Pregpan - that sounds yummy, have noted it down and will whip it up for K one day.
Falguni - thanks so much for the recipe. I was sure I photocopied it but it must have been 'tidied up' by DH
Rainforest - we had a little branch (more a twig) fall on our deck this afternoon and I hit the roof, I can't imagine how much noise there would have been at your place! Gum trees are nice - but not when it's windy! Glad you're all OK
-
Renee - you could do a salmon mornay. Make a white sauce, add a bit of steamed onion, carrot, peas and stir through the salmon. You could also put some risoni in to bulk it up a bit or serve it over pasta spirals.

Hi Girls!!
mmm all this talk of food is making me HUNGRY!!! unfortnately i just couldnt be bothered cooking for myself tonight. i cooked leila up a feast of fried haluomi fingers, chicken broth with pasta and vegemite on toast with puree apple and banana chaser...I hear you rain...these bubs eat well!! that said i pilfered some haloumi that she had left over...
Rain: i am going to speculate on the name change...cause it is driving me insane!!...are you moving to some gorgeous exotic tropical locale???? please say yes so that i can live vicariously through you...
Stella seems more like herself today. although still very meek. i am wondering if something is not right with her as she does have epilepsy from a small bleed that happened on her brain a few weeks after leila was born...hmmm. also, she is pretty scared of schoolkids as a couple of boys really hurt her 2 weeks ago by stomping on her leg while she was sleeping. but hopefully the behaviouralist can work with us on that one. i havent called him yet as i want DH to be there as well...
Renee: yeah i can also vouch for the salmon mornay. the kiddlywinks love it and it is something the whole family can eat. or you could make salmon and potato patties...mmmm
Noni: yeah i reckon wait for a quiet time to have a good D&M with DP. you both probably need it. and yeah, if you are not getting a good sleep, then you might as well put asha in a cot and have a few nights of disruption until she gets used to it. that way, you can get a good sleep under your wings in the not too distant future.
Renee: Hello!! long time no hear! i was just thinking this morning that its been awhile!! and i also saw the CAT trucks at kmart. they look awesome!
Pregpan: eeekk! what a big weekend! glad that it appears to not be too serious with the little man. Leila also had a viral rash that totally freaked me out and we also headed straight to the hospy. i dont like to muck about with that kind of stuff.
Cally: i found two kinds of trike that seem interesting...the first is the eurotrike. and the other is one that i found in target. they both seem awesome so now i need to decide...
Where's Sherie?!
AFM: well things have been pretty hectic not having DH around and 4 hungry mouths to feed (DD, Stella and the two Kats). also tuesday is mums group day and that always rages out of control.
we were woken up last night by the gale storm. we live opposite a massive reserve and all the gum trees were making horrible cracking noises. a few have lost branches. and my backyard looks like a bomb hit it. not to mention my roses.
they reckon we are in for another bout tomorrow morning...eeekkk!
Leila is getting better. it has been taking a really long time this time. not too happy about it as i hate to see and her cough so much.
anyway best head off and raid the fridge/pantry as i am officially hungry.

good morning ladies
Have quickly skimmed, and omg i've missed out on some juicy goss i think. I will have to come back on this afternoon and catch up. Once again, i haven't kept up and it's so hard to get back in again!!! lol.
catch you all later.
-
I feel so awful! I haven't had time to do a decent post in here so forgive me for neglecting you all :)
I have just been soooo terribly busy! It wont be too bad after this week because the school holidays start on Friday and we had no plans to go away at all so it will be nice and relaxing hopefully LOL.
Big new here - last night we had STEPS!!!!!!! Alister was standing up and hanging onto the lounge and I was about 2ft away from him and he turned and walked to me!!! it was so exciting. And then I turned him around and he 'walked' back to the lounge. He thought he was soooo clever and he started laughing and clapping at himself when he did it. The kids got really excited too and he was walking towards them as well. He even did it for his Dad as well. And he gets his popper bike and walks it to one end of the loungeroom, then goes to the front of it and walks it back to the other end LOL. Me thinks the crawling days are numbered now *she says with trepidation*
Someone said a while back about what do you do once they are in bed? We either sit and watch a bit of telly if there is something good on, or otherwise we turn it off and just sit and talk. Sometimes I will do the ironing or tidy up a bit before going to bed. When DH is on nightshift I used to do a bit of cross stitch, but haven't done any for ages. Most times when he is at work I come on here, or watch all the TV shows he hates, but I like (which is most of them LOL)
Marydean, I know you wont see this for a bit, but with the cooking for bubs, I do it at night when I have no distractions from any of them. I haven't had to do it for ages though as I made so much up the last time.
