PREGPAN!!! Ive missed you too xoxoxox LOL if Dwyane keeps going on about another baby I think we might haha. I think we will start TTC in 6 months to a yr. We are staying at the Mandira, its very nice :)
I really need to get back into the loop here. Chatting here helps me know where Rory should be ..iykwim. For example are the FF bubs still having bottles?? What are the bubs eating through the day?
Rory has a bottle first thing in the morning, then 2 wheetbix for breakfast, a vegemite sambo, cheese stick and yoghurt for lunch...dinners are a bit of a nightmare at the moment, he is having mashed veg (pumpkin, carrot, potato, sweet potato, cream corn) with a tuna mornay sauce and fruit after. He also has his suppy cup of water during the day.
He was fussing through dinner for so long and its only after I dropped his afternoon bottle that he has starting eating dinner again. Im going to try start him on what we are having for dinner soon since I have realised that it wasnt what I was feeding him, it was just that he was full from his afternoon bottle and not interested.
sorry to babble everyone :)
-
hi Renee
How exciting for you going on a nice holiday! Re food/bottles: Hannah has 3 bottles of cows milk - morning , lunch and before bed. She'll have a thick piece of Raisin toast and 1/2 weetbix for brekky, a sandwiche and fruit for lunch, biscuit and cheese for afternoon tea, dinner ranges from tuna mornay, spagettie bog, chicken balls, lamb cutlets or whatever we are having.
-
Jut a quick one from me today - been in Wagga all day and not long got home.
Hey Chepie! Great to see you back hun. So how's life been for you while you've been MIA?
And Renee! Hello to you too! I was thinking of you the other day actually. You've been super busy with work? To answer your Q, Alister still has 5 bottles of formula a day (170ml), brekkie is fruit and porridge or vegemite toast, He has a few snacks though the day of arrowroot biccies or those rice ones with the hole in the middle, a piece of fruit, for lunch it's a vegemite sandwich and fruit, and then for dinner it's usually veges off my plate and some of his own. He's not a big meat eater yet. I tell ya though, I don't know what he does with it all because he has the skinniest legs you've ever seen. If he burns off all he eats like this when he's a teen I dread the thought of the weekly grocery bill.
-
OMG I have a piggie on my hands. N has 3 bottles of cows milk - morning, afternoon and night before bed. they are 100-200ml each - were all 200ml but i notices he wasnt finishing them so he does about 150 morning and afternoon and 200 before bed. he eats some fruit when he is up at about 6am and then bfast is usually some cereal and maybe some toast. then for morning tea more fruit and/or crackers and then lunch is uaully vege soup or baked beans or something like that and a yoghurt, afternoon tea more fruit or veges (peas or cherry tomatoes) and a pikelet or crackers and cheese and then dinner is something we eat (pasta, cottage pie, curry and rice or something) plus some veges to munch on and some more fruit or something like that... and he may also pick up other things through the day... pig! he will also drink about 150ml of water some days... if i would give him fruit he would eat it all day!!
-
LOL Sherie, not working :) I got fired in the carpark! It was a new business and it wasnt taking off like they thought it would. Still p!ssed off about it, surely they could of atleast sat me down in the office and told me....maybe even 1 days notice would of been nice hah.

Hi ladies,
Great to hear that my cheeky little monkey is normal with his tanty and exploration phrase. He also seems frustrated at times, maybe because he can't communicate effectively what he wants or is not quite physically capable IYKWIM. This seems to send him off on a tanty at times.
I hear you ozstar about stopping bf. I miss it so. I was really sick with morning sickness this time round and I quickly lost my supply and Hamish didn't like the new flavour either so we stopped abruptly before I was ready. Big Hugs to you dear.
I have a little piggy too pregpan. Breakfast - 1 weetbix or bowl of other cereal if dad is around , then half a banana, then at least one piece of toast - if not two :o, and a drink of juice or water, 200ml of cows milk at morning sleep, fruit, biccy or rice cake on waking, Lunch - a vegemite sandwich, fruit salad (strawberries, grapes, mandarine, kwiw fruit, orange, banana , drink of water or juice - 200ml of cows milk at arvo sleep, fruit or biccy on waking, Dinner - It's amazing how much he eats at dinner. I fill a childs plate of diced vegetables or at the moment he's having lots of salad (cherry tomatoes, cucumber, capsicum, pineapple, cheese) with either steamed fish or grilled chiken breast. He's yet to refuse anything we try to give him. Today I left the fridge open and he helped himself to a mushroom and started munching stork and all. But I not complain as he's easy to please.
I know you ladies have been chatting about more things too but my mind is mush tonight, sorry. We are going to a wedding tomorrow which should be lovely and then Im working sunday nightshift (awesome !) so if Im not around much over the weekend I hope you all have a lovely time and will catch you all next week.
-
pp- you'll have to join facebook if you want to know people's real names ;)
hi renee, yeah i can't believe i'm 20 weeks either, amazingly quick this time compared to last time.
cindy- have fun at the wedding
-
yep we have piggy-two-shoes too here...
brekky: 2 weetbix with cows milk and rice cereal, followed by a banana and vegemite toast.
mid morning snack of fruit (watermelon etc) and a rice cracker
lunch: something hot, usually pasta or sandwhiches and more fruit
afternoon: arrowroot biccy, dried fruit (sultanas, apples etc) and maybe a cracker
Dinner: what we eat.
she also drinks water throughout the day. she has her sippy cup on the floor ready for when she wants it. we have to start giving her cups of milk but i keep forgetting...bad mummy...
