MM, hope you have a good flight and a really fun trip!!! Hope you woke up a lovely tanned babe and not looking like a giant carrot lol
Rainy, how have you been? Has the morning sickness cleared up yet? How is L's sleeping? W has been waking up heaps, he has a new front tooth and what looks like molars coming up at the moment. He has also decided that 6am is his new wake up time, so I am feeling a bit zombie at the moment.
Pregpan, I am so nostalgic lately, I just can't believe that this time last year I was holding a brand new bubby. I really want to do it again!
MD, you are very welcome :D We have a traditional NZ slice made from Eskimos if you want to have a try:
Lolly Cake **warning - Does not have the heart foundation tick**
100g butter
1/2 can condensed milk
250g crushed malt biscuits
1 packet of chopped eskimos
dessicated coconut
Melt the butter and condensed milk together, add in malt biscuits and eskimos. Shape into a log and roll in coconut.
Variations: use gingernuts instead of malt biscuits, jelly lollies/choc buttons instead of eskimos, roll into balls instead of a log.
Ozstar, do you do photography?
This morning W climbed out of our bed himself and went into his room to play with his toys, so cute.
-
Happy bithday RORY!! What a sweetheart, I've loved hearing all about his developments over the past year Renee.
Arte - LOL Yes I am a CARROT!!! Its pretty orange, but I scrubbed it a bit just before and its not too bad now. How cute of Will climbing out of his cot. Actually I am glad we arent at that stage yet hehe.
Clare & Kate - Oh no no no, I could never live with my inlaws. Not even my own parents I dont think. Kate how do you find your MIL with S, I know mine would completely take over!
-
Just a quick note, took M to the doc this morn for her last check of her ears. One is clear but the other is still a little red. So we will probably have a bit of a rough descent with her. Have to dose her up on panadol poor love. I was shocked though as the doc said if they hadnt improved she would have advised us to post pone our trip or find someone to look after M. God is that being dramatic, I didnt know it was that bad? WHOOPS.
-
MM LMAO at you being orange. Poor little chook, I am sure she will be fine. Have a great trip, cant wait to see some photos.
Arte yep I am a photographer, well used to be. Have only just started taking photos again and am thinking about going into business.
Clare you will have to pm your FB details so I can add you.
I am desperately waiting for news from my friend to see how her IVF went today. Today has gone sooo quickly and I haven't done anything.
-
Happy birthday :happybirthday: to our Rory!! Hope you have a lovely day! :D
Arte, oh I'm beside myself with excitement at the thought of a traditional lolly cake (have been trying to say that in my best kiwi accent LOL). DD1 will have to be involved in the making, too I think! :)
-
MM: have fun on the trip! man am i green with envy. here in Melbs it is soooo windy and yuck. waahhhh.....
-
Arte- the only eskimos i know wear fur and live in on the ice..... i pressume you kiwi's don't cook them!
is it a flavoured biscuit of sorts?
Leanne- it's not so bad, going to be 23 tomorrow.............woot! Bring on spring. :cheer:
Down at Mum nd Dad's and Lu has pulled about 50 books off the book shelf, that is not such a bad thing, except mum has thousands of books and they are all in alphabetical order! Do you think she'll notice if i just shove em back???? :P
-
Happy Birthday Rory!!! I bet you've had a great day little man!
-
LOL Ange, just shove them back and hope she never notices! Eskimos are a lolly, like a harder marshmellow. It is dangerous to cook and eat real eskimos because we look pretty similar to them during the winter and we wouldn't want any incidents lol
-
Clare - Did you live in Fiji...? Whereabouts and how long? I got married over there 2.5 years ago and wanting to go back next Sept. Love it.
Art - What a good boy W is for going to play by himself when he woke up. So clever
MM - Living with the MIL isn't too bad. She looks after S if I ask but won't change nappies or offer to help. Step FIL is the problem...has all this 'great' advice on how to raise children yet his have had drug problems (using and selling), run ins with cops over everything, banned from pubs and clubs as well as dating men over twice their age. So I don't think hes the best to be offering advice. I just nod my head and b!tch/laugh about it later. Luckily he works 10 on and 4 off so don't have to put up with his cr@p much.