Rainforest, I think you are going to announce that you will be having 2 under 2 ;)
Renee, DH used to work for CAT, so he is going to call his old boss to get some stuff for Alister for his birthday and for both boys for Christmas. I brought a heap of T's from gymboree the other day with trucks and loaders etc on them for Alister for summer - $6.99US each they were! I am gonna rue the day I was told about that website I can tell you LOL.
-
Has MD gone to sleep school? I forgot to wish her luck! Hope all is going well MD.
Sherie, Yay for Alister!! W started walking between people but wouldn't let go of furniture for another three weeks. As soon as he clicked that he could go from thing to thing he has been unstoppable! Now he only crawls to get to something to pull himself up on. I look up and see him toddling across the room, then I look a few seconds later and he is off on another tangent. I miss the days where he sat in one spot lol It is like I have a constant 2 foot tall shadow.
Rainy..... come onnnnn, let us know!!!! That must have been terrifying with the tree. Somewhere near us got hit by lightening when I was in Brisbane, there was an almighty crack and all the power went out. I just about wet myself (if it had happened post baby I would have lol)
Pregpan, that tuna dish sounds yummy. DH won't eat canned fish but I think I will make it for lunches for W and I. I won't find risoni here though, it is spirals, elbows and if you are being very upmarket - penne lol Bummer your DH is going away over your birthday.
I used to work at the CAT lab, analysing the oil and coolant samples that they take for maintenance.
Is there a wonder week around now? Will has been doing heaps of new things the last couple of days;
*picking up two things with one hand
*kisses (more an open mouth with too many teeth pressed against my cheek, but cute)
*increased comprehension - if I say 'bathtime' he goes to the bathroom, 'daddy's home' and he goes to the door, 'where's William's book' and he finds a book
*crouching and lowering himself to the floor rather than just plonking on his bum, he is also trying to stand back up from a crouch.
and a few other things I can't think of now. He is getting so big so quickly!
I admitted to the ladies at playcenter that I got Will's birthday wrong. They had a good laugh about it.
I forgot to add my favourite series to my marathon list - Red Dwarf!!! Is it wrong to be a little bit in love with Dave Lister?
We had a really fun time yesterday with an icecream container. I put it on his head and then mine, he thought it was hilarious!
-
Woot Sherie!!! Alister is such a 'big boy' now!! dont you just love the way they think they are soo awesome when they do something new?!!
and IKWYM about great internet shopping...with the US$ doing so poorly i have been going crazy! loads and loads of books and DVDs from amazon!
I forgot that MD was going to sleep school so soon!! forgot to wish her victory vibes! LOL!
Arte: wow W sounds so clued in! i love the ice-cream bucket idea (you should post a photo of it...he would look so cute!).
love the ticker photo btw! man, these bubs are growing fast!
Leila is 10 months old today!!!!!!!!!!
She also stood on her own yesterday for the first time. she had a toy in each hand and wanted a closer inspection so lent off the table and voila! i dont think she realised what she had done as she was so engrossed! LOL! she is also getting the hang of furniture surfing...not so easy to accommodate as some of the chairs are not great to hold onto...and does anyone elses baby have an affinity for the heaters? we are forced to hide the heater behind the baby gate just to keep her away! so there is no way that i am using the wall one while she is awake. which makes these cold days all the more chilly.
BBL:D
-
hi everyone!!! wow all the babies really are growing up... i feel a little like my man is getting left behind - he is STILL trying to learn to crawl!!!! LOL!! oh well he will catch up soon i guess!
woo hoo to leila on 10 months!! gosh time has gone quickly.
i was reading someof our early posts the other day and my brith story etc - so emotional!
