Oh MY CONGRATULATIONS PREGPAN & NONI!!!!!!!!! How bloody exciting :) Aww now im annoyed I havent been keeping up with you guys. Oh thats really terrific guys, im so happy for you!!

We are going to start TTC #2 in two months. DH is SOoooo clucky! Although im thinking of going off the pill now because Rory took 6 months of ttc and with D doing site work (week on week off) its going to take a while I think.

Oh and Im going to be an Aunty whoohoo. I dont know if any of you guys remember but my SIL had an etopic pregnancy last year when I was about 6 months pg. After over a year of trying she is now 7 weeks pregnant!!

MD, there are no shops around here, if you are bored the only thing you can buy is a house lol. Not sure if they will accept our offer though, they wanted $125k and we offered $110K.

OMG Arte I wish we could buy a house for that price, we wouldnt have a mortgage to pay! Ohhh the bliss. I really hope you get the house, fingers crossed.

Renee - YAY you are back! Good luck with ttc, how exciting! I hope R has a baby bro or sis soon. Thats good news about your SIL, she must be excited but a tad nervous too? Thanks for all the msgs re the BFN. Its just one of those things atm if it happens it happens if it doesn't it doesn't. I'm ready but not sure L is.. At playgroup the other day he wanted to play with a 4 month old but he's just so rough.. I was holding her earlier in the day and he came up and screamed and tried to climb on my lap! DP and L have both been asleep for an hour or so and I'm bored! I cleaned up and am now watching Mcleods but can't really get into it.. Would be the perfect time to scrapbook but I need more supplies :(

Is anyone still getting up to their child during the night, or am I the only one!? I know the past week she has had her ear problems, but I would have thought that after 3 days on antibiotics it would be improving by now? Panadol doesnt seem to work, last night painstop did not work either. I feel absolutely exhausted and I really feel like lack of sleep is starting to affect my parenting. We are going to Melb this week and I can just imagine she will keep the whole house up all night. I'm starting to get desperate, I just need sleep. Last night I got SO angry with her, I dont know where the anger came from I am usually an easy going person (I've kinda realised that possibly my pill is affecting my mood & changing me into a moody cow). I feel so guilty today that I got that angry with her, watching how cute she is now dancing to hi 5. I'm the worlds worst mum!! :(

MM, you are NOT the worlds worst mum!!! It is really hard to function on very little sleep. W still wakes 2-4 times every single night. Luckily for me though he just has a feed and goes back to sleep. I find myself vague just coping with that, don't know how I would get by if I had to stay awake longer than a few minutes. I really hope the antibiotics kick in soon and she starts to feel better.

Thanks Arte, its good to know I'm not the only one still feeding at night. Last night she had two 240ml bottles during the night, not because she needed them but because it seemed to be the only thing that would soothe her to sleep....for 10 mins lol.

Hey everyone! Just quickly cause I can't sit for too long. Lap went fine - bit sore and sorry still and shoulder tip pain an absolute KILLER this time (for those that don't know they bloat your stomach with gas to see everything in there and you often get residual pain from the gas up in your shoulder or under your ribs until your body absorbs it all and it hurts!) and it only just went last night. Otherwise it's OK - my navel is quite sore, but the other two incision sites are fine. So i"m just poking around doing little things here and there that I don't have to bend over to do and just taking it easy. DH got the kids to help him clean the entire house yesterday while I rested in bed and he did all the washing too - but now I have to fold it all :rolleyes: always the way! My gyno will call me later this week to let me know what they found/didn't find etc but he did send some stuff off to pathology - one of the nurses told me that.

