We're not too bad, only 2 weeks til my due date, will be interesting to see if I go over or go early this time :) Heading into town to wait next week just in case.
We're still having issues with her eyes, hopefully it won't be an ongoing thing. The specialist reckons that she might be having some kind of immune response and is producing extra fat in the glands which is blocking them causing the bumps so we have to clean them a few times a day.
Your poor DD FW, I hope it's nothing serious.

Been living in a bit of chaos here, repainting baby's room and TT DD at the same time. I'm not good at living in such a state but I got everything back away today, nursery is done and hard rubbish is being picked up on Thursday.
We're doing everything we can with her eyes to make sure she doesn't need an operation, fingers crossed it works.
Heading into town on Wednesday to wait to go into labour :) I told my mum i'd like to organise a morning tea catch up with family and friends so I don't have a million visitors after the baby is born and she's turned it into a full on baby shower :rolleyes: I think she's a little bit excited.
It's a bit different this time because we won't be in our own home when we bring bub home from the hospital, we've rented a 2 bedroom place so we have our own space but also will have the majority of my family within a 30min drive. When DD was born we went straight home and my parents stayed with us for a few weeks, we had some family who were passing through come for lunch around 5 days after the birth and that was stressful enough. When my sister had her baby almost a year ago now she was in labour through the night and my niece was born at 5am, my sister didn't even want my parents to visit at the hospital but apparently my grandma and aunty thought it was ok to rock up a few hours later during visiting hours, luckily they went to the wrong hospital!
I'm also looking forward to having DF's parents here, it's pretty exciting for us and for them, they've never been to Australia before.
PRMG -Wow sounds like you've been busy! I still have to clean out our junkroom so the PIL have somewhere to sleep :) And pack our bags, I still haven't packed my hospital bag yet.
Is anyone else thinking about 3rd birthdays or is Mo the only organised one? I suppose because DD's isn't until April and the baby is due before now and then it seems like ages away.
JF - Aubrey is so chubby compared to Immy! She's so cute!

Yep, they sure are polar opposites which I guess is to be expected although DP often gets told by strangers how much DD1 takes after him because of her wavy hair I think, mine is dead straight.
Imogen was tiny and still is. Has blonde wavy hair and that only started coming through properly after she was about 2 with beautiful olive eyes.
Aubrey is HUGE, not just chubby but long as well. She has dead straight auburn hair that was there from the day she was born with bright blue eyes!
Both very cute combinations although I am thinking that Bree will lose her blue eyes and might even drop the red tinge in her hair so will have to see how that goes, my Mum thinks this hair could fall out altogether and she end up with curls lol :)
FW - Ooohh Wednesday! Not long now until you have your bubba in your arms! As far as 3rd birthdays go, I've thought about it :D Have booked the cake, not doing it myself this year. We're going away next week, will probably organise something when we get back. Will be a family thing as normal though, nothing too exciting, but she loves everyone, so should be a good day for her :)
JF - DD's hair fell out, grew back straight and then curled when she was around 8-10 months. Now she has afro-style curls, they get commented on all the time but they are tricky to look after. She screams non-stop on hair washing nights and again when I'm trying to tame the curls in the morning. It's a guarantee of a violent tantrum :(
Mo - How are you doing?
We have tight curls here too. I am happy to keep paying $10 every month or so to get them cut really short so I don't have to brush them every day. Actually I rarely brush her hair unless we're going out somewhere and do the whole spray and comb thing so the curls look nice. DD can grow her hair long when she's old enough to brush it herself :)

Both girls do dancing now & they love it :D
Milana was born yesterday at 3pm :) we left hospital just after 8 and had a great night at home. She is a mega pooer - 7 poos already! Hoping to get onto the computer and put up a decent pic on fb soon

Isn't it amazing how relaxed it is the nth time around?
We hav been in Sweden for 8.5 months now - time really flies. DS1 is at dance class right now, which he loves... And DS2 asleep in the pram so I'm just having a quiet chai latte (although I reall wish they served whiskey in this place- it was such a drama getting here on time with all the layers of clothes needed for going outside in Sweden at this time of year.
Our whole family came down with a flu super bug last week - I hadn't had a cold in the past 8 years but the year my son starts preschool - BAM - no surprises there!!
So the whole fam was down and out for about ten days - what a shocker.
Hope you ladies are all doing well, wherever you are.

Congratulations FW! I was off BB and FB while I was away, but came stalking last night to see! She's beautiful!
Hi Tanya, yep she's my second. It's definitely not as stressful the second time around. Although DD2 has been a bit different to DD1 so far so she's keeping us one our toes. I don't envy you having to put on all those layers. We went to Russia in winter when DD1 was a baby and ended up leaving her at home with the grandparents and just DF and I went out as it was such an effort getting everyone all dressed up and she hated the cold wind on her face! Hope you have all recovered from the flu and are back to normal.

