 Raino, you poor thing. If i didn't have an OB app in the city and my damn MIL here, i'd pop over and take the little man for a few hours or something. You poor thing. I'm not sure about M/S suddenly starting either, is your Dad or L sick? might be a bug. :dunno:
How long since you havn't been able to keep fluids down? I would think about going to Dr if it's longer than 24hrs....
For the last 4 months i have layed on a matress on the floor on the lounge with all Lu's toys spread eveywhere. She playes, comes over for a cuddle then goes off and plays. I know it sounds like i have been a terrible mum but when you are sick you do what you can to survive! I can highly recommend a matress on the floor with a bucket!
-
Ange - poor you, lying on a mattress on the floor.
Rainy - hope you are feeling better is DP back?
MD - We are only doing 2bf's a day (although she snuck a couple of extra ones in on the weekend when she was climbing down my top). Can't help you with the biting though, hope she gets the message soon. You've done well to get to this stage though!
PP - yay for N last night!! Hope you were able to take advantage of it.
Clare - hope those injections knock that tonsillitis away, how rude of it to pop up again!
Arte - Will sounds gorgeous, aren't they funny how they do those funny little things.
Andie - wow at Jack the climber! I've got everything crossed that K doesn't learn that skill for a few more months!
Well am back at work - only 550 emails to go through! Feels like I never left, some of the projects I'm working on have hardly progressed in the last year. I thought I was going to be fine this morning when I left, but had a couple of tears when I kissed DD goodbye. She was a bit whingy when we left, but mum said she was fine afterwards and she went to sleep OK for her nap.
We had a blackout last night from 5:30 for a couple of hours. Had to cook nachos in the wok on the bbq!! Luckily it was all ready to go and that the rain held off for us while we ate outside.
Better get back to it.

Hi girls
Too much to catch up on so will just say that Sarah has started crawling off the bed correctly. As in feet first. She had been doing the whole head first thing until I showed her how to turn around. Did it twice and she has been doing it ever since. And shes worked out how to pull herself back up onto the bed but just doesn't have the strength to get up there yet.
Hope everyone is well...BBL
-
Kate what a clever little monkey you have! E's been experimenting with stepping down the single step in our loungeroom. The bed is far more impressive!
Cally and Clare, thanks for your reassurance re the BFing --- I had no idea feeds had shrunk down like that for others, I was feeding DD1 a lot more for a lot longer. Cally I've got my fingies crossed for you with your return to work, hope it all goes well, will be thinking of you on Tues! Clare sorry your tonsils are giving you so much grief! I'm a baby of the tonsilectomy 70s so highly unlikely to get to my age and still have any tonsils left to infect. So hope it clears up soon.
Rainy sorry to hear you've been feeling so YUCK. I'd be seeing the doctor if you're really crook, better to be safe than end up in hospy on an IV, I say.
Ange, oh wow I had no idea you'd been so crook with the ms. Sending you big big cybercuddles! Hope it passes soon, I think your mattress and bucket solution is genius!
Andie are you starting to get excited about Jack's bday tmrw?
-
Kate is it your birthday today??? If so HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
Will try to jump on later to catch up!
-
BTW I can't remember who asked but someone was saying their bubs is not eating as much...? Anyway I read that night that if they kept eating at the same rate as they do in their first year they'd end up the size of a fifth grader by the time they are two LOL. So yes expect them to eat a bit less than they have.
ETA - Happy Birthday Kate!! :happybirthday: Have a lovely day!!
-
Hello lovely ladies, I'm baaack! I see I have missed alot, but I hope you are all well.
Rainy sorry to hear you arent feeling too good you poor love.
Our holiday was absolutely fantastic, Maddie was such a good girl, even though we dragged the poor thing around and totally disrupted her sleeping pattern. She was a little angel on all the flights as well and the passengers around us were all very good. She was a real show off on the flights actually & kept trying to stand in the bassinet to shake her bum haha. Maddie loved swimming in the pool and luckily her ears didnt seem to give her any trouble, we were well prepared for pain on the flights but she was perfect. She is now & then sticking her fingers in her ear, but we are back to the doc on Wed so we'll see whats going on. As for the adjoinging rooms, we ended up with them after all. I was spewing! However DP's parents were manageable, we had our moments and I slipped a few *****y comments whoops. Was a bit dissapointed as DP and I didnt have any time together as they tagged along with us everywhere. Ah well we still had a ball. We all had Penang belly though, even Maddie had a few yucky nappies. We are already planning our next holiday. I tell you what, travelling totally kills my cluckiness lol.
Also I have some VERY exciting news to announce, however I am trying to get a hold of my parents who are travelling around Australia atm and must be in a remote area, as I want them to be the 1st to know. & Noooo I'll put you outta your misery, its definately not another baby lol. I am itching to tell everyone
-
Ooooh oh oh...is there jewellery involved???????? :excited:
-
ooohhh H you have got me all excited. I think I am with MD on this one.
-
oohhh i hope it's a sparkly secret!! bets are on girls LOL!!
-
thanks for all the well wishes re the terrible tonsils. unfortunately it aint good news. went to the drs today for my next injection and told him that my neck was really aching. he touched the side of it and i think i almost hit the roof. so i was sent to hospital.
have been there all day having various specialist poke and prod me, and despite the hard core pain relief i felt every little bit.
TMI info warning!! turns out the infection spread into all my lymph nodes down one side of my neck and have 'liquified'. didnt know they could do this. so gross. pity the dr was soo damn cute! LOL!
i have 3 days to get better or else they have to chop me up and do weird stuff to my neck...but no, they wont take out the tonsils!! WTF??!!!!
sorry about the selfish post! i am slightly manic on the pain relief....:)

