Hi annat! ruby has a little elmo too for bed and her colour is red of course being her namesake! Everything with her is heelloo and bye ee. Sometimes my phone will be found off the hook and i look at the timer and its gone an hr!! I feel sorry for anyone who tries to ring. Hope you get the posting you want!

Does Jesse make the der der der sounds too! Nina does that a lot. With some words they are really clear with her, but with other words it's just der der der.

Oh no Caddie, when I hung a canvas on Riv's wall the other day, I put him in his cot and pointed to it, to make sure he couldn't reach it - he sure tried! But it's out of reach...for now. :p

Marni, if you google 'Sudocrem in carpet', it seems to be not that uncommon. :p Try lemon juice diluted in warm water? Or baby wipes?
I don't know if eucalyptus oil would do anything, but good ol eucalyptus tends to be my one stop shop for fixing stuff. :p Saved my butt as a teenager when I spilled wax on my bedroom carpet from candles I wasn't sposed to be burning and I haven't looked back - Nelle & Eucalyptus, BFF. :D

I'm lying on the couch biding my time til Rans gets home (any minute now) and then I am OFF to bed! I grabbed a 30min nap before, til River's yelling woke me up (kinda MUM I'M AWAKE sort of yelling, not upset, just getting my attention). So I yelled 'COMING' and went and gave him lunch, which he threw on the floor, so i had to sit right next to him while he batted his eyelashes at me - blinking is his new trick...butter wouldn't melt in that kid's mouth, I tell you...

I havent posted much either as I havent been well, still sick, also got a migrane wont go away.. but Julia doing heaps better. And like Kell, tired, and sometimes not much to say but I like to read how everyone is going.

I love hearing about the babies (lol opps toddlers) now and their favourite words! Julia's current favourites are: Door, cheers, bugger (not sure where she got that one from!), bubba, byee daddy and mwwaa for kissing.

Well I think ELMO is it!!! for us too we have one, but in our house Julia prefers the Cookie Monster! we have the little soft toys from sesame street that you buy from coles If she doesnt have the Cookie Monster or Elmo (they have to be together) when in her carseat she crys! At home however she has her favourite Lambies still.

Jodi - goodluck tomorrow mate! what times your scan? Big hugs to Heath too re his change of meds and the pain hon....thinking of you all.

Caddie - mate thank god I dont have the tonsilitis now! I had it 3 times in 2002, it was bad. I was commenting to Laurin about Rylee having it, poor little one...hope the AB's are kicking in for her. I took Augmentin as thats the AB that works best for tonsilitis in Adults. How is Ruby? sleeping? I hope you get some "me" time honey. I would like some today but no chance :( had a guest here when Julia was sleeping...

AnnaT - thats great Ripley is settling and going well, was wondering how you were all going. Come to Sydney!!! Where would you be based in Sydney?

Nelle - hon thanks for thinking of me - I LOOOOOOVE the choc chip hot cross buns from Bakers Delight YUMMOO... and also been helping my depression by cooking things like biscuits and new recipes (cant sew for my life!!!) I made these choc chip bickies to die for!.

Meg - honey will try and catchup with you soon. hope you are well sorry we keep missing each other.

Shell - How was mums group? do people bring food over? or do you put on a spread? we usually have ours out now like at a park mind you most our MG has gone back to work now so doesnt happen often.

Had my BP done again today a bit higher, slowly creeping up. will have to see what teh scan says.

Ness - well Adelaide is a bit harder to get but not impossible. It all depends on what positions are available in his field and how generous the Army is feeling at the time. Theyll send you where they want to. Ryan really wants Adelaide though because its closer to home for him (Perth). He wants to get there eventually.

Marni - nope we just have the TMZ Elmo that rolls itself around. Oh and the Elmo giggle chair courtesy of my sister. Its mysteriously 'broken' unfortunately so it doesnt giggle anymore ;)

Belle - we'll be based out toward Campbelltown where we used to live. I cannot wait to move from here, I hate it and never want to come back.

So I took all of us to an Iridologist this arvo (alternative medicine involving reading the iris) and it turns out Ripley has bowel and gastric issues. She gave us some powder for the boys to take once a day that should clear it up. She also said that they have slight lactose intolerance so to watch their dairy intake but not cut it out because it will make them more intolerant - and apparently they get it from ME. Ive never had an issue with lactose but apparently I have a slight issue with it too. So there you go. Will be curious to see if it makes a change in the boys.

DH didn't get up till I left for work, so I had to get ready with J around my feet. THis is fine, and i am used to it, but you would think that if he was home that he could give me a hand??!!

Ness - Hmm, keep an eye on that BP. I know when mine went up, they were talking about inducing. J came early anyway so I didn't have to. I was lucky though, as DH, being a paramedic, kept a close eye on me, and took BP daily.

I don't know who first posted about Elmo, but it is Elmo here too! We have an Elmo tent, and a baby Elmo in a nappy that says Elmo up Please, till you pick it up. Also Elmo is the fave DVD. I am going to get a portable DVD played to take to London, just so I can amuse him with Elmo DVD's!

marni and Shar, Hope you get the Sudocream out of the carpet. The advantages of having floorboards. It all wipes off!!!
In saying that, I spilt some baby panadol on a mat in our hall and can't get it out. Any ideas?