N is still sick, he now has an awful cough - it has made him vomit a few times..poor little guy. the temp seems under control now so i am hoping he will be over this soon. dh looked after him yest so i am home with him today... trying to do some work while he is asleep.
clare - what a feast you made for leila. n would be jealous if he knew!!!
umm who asked fro salmon ideas> you could prob do the pasta sauce i wrote with salmon instead of tuna (make sure you debone it well obv). salmon patties would also be great... hmm i may make some of them myself!
sherie - sounds like you have been crazy busy - and shopping up a storm. i found anew site yest ittybittyyuppy - has some adorable things. N got a few treats - to celebrate me going to work an extra day (any excuse). i see the kmart toy sale is on tonorrow (am i right) so i think iw ill pop down there too.
i think clare was asking about the trike things - i am also looking for one for n for his 1st bday so look fwd to any ideas. also what was that thing MD wrote about (sorry i have missed a lot).
better go - work to do and still havent had bfast today! i did get a shower - had to after his morning vomit - eewwww!
-
hello gorgeous girls
happy 10 months leila :dance::dance:
what a big girl she is? can you believe how fast the time goes?
you'll have to let us know how you go with stella. i'm sure she's not aggressive, i think it's those bl&&dy schoolboys' fault. did you say she had mareema in her?
pregpan-awww poor little noah. i hope he feels better soon the poor little man.
when is md back everyone? i don't think i can tell the news till we're all here....;)
sherie- you'll have to let us know how the clothes are from gymberoo once you get them. ie. sizing, quality etc. how much is postage? if you highly recommend them i'm going to go sick!!:)
alister amazes me, i really think he is one smart cookie...and a crusty demon of dirt of course :D
arte- i'm go jealous you're getting kisses! i want a big pash off lewis!
will sounds like he is really coming along so well. i can't believe he goes to the bathroom like that. i'm scared lewis is going to strat thinking his real name is "lulu" (what i call him) or "chunk" (what his dad calls him.
cally and renee- thanks for your concern over the trees. it was just very windy yesterday. the noise was full on. i was shaking. a lady in a suburb near us (still on the mountain) had a massive tree cut straight through and destroy her house. i'm trying to get dp to get some blokes out in cherry pickers to do some tidying up. i love our area but it is very hazardous eg. bushfire, storms etc. cally- i think our area is very similar to the blue mountains in nsw (although i'm told ours is more beautiful ;)
well i'm off to another spotlight shoot at 4pm. lewis is aslepp now so i'm hoping he sleeps till 3pm so he's all fresh. this time it's for the front cover of the catalogue so i'll let you all know the details later.
jaz- you are on head catlogue watch again!
-
Arrghhhhh! i NEED to know Rain!!! the suspense is killing me!! OMG! how long does sleep school go for....???
Wow! congrats for the front cover! that is awesome  what a gorgeous man! (we knew it all along).
I have to warn you that the 'kisses' are pretty gross! they are awesome but you generally need a towel to mop up!! LOL! leila just lunges in and slobbers with a big open mouth...she thinks it's hilarious!
Pregpan: oh I dont think i have seen your birth story...IKWYM tho, when i read leila's i go all gushy LOL!
As for the pushbar trikes i have found two that seem pretty cool. one is at target (cant remember the name), it has a little umbrella and can be used from 8 months to 3 years (it converts to a normal trike) and the other is the EuroTrike which supposedly has won design awards etc etc. it is for bubs 12 months+. both look cool, although with the latter they are gendered and i dont really like the girly one and the boy one is very boy (IYKWIM). probably still get the boy one though...
-
Noni, how are things today?
Rainy, yay for the front cover, Lewis is a star! I am paranoid about W not learning his name - my niece thought her name was 'you' because everything was phrased 'do you want...' etc so I make sure I use his name instead eg 'does William want...'
Clare, W has my nieces ride on toy, it is pink and purple and DH isn't very impressed LOL It is scary that our bubs are reaching 10 months, they are such big bubs now. It doesn't seem like that long ago that W was just a tiny poo machine!
Pregpan, hope N gets better soon. He seem to be having a really rough ride lately.
-
Rainy - wow a cover shoot!!
Sleep school is 4 nights - but when did she go in?
The eurotrikes look great, the ones they have at Target are called smart trike or smoby (not clear in the catalogue - maybe the boy one is smoby or maybe they just have two different brands). The girl comes in pink and red. Page 12 of the Target catalogue (on the website)
Trillian - wow steps!! What a clever little man. I am thinking of getting a walker from the toy library this week.
We had a quick trip into town this morning - KMart had so many toys out, ready for the big sale tomorrow.
Just pulled up the gymboree website - so much stuff!!