Rainy: wow! 20 weeks! yeah you're right i remember with L it seemed AGES to get to that point!
Sherie: you and me sista! my girls eats us under the table and still only weighs 8kgs!
-
god i hate my mil!!!!
sorry to vent but they are coming down to stay with us this wknd.
originally they said they were going to be here at 4pm yesterday, then they changed it to 'lunchtime' today......so here i am, sitting here all ready for them.....and they send a msg saying they are leaving rutherglen now- which is 4 hours away!!! they are just so rude, always f88ing me around!!!!!
i'm so angry right now. i find people who are so casually willing to let you wait around for them so arrogant gggggrrrrrrr.
i feel like going out for the afternoon and coming back at 6pm
-
G, I can sense the tension in you hun  If I were you, I would put on a slap up meal, something very simple and tell them you didn't want to commit to anything better because of all the mucking around with their arrival time and you didn't know if they would be there in time for dinner. And in your nicest possible DIL voice too ;) There is nothing I hate more than people who tell you they will be there and a certain time and then jerk you around.
LOL Clare, they really must be meant for each other ;)
We have another molar coming through! On the top left hand side this time. He's not overly fussed by these ones really *touches wood*.
Re the egg, Alister hasn't had egg on it's own yet. He's obviously had it in bread and biccies etc, and no obvious reaction, but I'm not game to give it to him yet, same with peanut butter because of his eczema. My concern with the MMR wasn't the egg or possible autism links etc, but it just didn't sit right with me to do it as well as our life circumstances providing us with a relatively lower risk of getting it (small, localised population). Plus I didn't complete Paige's MMR either that she was meant to get at 4yo. So it's horses for courses really. I'm not offended by people who vax just like I hope I don't offend people by not vaxing :)
-
thanks sherie- i'm eating a whole box of cheezels now which is seeming to calm me down a little. it's just so typical of them, they do this sort of stuff to us all the time.
my family is so different, maybe it's just the way i've been brought up, but i can't stand the thought of people waiting around for me.
i've bought stuff for us to have a bbq for dinner, no doubt she'll complain about that!!
i can't believe A is not bothered by a molar. lewis is so upset atm, i figure he must be getting them. do they usually get the top or bottom first??
not offended at all by you not vax. the autism thing really scares me actually.
did anyone hear that police have actually confirmed that they body found in croatia is, in fact, the missing backpackers. i fee so sad for her parents
-
Good for you G! LOL nothing like comfort food to ease your troubles. Well if she complains about that I would be telling her to shove off. They are supposed to get the top ones first I *think* - no sign of Alisters bottom ones anyway. I know it's all cool re the vaxes :)
With that girl though, I heard on the radio yesterday that her Mum was concerned that they would declare the body hers even if it wasn't just so they could close the case so now that they have made that announcement it makes me wonder if that's what they did? I would hate to think that they could do that and get away with it though.
-
Raino, AAAAH for you hun. I can see it would be quadrupley irritating simpling because of the IL factor ;). Glad the cheezels are working! Soooo sad if it's Britt's body, I can't see how they would say they didn't think it was her when they first found it, how unfreaking cruel is that?!
Wow at molars coming thru with no fuss! E is working on some top teeth (next to middle front) and she's been a bit unsettled but nothing like she was with the middle front ones. The hole in her lip that she split spectacularly open yesterday is something else - it's all swollen and sore and blergh looking. She did it right in front of me and I got a reeeeeallly good look at how deep it was in the second before it started to bleed (and bleed and bleed!) and I was beside myself at the thought of her needing stitches. I got the impression at the drs if it'd been any deeper it would've been stitches for sure (and the word hospital got bandied around too) but luckily not. Anyway it meant she didn't go to care yesterday so I'm another 6 hours behind on my job app and my stress levels were thru the roof yesterday so I was like a zombie woman last night. I'm just so over being alone now, I told DH yesterday was one of those days where i *really* needed him to come walking thru the door at 4.30. My hormones are all over the shop too and I've turned into a fat acne woman with a three week cycle. BLERGH.
I have a little piggie on my hands too, it's 2 weekbix or equivalent in porridge plus fruit, yoghurt, toast in our house. But I'm only feeding her 2-4 times a day (usually 3) so I guess it all evens out. Really must get the poor little piggy weighed again, still paranoid cos she's gone back onto the one-boob regime again.
ETA -Trill- the family will be able to repatriate the remains and if there's any doubt I'm sure the AFP will do the appropriate forensic testing. Like the time they sent the wrong dead person instead of Jake Kovco's body.
-
hi there girls!
G: go the cheezels. i have this awesome image of you sitting on your couch chomping them on down LOL! wish i had some...mmmmm
MD: oh no! on all fronts! i musta missed the freakish lip busting episode! OMG! poor thing. no doubt it will heal quickly though
and 3 week cycles are the pits! my last one has been 3 weeks too. it feels like it never ends. this has been after having 5 week cycles since AF arrived back so feeling bummed. when does your man come home? cant be long now!!
wish i was there so we could hang out...
oh and BTW to the canberra girls i will be up in early Dec (around the 10th) as DH has to give a paper and i am soo gonna tag along for the ride... so we should meet again!!