Loving your party preparations Mo, I'm going to do the rainbow jars next week with DD. Did you use salt with the chalk for colour?
The rainbow jars are soooooo much fun i think i had more fun than the girls lol
Yep just no name cooking salt & chalk, we used cheap chalk at first but the colours weren't as colourful as i wanted so we used crayola chalk & it turned it out so much better.
It does get very messy but easy enough to clean up.
Sounds like lots of fun, Mo! I can imagine lots of laughs.
FW - How are you going? How's DD1 going with being a big sister?
DD had the supplementary immunisation today for pneumococcal. I took her to the GP instead of the council as they were offering it. Before they would give it to her, a doctor had to come in and give her a health check before he'd give approval for the shot. It was pretty thorough. She's had no reaction to it, which is always nice and she didn't give more than a bit of a squeak when it happened. She wanted to ring DH and told him that her arm was sore....except she keeps telling him it's the other arm :)
MG they loved it, we even did it at playgroup & all the kids loved it & them Mums loved it even more lol.
How's your pregnancy going? Has the placenta moved up at all? Been thinking of you :hugs:
Kodi had a great birthday, she got a ton of my little pony toys, clothes, barbies & books.
Now i'm slowly starting to plan B's 1st birthday. We are going for a Woodland theme as Bambi stuff is impossible to find.

We gave DD her bike for her birthday this morning - the look on her face was priceless! Can't believe they've all turned 3!!!!!!
Lots of moving up vibes for you, One of the ladies in Bambi's belly buddy group had the placenta covering the cervix she made it to 36wks :)

Not much happening here. Both girls going pretty well and enjoying having two. We spend most of our day at a local park that is fully fenced in as DD1 can run free and play with other little people while I walk around with DD2 in the sling, hopefully losing a few pregnancy kilos while I'm at it haha. DD1 has started a second speech session a week so we are reeling in our budget ($83 per session so $166 a week) but we can definitely see it is helping! Still no mmm sound connection so I'm getting called Jess instead of Mum but one day... I'm so proud of how far she is coming!
DD2 is HUGE. Like really, really, really BIG. 100th percentile for weight and head and off the charts for length. She could easily pass for 6 months, DD1 wasn't this size till around 9 months but she was tiny. She is also SO happy. Just really smiley, babbly and giggly all the time. And strong. She is so cute.
I can't believe how big she is, Bambi is 6months & weighs in 6.7kg
It's wonderful that she is thriving solely on your Breastmilk JF :D
Fantastic news about DD1, but ouch at how much it's costing you!
Should have mentioned that she weighed 7.1kg at her 2 month needles! It is crazy. I have heard that after the first year or two, breastmilk becomes more calorie dense so wonder if my milk is being influenced by DD1s continued feeding but then I've also read that it is driven by the youngest and more frequent feeder so probably just genetics - her Dad is tall and well built. She doesn't seem that chubby, although she definitely has some rolls on her I think a lot of it is her height. Good for a bit of weight resistance while I'm trying to lose weight haha.
How long is she JF? B has just moved into 00's but can still fit in her 000's
When she was measured last (2month needles) she was 67cm. She wears 00-0 and Imogen actually wore one Aubrey's jumpers yesterday that was a 0 haha.

We did the rainbow jars and DD1 loved it, might make another craft activity out of decorating the outside/lid of the jar.
It's DD1's b'day next Friday, she still remembers her party from last year and has been talking about having a party. We're not having a party this year though so hopefully she'll be happy with my parents and her best friend. She wants the piggy cake out of the women's weekly cook book and has the picture memorised right down to the colour of the lolly decorations :)
DD2 is going well. Feeding alot more than I remember with DD1. We are cosleeping and I generally get her to sleep in the sling during the day so she gets a decent sleep. Overnight she is pretty good and will go straight back to sleep after a feed. She has started smiling in the last few days, can't wait for the personality to start coming out.

Hi Girls! How are we all?
We have been pretty busy here. I just handed in an assignment for uni and have an exam in a week and a bit. Finding it pretty difficult to juggle my time during the day especially when DF is working because he is gone for 14 hours and is pretty much useless when he gets home because he is so tired. His job is pretty physically demanding. Which leaves me to do the cooking/cleaning/getting the girls sorted which I don't mind, sometimes it just feels like neither of us gets a break.
DD is going through a phase of wanting to touch her sister all the time, which is great except for when she poked her in the eye! She is learning the sounds of the letters at the moment. Had a disagreement with my dad the other day when he was reading her a story that started with "Once upon a time." "No Nonno! it starts with an O not a W" Oh dear, it seems we have a very observant little perfectionist on our hands :)
Wow Mo, Bambi is going to be 1 before you know it! She is so cute, reminds me of my girls with hardly any hair :) How are your big girls doing?
PRMG - I am so happy for you that your placenta moved! I remember chatting with my GP and he was really positive that mine would move which gave me hope. The midwife I saw after my scan didn't really say much about it because the scan report hadn't been sent through to them yet. I know how nerve wracking it was for you though. So many unknowns, especially with the likelihood of the caesarean hanging over your head. Anyway, on a more positive note, is your DD excited about being a big sister? Do you have any thoughts/guesses on the gender of bub?
JF - How are you guys? Sounds like Immy is doing well. Love the pics of your girls on FB! I have chubby babies too :) DD2 was 5.75kg at her 8 week needles, she must be over 6kg now. Did you start getting your Centrelink money yet? I would be putting in a complaint if you haven't, it took 2 weeks and 1 day from when we lodged the forms to when we received the first payment. A couple of months is a joke.
Are there no notifications at all from BB now?

How are all the 3yos doing? Are they all ready to start 3/4yo Kinder next year?
Kodi is doing 3yo Kinder this year & will probably repeat it next year & go into 4yo kinder in 2014.
She loves Kinder & has so many friends it's just too cute.
Bambi will be 9mo in 3 days :-0 where does the time go, She is crawling & pulling herself up on everything.
She adores her sisters & she thinks Kodi is funniest person alive. Kodi does all these dances for her & Bambi just cracks up it's so beautiful.
Maddi will be 5 in a few months, i still can't believe she will be in school next year, my baby isn't a baby anymore :(

I'm very much over being pg now, hasn't been fun, but nearly there. Baby is wriggling around and causing me a fair amount of pain low down in my pelvis today, so I'm really hoping that means he/she has engaged. Will find out tomorrow at my OB appt.
DD is going well, we got our acceptance letter for 3yo kinder today, so she'll be off for two sessions next year. Boy will I miss her! And in the last three days, she's been using the potty! We had a conversation where she asked me all about her friends and if they wore a nappy or not. She rattled off all their names and realised that she was the only one still in nappies and something finally clicked. We've had one accident in three days, so very proud of her

Kodi finally decided to TT recently as well.
She only wears a nappy to Kinder as i know she will forget to go & at night.
What hours will M be doing next year?
Our Kinder is still deciding if we will have 15hrs of 4yr Kinder & then they can decide on the 3yo hrs & if they can run a 3yo program.
At the moment Kodi does 3hrs once a week because we have playgroup on the other day.
We pay $200 for that....

Yay for TT'ing! We're having issues here at the moment with her holding her pee until she absolutely can't wait any longer and not wanting to pull her pants down by herself. Not sure what the go is because she's been going to the toilet herself for almost 6 months now.
As far as I know QLD doesn't have a set Kindy program. There are kindergartens or long day care programs and we don't have a kindy here. So basically it would just be sending her to daycare for 2 days a week. I remember someone saying that they have to attend 15 hours a week so it is 2 full days. Will have to find out what they offer and how it works. I know that for kindy it costs around $25-30 a day and the daycare centre is $70 a day.
We are doing really well. The girls adore each other and DD2 is smiling all the time and giggling at DD1. She rolled for the first time the other day. It's different with the second child, I don't want her to start moving!
The QLD system is so odd & confusing lol
Down here we have 3yo Kinder which is usually 6 hrs a week 2 days at 3hrs.
4yo Kinder at the moment is 11.5hrs Maddi goes 8-12 Mon & Tues & 1-4 Weds. Next year it's suppose to go upto 15hrs & they want 2 x 7.5hrs days.
I personally don't want that as i think they would be too tired & wouldn't learn as much & if i wanted her to go all day i would send her to daycare.
Because Kodi & M turn 4 in March they have the choice to goto 3 or 4yo Kinder next year & if they bring in the stupid 8hr kinder days then i will be keeping Kodi back as she is not ready for those long days yet.
I know what you mean, Bambi is on the move all the time.
It's get tiring chasing after her all the time & it means she's almost not a baby now as well :(

We aren't sure about Kindy next year, we have been looking around but because of DD1's speech impairments we really need to find a suitable place for her (somewhere with at least moderate sign knowledge). DD1 has officially weaned (3yrs 3months) also which is great, I was really over it and finding it uncomfortable as her mouth got stronger but it is a little sad also. She is eating like a champion though so I'm not tooooo worried about her nutrition lol she has stirfried noodles for lunch almost every day which we share a whole broccoli, capsicum, 2 carrots and a tin of baby corn between us! DD2 is going great, just starting to roll everywhere, sitting by herself and eating some solids! 6 months, cannot believe it has been that long already... I thought the first time flew by!

It must be difficult when you went early the first time. DD1 I went 6 days over and DD2 7 days according to my dates and 13 days according to the hospital. At least I was mentally prepared for it the second time as much as it sucked.
