Oh wow Lp you really have been through a lot, no wonder you havent been around. Its good to hear that things are getting better though.
PAP I am in a bit of a cooking mood and might make something sweet for DH. He doesnt want me cleaning the shower so I will make him do it later.
-
It's really hot here too, We will definately be swimming again this afternoon.
PAP ~ Although they stay here often, the girls are with my brother again now, He had an extension put on thier house so they have more room & they are much better behaved since they have been living with us so he can handle them well now.
Katie, I didn't know you were a photographer.. You must have some great photos! Lucky girl, DF would fall over laughing if i asked him to clean the shower
-
LP its great that the girls are with your brother, sounds like you did a really good job helping put them on the right track.
I think I might fill up L's little pool and have a paddle.
-
wow LP it sounds like you have obviously done a great job with your nieces and it is good they are back with their dad.
well girls i am off to melb this weekend for a week of work meetings - and night functions.. wish meluck as i dont know how i will have ther energy for it all. dh and N are coming from Sun-wed (just going on sun) which is great. it is all a bit stressful too as my gfather has had to move to a high care home today so poor mum has been dealing w that and will need lots of emotional propping up also (but i am not staying w her i am staying where all the meetings are)
-
Good to see you back LP! Hope things are on an upward swing for you now and that dairy free pays off for you all.
Oz, why doesn't he like you cleaning the shower? You said you tested last monday but you didn't tell me the result - did I miss something? I am 9.5 weeks now.
MD, my mum tried to drop the Nana from Nana Sue, so I jumped in first started calling her just Nana. She should have kept a good thing - now W calls her Nana Woof lol (she has a lot of dogs). Our fixer-upper will be an ongoing project, there are a lot of little things that need to be tidied up.
PAP, hope your grandfather is comfortable  That must be hard. I am really close to my granddad, I hate the thought of him getting old.
Ange, how is your garden going? You win the corn-off - we didn't water ours over christmas when we went away and it is still only a foot high lol. We did get some potatoes and peas though. W and I go out to the garden and pick peas and eat them from the pod, yummy.
Better go, see you next week
-
LP - Sounds like you've had a tough few months, so glad to hear things are getting back on track. Its great that S is so into her swimming.
-
Hi Girls,
Welcome Back LP and sending you heaps of hugs.
Well I am sick with the flu. Started back at work yesterday and gee I have 3 weeks
worth of work to catch up on. The kids are getting better and Livi is finally sleeping though again after about a week of waking up crying. They all started back at school
again yesterday and had a great time.
Rainy- Congrats on making full term and looking forward to your babys arrival.
Pap- Sorry to hear about your grandfather. Hope all goes well in melb.
Sorry but I have to go X just woke up and is calling for me.
Hello to everyone and BBL
-
LP - far out, so pleased to hear you guys made it through intact. Hoping Shannon just gets better and better from here - mental health is hard work! Glad you've gotten the dairy thing diagnosed, let us know how S gets on. Have a read of Sue Dengate's website if you haven't already. xxx
Arte - LOL at Nana Woof. DD1 took to calling one Knitting Nanna and the other Nanna-with-the-black-dog. I'm hoping I've got a coupla decades yet to decide what sort of NannaName I'm gonna have.
PP - take care, sweet, you sound like you're burning the candle at both ends (again!). x
Rainy, I was thinking this morning about you being ready to pop (so to speak). Does this PG seem to you like it's gone a lot quicker than the first? I think about what ladies of leisure we all were back then, never again once you've had your first kiddlywink! LOL No babies this weekend, ok? My great-niece is called Lillith. Strong name!!!
Bleh, can't concentrate today. Got my cranky pants on with DH.
-
Hi girls!
LP: hi and welcome back! i'm sorry that you guys have had such a hard 2008. like MD said, mental illness can really take it out of ya. i'm glad that things seem to be getting back on track.
how awesome that you guys get to go swimming so often! i am so jealous! although the baths here are only a short walk, in this current heat, it's too hard and bothersome. hence i have had to buy a shell pool. it works nicely though as Leila gets one side and the dawg gets the other...not great for learning how to paddle though LOL!
Rainy: relish that tiredness! It's a great sign that your body is asking you to slow down. i know, easy for me to say as i am bouncing off the walls being so excited for you... :)
Leanne: ooh no! post travel colds are the pits! and so inevitable...hope that it goes soon...have you any pics of the trip??!!
MD: ohhh so THAT's where my cranky pants went LOL!
love the name lillith btw. and you're right, it does sound strong.
PP: if you need a time out zone this coming week, i am always up for skipping school and having a coffee!! LOL!
MM: oohh that hens night sounds like it's gunna get messeeeee!! lol! it should be heaps of fun!
AFM: well have gone into work today. feel really dizzy and unwell, but as i am not contagious the guilt factor got to me and so i headed in. that said, i have sat on BB the whole time LOL!