Clare - can you put a playpen around the heater? Or move the coffee table in front and block the sides off with boxes so you can have heat?
Arte - I think I am getting kisses too, but they are big and slobbery and they tend to involve teeth around my nose.
-
yeah i get the kisses too - soooo slobbery but gorgeous to get...
i like the eurotrike this is the one we have seen around a lot and thought of getting - so i will look at others but for now this is on the list!! clare - i think most ppl must get the boy one, as this is the only one i have ever seen out and about and ALL those bubs cant be boys!
thanks for the wishes re N - he is still unwell poor little guy and you are right he has had a rough trot lately - i have been feeling v guilty about that wondering if it is something i am doing wrong...
rainy - wooo hooo on the cover! just found out a friend of mine's little girl is in the kmart catalogue this month too...all these gorgeous bubbas!
-
Pregpan, I don't think you are doing anything wrong re N's sick run. I think that if they catch one nasty bug then while they are recovering they get hit with another because their immunity is lower
-
Hi girls,
Sorry I have been MIA again. Have been reading when I can but no time to post.
Rainforest looking forward to hearing the reason behind the name change, I am hoping your UTD and engaged.
I just jumped on to brag and tell everyone I am an aunty again, my SIL just had a gorgeous baby boy. Wish I could afford to go down to Sydney to see them all. I am super excited and had to tell someone.
I will try to jump on again later and catch up properly.
-
congrats ozstar!!!
thanks arte for the reassurance, rationally i know it isnt my fault but you know the mother guilt still kicks in...
he vomited again from coughing so much
my gp called tho all tests have come up neg so it is def viral/flu. i toldhim what is happenin and he wasnt too concerned.so nice of him, he has called each day as i told hm how worried i am... he is a family friend but still it is so nice of him.
-
Ohhh Katie that is SUPER news!!! congrats to your sister for the :babyboy:
is this her first??
-
Whoa! there's been quite some chattering going on today LOL!
G, definately will let you know what the sizes are like. I did start a thread on here asking about sizing, and found some on ebay which I asked the seller about and apparently they are comparable to aus sizing which is great to know. The size for an 18mth old will fit an 18mth old with a bit of room to spare. The height range is what worries me - Alister is at the top of the height range for the 12-18mth size, so I got some in 12-18mth and some in 18-24mth just to be safe. I love that they have slim fit stuff too - the girls are so lean, and Paige is so tall that regular stuff is too wide in the waist. I got a heap of stuff for the girls too lol - their hair accessories are divine. Postage is exxie though at $30 for orders up to $125, so I made sure I spent nearly that much LOl to make the postage worthwhile.
BTW G, the woman you are talking about with the tree through her house, it came on the news as "woman and her infant son...." and I thought it was going to be you! but it wasn't, so I didn't get to see you LMAO.
To answer Arte's Q, not sure about the wonder week as such but they do have quite a few develpmental *leaps* from 9-12mths. Alister is starting to make word associations too now and can say "baa" for bath when I ask him if he wants one. He also does this thing that when he is going to be norti and I catch him, he puts one hand over his eye, like he is hiding LMAO - its soooo funny. Then I ask him "where is Alister" and he pulls his hand away and smiles. He loves Lindsays cars too and pushes them around making car sounds.
-
Just quickly, it's bath time.....
There is a wonder week at Week 37 (36-40 weeks). "The world of Categories"
Good work on all those steps going on, :cheer: lots of early movers in here.
OMG, Lu has just layed a big log on the floor while i was typing! Aw well at least it's not carpet.
-
Re the big open mouth slobbery kisses - they just melt my heart & yes you do need a towel to mop them up but you really dont mind because its too cute!
Rainforest - OMG cmon girl spit it out! Hehe. What a shock having those trees fall, I'm so glad they fell away from your place. Do you have to cut your trees back often to prevent them falling? Good luck to Lewis with the photo shoot little hunk-a-spunk!
Falguni - LMAO at Lu's log!!!!!! Sorry I know it aint so funny for you.
Trillian - Wow go Alister thats fantastic!
Arte - My god I am so in awe at how smart Will is. Is it normal for them to be that smart at this age iykwim!? I think you have the next PM or at least a doctor on your hands there. I cannot believe how clever he is.
Katie - Congrats on becoming an Aunty again woo hoo! Glad to hear bub is all safe and well.
