Babies Born ~ January 2012 #1

We are doing BLS, but i am going pretty slowly because DS still has gut and skin issues. DH had problems as a baby with eczema asthma and was only on goat milk til he was 2 or 3. DD also had problems with reacting to dairy but largely grew out of it by 12 months so i am hoping DS does too.

I don't do breaky for DS everyday, and yesterday it was some left over roast vegies! I am looking forward to more summer fruits coming out. He likes zucchini (steamed sticks) and roast potato slices.

DD used to eat the sultana bran bits, not sure on the sugar/sodium though.

DS is puking again heaps, but i think he might be getting couple of teeth through. over being covered in spew though. he gets up on hands and knees and rocks like he knows where he wants to go but just can't co-ordinate it all yet. he gets himself across the floor though and gets stuck under the couch cos he can only move backwards atm.

DD2 just gets some crusts from DD1's toast. I used to make porridge with EBM for DD1 years ago. I will do the same for dd2 when she is a little older. I used to give egg fairly early on too. Can't remember when, but we have had no allergy problems.

I just pulled a chunk off my egg, so both white and yolk. She's had no food issues so except for honey I'm not stopping anything. I did with DD1 and I needn't have bothered, also no sensitivities.

The egg was fried in an egg ring so it was a bit thicker. Fresh from our chickens too, so extra full of protein. ;)

I use wholegrain porridge and cook it myself. It doesn't take much linger. I started reading packets with DD1 and was appalled at the levels of everything in them! Choice has a great article on this online.

Kids weetbix is pretty much the best for processed cereals. DD1 still has it almost every day. Wish they'd sell it in a bigger packet.

DS is now very mobile, and pulling up on furniture to stand. Have to remember to put more things out of his reach!

He has only one nap during the day, but if we are home it goes for 2 or 3 hours. Overnight, he is waking heaps and i am sooo tired. He only sleeps for 1-2 hours at a time, and this has been going on for ages.

I was feeling bit blur today, and so got the kids photos taken at one of those shopping centre booths. The photos come back next week. It will suck cos i think the photos are going to look great and i can't really afford to buy any of them at the moment. oh well, it was fun at the time.

DD2 is very close to being mobile. She sits and amuses herself with toys and is now putting herself in some amusing positions. She can hold our hands and support her own weight easily, so as soon as she figures out how to get around, she'll be cruising. DD1 crawled at 8 1/2 mths but within 3 days was cruising, so it looks like I may have another non-crawler on my hands.

Food is going well, except she blows raspberries if she doesn't want something and that can get messy! I only spoon feed when it's called for (like today's pumpkin soup), which is probably just as well! She clearly has no trouble processing mandarin seeds and grains from our bread, if her nappies are anything to go by. ;) She doesn't gag anymore and eats or at least mouths everything I have. No teeth yet, but they can't be far away.

We have started swimming lessons and she is loving the water. She blows raspberries at it if she dunks herself, trying to copy blowing bubbles. Thinks the songs are fun and kicks her fat little legs quite well! Looking forward to the warmer weather when it'll be more pleasant dressing her while I'm dripping wet though.

Naps are a bit haphazard - one long one of 2-3 hrs if I'm home from 10.30am, otherwise a couple of shorter ones. Today she had two 1.5 hr naps, but that's because I didn't have to pick up DD1 until 4.30pm. Hard to nap consistently when her days are not always the same. Lucky she's such a happy thing, even when she's tired.

Night times she is a dream (sooty, Hot1). She's asleep by 6.30pm and if not disturbed wakes around 2.30am for a feed and then sleeps with me until 7-7.30am. Bliss! She's such a snuggly thing too. Maybe your little guy is waking more to correspond with his leap (literally) into walking?

DD2 is also very mobile. She's been crawling for weeks and happily follows DD1 and me around the house. She's pulling herself to stand but isn't good at holding it for long.

She loves meal times. She enjoys the food but I think she enjoys being part of the family at mealtimes more. We haven't found a food she doesn't like yet so looks like we'll have another see-food eater like DD1.

Nights haven't changed much since she was born. She's pretty much on me from 7-8pm until midnight. Sometimes she'll wake again, sometimes she goes until 7-8am. The evening bf marathon is draining (excuse the pun) but I still prefer it to DD1's 11pm-3am playtime. Naps seem to vary each day depending on what we are doing, but she'll usually have a 2-2.5 hour nap in the morning and then a couple of 30 min catnaps while feeding in the afternoon. I think she's dropping to 2 naps from 3 so that might be why we only get short naps in the afternoon.

