    Thanks!
Trying to work out this breastfeeding business. She doesn't want to open her mouth wide enough.
And having ginormous boobies sure doesn't help either. Soo many things to juggle.

Juggling boobies Raupe... Nice mental picture get a LC if you need one. They are brilliant.

Re: Babies Born ~ September 2014

I feel your pain Raupe.....literally! I went from an 18dd to a 20g when pregnant & now none of my nursing bras fit
David doesn't open his mouth wide enough either unless he's screaming for a feed & now that I'm all swollen & full it's even worse. If possible, try leaving your bra/shirt off to get comfy feeding first & then juggle clips etc. also, feeding "football hold" style is easier for me if you wanna give that a try. Ooh, and propping bubs on a pillow.
I had a freak out the other night thinking I wouldn't be able to feed because I was sore & swollen but thinking back, I had the same issues with ds1 & dd.
Tegam, my LC at the hospital was useless! She comes in goes "you've done this before, you'll be fine" and walked out again. Thankfully I have an ABA group close by that I contacted yesterday & I have the ABA number stuck on my fridge & bedside table.

Re: Babies Born ~ September 2014

I've also got bf issues, I thought we were doing really well but poor Lachlan isn't getting enough milk and has lost around 15% of birth weight midwife said today he needs formula and they will come back tomorrow to weigh again. It explains why he is frantic at the boob and constantly feeding. He is so much happier after a bottle so now I want to work out how to increase my supply. Any recipes for lactation cookies or other advice?

    Babies Born ~ September 2014

David had his hearing screen today. Passed
I have a baby who hates bath time hope the warmer weather in the next few weeks means he will start to enjoy it.

Eivie, I'd try & stick with it too hun. But at the end of the day if it doesn't work for you then ff'ing is not the end of the world. The main thing is that bubby is happy & healthy & mum is not stressed.

Hey lovelies! How are you all going?
Eivie, sorry about the weight issues. I have made a few batches of lactation cookies and find them really helpful (even if it's just to satisfy the munchies during night feeds). It's day 4 today and thanks to the cookies my milk has definitely come in big time! (Ouch!) I see if I can find the recipe, then I'll postb it for you. Just make sure you use real brewers yeast, not bakers yeast!! I'll get back to you soon.
AFM, sore nipples. She still struggles to latch properly. We're getting there, but it's not easy. Also, my bits are hurting! Not sure if it's the stiches or just general soreness from the obvious . Anyone else got the same issue? What do you do?

The sore nipples goes away Raupe. My left is completely healed & my right is not far away
As for sore bits, yep, here too! I have a perennial graze, labial grazes & a small labial laceration but didn't need stitches. It still stings a bit to pee & sitting is difficult unless I have a lot of padding under me. My couch has become my best friend. Lol

Hi girls, about time I get in here.

Raupe-Re sore bits, get yourself a 'pump' water bottle, mix water, lavender oil and tea tree oil and pour over your bits every time you go to the toilet. Helps a lot!!

Hope everyone else is doing well and enjoying their little people!

Afm-we are doing well, boobs are starting to settle, I had a small graze which has healed now. I ended up with a small tear which I didn't get stitches for just using the....be back to finish soon crying baby

Re: Babies Born ~ September 2014

My little guy is not a boobie fan he screamed last night when I tried to feed him. We were both in tears & after 25 minutes of screaming, fussing & crying I ended up expressing while DF put him in the bath. He settled after his feed & was perfectly content so I think he's going to be an express fed bub from now on.