I feel so bad.. I was baking muffins this morning and L was playing then all of a sudden he comes running into the kitchen straight up to me while I'm getting the muffins out of the oven and burnt himself :( he didn't even cry or anything so I didn't think it got him but when I was changing him I noticed he burnt himself on the arm and a bit on his chest just above his singlet! Poor thing! I feel so terrible about it :(

been feeling a bit ordinary so just popping on when i can to let u all know im alive haha.. have the dating scan next week (dr wanted me to wait till we presume im around 6-7 weeks) im pretty sure of my dates anyway but just standard procedure i spose.. also because we might have to tell people early because of chrissi and food itll be good to know everything looks ok and that theres a heartbeat etc...
got ashas santa pic yesterday.. its cute, no smiles tho lol she was a bit frightened she didnt really wanna sit there n the lady asked us if we wanted to try again to get a smile and when we took her back over to him she started to cry lol she did ejoy the chocolate he gave her tho hehe..
i cant believe my bubby is getting so big weve started going into size 2s!! is anyone else moving into size 2 or is Ash just huge lol we bought these overalls for her in 2 and i thought theyd be a bit baggy lol but theyre a perfect fit haha..

MM- When Lu had her ear infection etc. I was getting up to her for about 2 weeks. The first lot of AB's wasn;t working and she still had a tmep, so i went back to Dr's and she gave us a different one that knocked the infection on the head. I too was a tired grumpy biartch and was getting mad at evryone/thing. It is totally understandable and it will get better, i promise! Hang in there.

Trill- Glad all went well, hope the pathology results are A-ok. I hate folding washing, but at least you can do it sitting down if you need to.

Had a run in with a red bellied black snake at the back door on Friday, it was about 1.5m from the door. Now i am too scared to go outside, i have a real phobia of snakes. Not sure why but i am petrified of them. Give me a spider or shark anyday!

i've been reading but not posting...so exhausted atm. lewis has been sick and grumpy and whingey and completely doing my head in!

hayley- i have been up all night the last week. it seriously affects my head-space and i don't feel like doing anything! yesterday i curled up in a little ball in bed crying until df came home and saved me. i went to bed last night at 7.15pm..

sherie- glad surgery went well. hope your recovery is short..

cally- have to tell you that you are a total lifesaver. after 2 nights of no sleep whatsoever, i read your post about your vaporizer and remembered that i had one in the cupboard somewhere. df pulled it out and set it up and lewis slept for 5 hours straight, i wanted to come around and give you a big kiss.

ange- snakes are my biggest nightmare, i hate them so much! df came in here before with a frog he'd found outside and i screamed at that. reptiles suck!

nella- accidents happen hun, he'll be fine. big hugs

renee- great to see you back!

arte- how did you go with the house offer?

Ohhh Rainy!! I'm so sorry I hope L is better soon. As you know I totally know what you are going through, it does my head in as well. I guess I just expect that I am a mother now and should be able to take it and deal with it (not true of course I've now realised). Its good to know that we arent alone. I've done the crying in bed thing as well plenty of times. Did you get a decent night of rest last night? I just had a little 2 hr arvo nap then while M sleeps, to catch up a bit. You will be fine with your little newborn, it will be a bit of an adjustment but at least this time around you know what to expect, you are a pro breastfeeder and you know how to care for a newborn. I'm sure your DF will give you a lot of support he sounds great.

Noni - YAY cant wait to hear about your family's reactions to the pregnancy.

Falguni - You are kidding, I hope to god these AB's work. Gosh I had no idea they couldnt not iykwim. Wow you must have been so tired, I feel like such a whinger now. Hmmm I wonder how we will go if her ears arent clear by this Thurs when we are due to fly out. Oh that snake sounds scary, I hate them too, but would much prefer a snake over a shark lol.

Went to the beach this morning, must have tuckered M out big time as she has been asleep since 1ish and its now almost 4.30. I'm not complaining. Mind you, now she might not sleep well tonight AHHHH you cant win!

MM- Does she still have a temp after a few days on the AB's? If she does, i'd take her back. MAinly b/c you have to fly to melba nd you don't want a sick little gal.

Rainy- i too have freak out moments where i wonder how on earth i'll manage. I mean my house is a pigsty and i only have one child?! But........ then i realise, what's done is done, and there is no taking it back, so i guess i'll just deal with it when it comes to it! You will be fine. Especially when your DP pulls his finger out and gives you more of a hand. Correct me if i am wrong ladies, but sometimes being preg is harder than dealing with babies IYKWIM, especially the tiredness, everything seems so much harder when you are tired.

