gracie - i saw some photos from the Bonds search in Brisbane - a huge line up! I guess if a baby is still happy after waiting for so long - they'll do well in a photo shoot lol.

Gracie, May the force be with you tomorrow - patience you will need ;) It is insane allright - I saw it on the sydney news last night and So many kids were just completely over it and their parents should have taken them home and not worried. I'm a big believer in that if it isn't fun for the kids then you shouldn't do it. Wouldn't it be fab if he got through though?
Cally, It could be something as simple as having too much solid in her belly - let us know if cutting it down works for her.
Jaz, I don't think there is anyone who is getting a full 8hrs solid sleep LOL - I know I haven't since he was 4-5mths old.
Pregpan, if he hasn't pooed for a while, then it might be a sign he is near the end of it. Fingers crossed that it is.
Pregpan - OH NO poor Noah, that sounds terrible for the poor little thing. And not to mention the worry and sleepless nights for you! I hope he gets well soon. Maddie had a gastro bug from daycare at one stage too and it seemed to go within a couple of days, hope Noah's is the same. Also dont worry about being 'self absorbed', we are all as worried as you are.
Gracie - I agree, anyone who can look after a bub and the house on their own is a champion! I need all the support I can get as I tend to be a stress head lol. Hope your DH is home soon!
Jazmum - I feel a bit bad admitting that yes my Maddie does sleep straight though and rarely has a rough night. Touch wood. Now she's gonna be up all night for me isnt she?! We havent had much teeth action yet though. Maddie has always been an excellent sleeper since 5 weeks, I bet the second child will get me.
Renee - As long as I dont go back to FT work we should be right for the baby bonus and I dont see myself going back FT for many yrs. More than half our wage goes on the mortgage too and we certainly arent rich lol. Glad to hear the night terrors havent made a second appearance. Rory is doing so well drinking from a glass and I think the baby juices are quite diluted with water anyway? I agree, as long as he is getting some fluids seeing as he isnt touching his milk.
Noni - Wow another glass drinker, thats excellent. Go the cloth nappies. I still cant see the gallery I want to check out Asha's pics!
Agnes - Sorry to hear about your crash, thats so scary. :(
MD - YAY going home!!!! Here I was thinking home for you is NZ but I think I'm getting confused with Arte lol.
Sherie - What are Alisters tummy pains from? Dinner? Sounds not nice.
Hayley, Not sure what it is from - we cut out dinner a few days ago to see if that helped. I'm thinking maybe because he is lately having so much more milk that it is just building up over the course of the day kwim
oh i wish he was over it - he did a big poo at about 5 oclock, just too late for me to collect and drop into pathology and then he vomited when iw as giving him some potato - i think it was that he gagged and it all came up but i am not sure. and now all my hard work with offering lots of small feeds and trying to get him to have the gastrolyte has been spewed up... great... thanks for all the support ladies, i really do appreciate it. i hope it ends soon it is AWFUL!
Gracie - good luck tomorrow, i am sure your little cutie will do well. i dont think i could brave the lines of people!!
Jaz - N hasnt slept through since he was 4 months. i got wooed early on witha good sleeper and it has been downhill from there LOL! in fact i think Cally may be winning o the sleep stakes now (though Rory sounds like a champion sleeper!) ETA HAYLEY we were postinga t the same timeGO MADDIE THE SLEEP CHAMP!!!
MD is that osteo in tuggeranong? a friend went to one there for her DS and he was highly recommended and she RAVES about him.
ok i think i will try and get N to bed early, he may as well get a bit of sleep under his belt before the night really begins (plus to be hinest i have had it and would love him to go to bed)
Gracie - will think of you when i am showering N tonight and when i cook dinner- there are a few of us doing it alone tonight!
Gracie - I missed that, go Lewis at the bonds search!!!
LMAO just had Maddie sitting on my lap at the computer while I typed, gave her a pen to hold and didnt realise that she drew ALL over her face!! Too cute.
Sherie - Hope Alisters tummy settles soon. I made a puree with red lentils in them but it seems to have turned Maddie into a trumpet bum!
Pregpan - That bug sounds so awful :(
Pregpan, When Lindsay was about this age he caught a tummy bug that lasted a week (around the time of 9/11 and because I was so sleep deprived when I turned on the TV that morning I thought they were doing a movie review) and he wasn't that sick with it, but could hardly keep anything down and what he did keep down was either vomited back up or pooed out. It was exhausting for me and I was constantly washing towels etc and also very mentally drained. He lost nearly 2pounds of weight too in that week, luckily he was so big to begin with. So I totally know how you feel hun. *Hugs* for you too.