Jesse's always been a BIG Elmo fan here too. He still loves him. BTW those who are Elmo fans, i noticed Elmo's World is back on channel 2 i think at around 10am.. maybe it was 11am? but yeh back on. Its one thing that if i need to go do something and need Jesse to stay put, i can put Elmo's world on and he's set for the rest of the day. Am just keeping it for times like that as i know it will definately come in handy *hopefully* whent he new baby arrives. He has Elmo/Sesame Street cot quilts x2, an Elmo rug, Sesame Street curtains, a tickle me elmo original, an Elmo Knows Your Name, Baby Elmo, TMX Elmo, Elmo phone, Elmo pajamas (flannel and summer), Elmo DVDs, little elmo keyrings you press and they laugh, Elmo dinner plate and bowl, elmo cups, um Elmo sheets, Elmo shoes, an elmo hat lmao.. everything ELMO! Lol lucky he doesnt wear it all at once!!! But he is starting to get really into Go Diego Go (Dora's cousin). He absolutely loves Diego on foxtel. Oh he goes just as nuts for Diego now as Elmo.

Im sooooo going to buy Hot Cross Buns tomorrow now cos of you Nelle! Ohhhhhh soooooooo waannnnnnnnnnttt onneeeeeeeeee!

I saw those elmo chairs today at k-mart, was thinking bout getting Ash one but might get her one of those couch things instead.

Mums group went well. Ash likes the other children but I think when its at there own place they are sort of glad when they leave. Think she finds it a bit funny all these people in her home touching her toys.

Ness- is your BP at least within normal limits? Good luck with the scan.

Belle- Whoevers turn to host the group usually provides arvo tea, nothing spec, usually just some fruit or some sort of treat and drinks. That sucks your still sick! You've been pretty unlucky this pregnancy with being unwell. Hope you are resting as much as you can and taking good care of yourself.

I would write more but feeling very hot and bothered at the moment, need to get back to air con, none in the study.

I slept in til 11 today! ELEVEN!! :o I felt so bad, but Riv was cheery as ever really.
I must have been tired, had some strange dreams too. I think the problem was that I was soooooo hot last night, so I couldn't sleep. Just tossed and turned and (what's the ladylike term?) glowed. :p He just likes anything that spins.

River wouldn't have a clue who Elmo is! Not so into the tv here for some reason. Rans and I don't watch much, perhaps that's it.

nelle - you're worse than me. I didn't get out of bed until 9am!! Nina has been great lately that she's sleeping in till around 9 each morning. Except this morning I had to wake her at 9. Even though she's going to bed at 8pm, which she's been doing for ages. She must need the sleep. I was up until around 2am last night, couldn't sleep.
I've been meaning to ask, have you put River in a big bed yet, or are you going to before the baby arrives? And have you packed your labour bag yet???

I'm just about to go out and do a little shopping. Heath popped in before as he was in the area and saw that I was a little down, and told me to go and do some retail therapy, and to buy an Ice Coffee while I'm there. I'm hooked on them at the moment. So that's what I'm going to do. Having lunch with mum, so she'll get me out of this mood. Nina's at daycare today. She was so excited to go. It's so cute.

Nina's another who doesn't like, or know who Elmo is, and hardly watches TV. I sometimes wish she'd watch tv, just to get a break sometimes! She will watch it when there's something she can dance to though. So all the dvd's I buy for her, I have to make sure it's a sing a long or something, otherwise she's not interested!

Went to DFO today, the one at essendon airport to look for anything that can pass as our bridesmaid dress, only found 3 in the place that we liked but they either didn't have the right size or didn't fit properly or didn't have 2 of the same so we might look in city next week. Had to use city link for the first time, sucks having to pay $11.45 to drive 10-15 mins up it!

Laurin- So does your DH get some time off before he has to start work? Or straight into it?

Jodi- Sorry to hear you've been down lately, anything in particular upsetting you or lots little things just getting on top of you? I hope the retail therapy has helped out.

Nelle- 11!!! God even on my weekend sleep in I can't seem to sleep that late anymore!

I am loving the rain today and the garden is getting a good watering.

Had my dr's app & ultrasound today. I have protein in my urine, so going back next week to get it checked again. And it's definitely a girl in there, and spitting image of Nina too. She's so chubby, and cute! Feeling a little better, going to go and pick up my princess now, I've missed her like crazy today.

So little Emily is going to be like her big sis. J had about a 5 min cry when I left, and then was the model child for the rest of the day.

Ness - at least it not a huge rapid BP increase.

Nelle - I have not slept in that late since before j was born.

Shell - We got the bridesmaid dress for my sis from Myer during a special, and it was only $100 and was so nice!

Was going to take the dog for a walk, but it is drizzly here.

Nelle - Congrats on the sleep in. A sleep in for me is generally 6am!

Nessa - I hope you BP improves. With everything that went wrong in my preg I was lucky that I didn't get high BP or any swelling!

Shellbell3 - Just curious but what is city link?

Well the sudocream is almost out. I began by scraping the excess off, I then cleaned with a water and detergent solution, then I dried it, then I used Preen for large areas, I then rinsed the carpet, then I used orange power spot cleaner, Then I ironed the carpet to try and bring out the oil, which did help, I then rinsed the carpet and ironed it again. I have left it to dry all day and it is much better but I think I will be cleaning it all over again in the next couple of days. It would be okay but they managed to cover a large area of carpet. I thought it was funny - until I had to clean it!! I also told my friends (who keep laughing at me) that I will give all of their toddlers big jars of the stuff for their birthdays!!

hey all just a quick pop in.

Am on bed rest, BP was 140/100 so more bloods are done. and all that. I was only allowed to come home cause i had no one to pick up the girls and she said as long as i promise to rest up she will call me this afternoon with the test results and more then likely day stay tomorrow at the hospital.

Nessa - that's not good news. Who is looking after the girls today, were you able to find someone so you can get some rest? Take it easy, and keep us updated (or if Kel can for you that'll be great)