did you get married hayley???
ohh clare- you poor love, sounds nasty
now did any of you check out my new gallery pics yet or what??
i have still been sick...went to dr- got prescribed maxolon for m/s. took one tablet- b/f lewis and he then seemed really drowsy and totally affected by the medication. he then chucked his guts up all over me and had massive diaoreah. we are completely freaking out.
i just don't know what to do. i think i may end up on a drip tomorrow cos there's no way i'm taking more of these tablets.
-
Raino- You poor thing. Back to Dr's tomorrow. Drip better has to be a better alternative. You will much better with some fluids in you.
Ring the MCHN if you want to talk to someone about it and get some reassurance. Is maxalon ok for BF'ing generally? Is there any chance it is a bug and L has just got it? hence the vomitting and diarrhoea? Just thinking out loud...... is DP home yet? do you have some help?
Clare- You poor thing too! OMG sounds horrible, hope it clears up and you don't have to have surgery.
MM- Jelous of your holiday, can't wait to hear the news!!!
MD- Thanks. :) No point whinging, doesn't make me feel better. I guess i'm a little embarressed too, feel a bit like a neglectful mother, so i don't say too much! ;) I was a little worried for a while as i was losing weight, but i had an ok day today so maybe i'm on the mend. fingers crossed.
Cally- you have to watch those blackouts, that's when the most babies are made! Always a baby boom, 38 weeks after a blackout.
Kate- Clever little cookie going backwards- i keep showing Lu but head first seems to be her favourite dismount at the moment!
Exhausted. Hi to everyone. I'm off to bed.
-
Rainy, do you think L might possibly have a bit of gastro, did he have a temp or fever signs at all? Ah you poor thing. Maybe ring the breastfeeding/pregnancy Drug phone number at Monash Med Centre, 03 95942361 and ask about the Maxolon. I rang them for the first time yesterday and they were excellent re possible side effects, etc.
Clare - oh my dear that sounds positively awful, the liquifying especially! I hope they gave you the good stuff (pain relief). Our FDC lady's daughter had her tonsils out and I cannot believe the drugs they've got her on (!!) Liquefying nodiethingies sound they need hardcore drugs. Am thinking of you and sending shiny bright getting better vibes!
-
Rainy - how are you and L today??? Been thinking of you.
MM - TELL US!!! I think you are engaged.... or married!!! how exciting!
Clare - that sounds terrible, you poor poor thing. is dh there this week? i hope so. i have never heard of anything like that. i hope you are on the mend so no 'chopping' involved...
Ange - i dont think you sound neglectful - unless i am the worst mum ever - N often plays by himself and i dont have MS. i hope you feel better soon.
Cally - how are you going at work? how was K last night?
better go - off to melb today so lots to get ready
-
Happy Birthday Jack!! :happybirthday: Hope you have a wonderful day with your Mum and your brother!
Ange, noooo don't be embarrassed or ashamed, you are doing a wonderful job to stay present to Lu even under very difficult circumstances! I really hope the MS is starting to subside and you'll start feeling more 'normal' (well as much as you can when you're pg).
Also I was wondering last night how Leanne is getting along? She had a house full of sickies recently too. Hope all's ok there and the pooing has stopped where it should and started where it should!!
-
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACK!! HOPE YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY:happybirthday:

HAPPY BDAY JACK! sorry i missed that earlier. xxx