MD & Pregpan - I may be in the same boat as you soon as DH has applied for a few FIFO jobs today.....well if it does happen I'll be the only one in the boat coz you guys would of had your hunny bunnys back LOL!!!!!
Hayley - Rory has been sleeping through since 5/6 weeks too, 12 hrs most nights. Do you find it really hard to cope when you do have a rough night?? I fall to bits LOL, I shouldnt laugh because I really do find it hard! I dont know how im going to cope next time around. Yep and now we have said that our buggalugs wont sleep tonight LOL!
Agnes - Im sorry to hear about your accident! You poor thing! That would of really shaken you up im sure. I hope you are okay now. How are you feeling hon??
Gracie - Good luck tomorrow. Make sure you pack lots of toys to keep L amused LOL!
I just picked up my photos from kodak, 370 of them haha! Jesus, cost me a bomb. All well, its worth it - if our computer crashed we would of lost all of his baby pics!
oooohhh now i really don't want to go- hearing about those long lines interstate!
well my friend hasn't called me yet so maybe she's changed her mind about going too.
sherie- i can't believe that there were people still waiting with upset babies, no way! as soon as lewis starts crying i'm out of there. sort of fynny that you thought sep 11 was a movie review- i can totally see how that could happen. it was so unbelievable.
renee- wow 370 pics! you'll need to buy a big album lmao
hayley- lmao at pen face maddie, you can't turn your back for a minute now can you?
pregpan- ooohhhh it's bachelor night!
Gracie - Yeah even when they are on your laps you have to watch them lol.
Renee - I totally fall apart when she has a bad night! I feel like a zombie
Jazmum - we're still up at least once each night. If it's a good night I'm only up once. I feed her about 12 or 1 and then she's right until about 6:30. We don't often have bad nights anymore, she is better at resettling herself (ie this morning I could hear noises at 6 for about 10 minutes, then she didn't wake properly until 7:10). Last night she stirred at 10:30 and was upset, but then did a big fart and went straight back to sleep. I don't think any of the bfed babies go all night do they?
Pregpan - oh you poor thing with little N. Even though he spewed up the gastrolyte some of it would have been absorbed and started rehydrating him.
Re drinking water, I just have a Heinz baby basics sippy cup that I leave lying on the floor and she just grabs it during the day and drinks it. Today she drank more than 100mL!! To get her going on it, I did MD's trick of taking out the flow regulator and just tipping it into her mouth, then popping it back in. She doesn't get the idea of tipping it up to drink it though, if she is sitting I can hear her sucking in the air so I have to help tip it up then. If she is lying down though, she'll guzzle it.
Gracie - good luck tomorrow. Be prepared with some rusks or something to keep him amused while you are waiting! Oh and and a block of chocolate for yourself!!
K seems to have worked out the forwards commando crawl today. Still a bit tricky on the wood floors, but she's doing really well on the carpet. The bum pops up every now and then she decides its easier to pull herself with her hands.
Pregpan - have you tried some Lansinoh on the graze? I don't have one, but K has started a new trick of pushing with her hands each side of my nipple while she is feeding and it just pops out and then she sucks it back in. Not pleasant! And if she's not doing that, she's trying to put a finger in her mouth at the same time as sucking! The last feed I was so tempted to just stop and put her to bed before she was finished because I was over it with all the other failed feeding attempts we had today.
Time for some TV viewing and then bed!
just a quick one in the middle of making dinner and then i am gonna make some boosters for my nappies haha..
asha has been terrible with her teeth today!! wonder if shes getting a third?? no idea cant see the top of her mouth lol she squirms out of the way..
as for the photos there are 3 more shots but they are naked ones and i kinda feel weird putting them on the net.. not because of u guys just because u kinda never know whos browsing to look at them idk maybe i am paranoid.. anyways bbl for personals
Just a quicky from me tonight, not much sleep and very tired.
Ozstar and Logan are o.k, she is just not finding much time to be online lately.
Will started crawling today, he can't go too far yet but I guess it is time to start babyproofing.
sherie thanks you have made me feel a lot better - you know how when you are in the midstof it all it feels like it will never end and it is so serious etc etc, it is good to hear from you that youhave been thru exactly this. at least N is a big boy so if he loses some weight he willbe ok. hmm on that note maybe i should try hard to catch it!!!