Nella- Poor little man, i can't believe he didn't cry about the burn! Must be alittle toughie. What sort of muffins were you cooking?

more on Alex: if he's up when Jacks stirs, he goes in with me & helps pull Jack's blankets / sheets up & if he see's me with a bottle, he takes it in Jacks room & stands at the cot w8n to give it to him.
2nite, he comes up, throws his arms around my neck & kisses me over & over again on the cheek. I say thank you & he says "your welcome"

Smacking: I've done the odd smack & Jack is learning that when I get to the count of 2 to move his little bum. He very really pushes 3.

Jack had learnt where the chocolates are kept in fridge. He stands there & bangs on the door & when you open he point to the top shelf in the door.
He got up on the green plastic table today & stood there crying, think he was too scared to move. For some silly reason I asked Alex to help him down (prob thinking that alex wld have pulled him onto the futon being it was that close) but time.

Well ... 2mrw we head off, just b4 lunch, for our whirlwind trip to QLD. Boys are going to daycare in the morning so I can pack the car & do a quick tidy up then I get them on the way to the highway. We come back Tuesday week, but late & then there is unpacking the car etc & putting up my Xmas tree! Yee Haw!!!!!

I had intentions to catch up with you all but am feeling to sick. Dh has bought home a bug and I have been throwing up all night, I dont know how you pg ladies cope with morning sickness and a baby. Perhaps I dont want 4 kids after all lol. Hopefully it passes before swimming in the morning.

hayley- yeah i got a pretty good sleep last night finally! the vaporizer has made an incredible difference, i can't believe it actually. just think of me tonight when you're up with mads, i'll prob be awake too :)

ange- glad to hear i'm not the only one freaking out. i just don't want lewis to feel alone or neglected. i've never been away from him, so i'm freaking out about going to hospital even. i am looking forward to having the baby, but i just keep thinking if i'm this exhausted now- how will i possibly cope then iykwim?

Rainy: aww sweetie, i hope mr L starts to feel better soon. sleep deprivation is seriously debilitating. i have to say that it sounds like a pretty normal phase around the 28-30 week mark to have a freak out. i remember clearly starting a major freak out around this time as we were in italy and it hit me how close to D-Day we were really were. maybe read back over the old threads of that time with L and you might see something similar...just an idea...
and like the others have said, you've been down that road before (with a newborn), many things will be new of course, but the fundamentals will be the same. you'll hit the ground running i'm sure!!

Ange: eewww scary snake stuff!! especially red bellies. i would be totally freaking out too! we used to have issues with king browns. oh man, they freak me out...just the silence of them i think.

Sherie: so glad that it went all to plan. sorry tho that the recovery is the pits. i have avoided laps this far, and i tell ya, they dont sound too nice, so you are one brave woman! every little endo niggle that i get and i worry that it may be one step closer to the knife...yes, i kinda have a GA fear...

Noni: we havent done our santa pic yet. hoping to do it canberra next week at DJs like i did last year. last time L had just woken up and looked really shell shocked! the poor santa was a bit scared of holding such a small baby!
L has only just started graduating into 1s. but she has always been on the small side so is no real indication of the norm i'm afraid....

Leanne: oohh i hear ya sista. i soo want to be in bed, but i have sent DH off to buy me gelato (so i may be like you were this morning with the post-slushie low! LOL!).

MM: so dont berate yourself for losing the plot when you have a sick bubba! i had a shocker last week with L. sleep deprivation should never be minimalised. i too have spent many a night/morning/afternoon bawling my eyes out over the cot/dinner table/bed.

BTW the wee ride is a kangaroo baby bike seat. the kid sits in between your seat and the handlebars. it is sooooo frikkin awesome! it even has a little head rest so that they can have a snooze if they feel like it!! L just giggles and laughs the whole time. i like it because i can talk with her and keep an eye on her as i cycle. i also feel heaps more secure and balanced with her between my arms than on the back.

AFM: well i got to hold a brand new (just outta the packaging!!) baby today!!! OOOhhhhh i was sooo excited!!! how gorgeous and curled up and totally snuffly wubbly are newborns!! gawd they smell good! and he's not even mine!!!!!!!

yes, yes, clucky i know, but how can you resist?? there was even a birth options class going on at the time and all these pregnant chicks were so excited at seeing this new baby!!

