that's frustrating Meg. Next time, definitely tell the play centre staff too. They might have to ask those people not to come again, if the child isn't going to get proper supervision from his parents. Poor James. And poor other kid, he can't really have been having that great a time if all he could find to do was terrorise other kids. :(

Caddie, that sounds like a lovely day at the beach! Ah yeah about the sun protection, kids don't get that kind of stuff sometimes hey. Hope you're having fun scrapping.
Poor Riv didn't get lunch til about 4! That's when I woke up. Props to single mums, or mums who do long stretches at a time alone. I would have slept forever if I could have - if Rans had been home! Or I would at least have gone to the last day of the Spotlight sale if Rans was home!! A bit bummed by that. (ooh had a naughty thought, which was, it won't matter so much if things aren't on sale if I score Ran's pocket money. Shouldn't get my hopes up though, I'm sure he'll remember, and I'm not sure I could do that to him anyway.)
Meg- Thats terrible, you wonder to what kind of life he has with parents that just dump him off anywhere and with that kind of behaviour. Poor J, I'd hate to see Ash get treated like that by some kid.
Ness- I did have a good look at all your sewing creations, they look fantastic, looks like you've got the knack.
Well I have spent 45mins pinning and cutting out my pattern, too tired to sew tonight and want to sit down anyways and have a good read of the instructions. Seriously I more and more feel I don't know what the hell I'm doing, i def need to sign up to classes. All these words on patterns like grain what the hell is the grain? (see told you I have no clue!)
shell (typing with an icypole) wpuld grain be like with wood, like the material has thread lines a certain way? So it might stretch more in one direction than another?

Lol girls I am lucky to have you both! Genius's. And yes you are right, I found my sewing book with all terminology so also found out what basting meant (seeing as that is my first step!)

Shell- Maz doesnt reply to sms normally (a bit slack) so i doubt she would now and whether she has her phone on is another thing. I will sms her later and let her know we are all praying for her
She does have her phone on her, but isn't taking calls or replying to sms's at the moment as she has too much going on.
Tinking of you Mateauz, Maz & Jed & all of the family. Hopefully everything will be ok.
I guess she will contact someone when she has a chance and knows what is going on. I doubt she wants to leave his bedside.
I think Maz'll mostly be keeping in touch with Sammi, so she'll keep us posted. We definitely are praying though, full on that family is being taken for a ride and a half.
Headed to Spotlight soon, should be fun! There's 20% off some stuff like homewares, rugs, furnishings today. I figure I'll be looking in the bargain section for much of my material anyway, hopefully I'll find something I can use to help block the sun from Riv's room in the late arvo!! Mum reminded me that when we were little, she just had some black material strung across. Actually, should go measure the window hey (would be so like me to get there and have no idea how much material I need! :p). And I want to get some stuff for Riv's room so it looks like a kids room and not a junk room...
Are you allowed to take drinks into Spotlight? A wander around Spotters with a slurpee could be a bit of a treat. :) Maybe I'll just get one on the way home.
ETA: Crikey, I've heard nothing but joyous yelling the last 30min or so that Riv's been in bed - I KNOW he's tired!! Have a nap for goodness sake!
Nelle, just don't drop slurpee on anything, I don't think they'd like that! Anyways you might need 2 hands free to buy up big! We need something too to block out sun, the blinds we have aren't all that thick and gets really hot in there too by late arvo.

I kinda think it's nice, we are so materialistic here in Eastern Australia, way too retail focussed, would be nice if things were closed sometimes, we'd just have to plan better, and then be forced to do things like parks on days off, as opposed to shopping for me me me. :p
Of course, that's a lifestyle choice anyone can make hey.
My friend who moved up to castlemaine was telling me how things are really olden days up there. Shopes shut at lunch on saturday and def no sunday shopping!
We ended up taking Ash to the beach this morn, we mainly just played in the sand, she dabbled her feet little bit in the water but was cold. We went and checked out the Brighton Bathing boxes, you know I've lived nearby for 4 years and never seen them til today!
Our shops are open all the time up here as well. Late night trading, Sunday trading, public holiday trading. We never go without that's for sure.
Well Nina has moved into her big bed now. This is her 3rd day in it, and she's loving it. She helped us take her cot out, as we were explaining to her that the cot is for Baby Emily, and the big bed is for her now, cause she's a big girl. We've had a few family members over this weekend, and everytime someone came over, she'd take them into her room to show them her new bed. It was so cute. We haven't had any sleep problems yet either.
I'm making cupcakes to take over to a friends' place for a bbq today. (just a packet mix). And they're baby cakes, and soooo cute. They're tiny. Heath looked at them and said 'how do we eat them, they're too small!' I had to explain that they're not for him, they're for the kids!!
I'd love to take Nina to the beach, but too hot here lately. But thank god for our pool. We've been having 3 or 4 swims a day lately.

hoping everyone is well and little ones are all behaving.
we took savanna to the mordialloc beach yesterday. she had a ball playing with her bucket and spades in the sand. it got too windy so we moved to the park and had a wonderful day just enjoying the outdoors. savanna had so much fun playing with her cousins and daddy. hes such a big kid. hehe

seriously rocky has had way worse floods, the river is rising and yes some of the new walkways parks picnic areas are under water but nothing we haven't seen before, they dont expect it to get anywhere near the levels of 1991 flood which cut us off north and south
