DH has been a bit clingy too. I'm very lucky in that he is a hands on Dad. He baths the kids, changes nappies, entertains and cooks so I have every faith in him that our babies will be fine. He gets nervous about what to dress them in though. I don't really mind what they wear around the house but I lay everything out - including DH's clothes - so he doesn't panic. DH can be a bit impatient though. He sometimes expects a bit much from our 1yo. BD1 adores him. She's such a Daddy's girl. They have a beautiful relationship.
so i have been doing a bit of research and have come to the conclusion or theory zoe might be MSPI (milk and soy protein intolerant) the symptoms suit her completely.
the problem with tat is i dont think i can continue to bf on such a restrictive diet... especially since they suggest lots of fruit tofill you up and I cant eat fruit
Oh no Bea I hope it's not and you can keep feeding. But if you have found the problem and can have a happier bub and mum then that's a good thing. Is there a way to be sure before restricting your diet? I guess not, that would be the way to be sure :/
DB I hope you've been going ok back at work.
Willow- i have looked into my diet with a fine tooth comb and realised that there is so much hidden dairy!!! and I have accidentally consumed it on times so need to pay more attention. so going to still use soy and just trying to eliminate the dairy 100%
It's so hard especially when you are busy with other kids to look after too. It's really hard when you just want 'something' now and need to be able to eat it and make it with one hand! I've never looked at dairy, only additives and there's plenty of them hidden, where is the hidden dairy??
Just in things like my oatmeal... i mean you add milk yourself why would their be milk powder in it too? and sauces etc... milk powder is added to so much stuff. Butters/margs
arghh im seriously going to explode.
Miss zoe has been asleep for 4 hrs in her swing and hadnt feed for 3 hrs before that so thats 7 hrs of no boob... which means my boobs are HUGE. I have just expressed a bit to be more comfortable but unsure weather to keep it or not as its basically 50ml of foremilk... and too much foremilk makes her gassy but also dont want to poor it down the sink. Am thinking i will wait till after she has feed, express again to that it adds the hind mink to it?
That's what I'd do you don't want to waste it. Probably a good thing she won't get it when she wakes up too.
Beatrix- Yes, there is so much stuff hidden in our foods!! :/ makes me angry to think about it sometimes...we just trust them..but we shouldn't! I would do the same re the milk too!
Well..... miss Eleni is still coughing poor little thing... this evening she had her usual massive 7:30pm feed and while I was burping her she had one of her coughing fits and she burped/coughed at the same time and it ALL came gushing out!! OMG I have never seen so much milk come out of her before...I am amazed that she gets that much milk from the evening feed!!!! WOW!! I was soaked through my wind cheater and top all down my shoulder/arm and side AND a whole big puddle on the floor!! So she has been feeding non stop from then until now to try and make up for it!.. guess she'll be up sooner rather than later tonight!! With the coughing I haven't had too much sleep over the last few nights!...I am so looking forward to school holidays!!!
PS. My WW book arrived!!! Now to try and find the time to READ it!!!
Harri- poor little miss!! did you end up getting some sleep last night?
Zoe had a pretty decent night..went to be at 10pm woke at 2am then at 6am, resettling really quickly at 10 and 2 so cant complain too much. I did get 2 hrs from her in her bassinet the other night so still trying occassionaly.
AFM personally, the no dairy is driving me mental. Not to mention the fact Im also doing the 12wbt. So far we are week 7 and I have lost 8kg (which is 10.7% of my body weight) and am 3 kg away from pre pg weight. Unfort I still need to do some tummy and bum toning before I will be happy but I am now in healthy BMI range again.
DB hope Eleni is feeling better and you got some more sleep last night. Georgia still has a little lingering cough and snuffle from the cold DS3 bought home from pre school a couple of weeks ago they just can't seem to shake it :wall: They aren't sick as such, just snuffle and cough every now and then, but I wish it would just go away. I worry it will turn nasty.
Way to go on the 12wbt Beatrix!! You're doing well to stay motivated and on track with a 2 month old, and not the easiest one at that  I hope the no dairy pays off :crossfingers:
Georgia slept 7 hours last night in her bed!!!!!!!!!! :leap: From about 10pm until 5am!!!! I woke at about 3 and had to do the is she breathing check because I was so shocked she hadn't woken already. She fed at 5 then went back to sleep until 7.20. I was very happy with that effort :D She's had one little cat nap earlier and has now just had a feed and fallen asleep again, with out being walked and rocked, but she's just pooed so I'm going to have to change her which will most likely wake her up grrr Oh well I just need to be happy with last night. I'm not getting my hopes up that it will be a regular thing, but I will be able to tolerate the cat naps through the day if she continues with 7 hours at night.
wow 7 hrs Willow!!! thats is awesome!! we had a 7 hrs stretch of no feeding yesterday unfort it was during the day LOL
lol 2 month old? little miss is a few days shy of 12 weeks!!!!!!
Willow do you have fb? I thought i found you with your av but not sure
I do but if you found the one with my av that is an old one I made when I was playing a fb game a couple of years back so I could add random people I didn't know to help me with the game LOL
Willow- OMG fantastic sleep!!! awesome!!! :D
Beatrix- well done of the weight loss!! that's great!!!!
I know... isn't it just crazy that our bubs are coming up to 12 weeks!!!! :o The time has flown!
Eleni is doing OK.... we had a couple wake ups last night, as she needed topping up after losing her 7:30pm feed! Also had a little bit of coughing, but seems to have settled a bit today/tonight.... I think that the snuffly nose annoys her more than the coughing!... It just seems to take so long to shake this virus that's going around!... DD1 has had it for over a week and is still coughing every now and then!...to top it all off I'm having to get them all sorted and in bed on my own... DH is away still until Friday afternoon! I don't seem to get finished and in bed until past 11:30pm!!!
Must be the week for big sleeps! We watched the Origin last night at a friends place and ended up not getting home til midnight. Bub was wiiiiide awake so I thought we'd be in for a bad night but after feeding he went to sleep and didnt wake until 9:30 :o The older kids slept in as well til nearly 10am so I got 9 hours straight sleep; timely considering I woke up with a croaky throat :(
Cant believe we're all nearly at the 3 month mark! Anyone laybying anything in the toy sales for bub's first christmas?
