Oh wow this has to be the first time I've started the thread.... and I don't have anything much to say but DS ran into the daycare centre this morning - obviously mum is not as exciting as she used to be.
Miss A has started at the Early Learning Centre 2 days a week ... I started her before Xmas just one morning then slowly increased the time ... She loves it and I love having some time with Miss T ... she is dancing and singing and her speech has improved heaps already ... Best thing I ever did ... For all of us .... Good luck tomorrow DeT ... It's hard at first xxx
Hi everyone! We've decided to try the Montessori school here ...so Miss A will do 3 morning sessions a week ... She is asking to go as her God mother is the Principal but I'm still terrified!!!
hey girls
still here !!
Ellie - i love montessori education - i used to work in a montessori school pre kids!!
She and you will love it
Boof doing 3 year old kinder at the moment. Got him down for 4 year old but see how the year pans out. Its 8 months till they start 4 year old and so much growing still to do.
a big hi to everyone!!!
xxxxx
I wish we could go to our Montessori kindy. The timetable just doesn't work for us. Would have loved to have sent kids to the school, but it isv$2,000 per child per term!
Our kinder is within the cc centre but in a separate area. It is a great setup. Miss j is already familiar with it as she is at cc 3 full days and can't wait to go. The teachers have said she is ready to go so I will send her. If she isn't ready for school I will do another year there but I can't imagine she won't be.
We're planning to do 4yr old kindy next year, if we get a place. At the moment she's doing a 3 year group thru community centre type place and loving it. I figure if she's not ready for school she can just do extra year kinder. I don't think she'd cope another year at home as every day she asks if she can go to kiner.
Realised I still haven't got E chicken pox vac, going on thurs and now shes at a knowing age she sure is not going to be impressed!
Omg I had totally forgotten about the 4 yo vac lol! Dread!!! What else have I forgotten???
Geez $2000 a term is huge ... ours are $1100 for 1st child and 10% discount for siblings. Still alot for us! Going for our meet the teacher and uniform shop experience next week ... Omg I am soooo not ready for this!
I havent been in for a while but loving holidays as I have the time to go on BB and do all the things I miss out on during the school term. I hope you are all well. I see what most of you and your gorgeous families are up to on FB but it is nice to pop in here and say hi.
Shell- I have been wondering how you have been going after splitting with DF?
Kaz- Wondering how your DP is?
Nai & Olive - Hope your families are all better soon. Sounds like you have had a rough trot with illness. to everyone else.
I saw you girls were talking about school. I think our schooling system is different to yours in Victoria. We dont have prep. DD goes to 3 year old pre-school which is run through the long day care centre she goes to and then next year will be in the 4 year old pre-school group. She only goes 2 days a week. Maybe for the second half of next year I will boost her up to 3 days a week. I think she will be reasy for primary school in 2014 (in NSW you go into Kindergarten at school). We will just have to wait and see.
AFU- DD is well. We were very sick last week but glad I wont be ill for all of the school holidays. DD is learning so much at pre-school. She has a very strong will but is very independent. I love love LOVE their imaginations at this age. Her games are just awesome and she is really fun to play with. Married life is going well with DH. Doesnt feel much different to before LOL! Oh and we have some news which is in my signature. Still can't quite believe it!