-
marydean - oh no her lip sounds so sore, the poor little dear - hope it heals quickly.
rainforest - I had a MIL like that once !! I so do not miss her. Big Hugs and hope you got thru the weekend OK.
Sherie - I agree horses for courses totally. Im not set either way but if you don't mind me asking, does it cause any dramas when enrolling in school etc. Do you need to provide proof of vacc then ?? Just curious.
Cassius - Hamish likes to drink his milk from a cup ONLY if it has a straw in it  He uses cups properly when there's nothing in them but refuses them when full of liquid - go figure.
How many daysleeps are your little ones having ? H wakes about 7am then goes down btw 9 - 9:30am , then down again about 1pm. Both sleeps are btw 1 - 2 hrs in duration. He still can't wait to get to bed at night and usually is dead to the world by 6:30pm.
He's like his father, likes his food and sleep my boy.:lol:
The wedding was gorgeous yesterday if not with a bit of bad luck. It rained so was moved inside (beach wedding had been planned) then the poor groom was taken away in an ambulance just after the entree. The poor bugger was attacked by 8 thugs the night before and suffered concussion and other head type injuries. He was only released from hospital at 11am on the day of the wedding. You could tell he was struggling thru the ceremony. He did well to last as long as he did. He couldn't stop vomitting and was very pale. We are waiting to hear how he got on last night. So it was a relative early night for us as no-one really wanted to celebrate / party without the bride and groom.
Hello to all I missed in personals and big bellies rub to my fellow M2B's :bellyrubs:
-
JG: OMG! the poor bride and groom! i think that's grounds for a new wedding! i think i would do it again after such an intense experience!!
It seems our two are also similar in sleep. i used to fret that L was going to bed so early (6.30pm), but for the life of me i cant keep her up (or if i do she goes psycho...).
leila likes straws so maybe i can get her one of those for the milk. she's not great on drinking out of cups...tries but no cigar.
-
OH No Cindy! That's terrible for them. I hope they can recreate the day later (though I know it wont be the same :( ). I don't mind you asking at all :) I had to show their blue books when I enrolled them at preschool, but didn't for school. I got a Conscientious objection letter for Alister though and have sent it off to the immunisation register, so I should have no problems with it. If there is an outbreak of anything though, he will have to be 'excluded' for the duration, but I think it's a bit silly when there are older kids at school who didn't have all the vaxes they have now (Like chicken pox - I had to pay for my older three to have it cause it wasn't on the schedule, so any child older than 4 didn't have to have it), but aren't excluded kwim? So I've always thought that rule a bit silly TBH. Alister has 1 day sleep most of the time, but sometimes he will have two if he needs it kwim? So maybe once a week he might have 2. They are usually always good 2hr sleeps though so I guess he only needs one when it's that long.
Clare, I feel for you on the 3wk cycles. Mine are still 5wks but they aren't right kwim? I can't predict what AF is going to be like from one cycle to the next ATM.
Marydean, how's E's lip looking today? Lips are always the worst when it comes to that cause the flesh is so delicate there. The trick is getting it to heal enough so the next tumble does't bust it open again. Oh and am I right in thinking it's only TWO MORE WEEKS now? I had it mentally worked out in my head the other day LOL

Hi Girls
Took Sarah to the doctor yesterday for him to tell me that S has an ear infection as well as the cough virus thingy that DH gave to us. I had to ask the dr if a certain medication that I needed to get would go through my milk and he looked at me and asked how old S was. I told him and he started telling me that breastfeeding in babies over 12 months is for comfort only and there is no nutrition or benefit for her. He actually hinted that it would interfere with her growth as she won't eat as much of the 'proper' foods. I just calmly looked at him and said that I am aware of my options and feel that this is the better way to go for us. He tried to go on a bit more but I just firmly interrupted him and said 'so does (medication) interfere with feeding or what?' I think he nows gets it that I am educated on my choices and have made up my mind. Was pretty funny though. He most likely gets a lot of first time mums that just bow to whatever they are told. I've got to go back for another follow up appointment for myself so will see if he behaves then. ;)
Oh, and I gave Sarah some egg the other day (big hunks from fried rice) and she loved them and seemed to have no reaction so will wait until she is feeling better from her ear infection before getting vaccinated.
Rainy - I hear you on the PIL front. My in laws always did this to us. It would sh*t me right off, you would arrange dinner or whatever only for them to be late or walk in with dinner for themselves. Once they rang and said that they would be late and I reminded them that DH and I had plans out. They said no worries, just leave the backdoor unlocked! WTF!!! Hell no. Not on your nelly would I leave doors unlocked for them. Considering that they are never on time, it could stay unlocked until we got home 4-5 hours later. I (well DH ;)) told them to go have dinner or visit someone else and we'd call them when we were heading home. I hate not having a set time frame for visits. I think it is so rude to just expect people to hang around waiting all day for someone to turn up. MAKE A TIME AND STICK TO IT!!! If it looks like you won't be there by that time due to unforseen circumstances then call or sms and let us know!!! Its not hard these days to contact people. Argh! So  Rainy I know where you are coming from
MD - Oh poor E, with her little cut lip looking all trout pout.;) S has had quite a few and my god they bleed!!! Poor little munchkin....hope she is feeling okay. And poor you on the hormones front. Mine have been raging for the last week or so and DH has copped it all. Most of it he deserved but maybe just not as harshly. So I'm adding mood swings to the pregant/not pregnant list in the not pregnant column.
