leanne - hooray for jeordy!!! nice of them to ring n tell you too :)
haley - if take her to the gp just so they can listen to her chest.. have you got a vaporizer?
gracie - yep i do put asha in bed with me but when shes upset she just rolls over and wont sleep crawling around crying and hitting her head on the wall lol.
Noni hun you should delete your email for stalker reasons plus that's how the spam bots get emails to send their spam to. Sorry you had such a rotten night...I've had those nights where I'm so exhausted I wake up and I don't know how long E has been crying for! It's a reflection on how tired you are not how good a mother you are!! BTW I have used dishwashing liquid in the washing machine before, esp on oily stains, it gets them out really well. It's good for cleaning the bathtub ring too.
JaZaH - I love your ideas to commemorate Chloe. Our old girl Beags is under the apple tree here, I'll be sad when we have to leave at the end of the year. I'm taking her collar with me and we'll put it on our apple tree at home.
Leeann - Yay for Poos!! LOL who ever thought poo could make one woman so happy!
Sherie, thanks for the Ezibuy tip - I got some at Spotlight...still pounding the pavement to find bits and pieces for her room today. Ahh my feet are so sore but E was a little patient treasure while we were out at the shops.
Well, shopping has finished off all the mental ability I had, I can't remember what I read five minutes ago. :p
Far out Arte, that petrol must be a killer! Does it take the shine off being back in NZ? IF it's any consolation they say we'll be paying $2 by Christmas :(. Remind me to get a wind-up clown car before then LOL.
MM aka Hayley - did you end up going to the doctor? Sounds like the lurgy coming on, unfortunately. We've all been healthy for a few weeks (except an infected finger and the infected boob) which is a miracle considering I had a total of 6 visits to the dr (and all the waiting in their germy waiting rooms) last week!
Well I was in Myer today and I found (on special) a plain white velvet jumpsuit with some pink roses embroidered around the top - snapped it up for E's baptism next month. Not sure if I should try to find a silky gown or a lacey little cardigan to go over the top to make it more Baptism-y though...hmmm. Has anyone had naming days/Christenings and what did you do? Ours will only be a small one with my Sis and her DD and our friends from Woll and us - hopefully the priest who married us (a friend) is going to be available to do the B for us.
Yay! I have lots of friends now
MD, the cost of petrol wasn't putting me off until I went and worked out how much a short trip actually costs LOL. I was happy being oblivious. Not enough of a bother to take the shine off being home. Yay for finding a bargain baptism outfit, a friend of mine got a dress for her wedding for $20 at a myer sale.
Leanne, Yay for poo! I was also wondering if it was taking a while for something to work its way through since he didn't have anything 'stored'
Haley, bummer about M getting sick. Seems to be a heap of bugs going around this year.
Noni, sounds like a terrible night at your place. I have had a few like that lately. Have you tried the Weleda powder? It is quite cheap (about $11) and seems to make quite a difference for teething pain.
Cally, does K have finger food? Sundried prunes are yummy and help a bit in the number 2 department.
We seem to have turned a corner with sleep here. He can now sleep longer than one sleep cycle, so about half the day naps he doesn't need me to go in and resettle half way and last night he slept from 10.30pm to 4am (well, I don't remember him waking but I also don't remember the conversation I had with DH about alien dentists when he got up to go to work LOL). I am hoping that he will get even better when that tooth finally gets through.
hello lovelies
well friday night is nooky night around here and always ends up with dp passed out fast asleep and snoring, and me wide awake drinking tea and watching foxtel.
arte- that sundried prunes tip is a great idea. where do you get them from?
md- even though i know your real name now, i still think you're md. don't you think marydean (the name) would suit one of those ladies from juniper creek? maybe one of roman's wives? ;)
leanne- yah on poos
hayley- 40 acres sounds awesome. if we had that much land it would be full of animals, dirt bikes and derelict old cars! our place is about 50kms from the city. it takes about an hour or so.
did you end up taking mads to the dr?
LMAO Gracie, I said that to MD too when I found out her real name - "You'll always be Marydean to me!"
Had a late one last night - had a Body Shop party to go to and after it was finished we moved onto the sports club. Got back to our friends place about 1am where DH was with her DH (which is his best mate anyway) and it was 2 before we got home. I think Dh even has the audacity to be a bit narked that I was out so late, but bugger him I reckon - I can't remember the last time i went out on my own with the girls whereas he does it at least once a month with his mates. Spent a ****e load of money too LOL.
sherie- have you got a nasty hangover today?
did you buy any bodyshop stuff????
LOL Gracie, no hangover from drinking (cause I don't - such a boring teetotaller I am) but certainly a hangover from buying stuff. I just restocked on my faves - Vitamin E cream and face cleanser and I did get some Hemp foot stuff too - felt so lovely on my hands.
Guys I need some help
https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...ml#post1295948
Renee, I don't know what to suggest hun. Maybe he lashed out when he's hurt because he's hurt kwim? I know myself when I bump my head or something, I just feel like lashing out - silly I know, but it's like I feel I need to have a release by lashing out. Have you tried to give him a hug and reassure him as soon as you do it (I know its only accidental, I bump Alister's head a lot LOL) so he doesn't get a chance to lash out?
Hi Everyone
Gracie I was LOLing when I read you were still wide awake on Fri night! Happens like that at my house too! I definitely agree there must be at least one Marydean at Juniper Creek, maybe one of
Adalenes's sisters ROFL. BTW did you see the episode where they were having a picnic on the compound and Adalene was telling some young chick about how she was her own great-aunt, aunt and grandmother PMSL. Suuuuuch good tv .
Sherie - Good for you having a big night out, you sure deserve one, and even more often than you do! Yay for Body Shop, DH has the hempy hand cream which I pinch sometimes, it's sooo good for the alligator skin hands!
Arte, sundried prunes sound so yummy! I'm glad you've turned a corner with the sleeping.
We had another horror night last night, confirming that I will indeed be going to QE2! LOL DH was swearing by about 3am and I said - I had weeks of this when you were away, you're around the twist after only one night!! Anyway, she slept in this morning which is good because we needed some rest ready for our big day of painting DD1's furniture. Three shades of purple and three of blue - sounds awful lOL but I have a vision and I'm hoping it will all pull together, and if it doesn't she's only 10 yrs old and won't notice it's not quite right LOL. We've told her we're doing it next Sat in time for her sleepover party that night but DH is going to stay home one day this week and we'll surprise her then!
Hiya everyone - i now have another new computer addiction - Facebook!!!
renee - how is Rory today? You poor thing - i just read your post. Have you been able to get any advice from someone? How did the date go last night?
gracie - nookie night - i love it!!! (but i don't have it :cryinglaugh:)
arte - that's great that William slept well. Did you find that you felt worse when you woke up after having a big block of sleep?
md - hope the painting has been fun today. re the baptism - i think the velvet jumpsuit sounds lovely and i'm sure it would be fine. Hannah wore a long white dress (all girls have worn it) one of the other babies wore a purple outfit and then changed into a white one after the baptism.
Yay it is so fun seeing everyone on FB and putting faces to names!
Gracie - Nookie night? No such thing around this place! lol.
Arte - OMG I cannot get over the videos of Will on FB - he is so clever! He looks like you so much.
MD - Hope you have a decent sleep tonight. Dont worry we are in the same boat atm. Isnt it funny how our men are swearing by 3am, while us mummy's just get on with it. Then again we have no choice lol. Sleepover party sounds fun, I cant wait till Maddie is at that age!
Jazmum - I can admit to being a FB addict too!
Renee - I agree with what Sherie has said, sometimes I get frustrated with myself when I hurt myself too and it does sound silly. I hope you get some helpful advice. I wouldnt worry too much though.
Trillian - Lucky you, I love the body shop.
Leemar - Yay I'm glad Jordy seems to be on the mend. Thats great that they called to tell you, they must have known how worried you were.
Poor Maddie is still sick and it doesnt seem to be improving. I didnt end up taking her to the doctor and now I wish I had of. We have been monitoring her and taking her temp. She has her moments where she has a melt down, but still seems happy enough. She has a bad chesty cough though and spent all last night coughing through the night. I wish there was a cough syrup for this age. Does anyone have any natural remedies that could even just soothe the throat? I've been trying to lay off the milk as it makes her more congested. I just fed her to sleep (been doing that alot lately but thats another issue all together!) and I put only two scoops in a 240 bottle so its watered down a bit, with nurofen in it. We hate seeing her sick its so sad!!
I got a new hair style today, and its very short. Well to me anyway. I've always had long hair but have wanted to go short for ages, but havent had the confidence. So today I got a bob, its like Katie Holmes' hair style. I would LOVE to have a short pixie cut like Pink the pop star, but that wouldnt suit me. I am thrilled with my new cut though, feeling a million dollars!
ohhh hayley you have to show us a pic of your new hair
i'm getting so confused now between who is who from bb to fb!!!!
i can't get my head around people's names!!!
md- i'm loving rhonda atm on big love. i think she's hilarious.
dp was going crazy when bill was flirting with the waitress. he couldn't believe he would want another crazy wife!! lmao
btw, what happened to all our new crew? if you ladies are still lurking, jump back in and say hello:hello:
JaZaH, I am addicted to FB as well!
Gracie, LOL at nookie night, won't tell my DH though.
MD, how did the painting go?