Pregpan - I've been the same with getting the guilts over Maddie being sick alot too. It does have to do with their immunity being low when they are sick though. Its horrible when they are ill. You arent paranoid parents at all, I'd be rushing off to the doc or hospital if I felt the need, you can never be sure with bubs they seem to go downhill fast so its always best to have them looked at. DP and I are exactly the same as you and your hubby when it comes to our precious bub being sick. I am in awe of your cooking skills! Maddie and Noah seem to be on the same wavelength with crawling, I am not worrying about it either. It will happen when it happens!
Cally - Target are also preparing for a huge toy sale so check them out if you can.
Clare - Happy 10 months to Leila! I will have to check out this eurotrike. You are another great cook by the sounds of it.
Noni - Have you had a talk to DP? Thats not fair of him at all! Sometimes these men just need a reminder!
MD - Have I missed something is MD at sleep school? I know its late, but good luck MD & hope to see you back in here soon.
Renee - How is the job going? Love the idea of the truck theme for Rory. Your latest pics of him on FB are just gorgeous. Thats great that the girls rearranged their day for you, how nice.
Jazmum - Love the pics of the girls on FB. They are so beautiful you are very lucky.
I've got a carrot & zucchini bake in the oven for Mad's & I for tea tonight. DP works late on a Wed night as car yards are open till 9 tonight.
Has anyone else got a fetish for baby shoes? My gosh I am addicted, I am constantly buying baby shoes for Maddie. I got some real cute ones from Hong Kong on ebay, well they arrived today and lets just say I forgot they all have small feet over there lol. Ah well hopefully my gf who is due soon will have a baby girl & I'll send them her way.
I got a baby ball pit today for Maddie from coles for $15.00, she loves it.
Oh wow I just got a call from my mum who has been in the baby section of the surf shop & bought a whole heap of stuff for Maddie! Isnt that sweet!? I have never bought anything from the surf shop for her, cant believe how much they charge for baby clothes mind you just because it has a name written on it!!
-
Oooh Trillian how do I enter Maddie in the bellybelly comp? The amount of pics I've got of Maddie and the cat I may as well..
-
 Don't worry MM, i was laughing! ;) Carrot and zucchini bake sounds yummo.
-
MM post the bake recipe - sounds like something i should try!
-
yes hayley, post the bake recipe- sounds yum
-
Arte - I've really noticed a lot of new things happening this week:
- really understands when I say 'time for milk' (mouth opens, claws at my top etc)
- mouth also opens when saw 'drink' for her sippy cup
- turns the pages in her books, lifts the flaps and is able to sit still to read them
- kisses
- claps
- when she is about to do something she shouldn't she gives me a cheeky little grin first
This afternoon she pulled the bag with rusks in it from the nappy bag and when I said 'what have you got there?' she gave a little squeal and went racing across the carpet not letting go of them. I chased her and she was loving it. So cute.
Definitely doesn't understand no though. I must have said 'No K, we don't play with the rubbish bin, it's dirty' about 15 times yesterday. And each time a tantrum when I moved her away and gave her something else to play with.
MM - carrot and zucchini bake sounds good!
Katie - yay for aunties!! Another little one to spoil.
Falguni - yay for tiles / floorboards, that could have been very messy.
-
Ok, bit more time....
Think i need to go check out that online store you're all talking about. For homemade different kind of kids clothes and toys i have been surfing etsy alot. Some gorgeuos stuff. OMG pregpan, i just checked out the ittybittyyuppy, some of the stuff is adorable! I am very lucky to have a granny who loves to spoil her only granddaughter, will have to show her that site. ;)
Clare- How exciting Leila standing on her own, we're not quite there yet. Lu has worked out how to bend over and pick something up as well as how to lower herself down and stand back up, so she looks like a jack-in-a-box, up, down, up down all day!
RF- @ your DH calling him chunk! Reminds me of goonies. 'sloth loves chunk' We started with kisses, if you're not carful you get a bite. watch out. Your little man is a star, cover boy now eh? Lu will be eyeing him off for sure!
Pregpan, your poor little man, coughing so much that you vomit is never nice. Was it in here that someone posted that panadol apparently supresses a cough? Hope he is on the mend. That is great that your Dr has caled everyday, how thoughful.
Art- i never though of that, i am going to have start using her name a little more, wow about the little girl who thought her name was you. That's a bit cute, she must have been sooooo confused.