Didn't get a blood test yesterday but will next week if still no AF.
I went to DH school reunion last night and was left looking like a nigel no friends in the corner while he went off and chatted about old times. One of his mates and his partner were supposed to turn up so that the girlfriend and I could have talked. But nope, no show, no explanation. Pfft! Good night still, got some more funny DH stories.
S is awake so BBL
-
Hi everyone, hope you're all enjoying your weekend. :)
Kate - have to say, I'm lovin' the new Av!!One hot mumma!! Good on you for standing up to that doctor. The nerve of him!!! Poor little S with her sore ear - i hope it clears quickly for her.
bbl - have to read the girls a story before bed.
-
I thought the gods were smiling on me tonight - took off K's dirty nappy in her room and told her to go through to the ensuite for a shower. Got down there and the wee trail started 2 cm inside the tiled area. Still a mess to clean up, but a heck of a lot easier than on the carpet.
Then the gods stopped smiling - DH got home from cricket with a very suspected broken thumb - on his right hand! He's headed off to the hospital now to have it looked at, but he is going to be useless for a while. At least he can entertain K while I do the jobs. And at least he won't be at cricket for the next little while (so maybe the gods were still smiling at me)!!
Kate - silly doctor, doesn't he listen to the WHO? Glad you stuck up for yourself, hope S feels better soon.
JG - oh no, what a terrible thing to happen the day before your wedding!! Hope they find who did it, must have put such a dampener on the night.
We have a little piggie here too. Last night she had a big dish of casserole and then scoffed a whole banana! Unfortunately what goes in, must come out and we are typically having 3 or 4 poos a day!
Well better go and make sure all the bags are packed and lunches are ready for the big day tomorrow. DH and I will probably be much more upset than she will.
-
gotta be quick girls but just wanted to pop on and wish Cally good luck for tomorrow - you know Katie will be fine - I hope you and DH are as well!
-
Good luck tomorrow Cally and fingers crossed for DH. Or should that be thumb crossed
Just wanted to say that I've FINALLY posted the pic of my tattoo in the gallery if anyone wants a squizz. It's also on FB...
Have a good night girls
-
Cally - Good luck for tomorrow. Bummer about the broken thumb - but great that you can find a positive side to it ;)
JG - What a terrible thing to have happened on any given day, but to spoil their wedding day - how upsetting for them, and their families.
Hannah has 2 sleeps during the day as well, pretty much the same timing as H.
Rainy - I hope your weekend hasn't been spoilt too much by the 'outlaws'.
Md - i hear you on the acne. :( I think i need to go back on my Estelle pill, as it helps with my breakouts. I got my first visit from AF last month and she must have felt so welcome that she thought she'd pop in again not too long after that.
Hannah is now climbing chairs and stools. Today i turned my back for a moment and then i found her on top of the kitchen bench!!! I tell you, my hair is going greyer every day!!!
-
Jazmum- Climbing on the kitchen bench?? OMG, i bet you have a few more grey hairs!
Cally- Good luck today!
Kate- *wolf whistle* Noice av. How is Sarah? Is her ear infection better?
MD- Ouch on the lip cut. Gee they bleed alot don't they?
Joels Girl- What a terrible thing to happen to the groom. Bl00dy thugs. Would have really put a dampener on things. I'll take that belly rub thanks! ;)
Rainy- Did you survive luv? How did the weekend go? Have the outlaws gone? Hope you are resting up on the couch just like me today!
Had some 'friends' invite themselves over, which is usually fine, but they came Friday, left Sunday and hardly lifted a finger while i ran around after them. *rollseyes* My friends partner is one of those negative people who suck the joy out of everything, nothing is good enough, always whinging, you know the type? People like that drive me nuts. i need to learn to say no. I am exhausted today.
Hope you all had a better weekend than me! lol
-
hey everyone :)
eeek i am sooo tired ashas taken to getting up at 5am :( (which i might add is really 4am stupid daylight savings i never adjust well to it!!) i mean that means shes sleeping longer in her cot because usually she gets up between 1 and 3 to come to bed with us problem is when i bring her in shes really restless and wants to get up not to go back to sleep :(
starting to think alot more about ttc lately.. idk tho i still feel a real fear about being pregnant and going throuh labour again i mean even tho i had a pretty good birth etc i just feel a little traumatised by the whole thing lol.. that and my parents were always trying to have a second child and it never worked out for them so i have that in the back of my mind too.. more reason to do iut younger tho i think.... eeep lol i really want another baby but when it comes down to it i just cant bite the bullet so to speak haha idk what it is lol but theres something stopping me...
falguni - yeah i hate those kinda people!!! dp had his friend over all weekend too and while hes not negative they didnt do much cleaning either ofc grr so now my house is a pigsty when it was pretty clean before he came over and they sat on their buts drinking and playing playstation!!
jazmum - oh wow climbing chairs asha can climb the stairs out the front and back now but luckily not chairs yet!!
kate - i agree hot av youve got there! well done for putting that dr in his place!! i think ur right about some mums just going along with everything they say! i mean has he heard of the WHO? because they recomend breastfeeding till 2 dont they? lol
cally - yay for the wee not going on the carpet.. hope dps thumb is feeling better, or not lol whatever suits you best!