-
hello girls, still here, still pg :)
feeling lots and lots of pressure down below though, sorry! is it freaking you all out with all my pg talk??
katie- we're actually considering getting a cleaner just to do a couple of sessions at our house over the next couple of weeks- mainly to do the 2 bathrooms. they're just so disgusting and i really can't deal with it any longer. i've never had a cleaner before, so it feels kinda weird, but dad has offered to pay for it. i think he feels kinda bad that we don't have a lot of support. i didn't realise you were away from your family. are you originally from sydney?
pap- good luck with your super-busy weekend in melb. it's going to be 43 here on saturday so please take it easy. my friends from the cfa have been ringing me telling me not to stay on the mountain on saturday as they are predicting it's going to be ash wednesday again. great, that's all we need!
leanne- how horrible that you have come back sick, you poor thing and you sound so busy
md-this has been the quickest pg of all time, i can't actually believe it. last time i used to count down the days in my diary and it felt like i was pg for over a year. this one has felt like about 5 months all up. it was a lot easier ast time as i finished up work at 30 weeks and basically spent the last 12 weeks sleeping, eating, relaxing and thinking about the baby. i spent so much time obsessing over whether he was a boy or a girl (we didn't find out last time) that i reckon the anticipation dragged it out even more. i actually can't believe i could go any minute and we're still not 100% on a name- even though we know the sex this time!
last time i used to read up in a book every week what stage the baby was at- you know, like if it had eyelashes or fingernails or whatever. this time the only way i know what week it is, is by logging on to bb and checking my ticker.
clare- thanks for being excited for me! i am excited too, the tiredness has definitely increased, and you're right, i do need to slow down a bit. i was going to bid on ebay on a cubby/slide thing for lewis but it's about 40km away so dh has banned me as he doesn't want me driving anymore except for short distances. how's your tonsils? i can't believe you're working when you're so sick.
well i've got mothers group this arvo- was trying to drag l's morning sleep out till 11am so that he would only have one long sleep today, but the little brat crawled up onto his armchair in front of the tv at 10.30am and fell asleep! grrrr, he's still asleep now so hopefully he stays asleep for a couple of hours
-
hey everyone, have caught up on all your posts but it's too hot to keep sitting here now to post much LOL - was 48 here yesterday and it's going to be just as hot again.
Alister had a tantrum that lasted for half hour this morning that was borne of pure frustration and being unable to communicate properly what he wanted, no matter what I tried to offer, he refused and threw himself down, but I think too he didn't really know what he wanted in the first place kwim? He decided in the end he wanted a banana and was happy enough after that. He's in bed now and I just think he's exhausted from the heat because he's not eating terribly well ATM either.
PP, hun, it would be hard for all your family. I hope your Granddad transitions OK.
-
Well I'm having a very weird moment. In the index it looks like Trill's posted but I can't see your post anywhere??? Is it just me? Have I really trooly finally gone nutso?
-
Sherie: oh those kind of tantrums are hard huh. we have had a few of those and you really feel for the little tikes. it must be frustrating. and yeah the lack of interest in food is most prob the heat. leila (who eats like a horse showed zero interest during the heatwave last week). 48 degrees is really full on. that is the hottest i have experienced and i still remember it clearly as i was 8 years old and the bitumen melted and we got the day off school.
Rainy: the pressure is also good! yay for bubs, sounds like they know what they are doing! i had loads of that towards the end, and i guess that is why my waters broke LOL! please dont stop talking about it! it's beautiful to share this with you pg girls!
-
OK, sanity floods back...I can see you now Trill!
I'm pretty sure E's first full-blown tantrum will be over food LOL. As it is she chucks what I've prepared over the side of high chair and screams and points frantically at the cupboard that has the biscuits in. Cos I'm really going to excuse you from dinner and give you a biscuit instead...NOT! I'm desperately trying to get E signing some more because we're having those frustration moments here too, Trill. Poor A, hope he feels better when he's had his sleep.
-
Hi Girls,
Well I am at work looking at all my paperwork and decided to come on and say hello.
Sherie- Yep Livi is a trantum chucker too. She stomps her feet and throws herself on the floor. I end up walking away from her and she soon stops.
MD- I have weird moments all the time....lol
Rainy have fun at mothers group
Claire- hope you are feeling better.
-
MD: ROFL at miss E!! i don't think you need signing for THAT one LOL!!
leanne: thanks babe! i am feeling better today, so hopefully the ABs are doing the trick. how is the mountainous paperwork going? feeling like the pro climber LOL!?
-
Welcome back LP!! We were all so worried about you, but understandable in the circumstances that you weren't able to log on. Glad that Shannon is feeling better now, hope he continues to improve.
I've done a fringe trim for K, but I'm not ready to cut off her baby curls yet. I know they will be gone forever once we do it, DH and I have such straight hair.
Heatwave - hope everyone is coping OK, esp Rainy and Ange. It's even going to be 36 here tomorrow, unusual for on the coast.
Clare - hope those tonsils are behaving themselves. Any chance of getting them out? Well done on the handmedowns. How do you keep clips in L's hair? K keeps getting me to put them in, wants to look in the mirror, then pulls them out and gives them straight back to me to put back in!! It's only stayed in once when I slipped it in while she was really distracted!!
MD - only a week to go to the surgery, that must be a good feeling.
Rainy - I have everything crossed that you last until Monday when DH comes back. That must be scary when they're predicting another day like Ash Wednesday.
PP - gosh you are busy. Hugs to you re grandad.
Leanne - welcome back. Glad you had such a good trip and well done for only having one accident!!
Arte - good luck with the move, hope it doesn't take too long to get back on line.
Well we had a quick trip to emergency last night. When I got K up yesterday morning I could see that she had been bitten by something and there was a spot on her elbow that looked like she was sunburnt (I thought maybe they missed a spot at childcare). I picked up some antihistamine from the chemist and then when we got her home last night, her elbow was looking all blistered and raised and there was another similar spot under her arm that definitely couldn't have been sunscreen. Anyway, doc reckons it was just a bad reaction to sandflies (she helped DH wash the car the night before). Did feel a bit guilty taking her there as she so did not look sick - she was playing with the curtain, dancing around, rolling on the floor etc. I do like living in the country though, nurse saw us straight away and only had to wait about 30 min for the doc.
Hope everyone else is well. We have a big surfboat carnival at our beach this weekend and the Roulettes are flying over - looking forward to that!
-
just popping in to say hello. Feeling tired and cranky so I will be back later when I am in a better mood.
