Wish me luck! I need to go supermarket shopping this morning. It'll not only be the first time DD2 has come, but my first time taking the two girls! I hope it's not a disaster! I've never taken the two of them anywhere on my own, eeek!

Shopping wasn't too bad. Although I did discover that those baby and toddler trolleys don't fit boxes of nappies in well - let alone two boxes!

Omg it's so cold here and wet today! I feel like if I don't do washing for one day I'm going to get so behind...but pointless today. So cuddles on the couch with DP and Indi and a movie :)

It's cold and horrible here still we had visitors all day I am exhausted.... More coming tomorrow. We have filled the nursery with gifts which is lovely but I am overwhelmed with pink!!

Joeve - we got a ridiculous amount of gifts with DD1. It dies down a lot with number 2!!!

AFM - What a day! I'm exhausted and its not over yet.
Woke at 5 (didn't get a chance to go back to sleep after feeding).
The girls and I were ready by just before 9 (had just finished feeding again) so went to the supermarket
Back at 10
11ish DD1 went for a nap and I cleaned/played with DD2
2 got brave and went out again to sign DD1 up for swimming lessons (couldn't do it over the phone). Of course she wanted a swim whilst we were there so I went in with her whilst watching DD2 in her pram like a hawk.
4:15 - got home. Fed DD2. Got ready to go out again
5-7 - met DH at markets to do fresh food shop and dinner.
Now we just got home, put DD1 to bed and I'm feeding DD2 again. The trip home was NOT fun - DD2 was crying with hunger and DD1 crying/winging about bring tired...

I wish it was bed time for me!!!!

Oh wow what a day!
We ended up with 2 lots of visitors and DH finished with early so there were people everywhere. It was a bit full on but DD coped awesomely being passed around. I really was hoping it was home time for the visitors by the end.
I can not believe how awesome it is not to be sick all day every day now!! MS sucked so bad, I am a new person now I am not pregnant!!!

So glad that awful sickness is gone! xo xo

I'm glad you're feeling better Joeve. I also hate it when there are too many people around all the time. I like my own space.

AFM - Well I'm exhausted. I'm just expressing then off to bed. DH is doing the next feed (like usual :))

Chody: If you express for a feed. How many mls do you express for a feed? Maybe i shld do that too! I like the sound of it! I had DH give little girl a syringe full of milk (only about 5 ml) just to give my Lt nipple a rest it is soo grazed... :cry:
I know its about how i am attaching bub, but i just cannot get her on enough, it is fear, pain and bad aim... : o (
I've got those boobs that look like implants at the moment...

Ok so my amazing DD2 went down after her 10pm feed and slept til 4.30am, fed and was back down by 5am til 8.30am! I feel a million dollars today!!

I must say I am so proud of all you ladies getting out and about with your lil ones! I'm dredding DP going back to work and having to organise both girls and myself for the school run! Eeek!

I'm with you Susan! i am not looking forward to doing the school runs 2 different schools, ballet for DD1 mon to thurs and tue and thur for DD2 singing and gym and gymbaroo thurs for DS (gonna change that to sat so DH does that).

I can't face shops with two little ones! Let alone 2 big ones!

Had my first poo last night! Was a success! ha ha!

Still hardly any sleep again last night... Should be sleeping now i might try!...

Tillie - I was told by midwives the following formula for EBM bottles - weight(in grams) x .03 - so a 3kg baby would be
3000 x .03 = 90ml

I use that as a general guide. Sometimes she wants a bit more, sometimes a bit less. I have so much EBM stored due to her time in hosp I have plenty to spare to usually put a little extra in the bottle and don't care if its not drunk (you need to throw out any not consumed after a feed). We heat it up by sitting the milk in the bottle in a bowl of boiling water for a few mins.

I reckon it's definitely worth doing if you can. We did it with DD1 too (although I would often need to express before bed and a little during the day to make enough for a feed).

My nipples are soo sore... Bub has a pretty good mouth, but the fear makes me hesitate and then i miss the big mouth and she gets frantic....You know how it is.

Bub put on 30 g in two days which the home visit midwife seemed happy about.

I noticed that bub has a blood shot white of her eye above the inside of her eye lid and iris. I nearly had a heart attack when i noticed it. I told my midwife she said b/c i had a quick labor it has bruised her eye ball, poor baby!