Cally- We have a really sturdy wooden trolley that doesn't tip. Lu loves it, cruises up and down the hall all day. If you hire a light one and it is light, someone recommended wrapping a brick and putting it in, so it is more stable.
Trillian- Sounds like you have a real little character on your hands there. Haha, hiding behind his own hand! cute. Gymbaroo sounds dangerous, dare i look?
MM- i'd be interested in the recipe too. Surf clothes are studiply over priced hey? they do last ok though. Even the outlet stores are overpriced these days. Nice of your mum to stock up for you. What a trendy little girl you'll have. ;)
-
Ange, yes you should check it out LOL. Their stuff is quite reasonably priced I thought and the conversion is great ATM too so I am taking advantage.
I could never get into the shoe thing with the kids as they have such wide feet and high insteps, so shoe shopping is always a chore and I could never buy shoes online for them without trying first.
For anyone who is interested, you can enter the comp at babyofthemonth@bellybelly.com.au
-
Hi Girls,
Hello to everyone.
Pregpan- Hope N is feeling better soon
RF- congrats on Lewis being on front cover... WTG Lewis.... OMG about the trees falling down... Hope all is well and love your new name but why the change...
Renee- Yep panadol and dimetapp is ok to give together. my dr recommends dimatap for all colds. Hope Rory is better soon.
Katie- Congrats to you on becoming an Aunty again.. and congrats to your SIL
Plans for the Big Birthday Party is coming along nicely but I am so busy this week and I hurt my back on monday well I think Xavier hurt it when he was in bed with us on Sunday night but on monday morning I could hardly walk. Its still sore now but way better then it was on monday. I think I am more excited then the boys... hehehehhehe. Any way I better go as I am suppose to be watching the fooz ball with DH and the boys are still up and running a muck. Talk soon xxxx
-
Leemar - Oh no sorry to hear about your back & hope it gets better quickly. Are you watching the footy with the celebritys & old players in it? Did anyone watch it last night? I was peeing my pants at Peter Hellier with his blonde mullet & spray tan, I think he was taking off Warwick Cappa?
Cally - Wow go Katie! I am in awe at what everyone's bubs are doing atm.
The very easy carrot & zucchini bake recipe is:
2 zucchinis grated
2 carrots grated
1/2 a brown onion diced
2 tbs of olive oil
1 cup self raising flour
Half a cup of cheese
Pinch of pepper or seasoning of choice
5 egg yolks
Mix ingredients together & pour into a greased baking tray & cook until golden.
Very easy & it went down well with Maddie.
I got the recipe from taste dot com and I altered it a bit, it originally wanted a cup of cheese, 4/5 zucchinis (which I thought would be zucchini overload & many people had mentioned that in the rating bit), half a cup of olive oil, & 5 eggs (changed that to yolks obviously for bubs). So I kinda made it less fattening and more healthy for a baby to eat, let alone my butt which doesnt need any more fat on it hehe. The good thing is I have some left so I've put it in the fridge for tomorrow's lunch.

hey everyone..
just jumping on to see how everyones going.. this house looks like a bomb has hit it grrrr so i have lots to do today.. applying for a personal loan as well so we can get a new car and pay most of the credit card off fingers crossed we can get that through because dps car rego expires in about 20 days lol and we dont wanna re register it because its deffinately on its last legs!!
open mouth slobery kisses - yep getting lots of those here too!! asha likes to give them to her teddies too lol
haley - i used to make something similar all the time but mine has garlic in it and the one for dp had bacon in it its pretty nice :) i have an addiction to baby shoes too but i try and limit myself lol ashas got quite a few pairs now though hahah
leanne - hope ur back gets better asap.. i'm really excited for ashas birthday too cant imagine what its gonna be like when shes 3 hahaha
cally - we are having trouble with no as well lol asha stops and looks at you when you say no.. then smiles and goes back to what she was doing grrrr lots of tantrums here too!!
sherie - oh wow thats so cute that he covers his eye when hes naughty!! sounds like a very clever boy!!
pregpan - its niceto have a good dr like that to put your mind at ease somewhat :)
katie - congrats!!
hello to everyone i missed gotta jet n get cleaning
-
Hi Girls,
MM- We watched the State of Origin. I ended up watching the last bit with DH and he was very excited and happy from drinking. lol... Your Carrot and Zuchinni bake sounds
yummy. I wrote it down and am going to try it.