sherie - do you find lots of people give u crap about the immunisations? i think its cool ur making an informed decision not too but i know lots of people that wouldnt see it that way and would try and convince you otherwise.. how do you deal with that? if you have to that is...
cindy - ohh thats awful that poor bride and groom!! lol at hamish only drinking if theres a straw in the cup.. asha drinks with a straw cup too im not game to give her one without the lid on it tho i know shed just tip it everywhere!! ive only just started giving her bowls instead of just putting the food onthe highchair because she is so likely to just tip it all out and put the bowl on her head lol shes getting better at it tho because shes a bit more interested in actually eating the food lol..
md - is dh coming home soon? he better bring some good presents along with him to cheer u up!!!
wow at what all ur kiddies are eating i thought asha ate alot but i gues she dosnt really lol some days more than others i spose..
anyways i best be off because asha stinks lol hi to anyone i missed!! not promising to keep up anymore coz i never do anymore lol and then i feel bad for saying it..
hope everyones having a lovely day!!
-
hi all
firstly sorry i am such a bad buddy atm, i have so much on my plate right now i am find it hard to catch up.. so i will prob miss lots of things etc. just know i am thinking of you all and i do pop on to see how things are even when i dont have time to post
Ange - thanks so much for the mmr info - dh and i both had a read and found it really interesting. so sorry a bout your weekend, i hate negativity - it just brings everything down and is so draining. they should have been helping you out mrs preg and a 1 yr old!!
Jaz - WHOA that would freeak me out with the climbing!!! we are a long way off that here thankfully!!!
Kate - love the av, i always pictured you with blonde hair! i think i thought you looked the same as renee for some reason!
MD the lip cut sounds awful. poor E and you! are the school hols over yet?
Cindy - sounds terrible re the groom.... at least you got an early night LOL!
Rainy - i ms o with yu re the outlaws! have they gone yet?
afm - all is well. N is being delighful as usual... he is crawling around alot more now, still kind of commando but getting up more. in the last 4 days he has worked out how to sit up from lying down and now does it ALL the time and on sat he actually pulled himself up to stand from sitting... so coming along physically. he is singing away - bops to all music which is just adorable... has a few songs he can sing to or do actions to whcih is adorable. loves doing peekaboo for himself and is in love with his shape sorted right now. MD i saw your tips about messy play and think he woudl love that so will get som crayons/paint i think soon.
i am so busy at wotk - in melb tom to fri for work (staying weekend for a hens night too) - back suna nd then there for the day on mon again... and then is syd tue/wed next week for work too... madness. DH and N are cominf to melb woth me from wed-sun this time and i am trying to convince dh to take some time off the following week also and come to syd..
-
Jaz - Holy Moly on the climbing thing. I am so glad that S only knows how to get down not back up again. I'm only just getting the inlaws place a bit more Sarah friendly...its a never ending thing though. Once you raise everything to above their level then they shoot up or figure out how to get there.
FG - S had a crappy night last night which of course means so did I. Her nose is running like anything and shes still really clingy but I'm hoping the antibiotics will do the trick and quickly. I only just found out on the weekend as well that Dimetapp Infant is no longer available without prescription. That helped the last time she was stuffy but the doctor didn't mention it when he prescribed S the Amoxicyllin (sp?). Apparently, some parents overdosed their kids on Dimetapp and now the rules have changed so you can no longer get it over the counter for kids under 2. Argh...if I'd known that I would have asked the dr to prscribe some of that as well. Although, I'd think the Amoxicyllin would do the trick as well
Noni - S is the same with waking up at 5am. I can not break it no matter what I do. Not much help to you at all I'm afraid. Lets hope they decide to sleep for longer and got until at least 7 if not 8am. I'm with you on the TTC front as well. I'm thinking of it but am still a bit iffy when S pulls her bad nights or days. We've decided to go back to Fiji next May so would probably be best if I waited until after Christmas at least so that I can enjoy myself over there.
PP- I was blonde but have been a red head for a little while. Thank you for comparing me to Renee, much more flattering than what I actually look like. So cute of N to be dancing and singing. S just looks at me when I sing and dance like 'whoa, crazy lady!' You are definately one very busy lady with all the travelling you do for work. Hope you don't hate flying like I do. Although my last flight wasn't too bad even with the turbulence mid way through. I must have been too focused on Sarah...
-
OMG It just took me an hour to catch up on posts (and I probably can't remember half of it lol)
Rainy, is it scan day today? Hope it all went well. PLEASE tell us the gender!!!
JaZaH, I am so glad W is not a climber! That must be so scary!
MD, hope E's split lip is not causing too much trouble. Yay for your DH nearly being back.
Trill - my mum got a new fridge but it wouldn't turn on so she got a new-new fridge, then they went away for a weekend and the freezer was actually hot so spoiled all their food so they got a new-new-new one.
Cally, how did the first day of daycare go? Bet she was fine as soon as you were out the door
Cindy, good to see you back again. That is great news about H's eyesight. How is the pregnancy going? If I remember correctly you had irritable uterus last time?
Sorry to everyone I have missed, I am starting to think that sieve brain is the new normal for me.
