I get it hun. DD weaned herself when I was about 32 weeks pg. I was same as you, relieved and sad. DH didn't get it either. MW at the hospital was much more understanding!
:hug: He is growing up. He's decided to be independent from mummy - that's ok. I know it is sad, I know :comfort:
How is everything else going? X is back to super whingey mode. Don't know if it is because he's fighting off a bit of a cold or something (constantly runny nose) or if something else is happening... dunno. But it is really frustrating!

Thanks so much for the hugs. It's so nice to talk to someone who understands. No one I know IRL has fed much past 12 months and like I said DH tries, but just doesn’t get it. I kinda knew the weaning was coming, as he's been less and less interested of a night time (was down to one feed anyway, just before bed). It's still just really sad.
Apart from that he's doing really good. He's been really clingy lately though….I've had to get my sling out again because he's getting too heavy and my bump is getting in the way of a good hold. But pretty much from the time he wakes up in the morning till I leave him at day care and from when I pick him up at day care till bed time he wants to be held….but not on the weekend :lol: I kind of suspect it has a bit to do with the pregnancy…in that he kinda gets that something is up, but doesn’t quite know what…so wants that comfort. It took me ages before I remembered you can ring sling a toddler, so had entirely too many days of one VERY sore arm, but since I've been putting him in the sling it's been good.
Sorry to hear X has gotten whingey again……all these phases…takes a lot of adjusting doesn't it??

I havnt been around for awhile. Mainly exhausted with the kiddies - Lily has gone from a pretty good sleeper to being a nightmare if we don't let her sleep in our bed. Adele (8 months) is sleeping well but still wants 2 feds a night....yawn....DH helps alot, but its catching up with us I think- all this sleep deprivation...:o Anyhow- for some stupid reason we are talking about trying for a 3rd....madness I tell you...especially since we are walking zombies lol
So what's the go with kids that wake up in the middle of the night and won't go back to sleep?? :cool:

Delph - I still get sad on occasion, when I am putting B to bed and he cuddles up next to me and starts to rub my arm (SO CUTE) I'll often think he use to do that when he was feeding, and get a bit teary….I'll blame it on the preggie hormones :D
AFU - I've officially become a permanent bed hopper! We moved DS into his big boy bed about 3 weeks ago. He goes to bed really well in it, but inevitably he'll fuss about 1ish, so in I go. Settle him….usually falling asleep myself….will wake up about 3ish…go back into our bed….then he fusses again about 5ish, so I usually tote him back into our bed because I sleep better in there. His mattress is REALLY REALLY horrible, and made even more so I'd imagine because I'm preggie. There have been a couple of nights where DH has just told me to put him to bed in our bed so I can get some decent sleep….bless him.
B was really sick the other week. High fevers (as in 39-40…got up to 40.2 at one point :o ) really chesty cough, then he developed this interesting rash, which saw the doctor call in two others for their opinions then got us packed up and sent off to the emergency room, only to be ushered into quarentine where he was tested for meningitis and meningococcal….talk about stressful. Thankfully he was cleared of both of those, but they still don't know what it was apart from a 'virus' (thanks….real helpful that one). He was really ill for about 10 days, but has made a great recovery (although the daycare workers say he looks like he lost a lot of weight) and is his usual over active self again.

Crikey Dr T that's no good! Sorry they couldn't give you any real answers, how stressful. Glad he is back to his normal self however.
We are going to do the bed move soon... we are putting it off, but he really needs to be in there asap... the cot just isn't working out for us. Maybe this weekend, it's a long weekend so we can spend a good few days at home working on it.
I try not to be a bed hopper... It's one of my things, I like my bed, I like my own space. On occasion I have lain down next to DD but never really get comfortable so I'm soon back to my own bed.
DS was sick over the weekend and ended up spending Sat night in with us, which drove me insane - I'd just get comfortable and he'd start kicking and invariably kick me in the belly or DH in the nether regions, which neither of us appreciated!!!
So Sunday I was determined to get him sleeping back in his cot. I think it was just the sickness. Some sort of cold or something. Poor bub, he just wasn't himself. I hate winter!

B IS NEARLY TOILET TRAINED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He's not had a pee accident in nearly a week and he pooed on the toilet for the first time yesterday and he just asked to poo again this morning!
I AM SOOOOOOOOOO PROUD OF MY LITTLE MAN!!
(such a shame there is no proud mummy emoticon on here!)