As for me, I've been really tired lately. A couple of weeks ago I had other symptoms that made me wonder if I was pregnant again already. I'm not, but am back to the GP on Monday for BT results to check iron, vit d, b12 etc. I had glandular fever 2 years ago so it may be as simple as that affecting me now.

Hi girls

DS is growing so fast! He sitting up and loving life at the moment! He is def not a fan of tummy time or being on his back anymore spends all his time sitting and playing. Obviously because of not being a fan or tummy time etc he isn't crawling at all cuz he just doesn't spend anytime in that position. He is starting to bum rock so thinking maybe he will be a butt shuffler lol but who knows. I am so eager for him to take that next developmental leap into cruising and crawling some of ur littlies but at the same time I am enjoying the non-mobile baby for the few shorts weeks I may have left!

We are going great guns in the food department and he loves everything we give him. He feeds himself mainly and I load the spoon for him and he shovels it in. Sometimes A little to eagerly and ends up sticking the spoon to far in lol

We have had a few sick moments unfortunatley (a daycare negative!) he has had gastro and a viral infection and we are just coming out of an ear infection with a burst eardrum with a very weepy ear! (so gross!) I'm hoping this means he will be immune to it all next winter lol!

I am still loving being a mum - it is full on but I love all the smiles and laughs I get everyday at withhim!

And it's our first fathers day tnrw! So excited! And I can't wait to see what DS has made at daycare for daddy!

We are doing well, DS is almost 8 months adjusted.. He sits up and rolls everywhere. He doesn't crawl yet, but he can sure move! I am trying to wean his NG tube, I took it out last week. I am hoping he doesn't lose too much weight.. Since having it out he wakes frequently for feeds. I don't mind, but I'm not used to it! He's loving solids, he has kids weetbix for brekky lol, I am far too lazy to make my own porridge.. He has had egg but isn't keen on it. I think his fave food is avocado.

He's not saying words yet, he just babbles and experiments with screaming. He doesn't do high pitch yet thank goodness. lol.. I am hanging for him to say Mum, he's just started making the Mmm sound so I hope it's coming..

We have managed winter with no illnesses except for hand foot and mouth... I'm really happy we escaped colds, ear infections etc..

I love being a Mum too, but it's tough on my own. I've had to make some pretty major decisions about DS's care. There are some days where I just wish there was someone else to change a nappy or get his brekky. I have still never left him with anyone though lol..

I can't believe he'll be 1 at the end of this month!! This time last year we were pregnant!

We have a crawler here too and she is cruising all around furniture. She is her sister's shadow lol. She can also stand on her own for a couple of seconds, she is really strong and now just needs a bit more balance. It is so crazy since DD1 didn't walk till almost 18months but DD2 is very different. She was really frustrated a few weeks back trying to get mobile so I was glad it clicked... until a few minutes later when she was getting into everything. It is very cute watching the girls play together, DD2 is such a little mimic and can now wave and clap if you are doing it in front of her.

We haven't had any sickness here which is good, DD1 didn't get sick for the first time until she was well out of babyhood so it seems we really dodged that all here.

DD2 is still waking lots at night and feeding fairly frequently but barely left that with DD1 before DD2 came along so it is kind of my normal lol. Absolutely loving being a family four, we had family photos done (by my friend and member here Heaven) and looking at them, I know two is it. I feel complete. DP just started his butcher's apprenticeship too so everything is falling into place.

I took DS to the mchn for his 8 month appt. He weighs more now than my DD did at 15 months, but same height as her at 9 months! His legs are chunkier than hers are currently, and she is 2.5 years old.

DS' reflux has settled and we have been able to stop meds. He is still chucky, but this has settled lots too. He is crawling everywhere and climbing furniture. He loves standing and walks a few steps.

He has had a few reactions to food, still trying to work out what exactly he is reacting to. possibly dairy but i'm not sure.

DD has been a bit of a handful lately, and i have had a few urgh days, but overall we are doing ok.