Gracie - bachelor is taping now.. i am tempted just to watch - but i know the ads will kill me plus N may wake (AGAIN) and ruin it for me!! I will watch tomorrow or on weekend and we can download after. good luck tom if you end up going.
Cally - good idea re the lanisoh, i have tried it but i willkeep going with it.N also pushes the nipples and also grabs them - i think it is the fixationw ith finger foods - he ends up with handfuls of milk. it is SUCH a good look - must say i am a little less keen on feeding in public now. thanks also for the sippy cup tips - i will persevere with it. i now have 3 types - hmm maybe i need to persever not think a bought item will solve this one!
Renee - lucky you with Rory's sleeping. i am the same as jaz - 1 night wake is GREAT (though rare) - even 2 is good - say a feed at 12 and 4 - and i a happy. he is also getting great at self settling, i hear him stir and go back to sleep a lot and i generally put him down awake at night (tho not right now with the lurgy). is it a bf thing???
Hayley - too cute maddie drawing - did you take apic?
Noni - i hear you, i would not be putting the naked pics up.
Arte - congrats on the crawling...
hayley - that's fantastic that maddie sleeps through - i am so jealous!! a friend of mine has 3 children and they have all slept through from a young age. lol at maddie drawing on herself - Han has done that too.
cally - i like your idea of leaving the cup of water on the floor - i'm going to try that too.
arte - thanks for letting us know that katie is ok. i've been wondering how she's been.
yay for will crawling.
pregpan - that's great that noah can settle himself to sleep. I wish i could teach hannah to do that.
renee - i find that if i have a good nights sleep i find it harder to cope the next day!lol
well my little chook is awake with the hiccups (hayley - she just tried to grab a pen!)
i'm another one who is a single mummy tonight. dh is down in melbourne again:(
hope everyone sleeps well tonight. Renee and hayley - i hope you haven't jinxed yourselves lol.
Dont know how correct this is but I have heard that BF babies dont sleep as well as FF babies because they dont get as much and therefore arent as full? I could be wrong as sadly I have no idea when it comes to BFeeding :(
Maddie has a terrible terrible rash around her mouth, she has been drooling like crazy. I wonder if its teeth coming through finally?
Well so much for living to a budget, we just broke the budget! Had a big spend up at target and pumpkin patch lol. DP was worse than me 'oh hayley look this one is so cute' & 'lets get this one because it says i love dad' etc etc.
Jazmum - I hope I havent jinxed myself either! So far so good though.
Cally - Thats a good idea leaving the sippy cup in reach. 100ml is excellent! Maddie wont take water at all. Up once or twice a night isnt too bad I guess, a friend in my mums group kept count once of how many times she was up and she counted 19!! Her son is a terrible sleeper but I think she took him to a paedatrican and sorted him out. The poor thing was tearing her hair out.
Pregpan - Tried to take a pic of the pen face, but my camera is outta batteries! Thats good that Noah is self settling.
Arte - Congrats on the crawling.
Pregpan, hope N is better soon. Sorry to hear about the nipple. W bites when he has emptied a side. I have small nipples and now he has top and bottom teeth I worry that if he chomps down hard enough he could bite the whole thing off lol
Sherie, hope A had a better night with no belly pains
MD, how is baby sign going? I think W did a sign yesterday - I usually ask if he wants 'yummies' and tap my chest and yesterday I was sitting down with him standing next to me and he tapped my chest and then buried his face against my boob for a feed. He seems to like feeding in odd positions now - standing up when I am sitting or sitting down leaning over if I am lying down, it looks uncomfortable but he keeps looking up with big smiles.
Renee, where did you get your new model husband from? I really need one, we are fighting like cats and dogs and it sucks. No matter what I do it isn't good enough and I am sick of it.
Noni, what sort of cloth nappies are you using? I would like to get into cloth but there are so many sorts it is confusing. W is currently in walker nappies, there is only one size bigger so I have a feeling he is going to outgrow commercial nappies before he is toilet trained.
Haley, we can't stick to a budget either. Last month not only did we not save what we were supposed to, we also spent a chunk of our savings.
Well, our company house was supposed to be ready this week but we have now been told another month. They have taken out the bath so I don't know what to do for bathtime. They have also taken the side barriers off the back deck so there is a big drop for W to fall off and are putting in a ranch slider from the lounge to a new front deck that also has no sides and a knee high drop. And now they are talking about sub-dividing the back and putting another house there so we possibly won't even have the big yard that was the only real benefit to the house. I know I can't do much about it, but I am getting stressed. They know we have a baby but seem to have tried as hard as they could to make it dangerous for him.