Have an awesome trip and I hope that all goes well with M and her ears. Take lots of piccies.
Ange - I can just imagine crushed eskimo humans being rolled in coconut :p And as for the books just chuck em in and see how long it takes her to realise. ;)
Well the Psychic expo was good, I'm not a strong believer in it but needed to double check with some sort of higher power about my lifes direction. Was told that the move will be successful and will build a great financial base for our future. I am destined to have another child but she can't see past all my emotional cr@p at the moment so it looks like it might be a while off yet. She also mentioned that I might need clinical help to get pregnant...(again) All in all I was pretty happy with the reading. So yeah for me!!
-
I've uploaded some more pics to my gallery here https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...ry.php?cat=540 I picked up Erin's and Paige's birth samplers from the framers today, so you can see what I"m talking about now LOL. I'm almost finished Lindsay's and I'm hoping that Alister's wont be too far away in the post - I got it from the US off ebay.
-
Nice work on the samplers Sherie. I tried a cross stitch 15 years, got a big knot in it so cracked a wobbly and chucked it. So don't have any patience for that kind of thing so kudos to you
-
Oh Sherie! he is JUST gorgeous!! he can sooo ride a motorbike with my girl when they are big people!!! LOL!
Kate: oh wow! whereabouts did you get married in Fiji? we lived in Fiji for 2 years from 2003 onwards and try to go back every year. we made loads of friends, and i loved it so much that i took up a PhD to study media stuff there...you can check out some of our piccies of Fiji on Facebook.
I didnt know that you guys needed help getting pg. we had trouble too. were very close to going down the IVF path which was pretty scary when you think your 20s are the most fertile years! (here i was on the pill for yonks not realising that it probably made no difference:rolleyes:).
i think i need a reading done too!
AFM: well i am pretty stoked with finding the bugaboo site. my awesome accessories for the pram arrived and we are sooo kitted out right now. all i need is the cotton on kids shirt that reads: 'pimp my pram' LOL! her pram is now fully loaded with LED lights for our night walks and she has a summer breezy canopy. like Ange said: bring on SPRING!!
-
OMG Clare, did you seriously get lights for your pram? Now I"ve heard everything LMAO. it was 26 degrees here today and just gorgeous. It is supposed to be as hgh as 30 tomorrow before a change comes through with rain. I think L and A would make a cute couple ;)
Kate, LOL at you cracking a nana at the cross stitch. I really enjoy doing them, but I admit I have only just pulled it all out and started doing it again. I had the girls done about 2yrs ago and then started Lindsay's, but put it away until now. I've never gone to a reading before, I'm to skeptical LOL. But then my only experience with them are the dodgy one's that my Mum has been to see
-
oh yes baby! i sure do have lights!! they are sooo cool (in that tacky kind of pimp my style kinda way! LOL!).
Blue LED...
-
Clare we are going to need photos of the pimped up pram, very cool.
-
Clare - OMG that is so funny! How cool definately post a pic of the pram with lights!
Trillian - Love the pics, especially fairy Alister hehe.
Ozstar - I really like the pics you have taken of Logan, well done. Yeah I cant believe I am orange, I knew I shouldnt have done it lol. Oh well its good for a laugh, it stinks too and DP wont come near me.
Falguni - Lmao OH NO I hope your mother doesnt notice!
Ok well I will check in with you ladies once we are back. Wish me luck with M and her ears. She should be asleep on the descent (as it'll be 10.30/11pm) so hopefully she wont wake. Talk soon. I so need this holiday YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!
-
Ooooh very exciting for you H. On descent, just give M her dummy to suck too or even a bottle so the sucking motion helps ease the pressure in her ears if she isn't asleep at the time.
Clare, I have images of your souped up pram bouncing up and down like those low rider cars you see in the movies - you know the ones don't you?