Violet is currently pulling herself up onto things and standing! Breastfeeding has been a struggle but we are still going. Im dealing with some serious dips everytime my AF shows up and its hard coming back from it afterwards..but we are still pushing!
Her weight is still slow and steady weighing in at 14lbs even

The_ Mrs* - Sorry to hear you are struggling with BF.. I am too, but yes, we are still going and I am proud of that even though I sometimes feel like a total failure. I feel like a failure for not carrying him to term, so every complication we have related to his prematurity really makes me sad.. But hey, we made it through a year. He's a miracle and I'm so happy to be his Mummy :)

I forgot the most important update, DS says "mum, mum, mum" his voice is quite deep, its very cute.

So DS was 1 a little over a week ago We had a fantastic day, it was perfect :)..

He is 9 months adjusted now and I'm starting to really wish he'd hurry up and say MUM.. He's holding out on me, I just know it ;)

He's still not crawling, but he sure can move. He just rolls himself around the place :)

He has been sick again :( so has been off his food. He was doing really well, having 3 meals then snacks.. He has about 3 BF a day then 2 tube feeds and water out of a cup. He STILL wont drink from a sippy cup, I give him a spout cup or pop top so the water just falls in his mouth lol.

How many milk feeds are your LO's having now?

Happy birthday to your DS BAL!! Hope he is feeling better soon. DD2 is about to hit 9 months and has probably 5-7 feeds a day, at this age DD1 was having ~12 still so it can be vary varied.

Things are going well here. DD2 has started standing on her own for as long as 15 seconds!! I cannot believe it, it is so different to DD1 who wasn't walking till 18 months but makes things really great for the girls to play together. She also babbles mum, mum, mum and bub, bub, bub and dad, dad, dad etc which never happened with DD1 who didn't say mum till well over 2, probably closer to 3 (speech delay). I don't think she is particularly referring to anything though, just making sounds. She just started clapping the last couple of weeks which is so cute and waving too. Such a little person now and a huge copy cat.

Violet is nursing about 5-7 times a day and I pump before bed to stalk up for when I I have AF and ovulation because my supply drops and I have to supplement with EBM.

Things are also going pretty well over here. Violet is finally starting to gain some weight and now weighs 14.5 pounds :) She can crawl, pull herself up to stand, and sit up on her knees. Funny thing though, the girl wont stand flat on her feet..she stands on her tippy toes!! She doesnt talk..she growls! Ive also tried to get her to say any words and she just growlsa t me.

Does everyone here give their babies water out of a cup? If so, do they drink much or just play with it? I'm a big stress head when it comes to DS food and fluid intake. I just wonder if I'm over reacting?

BAL, can't believe it's been a year. Yay to you and Jett, but I best there's mixed emotions as you look back and remember this time last year. :hug: I give DD2 water in a sippy cup, I just use a Tupperware cup with its spout, same as I did for DD1. Makes the cup transition easier down the track, easy to drink from and hold (as it's narrow) and easy to get clean.

As for bfs, I think DD2 has about 7 a day? Hard to tell, because we cosleep for a portion of the night and she doesn't really disturb me if I feed her then. During the day she's having three meals and morning and afternoon tea with us, but she doesn't always eat much. Sometimes heaps goes down, sometimes not much (especially if she's tired).

She is fairly strong willed and good at getting her point across! She pats my chest for boobie now, which I did for DD1 too (at least she can be clear if that's what she wants). She is getting around and into things, but not quite crawling. She can stand if she is near something she can pull herself up on, or if we hold her though. I'm not rushing it, DD1 could crawl and cruise by now so I know how much more you need to watch them once they're totally mobile. Lol

DD2 is quite long and already in size one bodysuits. But I'm pretty sure she's slowed down in weight gain. Although carrying her around on one arm makes it sore, so thank goodness for babywearing!

Enjoying this stage so much, I can see her starting to move beyond babyhood all too quickly. :( I know she wants to be able to follow her big sister around soooo badly though that I'm looking forward to her actually being able to do so.

Well after 10 months of fighting my supply Violet started losing weight :( She was already off the charts so it was pretty bad. My body has a great milk supply for two weeks and then from ovulation to my period its dreadful..so she gains weight and then loses it. It keeps her at a standstill :( So we had to start supplementing about 6oz. a day. I even got some donor milk! We went in for her weight check today and in 11 days she gained 10oz! She is finally 15lbs even :) Her ped is letting us go down to 4oz. now.

She is tanding and gliding around furniture like a champ but WONT let go yet...quite stubborn. Im in no hurry though because walking turns into running.