Noni- My house looks like a bomb has gone off everyday. I am having tomorrow off work to clean up and get ready for the party.... I know its not till sunday but hey I need the time. hehehehehehe. Hope you get the loan.
All is good here today
-
Sherie, W has inherited my wide feet too! It makes shoe shopping horrible. ATM he is in 12-18 month old shoes - they are too long but the right length ones are too narrow for his big flappers. A hiding behind his hand sounds very cute.
Cally, Sounds like K is doing really well. Out of interest what hand does she use to turn the pages? So cute when you can chase them, W holds DH's finger and runs and I crawl behind going RArrrrr. He looks back over his shoulder and squeals and laughs.
Rainy, how did the cover shoot go? Has Lewis made any demands for french imported mineral water and only green M&M's yet? LOL Hope it went well.
MM, I don't think W is on a sure path to brain-surgeon-hood, I was the same as a bub - walked at the same age as W and could speak in 2-3 word sentence by 1 and I didn't turn out that special. I think I used up all my brilliance too early LOL
Noni, good luck with the loan. It makes life far easier if you just have one thing to pay rather than a heap of HP's, loans and credit cards.
DH took a sick day today and came to playcenter with us which was really cool.
LOL, Will keeps walking over to his ball pool and tumbling in. He has also figured out how to push the cars down the ramp of his little people garage and then looks for them at the bottom.
-
Hello lovely ladies!
Rory is still sick. I took him to the Drs because his snot was dark brown but everything was okay, no infection. Ive got the cold too now :( Looks like ill be taking the day off tomorrow. Jeepers, its my 4th day of work and im taking sick leave!! Its starting to look like this job isnt meant to be, ive been stuck finding someone to have Rory as mum was called into work full time for the past 2 weeks to cover extra holiday leave! DH ended up taking a day off to have him last week! Should be alright after next week when mums back to her normal hours....I hope!
Art - You have to take some video of Will and get it up on facebook so i can have a peek haha. It would be awesome to watch! What a great daddy taking time off to play with will :)
Noni - The personal loan sounds like a great idea. Thats what we did when Rory was born to get rid of some payments. Best thing we did!
Hayley - How is Maddie today? Hope she is feeling better. Its so tough when they are sick. When I wasnt awake to Rory crying I wanted to be awake to Rory crying so I knew he was okay...iykwim..
Leanne - The party sounds like its going to be a blast. Gawd I LOVE birthdays haha. Ive already started planning Rory. And its great now im getting a little bit of my own pay every week, that way I can go overboard and no DH to get mad at me haha. What sort of cake are you making??
Cally - Ahhh yes the tantrums have well and truly showed their ugly face here too. Its a little amusing though haha.
Poor Rory has been asleep now for hours & hours, he must be exhausted! Just got some bad news Dh is going away for a week up north, leaving THIS FRIDAY. Great :(

Renee - Glad it isnt a big mean infection for Rory. Its so sad when they are sick! I hope the job does work out in the end. I'm sure they will understand you having a sick day. I feel guilty about the amount I've taken to be with Maddie but my boss is a mum herself & very understanding. If you are on casual pay you just wont get paid for any sick days so its not like they are paying you and you arent there like they do with F/T & P/T. I hope the week goes fast for you!
Noni - Hope you get the personal loan approved, it will make it much easier just paying the one loan. Once you've done that cut up the credit card & never get one again lol. They are dangerous hehe. The garlic in the bake sounds nice, I will add some next time.
Arte - That was nice of your DH to take the day off to come to the play center. I wish mine would take a day off now and then he works 5 & 1/2 days a wk 60 - 65 hrs.
Leemar - Good luck for this Sunday & take lotsa pics for us to see.
I've got Maddie booked into the doc's tomorrow as she has woken all congested and her cough has worsened. Other than that she is really happy & has been laughing all day. I figure I can always cancel tomorrows appt if she is better by then. Maybe we are being paranoid parents but DP & I are starting to worry about this coughing that goes on all night. I have been dosing her up on oranges, sticky sticky mess lol but she loves them.
Tonights tea is spinach & ricotta canneloni. I havent tried Mads on ricotta yet so it'll be interesting to see her reaction. Now that she is older I have noticed she is very keen to try new things and new textures, and foods that she once turned her nose up at she now devours.