OK, so karma bit me on the ar$e for laughing at all those poo stories - at the IL's I decided to have a bath with W, it was going well, just lying back relaxing, W was lying on top of me having a BF. Then when I sat him up I noticed a bit of discolouration. Further investigation revealed that he had pooed. On me. More precisely, on my muff hair LMAO. I have never moved so quickly in my life to get into the shower lol.
I am just going to have a mild IL rant:
*Since when do you feed 1 year olds raw carrot chunks?
*1 year olds don't need ice-cream cones for dessert
*If you want to give him a biscuit, call it a biscuit - don't call it cheese so you don't get told off!
*He is a bit clingy, but it isn't up to you to pry him screaming off me and take him outside because 'he will be happy if he can't see me'
And don't even get me started on BIL - he had a car accident about 5 years ago which left him with cognitive problems and depression. Unfortunately he keeps taking himself off the antidepressents and becomes acid. He had the ****s with us all week because 'everything revolves around William' - his dog had to stay outside (only because it has snapped at W before) and DH kept asking him not to slam doors when W was asleep. Also we were apparently talking over the TV so he marched down to his room and turned his computer up full tit while W was asleep in the next room - childish pratt - he is 24!
All in all, it was a horrible boring holiday.
Well, TTC cycle 4 was a bust. However, I have gained some serenity on the whole subject now. I was always thinking of how I would tell my beautiful friend that I was preg with #2 when she had been trying for so long for a first bub, and kept thinking that I would gladly give up my chance at a second bub if she could have one instead. So if it doesn't happen then I can accept that the universe took me up on my offer.
William is just grooving along. He can actually move his ride-on toys along now instead of sitting stranded on them lol. He doesn't have any new words but has a lot of chatter. He was fantastic on the flights (4 in total), he loves to look out the window on the way up and way down.

Arte - sooo glad you're back, I was starting to wonder how you were getting along! *PMSL and slapping the ground hard* at your muff-hair-poo story. Talk about poo karma! Sorry it was such a blerky holiday - bit like that when we visit the ILs too I'm afraid. So we don't, they come to us and are usually a bit better behaved away from their home turf!! Sorry your TTC didn't work this month, everything in good time .
Kate, I knew about the Dimetapp thing and stockpiled some while I could still get it (*ssssh*). The stooopid thing is you can still get it for the older kids - which I'm pretty sure is just going to lead to the same idiots who overdosed their little ones to try giving them the big kid stuff.
Pregpan I don't know how you even stop to scratch yourself hun! I can't keep up. I hope you have a lovely time in melb and syd.
Noni, I reckon when the time is right it will just feel right, and you won't have to wonder about it! Have you tried cutting down on other sleeps or putting A down a bit later in the evening? I can't really comment cos E sleeps until 7.30-8.00 but I have her up much later of an evening than most other families (worked well with us even with DD1).
Ange your friend's partner sounds like an energetic vampire! Hope s/he ditches them soon and moves on to greener pastures!
Far out JaZaH, sounds like H has a future career in mountain climbing ahead of her! LOL but I shouldn't as E is showing signs of developing climbing tendencies, it's those donkeychild legs of hers.
JG is the groom ok now? Far out although I bet it turns into one of those family legends in 20 years time.
Clare, woohoo on another Canberry visit, tho I might be looking a little distracted as our removalists will be lobbing up shortly after then! Although there is talk of a detour via Melb for the big road trip...
Cally, how did K go today? All well I hope. I'm sure she'll settle in just fine.
AFM - well E's lip is looking better and less sore today although she's still fussing a bit during meals (although that could be crankiness at mummy not serving the meal she wants!) She's now pointing and saying "ta" very politely when she wants something (it's pretty cute) and like Will she chat chat chatters along now. The FDC lady couldn't believe how much she has grown and changed in two weeks (DH is in for a shock, I think). I should be flogging myself right now as I have a job app due this week...ergh just can't raise the motivation. :( I want a holiday instead.
-
Oh my lord what a morning! I put Rory down for his morning nap after breakfast when he woke up 5/10 min later, I found him sitting in a puddle of spew :( I picked him up and he was sick all over me AND the wall behind me. We were both in the bath and he spewed again! By this stage I was crying because he looked so grey and sick. Took him up to the Drs straight away and he spewed a few more times in the waiting room (including on and infront of the reception desk). The Dr said he has gastro! Apparently he is very dehydrated and I need to get fluid into him or I need to get him to the Drs asap.
My poor poor baby. He has been cuddling me so much which isnt like him at all. My dad tried to hold him so I could have a shower and he wouldnt let me go....he has NEVER done that.
-
oh renee- i'm feeing for you hun, lewis had gastro a couple of weeks ago and it was horrific. have you got any hydralyte?
arte- :lol:lmao at your pooey muff. very funny. holiday sounds a bit crap. that was so nice what you said about your friend being pg. i think your zen-like-ness will reward you very soon
md- what time does E usually stay up till at night?
kate- hot av. did sherie do it? i can't beleive that gp told you to give up bf. dumb ass. as soon as i went to the gp for my pregnancy he told me i had to stop bf lewis. i just said 'yeah, no worries, i'll stop tomorrow' lol :lol:yeah right! dumbass!
ange- your friends sound like nightmares! wanna go swimming next week? i went to baby bunting to check out p&t. it's hot!!!!
cally- how's dh's thumb going?
well.......afm......i had a massive screaming fight with mil last night. she said i had 'taken her son away from her, that lewis needed to be disciplined, that he shouldn't sleep in my room, that my mother didn't bring me up well (a low blow considering my mum passed away from cancer), that they were devestated when they found out we were having lewis, that they're embarrased we're not married and basically just critiscised my parenting the whole time....she also said i didn't keep my house clean enough, didn't cook for dp enough and needed to smack lewis.
she is a miserable, insensitive, mean, self centred biatch. i was so upset, i bawled my eyes out.
dp is so angry at her for questioning my mothering, as he reckons she was a horrible mother when he was young, and he just loves how i am with lewis. we're basically not going to have anything to do with her anymore. it's sad but she has no friends and is going through huge fights with women at her work atm to the point where she is going to have to resign because of it all.
she is so insensitive to me- last time i was pg she said that i looked ike the michelan man.
she makes me feel so bad about myself. i can't go there for christmas now.
they left this morning before we woke up without saying goodbye.
my scan today (thanks for remembering arte) didn't work as bubs was in a difficult position. i have to go back next monday, hopefully it will have moved by then.
thanks for istening to me rant, i'm pretty devestated. couldn't sleep last night. can't stop replaying conversations in my mind.
i don't want anything to do with her ever again.
-
Art - Poo Karma strikes again! You made me snort water outta my nose when I read that. Not a pretty site unto itself. I hear you on the MIL rant as well. Why can't they just respect our decisions instead of forcing theirs onto us. My MIL today told me that she will feed S anything she (MIL) wants. Like a whole mini tub of icecream. 'Oh, but its a lite version' WTF!!! Like that matters. I told her that if she doesn't listen to what I tell her to feed S then S will never stay over. My child, my rules. She laughed it off but I think it got through a bit at least. And poo to your BIL for being a selfish bugger. No reason to crack tantys.
MD - So true about the Dimetapp. The parents will just buy the 2year+ version and give that instead. Good luck with the job app, sending you all the motivation vibes you need to get it done. :whip::hooray:;)
Renee - Aww, poor Rory. He must be feeling miserabubble. I hope its only a 24 hour thing and he feels better really soon. Nothing worse then feeling like you can't do anything when your child is ill.
Rainy - I want to give you such huge hugs. How dare your MIL say stuff like that. It sounds like she may need to go to the doctors to get her hormone levels checked out. Maybe they could commit her instead... ;)I'm glad you have DP there by your side to back you up. Try to relax for yourself, Lewis and bubs. Take a nice bubble bath and remind yourself that it is her problems that caused this and nothing that you did. You are a great mother and are following your instincts. NOBODY has the right to tell you how to raise your children...(except maybe the baby daddy ;)) Sleep better tonight darl
-
Renee - poor little Rory, and poor you :( it's horrible when they're sick isn't it. I hope he gets better really quickly. Have you been around anyone who has been sick recently?
md - Miss E has a great sleep in! what time does she go down at night?
arte - i had a good laugh at your poo in the bath story. How gross is that!!!!!
pp - your schedule tires me out just reading about it!!! You must have heaps of energy, because i think you do a wonderful job of being a career woman and a wonderfully attentive mummy :)
Rainy- you poor, poor love. What a horrible woman she is to say those things to you. It is sad that she isn't going to be in your lives anymore, but she has definitely brought it on herself. Life is too short to surround yourself with people who make your life miserable. Hopefully she will wake up to herself one day, and realise that you are a wonderful woman, mother and life partner for her son. Big hugs to you.
-
gotta be quick as i am in the lounge waiting for my flight. just wanted to say Rainy - that woman has NO idea. you are sucha wonderful mum, from all i have seen/read lewis could not have found a better mummy. and if she has a prob with you not being married - well i know you wouldnt mind a spot of bling!!! io am glad dp backed you up, that is the important thing. take some time to enjoy your family and know you are the better woman. xxx
-
morning everyone.. another early one for us lol..
just jumping on while ashas occupied with in the night garden lol i know i shouldnt let her watch tv but i need a break sometimes lol..
rain - what a horrible selfish woman!! so good dp backed u up.. ur a wonderful mum and like everyone saying no one has the right to tell u how to raise your bubbas!! hope you get some nice relaxing time to yourself so you can unwind!!
renee - ohh noo poor little rory thats awful!! hope he gets better asap!
md - we really struggle to keep asha up any later than she is because she just cries and winges to go to bed! last night we managed to stretch her till 9pm and she litterally went and stood up holding her cot crying to get in!! gues we just have to put up with it! i find sometimes she will have a sleep in the late afternoon (4-5) and that will make her stay up a bit later but she wont always have it and i feel kinda bad putting her to sleep when thats her 3rd sleep for the day and shes 1 lol ahhh well u do what u gotta do i spose! and with the ttc thing i hope your right.. i kinda feel like i will never feel 100 percent ready again but i desperately want to have kids its weird i think i will always be scared because my parents tried and tried for another baby and my mum had many misscarriages until finally when i was 9yo she fell pregnant again but the bubba only made it till 24 weeks i think and she was born premie and didnt make it because she was so weak.. i think seeing that makes me more reluctant and fearful to try again but like i said i am desperate for another baby i dont want asha to be an only child like i was...
anyways best be off dont have much longer of ashas show and i have things to do lol..
hope everyones having a sleep in!!
-
Rainy- What a sour old cow. From all that you've said she is a nasty piece of work and i hope you havn't taken what she has said to heart. Even when we don't like people it's hard not to be effected by things they say. Lewis is a gorgeuos, placid, lovely natured little boy. You are doing a fantastic job and she is probably jelous of your relationship with her son.
And as for your mother not bringing you up well comment, that is just a rediculose, below the belt comment. Unfortunately evil, unbalanced people often lash out wish the comments they know will hurt the most. I may have only met you a few times, but i can already tell ya, she is FOS.
Not that it is ANY of her business what you eat, but a breastfeeding woman who is growing a baby needs to snack all day as far as i am concerned. You look great, and are perfectly healthy.
I'm glad DP was supporting you, not that it makes dealing with her much easier.
Sounds like you are better off not going there for christmas, she will just make you feel miserable.
What a ****ty weekend. And to top it off bub wouldn't play nice in the scan! Big  for you.
Swimming next week would be great. How about Wednesday? i'll book an early slot. Going to the baby and kids expo Friday and Sat this week, so if there are any great deals on th P&T i'll let you know.
ARTE- at poo topped muff hair! DH asked my what was so funny when i was reading it and started laughing!
RENEE- Hope the gastro is subsiding now. IT seems to be going around ATM, doesn't sound plesant.
KATE- WTF do some people think??? i mean seriously who would feed someone elses kid something that they didn't want you to? Or say they would feed them whay THEY liked? MIL's hey?! :wall:
MD- Lu says Ta too when she wants something. It does sound very cute. But now she points and says Ta to anything, just to see if i'll give it to her i think!
Prepan- I too need a sleep just reading about your next week! Have a great time at the hens weekend.
gotta run. bbl
-
pregpan - have a good day dear, I see your as busy as ever. Good on you.
art - nice to see you again. what a funny poo story. That is a great attitude about TTC. Sending you lots of babydust for next month.
rainy - What a nerve your MIL has, so glad your DP backed up you. It is really her loss, she misses out on sharing in your lovely family. I know it's difficult (nearly impossible) but don't let her get to you. Like I said before I had a MIL like this last time round and I DO NOT miss her **** for a minute. Big Hugs to you.
Jazmum - How are you today, anything exciting planned ?
Renee - How is rory feeling today ? Poor little tike.
MD - Glad to hear E's lip is getting better. Sounds like a clever girl you have there saying ta and all.
Noni - I know what you mean about the night garden, it's when I put my washing on
The groom is still in hospital. Havn't got an update but he was having another CT scan yesterday, the poor dears have missed out on their honeymoon as well. Its not fair they are such a lovely young couple. Hope they have travel insurance and can re-schedule the h/moon.
For my fellow M2B's - how is this preg different from your 1st ? For me it's been the total opposite. I had terrible MS this time round, have no movement yet, am much much smaller than I was at this point with Hamish. I don't think of the baby constantly  as H keeps me so busy etc......... Given that it's so different we are thinking it may be a girl (scan will tell us on the 29/10).
I have a horrid headcold ATM. So taking it easy and hoping Hamish is happy to amuse himself inside today.
Hi to those that I have missed. Have a good day.
-
hi girls!
sorry have been lurking and trying to post but if it's not leila it's DH asking for me...so popular HAH!
G: man oh man. big massive cuddly hugs to you:hug:. what a frikkin b*tch. i would have cracked it major time too. and you are right, cutting off contact after that display of venom is the best (IMO). i was getting riled up just reading about it; let alone being the one it was directed at. what a horrible person. it's a good thing that they left this morning. dont feel bad.
Arte: way to go on the bath poo! LOL!
JG: oh the poor guys! i hope the groom is ok.
Ange: ohhh you are going to the expo too! can't wait. it's gonna be awesome! are you bringing a pram or slinging it??
oops gotta go DH home...

Rainy - Not fair! What a horrible cow, you are right, you are much better off without her. Leave her to rot in her own miserable little world. The question is, why do you let her get under your skin that much? You are a gorgeous mum and obviously the best thing that ever happened to your DP. I want you to visualise a glowing golden bubble all the way around you and see anything she says or does just bounce back right off it straight back to her. She's just toxic.
Renee, oh I hope little R is feeling much better. And no one else in the household gets it!
Kate - thanks for the motivation vibes, as you can see from me being on BB they haven't kicked in yet. LOL
Noni, the important thing to remember is that just because it happened to your mum doesn't mean it will happen to you. Maybe you could get some counselling cos it sounds like losing your sister was pretty traumatic for you and for the whole family.
LOL at A watching 'the Night Garden' - DD1 loves it but so far E hasn't been that interested (to many things to climb on near the telly, she gets distracted by them).
Ok well E is 'supposed' to go to bed 7.30-8.00 but while I've been slumming it with DH away she's been going 8.30-9.00. Which means she's really tired the next day. We're still half and half with the 2nd afternoon sleep. But DD1 and 1 also usually go to bed a little too late as well so we're all suffering the effects. Only TWO MORE WEEKS...ah I can't wait. But I've already warned DH he is coming home to a fat acne schlumpadinka. I don't think even two weeks of intensive self-work plus a few visits to professionals is gonna fix that.
:hug:s to everyone. I really must go and write that application now.