We are also considering TTC this Feb.!

We are over our weight obsession (sort of) DS eats well and is off supplemental feeds.. The dietician wants hjim to gain 100gms a week, but he's a little under that. He has come up on the chart to just above the 3rd centile.

He's 14 months actual, still not crawling, but he can commando crawl. He is just fussy where he does it as he doesn't like the feel of our carpet. He is an expert on the bed lol. He loves to stand up, but we are really discouraging that until he crawls, but DS does what he wants.. He always has lol..

We aree only having about 2 - 4 BF per 24hrs and water the rest of the time. It's good not stressing about breast refusal. If I offer and he refuses that's fine, I know he'll drink water or have boob when he's ready.

He wakes 2 or 3 times a night but I'm pretty lucky, it's normally just boob or dummy and he's back asleep.

I am loving this age, but wow, he is growing up!

Hi girls! Great to hear from you both.

Hard to believe it, but coming up to DD2's first birthday too. Better start planning soon! She's crawling very effectively and pulling herself up on everything, but still a bit wobbly about moving on two legs. DD1 was running around by this age unsupported, so it's kinda nice to still have some of the baby stuff. Have no idea what she weighs and haven't had her weighed since six months, but she's a good eater and bfs whenever she wants. Atm that's probably about 6 times a day, random night time ones. Some nights she can sleep from 7pm-7am (rarely), more often she's awake and in bed with us before midnight and then at least once for a bf in the early morning. I don't really pay attention.

She's a cheeky little rascal with such a sense of humour! She cracks up at the most random things and makes us all laugh. She's not silly either, she can undo her seatbelt and get her arms out (five point harness), understands a lot of instructions, caught her trying to plug a double adapter into a power point the other day. :wall: She'll keep us on our toes, this one! And she has quite a stubborn streak. She really cracks it if you try to take something off her. She can already throw a bit of a tantrum. And if she wants sympathy for something she can play to a crowd too.

I am enjoying watching her grow into a toddler, I remember how much I loved that with DD1 and I'm so excited we'll be there soon!

Oh, and not so excited, but AF returned at 8 mths, and when it was 2 days late this month I was a little nervous. Luckily, just late, nothing else.

Jennifer- Have you found the days she sleeps 12 hours it affects your supply? my supply is horrid. I have to wake her every night at 10 and try my best to feed her every 2 to 3 hours during the day. It still only results in 6-7 feeds in 24 hours but if I miss just ONE my supply starts dropping.

I haven't paid much attention, Mrs S. She eats and drinks pretty well anyway. My bbs this time have been mostly left to their own devices and I've avoided the multiple bouts of mastitis, so something is going right. She's big enough to know how to ask for bbs now if she wants them and I assume she'll just ask more often if they aren't as 'full'. We go with the flow. ;)

cant beleive its been nearly a year since i went on maternity leave! DS is nearly 11 months old and has just started crawling (he was a bum shuffler!) and is getting very fast very quickly lol. He has also just started beginning to walk with a push toy which is SO amazing to see and watch. He is a little time consuming at the moment tho cuz he wants to walk everywhere and hates sitting down lol but that is okay - the house work can wait!!!

Jen - i know what you mean with tantrums... we have major tantrums at the moment in the bath cuz obviously DS wants to stand in the bath the whole time which is very dangerous and i am worried he is going to fall over and hit his mouth. So we have full on tantrums sitting down lol. Trying not to sercumb and let him stand too long as i dont really want to encourage the whole screaming and crying gets what i want! lol

We are also going through a period of day sleep refusal and tends to only have one sleep a day sometimes only and hour long. He still is sleeping at night 10-11 hours at night so i am not too worried but again.. house work getting a little behind lately!

I am still waiting for AF to return and would normally be happy to continue on as we are but Hubby and i would really liek to start TTC again soon so not sure what to do about it. We are only feeding five times during the day (wake up 630ish, 10ish, 1ish, 4ish and 6pm) but still nothing. WE havent night feed since four months so i am thinking she wont return till i atleast get rid of the 4pm feed or even wean completely. I dont really do the whole asking for BM as im not sure i would be able to tell what that looks like? He does lately seem to only feed some feeds for like 2 mins and doesnt need anything again but im worried if he doesnt get him milk during the day then he will wake during the night and i would prefer not to go back to that!

any advice on reading milk cues at this age? i guess now he is more active it might be more obvious if he crawls on me and grabs at my shirt?