Hayley - Rory was up from 3:00am - 6:00am this morning. I couldnt handle it, I didnt know what hit me (didnt help that I only just walked in the door at 2:00am). He doesnt usually wake during the night but if he does I can always get him straight back to sleep after a bottle, change or panadole (if he needs it). Last night though, NOTHING worked! He has been playing up more since Dwayne started working away *sigh*.

Leemar - mmm I like the sound of that fruity tingle slushie :) I am feeling rather average today too. I dont really drink and last night I mixed bacardi and vodka through the night....hot me like a ton of bricks!

We are getting Rory's 1st haircut next week. Just need to trim it to even it all up, he has long bits and short bits. My boy has a natural curly mullet...DH is proud haha

hope everyones doing well :) i was pretty sick this morning again :( dont remember feeling like this in the morning with asha but im not really sure because if i wanted to i could just stay in bed all day anyway most of the time haha.. i thought it was more in the afternoon/night tho but i get that as well oh the joys!! much more tired this time too but i am running round after asha lol and i think im crankier lol but im not sure..hoping its a boy this time because im really not keen to have more kids but i think dp will pressure me to try for a boy not that hell be dissapointed with another girl just that he wants a boy somewhere down the track as well.. i do too but i doubt i could look aftre 2 kids while i feel like this lol..

Noni- it has vodka in it and some fruity mixer and its in one of those frozen coke machines. OMG they taste really good but cause you cannot taste the vodka in it you tend to drink more and then the vodka sort of creeps up on you.. lol.

Well I am still feeling average. DH woke me up at 4.30 to tell me L had spewed throughout his cot. Had to wake him up and change him and clean his hair, then had to rinse off his bedding and put it in the wash. He went back to sleep at about 5.30 till 7am. I have a belly shoot to do in about 15 mins and hope L stays asleep while I do it.

OMG, W did something to the computer and now the writing is microscopic

Methinks I will come back later when I don't need a magnifying glass to read it lol

woo hoo! now i will know what ingredients to get!! yay!! Now i just need to find someone to share the love with me so to speak! LOL! i'm pretty sure DH would baulk at such a concoction...

Im off to playgroup and then to the post office to send my Christmas cards. Im annoyed, I spent hours sticking photos of Rory on the inside of all my Christmas cards and I just saw an ad for a website which uploads photos onto a card of your choice ,prints them with a personalised message AND posts them *sigh*.

its the negligent buddy here again! i wont even apologise this time, i think a few posts a week is all i will be able to do in the norm... life is so hectic!
n has an ear infection atm, poor little guy. we went to the dr yest eve and started on anti biotics (1st ever for him) and they seem to be doing the trick, he seems a lot better today. had him home with me today and we had quite a nice day despite me being majorly stressed re work and him being under the weather.
i am feeling a bit better - less nauesous now and a little more energy. its good, was not like me a few weeks back. off to the ob this wed and i cant wait!
Noni - i hope the sickness etc passes for you soon, how are you coping w A and feeling so rotten? well done on the avon, thats fab news. is your dp enjoying his job more these days?

hi gurls! well i am pretty excited about our road trip tomorrow! canberra and the gong here we come! he he he! never knew i would like spending hour after hour in a confined space with DH and a 15 month old!

not much to report here, EXCEPT, i got to hold ANOTHER newborn baby today!! omg omg omg, he was just the CUTEST (bar Leila of course ;)). he was such a calm little thing, and everytime he heard mums voice he would try to look for her...so amazing. i reluctantly handed him back when he tried to go for my boob. so gorgeous (and TINY!). you forget just how tiny...

Clare - LOL hmmm someone sounds very clucky! You make me laugh! What am I missing, where are you holding all these newborns at or are all your friends having babies?

Oz - Glad you are on the mend. My DP brought home a bug last week too, was horrible. I dont know how I'll handle the ms second time around either, seeing as I distinctly remember having my head constantly in the toilet bowl vowing I'd never be pregnant again!