Renee, how are you today? Did you get any answers about Rory? Does your bro still have anything to do with his ex? I remember you were happy when they broke up last year.
Hayley, hope Maddie is feeling better today. Sundried prunes are next to the dried apricots and coconut at the supermarket usually
Thanks for the comments on FB, he does look quite a bit like me but I am hoping he will grow out of it LOL
Will is eating family meals with us most of the time now, for the last few nights he has just had whatever we are having. I do give him a bit of extra fruit but I don't need to prepare anything for him. The other day I made naan bread from scratch! (Pregpan thinks pffft - I make naan in my sleep LOL). The last few nights we have had (mild) curry with naan and rice, chops with rice and mixed veges and kababs and he has been happy to eat it all. Makes meal time so easy.
Does anyone know a good cereal to give them? He won't eat off a spoon, so I was giving him slightly soggy Nutragrain that he can pick up but then I realised it has a lot of sugar. I got cherios which have less sugar but they are little and harder to pick up.
Arte, you could break up some weetbix into some milk and let it soak for a bit and see if he's happy to get into that with his fingers or a spoon. DD1 was pretty much feeding herself with a spoon by this stage. If you can get one of those really short spoons with a loopy handle (KWIM), they're easier for them to hold.
OK, well I'm supposed to be out there painting right now but there's a rather brisk wind today - will wait an hour or so and see if it gets any warmer!
Gracie, i haven't watched last night's episode yet but I've noticed Bill's been perving a bit lately. I wondered if whatsername from the hardware store was secretly interested in making a play for him! I agree Rhonda totally entertaining!
Hayley, yep the sleepover party will be lots of fun - just provided they aren't all disturbed by the sound of a baby crying and crying in the middle of the night! (That's with us cuddling her JIC any of you were thinking we leave her to it LOL). But aaaah the *****iness that preceeds the party is NOT fun. All the girls who didn't get invites were saying things like "She doesn't want to go to your party, do you x?" and "Who'd want to go to your party?". I reminded DD that they're all probably deadset jealous cos she's had some really cool parties like iceskating last year that has been talked about all year since then.
Well I've been telling DH off for his nighttime aggression for a while now (see above, re swearing at 3am) but now I have proof. This morning we were asleep in bed when all of a sudden he PUNCHED me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Right on my d!cky hip which is now sore as all beejaysus and I think he's knocked me out of alignment again. (Damn I was going so well). Apparently he was having some sort of scary dream and punched out in a fright just as he was waking. He's a big strapping lad too, there was a lot of power behind that fist. Good for me he doesn't (usually) have violent tendencies.
MD, LMAO about your DH bashing you in his sleep, hope your hip doesn't stay sore for long. My DH once thought he was saving me from a cat suffocating me, but really he was just hitting me in the face LOL. BooHoo for b!tchy girls, hope it hasn't taken the shine off H's cool birthday.
Marydean, I would be so annoyed if he's put your hip out - hope it doesn't stay sore for too much longer. I would say that these 'mean girls' are definately jealous that they aren't invited, and if that's the way they are carrying on then they don't deserve to be either. I can picture what you are trying to do with the paint - fingers crossed that it works.
Arte, you could try some mini-wheats for Will if they have them over there. You can get the ones with fruit in them, but I noticed they have a plain one with no fruit too. Most cereal is just crap in a box these days - we only have weetbix, porridge and sultana bran here.
Jaz, FB is terrible isn't it? when I first started I was on there for bloody hours - didn't help that I was only on dialup then either. The novelty wears off though after a while.
Hayley, milk is bad for making them congesting so its a real catch 22 isn't it? Have you tried some massage on her back to try to loosen some of the congestion on her lungs? Other than that I would be lathering her in vicks (or eucy rub etc) both front and back several times a day to try to ease it.
Leanne, how is Jordy today? I hope his *good work* has continued.
I am knackered and the day is only half gone. I did have grand plans of doing all the washing, but DH needed me to help him mark the lambs (vax, tag and put rings on their tails and scrotes) and they were bloody big buggers - the biggest ones were at least 30kg and I had to pick them up and hold them while Dh put the rings on and tagged them etc and by crikey they bucked, making them really hard to hang onto. We normally have a cradle that we strap them into, but he thought it wasn't worth getting it from his parent's place for only 30-odd lambs - gee thanks for that pet ;) So now I am behind in my washing, but it is a lovely day here so it wont be too bad, I should get most of it done.
MD, what date is H's birthday? P will be 4 on the 27th. We weren't having a party though, but I was taking a cake to preschool for her. We have brought her a bulldozer for her present LMAO - we asked her what she would like and that's what she told us and we couldn't convince her otherwise so that's what she is getting. I have also gotten her a pink fold up camp chair with her name on it too though.