AM - I taught DD2 (and DD1) to pat me on the chest when they want boobie (name in our house). She won't pat unless that's what she wants, usually I ask.

DD2 is cruising around (has been for a while) but not walking on her own just yet. She's so close. She'll stand up and down on one spot from sitting and thinks she's very clever. I think she's just more impressed with how fast she can crawl. :rolleyes:

We had her first birthday last week! Hard to believe the year has flown by that quickly. Loving her more and more each day. She's a cheeky little thing and soooo funny. Loves nothing more than to make us laugh. She and DD1 are great buddies too. Listening to them play together is heart warming. DD1 even goes to sleep on the spare bed in DD2's bedroom at night so they're together.

DD2 is a bit of a terror, always up to mischief. And very loud about it haha. Lucky she is so cute! She started walking about a month ago. She can now climb the wrong way up slides too. She is the strongest thing ever and can climb something higher than her by using arm strength. She is hands down stronger than I am which can be awkward haha. Very determined little soul. She is also a little copy cat, she will try to say any word you say to her or do anything you do. Her new trick is being asked "where's your tummy" and she lifts up her shirt. Love how they get older and more people like. Love having sisters too, they are beautiful together. We are still co-sleeping, still breastfeeding... almost 4yrs all up since I went straight from DD1 to DD2 lol.

DD2s birthday is tomorrow!!! Celebrating on Saturday though with a swim and bbq and cake of course, she might even get some... maybe.

Thanks Jen can't believe your dd2 is already 1!! Aw they are so cute when they try to walk I'm glad your Dds are getting on :). Dsd and dd have got a bit of rivalry going in with getting dfs attention and it always ends in dsd sooking... Which he always gives it to her lol

Happy Birthday to all the January babies!! Ds is now officially a year old according to his adjusted age :)

He's doing amazing, he commando crawls, can pull himself up from sitting to standing and cruises the furniture. Unfortunately because he is unable to crawl on all 4's yet, he still can't get from laying to sitting, which is quite annoying! The physio thinks he lacks strength in his abdo muscles, which considering he has had 2 major surgeries, isn't surprising. What is annoying though is that he now has to wear a support thing around his tummy. She didn't have any his size, so we are using tubi grip. It's hot and he hates it, I don't have it on him as much as she would like, but whatever lol..

He has been challenging with his hearing aids, pulling them out and losing them. He has one in at the moment which is a loan one, as we wait for his replacements.

We have had a nice break from therapies over the xmas break, I hated his speech therapist, so we are changing this year. Not sure who we get, but I hope I like her. If not, I am not sure what to do next. I feel speech therapy is so important as he is at the age where speech is developed. He doesn't say much, dada, bub bub, and he has said Mum a few times. He sometimes shakes his head "no".. I know his comprehension is fine, but his speech is most definitely delayed.

I think that's most of our news, I know most of you are on his page anyway :) We are still breast feeding and co sleeping too.. Next month will mark 1 year breastfeeding for us!! A very big milestone for me because it has been extremely challenging at times. I have no plans to wean anytime soon though!

Hello Everyone!

Violet has been having some allergy issues. We have discovered she is allergic to polyester and hummus (assuming from sesame seeds). She cant wear anything with polyester in it or breaks out in hives/exzema. This makes it difficult because its cold and baby clothes are mainly made from fleece right now.

We havent checked her weight in awhile and frankly Im glad. Im sure its still not where Dr.s want but I know she is healthy and happy and thats all that matters. We are still bf'ing but I give her one supplement bottle a day of cows milk (ran out of donor milk).

She is standing by herself and now we are just waiting for those first steps!

Oops, it took me awhile to get back. DS started walking 4 days before his birthday. He is now running, climbing and getting into mischief whenever he can. He has quite a few words, lot more than DD had at this age, but he is also alot quieter than her. He topped 10kg! at his 12 month mchn visit (between 50th and 75th percentiles) and 74.5cm length (just below 50th but he wiggled alot so he may have been taller)and head 48.3cm (fat head at just under 98th). He has slowed down in growth since his birth, but he is still bigger than DD was at this age, and i feel it when i have to carry him for long periods.

I am tentatively working on night weaning. We had 3 good nights, but then the last two have been not very successful again. I am pretty tired after 3 years of no full nights of sleep, and would like to move DS in to DDs room but don't see much point if i will just have to get out of bed to feed him multiple times. Is anyone else still feeding much overnight?

We're still bfing overnight, Hot1. She was down to one, maybe two up until about a week ago, when she got a virus that DP had. She was up every couple of hours again. I've had a touch of it too and it includes a dry/slightly sore throat, so I'm sure she needs the bfs. She's back to one or two a night atm, but it's taking a bit to shake this one completely. She's totally happy and seems fine during the day, but I can just hear it in her nose a bit overnight. Apart from that, like I said, generally once around 2am and then 7am-8am to start the day. Occasionally an extra. DD1 was completely night weaned of her own accord much earlier than this, but she regressed at around 15 mths for a few weeks until I quit night feeding for her. But DD2 is not as sound a sleeper and also doesn't really like co-sleeping the way DD1 did (at least for a few hours each night), so it might be her comfort filler as well. I get that you're over it though, it's a bit tough! I don't mind as long as it's only once and I'm not up for long. I also like that DD2 lets us sleep in, because she's a much later riser than her sister was! So I figure to last all the way to 8am she needs something. DD1 used to wake any time from 4-6am to start the day. :wall:

Like your DS, DD2 is walking, climbing, raiding her sister's bedroom, generally into everything! She's lots of fun though. And really good at understanding instructions. She makes a lot more sounds than words, will bark like a dog, roar, hiss, copies words/sounds that I make. Other than that, it's Mum, Daddy, a version of Charlie for the dog, boob, hello, hi, nan, yes and a few things like that. I don't think she's gotten that many new words over the last few months, but her comprehension has improved a lot.

I love the toddler stage! I'm not sure how much she weighs, but she was over 9 kg just before she turned one. I think she's put on a bit since then. She's tall though, rather than heavy. I'm putting her in clothes DD1 didn't wear for ages yet.

Hope everyone else is well! Working a fair bit, have a nanny on Mondays and DP is learning to be at home with DD2 on Fridays. ;)

We are still feeding overnight, multiple times although I couldn't really tell you how many because I make it my business not to know lol. She is attached a lot at the moment but I remember DD1 going through this phase as well so am just riding the wave. We co-sleep and I guess I'm pretty used to it (DD1 started sleeping through about a month before DD2 arrived) so doesn't seem to worry me much. I don't really expect it to stop for another year or so because that was my experience with DD1. She co-slept in my bed till around 2 when she moved to her own bed in our room where she seemed to settled into a consistent once a night feed. She then started sleeping through around 2yrs 9mo (fed to sleep for another 6mo after that till weaning so that didn't affect night wakings here) and we moved her into her own room just after DD2 arrived, her choice - she wanted out because DD2 was disturbing her haha plus loved having her own space with her name on the door. She hasn't really woken in the night since (a handful of times because she wet the bed or for a drink but that is DPs job now) and has never fought sleep ever so it worked out well although it was a commitment. Planning to do similar with DD2 so will move her into her own bed (room for me to crash in should she need me more than expected) in our room when she is waking less frequently then in with her sister when she starts sleeping through. I don't feel too tired although I'm now up to almost 4yrs (DD1s birthday in 2 weeks) with interrupted sleep bar that few weeks between the girls. DP lets me sleep in while he gets up with the girls each morning which I think makes all the difference if that is an option?

I agree with you, Jellyfish. You just kinda go with the flow if you can!

We moved DD2 into her own bed at 10 mths. You should see the fuss she kicks up if I try to snuggle with her after a bf and go back to sleep. :( I almost liked it when she was sick, because then she's happy to stay close and snuggle. Completely the opposite to DD1 who only just stopped coming in for at least a couple of hours of snuggling about this time last year. We even took the safety bar off the side of the junior bed for DD2 the other day because she gets up and down and sleeps so well she doesn't need it. So much for my baby!

It is similar here; DD2 has just started sort of pulling off and rolling over to settle into sleep properly, I remember DD1 didn't do that till she was over 2 so I'm thinking she might be earlier to sleep through. DD1 is a metabolistic machine so I think she really needed those night feeds too because she eats and eats and eats but is tiny (genetics). DD2 has always felt more settled and is definitely a more well built baby (was a kilo heavier at birth).

The best thing I ever did with DD1 was get rid of the clock in our room. I think it is just better not to know haha.