Falguni - No temp, I think she is on the mend now. We have a doctors appt to check on Wednesday.

Renee - Good luck with R's haircut. I cut M's the other night, what a disaster. Thankfully it grows fast. Did you figure out why R had such a rough night? I hope he has been good since then.

Noni - I've bought a couple of size 2 things as well, but I must admit they are still a tad bit big. M has dropped a bit of her chubbiness since she has been walking.

Pregpan - Ohhhh no I can sympathise with the earache. Its terrible for them. I hope he gets over it soon, nothing worse. I can imagine your night times have been rough as well. So glad you are feeling half decent now.

Well I got a full nights sleep last night, which indicates to me that M is on the mend. Thank god. Poor chook, but back to the doc this week for a check up. Thank god for that sleep though because I REALLY needed it.

Hehe Clare, I hope you know these babies. I have a mental pic of you sneaking into the local maternity ward and stealing cuddles with newborns while their mums are sleeping lol

Clare, Ange, Cally and anyone else that uses cloth nappies - can you tell me what you used for a newborn? My cousin is very keen to use cloth but I don't know what system to recommend to her for a new bub. I thought the OSFA pocket nappies might be a good solution but she is only little (a shade over 5 foot and about 50kg) so I don't think she will have a very big bubba and the ones I looked at all start at 3.6kg.

lewis is doing much better now.i think the antibiotics have really done the trick. i've got so much cleaning to do today it's not even funny and i can't be bothered even starting. df's brother is coming down from sydney tonight for a visit so that will be great.

renee- lewis has a curly mullet too! we're not going to cut it though cos it looks so funny.

pap- i had a dream about you and noah walking along with a little girl with lots of dark curly hair and her name started with N as well..

well ive got my dating scan booked in for saturday.. i pretty much know my dates anyway as ive said feeling pretty good this morning, which ofc makes me worried ahhh u just cant win when ur pregnant!! the dr got back to me on ashas lip he said that the childrens hospital said i have to wait atleast 3 months and if were still worried about it we can get her seen then, think it has something to do with how many teeth she has and her age.. im not really sure..
arte- with a new born its best to start with a system that includes a cover to catch the poosplosions lol.. so a fitted and a cover like baby behinds or flannel flats and covers untill they get a bit bigger..
mm - glad m is on the mend.. ashas not really chubby either now shes running around but shes too tall for the ones usually.
cassius - awwwww a little newborn!! theyre so cute n tiny.. i havnt seen one so new in a while actually.
katie - glad you and l are feeling better..
pap - some days i cope better than others with the sickness.. its kinda alternating between mornings and nights and i must say its easier with asha if i feel sick at night because dp is here and shes winding down for the day at that point.. mornings are hard if im sick especially because i have to make her breakfast and i just wanna stay in bed lol.. i find im really cranky and emotional tho more so than before so i think thats a bit harder because im just constantly annoyed by everything.. oh and dp is enjoying his job more these days thanks for asking :) hope ns eair gets better asap!
md - lol avonlicious christmas bonus haha.. the first payment ill get will be soonish n itll be about 150 minus the few things i bought for myself lmao couldnt help it!! the next one will be just after christmas so i dont think ill do as well because people will not be looking to buy at that point..

no, not stealing newborns LOL! a few friends have popped all around the same week. all boys too!

arte: re the nappies, we had the Bum genius, but cause L was so tiny (2.7kgs) she was too small. we had to wait quite awhile before it was ok to use...

oops better go DH can't multitask...

Just quickly, in the middle of putting the groceries away!

Arte- Lu was little as well 2.6kg's. I used bamboo prefolds and terry towling nappies with fleece and pul covers. I did have some newborn size bubblebubs and beetlebums that fitted ok too but mainly used flat nappies while she was small and squirting poo everywhere! I have heard newborn kissaluvs are great, also any newborn bamboo fitted nappy (FionaJill from here makes some, but not sure if her wahmnaps store is open atm as she has a newborn) and cover would be good. But the general concensus seems to be that fitteds or flats and a cover work best for newborns. ;) Catches all the poosplosions the best! :lol:
