Teresa, why is your brother acting that way? I wouldn't take Indy out if he was crook either.
We still have Indy in the room with us, he sleeps in his cot though (when we can get him down!). If he's having a particularly grumpy night he'll sleep on my chest.

I've forgotten everything that's been written. I've taken back on the role of editor for the paper I was writing for before Harri was born so I've got a lot on my plate at the moment, having said that I love it!
DSD is going back to Sydney on Monday, but in a major victory we won't be needing to go to court. Her mother has finally decided to do the right thing and move back to the same town as us so DSD can have equal access to DP as well as herself. We're so excited that things have worked out and we haven't had to go through a messy court battle. DSD's mother as well as her grandma are going to move back so she will now have both sides of the family close. Yay! Having said that I am looking forward to having a few months with just me, Harri and DP. It may be selfish but I feel like I'm missing out on being a new mum sometimes with her here. She's been teething for the past week and has turned into a total monster. Yesterday she really upset us. We had professional photos taken and while DP and I were getting our photo done, she went over to Harri, put her hands over his face and pushed him into the bean bag he was resting in. He screamed so much and I cried, I really can't believe she did that. *end rant*
Harrison is such a happy and smiley baby. He giggles and 'talks' a lot! He's sleeping through most nights and has a nap around midday. He's still in a mix of 0000 and 000, he's got a skinny bum so his pants are 0000 and wearing 000 in onesies and shirts.
Harri's naming day is on the 20th of this month. We've got a really nice ceremony planned out and it will include all the grandparents and god parents. We're going to be releasing helium balloons at the end of the ceremony that we'll ask everyone to make a wish for him when they release it. We've decided on a caterpillar and bug cake and cupcakes for afterwards. The cake will be a big leaf and then have a caterpillar made from different cupcakes and then different bugs decorated on other cupcakes. It should be nice and I'm so excited my sister and mum will be coming up to see him again and that my dad will be coming up to meet him for the first time.

b - i am very much like u. i keep going back only to have all that happen again. i told my mum i dont want to have anything to do with him and his gf again. he continually speaks to me like dirt and treat me like dirt and i have had enough.
Missawah, wow, I can't believe she did that either! I would have been super upset. I'm glad you'll be getting some time with the three of you. His naming day sounds great, I suppose we should think about something like that for Indy!
I think you should give your brother a wide berth, you don't need that in your life!

Teresa- My brother and his wife are like that. Whenever they come round they hardly ever look at Adrian, they've only ever held him once the week we came home, and leave the room if i have to breastfeed him. Yet still talk about how they will raise their kids (They dont have any yet and i dont think will) the 'right' way. It really upsets me that they dont care for him or show him any love, he is their nephew and you would think they would make the effort. My SIL in law also makes gagging noises and acts like she is going to puke if i talk about anything to do with pregnancy, labour, breastfeeding, pooping or vomiting. Basically anything to do with babies. I really ****s me and i want her to grow the F up! At least my mum and dad think the same as me and DH and cant understand why they act that way. Hope your brother sorts his attitude out soon.
Teresa & Jellymaker - DP and I cant wait till some of our friends have kids. Only because then they will realise how nasty and silly some of their actions and comments are now! Like "Why are you so boring now? You used to go out nightclubbing every weekend?" and "It isnt that you look bad Jess, it is just that you look like you stopped TRYING" (WTF?!?!?!) Even people that have kids are annoying with "Oh she is in your room still? Better get her out soon".
Missawah - Great news about DSD! You are a legend for taking on work as well! I tried, and managed one half of an email before realising I was just not organised enough :(
Ladies that are breastfeeding..... has anyone done this? I fill the bath so it is just under my boobs and give Tiah a feed once I have finished washing her. She LOVES it. She floats over my tummy while she sucks away. Her dad thinks I am crazy.. but it is so nice. She gets very distracted usually when she feeds, but our bathtime feed is so relaxed and cuddly :)

meercat- no i haven't tried that. I have feed in the bath once...but not with lots of water- it sounds like fun! I will have to give it a go.
RE- family issues....i have the biggest a.....h....e of a brother in law. He was/still is best mates with my ex and i 'ruined' his life when we seperated cause my ex was no longer coming to all the family get togethers. So, instead of inviting me to all they're family parties and so forth he invites my ex and my ex takes the older two kids along to MY FAMILY parties and has a great old time with my family while i am at home. He won't even look at grace, and on the odd occasion we are in the same room together for 1 second he walks out. WHAT A PIG! The rest of my family are great though, just not him!
misssawah- it must be hard for you to have special time with you and dp and Harri. It is really important you do! I'm sure it will be really relaxing to have a little time alone when dsd goes home!
Teresa- i hope your family/friend issues work themselves out. Especially for Hamish's sake. Although i must admit grace sleeps on her belly for one sleep a day...she usually falls asleep during play time and loves that position. I do watch her very carefully though!
AFM- We went to mummie's group on Monday and met some lovely ladies and babies. One little bub was born 2 hrs before Grace. She is 4 cm taller than grace and is 6.2kg in comparison to Graces 4.6kg! So funny how each baby is so different! I have pulled out my backdrops and photography items to do a photoshoot of Grace. I have been doing amatur photography for about 5 years and have done all my neices and nephews! I already have my black backdrop out cause i done 3 photo's of grace when she was 2 weeks old in black and white (which are on facebook if anyone seen them!) I have heaps of ideas and i can't wait to get started! I will post the results on Facebook next week!!!

Sorry for the short and selfish post but my mum just took bub home with her for a few hours so I can clean the house ( it sooooooo needs cleaning ), so have very limited time on the computer today. Hope you and your bubs are well, haven't gone through all the post, but promise to catch up soon!
Just a quick question.......has anyone have the safe and sound meridian car seat?? I have been struggling with mine. I find the newborn insert so tiny it 'squashes' Cam to the point of him just hating it and me dreading putting him in it. Can I take the insert out already? He is already 6.3 kg. I will move the head bit up ( I think part of the problem was that I have left it the way is was when he was newborn :redface: ) and I will move the shoulder straps up too. When can I move it around so it's forward facing??? Does it go by weight or age?????

Beata- Im not sure about your brand of car seat, but, I think you have to wait till he is 6 months before you turn him around. I had my older 2 kids facing front at 3-4 months because they hated the backwards seat, but thats illegal now. Im sure if you move the straps up and take the head peice out he will feel a lot more comfy! (hopefully)

I done Grace's photo's yesterday. I think they turned out pretty good. There were a few shots that could have been better if i had professional equipment! But, overall I'm happy. I have loaded them on facebook if anyone wants to have a look :)
I hope everyone is having a great long weekend! There is lots of noise here at the moment cause the Pub Crawl is on...lots of people trying to beat the world record again! There will be lots of hangovers in this town tomorrow...lol!

Connie, thanks for the advice on the car seat! I did get a friend over and she helped me to move it to one side (from the middle which was a hassle getting Cam in and out). BTW, Grace's photos are beyond amazing hun! They are incredibly beautiful, you are a very talented lady and Grace is a real cutie!

We had a really rough night last night. Cam was screaming from about 4ish to 10 pm. I ended up giving him panadol, on top of his normal infacol and gripe water. He was farting all night so I knew it was just wind and over tiredness as he didn't sleep much yesterday. Today he's been heaps better (sleeping heaps more probably b/c he is so tired from yesterday).
Is anyone else havinga hard time with tummy time? Cameron is so lazy and he grizzles almost as soon as I put him on his belly. He is holding up his head OK when I have him over my shoulder but if I sit him up on my knees I've noticed that his neck muscles are not that strong....

Beata, have you tried a different formula? Every night was like that for us, and we eventually worked nout it was formula related. 6 tins of different formula and we eventually found one that didn't make him full of wind (he was screaming for about 10 hours a day) and really constipated. How is Cam with poos? We get one evry day now, whereas we were up to 4 days before.
No long weekend for us in WA - boo! Although we did have one last weekend :)
Miamunchkin, what formula are you on now? We're on Nestle Nan H.A Gold. This is the 4th formula we've tried. We have tried Karicare Gold (wind), S26(worse wind), Novolac (better with wind but poos very hard) and now the Nan (mostly OK but still wind). Is there any others? Cam is doing poos every 3 to 4 days, but they are not hard, like toothpaste in consistency and green in colour. I am scared to change the formula again in case he gets worse wind problems. He's been on the Nan for the last 6 to 8 weeks......
Beata We tried Karicare Gold, Karicare normal, S-26 (warned severly against it), normal S-26, one of the Nan ones, Novalac Constipation - which works fantastic for us, and Novalav Sweet Dreams, and Heinz Nurture Gold, both of which upsets Fraser's tummy also! It's a nightmare!Q I'm never changing from the constipation Novalac, cos he likes it and he's happy on it! He still has really firm poos when it's a warm day and he sweats, but nothing like he did! Hope you get something sorted for Cam soon! x
Miamunchkin, we tried the Novalac formula but it was for Colic. Cam was really settled on it, but his poos were very very hard, like hard cat poos. So I'm wondering if the Constipation formula would be better and it's possible that b/c he was already calmer on the Novalac brand, it would make his poos more regular???? Hubby went this morning to the chemist and got some. Reading the label though it says that it's not for regular use???? and it should be used after seeking medical advice? Do you feed Fraser just straight Nov. Constipation formula? I'm thinking feeding him the Novalac formula every second or third bottle and still give him the Nan, and see what difference it makes. Are you allowed to mix up the formulas like that though? It would just be introducing it slowly into his feeding..The Novalac formula tastes very different to the Nan.
Beata - The CHN told us to run our fingers down Tiah's back (Alongside her spine) while she was on her tummy to encourage her to lift her head. I also give her a massage each night and she stops grizzling the instant we massage her lower back and butt!
Beata, on speaking to the Novalac consultant through my local pharmacy, they said it's fine to use on a continual basis if they are actually constipated, which Fraser is. The "disclaimer" is on the side of the tin as they ddon't want you to give it to a child who is not constipated, as this will give them diarreah. We spoke to the CHN and she suggested giving one bottle of "normal" formula a day, which we tried, but unfortunatley, that one bottle was enough to put Fraser back with the cramps and constipation, so we had to stop it. He's certainky thriving on it and is now a very contented happy boy!
If in any doubt, give the Careline a call. We checked with our doc but he said to take the advice from the Careline as they would know more about it than he does xx
Beata, Arlee wasn't a huge fan of tummy time either, she actually has really strong head and neck control, but every time we put her on her tummy she would just rest her head to one side, and once she found her hand, she was in heaven just laying there sucking away!! We did lots of other tummy time - laying back on the couch, her on her tummy, on our tummy/chest. Putting her tummy down over our knees with a toy to spark her interest infront of her, carrying her draped over our arms/aeroplane style, on her tummy on the change mat and massaging/running hands/fingers up and down her body, brushing the back of her hair. As we did this more and more and she had more fun, now she is fine with tummy time on the play mat. We have to be careful now because when she gives a strong push she flips herself over - one way to get out of tummy time ha ha
RE Formula: I am very greatful Harrison clicked with the first type of formula we tried. We're on Karicare Gold and he is as regular as clockwork, wind isn't as bad as when we were breastfeeding and took to it very well. Hope you can find one that works :D
RE Tummy Time: Harri hated tummy time at first, but we just had to be persistent and ended up giving him less time on his tummy but more frequently. He's always been good at holding up his head (has been since his was born, little wonder boy lol) and got a lot of time on his tummy when he was little little being on our chests. Now days he can hold his head up all by himself 99% of the time. He can roll now from his tummy to his back so keeping him on his tummy is sometimes a chore. I think the best thing is just persisting with it. Try just a few minutes at a time or until they start really getting cranky, eventually bubba will be able to be on their tummy for longer periods of time.
oh yeah we're very proud of our clever little man.
Question, is anyone still wrapping?? Harrison sleeps in his cot now with a sheet and blanket but he has really restless nights if he's not wrapped as well (just half wrapped from under his arms) When do they grow out of this??
missawah - i stopped wrapping Hamish when he was sick. besides he keeps getting his arms out of it. so he hasnt been wrapped now for about 3 weeks. i also found that when i put him in his cot after he fell asleep and tried to wrap him it woke him up. he sleeps well without it now.
afm, all good here. the last 2 nights have been bad with Hamish waking up and not going back to sleep overnight. was up from 330am yesterday and up at 130 this morning. eventually just put Hamish into his cot and left his lamp on and just walked out of his room at 3am. he called out a few times then just kept sucking his dummy and went to sleep himself not long after that. up again at 550am this morning so not too bad. pretty tired at the moment tho. just put him down for a nap. will have to go have my shower in a minute. he cat naps at half an hour to 45 mins each time so i have to get what i need to done in that time.
need to book him into the docs today for his 4 month injections. he is 18 weeks old today. growing far too quickly.

Sorry I haven't posted for a while - I was just really busy with Angus' Christening and having the in laws here. Also, we are moving down to Canberra next week....
Beata - we use Nan HA too... When I was in hospital and my milk hadn't come in Angus was dehydrated, so we had to do top ups with it. I bought some when I got home and then my milk came in, so I don't use it that much but if I don't have enough expressed milk I use that if DH or my Mum are feeding him. He's seems to enjoy it and we haven't noticed any problems with it. The other day DH gave him 100ml of expressed milk and he was still hungry so DH made up formula and Angus drank another 100ml! But if the pediatrician recommended it, it must be good.
Also, with tummy time - Angus loves it and has since he was really little. He used to push himself along using his legs, but his head would be down. Then we bought a Lamaze mirror and he loves it! I sit it up so that it is straight (not sitting on the wedge) and Angus loves looking at himself - he has even started pushing himself up to have a good look!
Misssawah - I'm still wrapping Angus. He usually gets his arms out and I used to think he didn't like it, but the CHN told us that it reminds them of the womb when they moved around, they were pushing against the uterus. Sometimes he is unsettled after being down for a while so I just re wrap him and he settles straight away.
Con - good to hear your photo's worked out. We got some done with Tiny Treasures and they make great presents for all the family.
Afm - We have been having an awesome time with Angus! :D We had his Christening on the weekend and flew DH's children up. So he got to meet his two big sisters and two big brothers - they loved him and he really, really loved all the attention. On Friday night I kept trying to get him to sleep, but each time I put him down he would wake up (he did that all last week). In the end I settled him, put him in his bassinette when he was settled and then walked out. I listened on the baby monitor and he babbled to himself for a while and within 15 minutes he was asleep! The next night we went out for dinner for DSD's 18th birthday and after having a cuddle with everyone I put him in his pram with a wrap over it and he put himself to sleep again. :clap:
Then on Sunday we had his Christening and it went really well, apart from him falling asleep in the car on the way there and then being grumpy when I woke him up to put him in his Christening gown in the boot of the car.. He cried a little bit, but it went well and the ceremony was only about 25 minutes. Afterwards we had an afternoon tea at our house with everyone (about 35 people). There was SO much food and it went really well. He slept for 8 hours that night. We had to take his big brothers back to the airport yesterday morning :( But then we took him to Southbank and went on the huge ferris wheel and the CityCat - he was exhausted and slept 9 hours last night!!!
Oh and by the way, his Omi (grandmother) looked after him the other day and discovered that he loves television. We went there again yesterday morning and he watched Playschool. He LOVED it and was on the floor dancing away and cooing and laughing! :lol:
Anyway, he's finally woken up again, so I better go feed him. I'm really loving the fact that he is being such an easy baby at the moment, but I am a bit sad, because he is becoming more independent :(

Beata- We used SMA formula when we first got home but he was very spewy so we tried Karicare (not the gold) and Adrian seems to do really well on it so we are not changing. I got some Novalac sweet dreams to see if it would help him sleep longer at night but it doesnt seem to do anything. We also had some novalac constipation but Adrian hasnt really needed it.
Missawah- I still wrap Adrian but only for his nighttime sleep in his cot, he sleeps in his bouncy chair during the day with a blanket thrown over him. He would probably sleep ok just with the covers now but i think he would get cold as the air would get in down the sides of the sheets, so im just sticking with what works.
Con- great photos, im having a photographer come to the house on Sunday for a photoshoot so will be posting some on FB soon hopefully.
RE- tummy time, Adrian's not keen on it but he has been holding his head up since day one so its not really an issue. Still do it though so he will start rolling over soon.
AFM- Adrian slept through 4 nights in a row about a week ago but has gone back to waking up at least twice a night and doesnt want to go back to sleep from about 6 onwards. Very depressing when i was so excited when he started sleeping through. Hopefully that means its not far off though. Ive been trying to keep him awake longer at night so he'll sleep longer when i eventually put him down, but it is so hard as he will sleep anywhere and in any position, he's just like a ragdoll when he's really out of it. He's is out like a light by 7 every night, wakes for a feed at about 9 and then goes straight back to sleep, up at 1am, fed, back to sleep, but then is up and wanting to play at 5am!!! Very frustrating!
Took him to the doctors last week as he had a few thrush spots on his top gums and he has been very good about taking his medicine. The look on his face is priceless as he cant decide whether he likes it or not :) Went to the shops and bought some new clothes for him, Best n less is real cheap, onsies from 3$ and trackies 6$ or two for 10! Bought lots of stuff and i love dressing him up. Im obsessed with colour co-ordination though (the art teacher in me LOL) and have to match his socks and bibs to his outfit!
Anyway, hope all mums and bubs are good.

Miamunchkin, I have given Cam a bottle of Novalac Constipation today but he grizzled when he took it and then proceeded to fart all day long rather badly and very smelly. I guess the formula has brought on the farties! I think I will give it a go for one week and see if it improves his poos. He doesn't have hard ones, just infrequent ones, just hope the formula has not upset his tummy. It's hard to tell though, as his behaviour has been as bad as yesterday so hard to tell if it's the new formula or not.
HB, good on you for persisting with tummy time. I should have with Cam but he always hated it and if he didn't whinge he would just lay his head on one side and didn't move it. I bought him a tummy time playmat with a roll at the end so will give that a go.
B, I should check out Chemist Warehouse on the formula pricing, my IGA supermarket is even cheaper than the chemist!
Missawah, I'm so jeleaus of your little man. Some bubs are just born holding up their little heads! I think they are curious about the big wide world! lol.
Teresa, sorry your little man has been keeping you up. Ouch for the 4 month needles! I think Cam is booked in for next month.
Nat, I'm glad the christening went well!
Jelly, Cam was so funny taking the thrush med. as well. He would pull funny faces too but soon got uses to it. Bugger about Adrian going back to waking up at night!
AFM, my little guy has been unsettled yesterday and today, I think he's got a cold as he keeps waking in the night and can't breathe while he's got his dummy in. I have to give him some nose drops and he goes back to sleep, only to wake me a while later for his bottle! I was really hoping he would cut out the night feed....soon maybe? Maybe I should give him more bottles duringt the day?? Oh, I dunno. I really thought he was getting better, but he seems to be going backwards ATM. It really is testing my confidence and patience ATM.
Well, off to bed, hoping to sleep for a t least 5 hours.....

Sorry i havent posted for a while. Everyday I say to myself I should catch up here....
Hope everyone and their babies are going well. I will try to find some time to go back through the posts.
Aidan is going well. We had his tummy thing checked out a month ago. The doctor managed to freak us out and sent us for a for an ultrasound and wrote a referral to a surgeon. The radiologist straight away said that he was perfectly fine and its a normal thing for a baby.
Ive just recently stopped breast feeding completely. I had been supplimenting one feed a day as my milk would run out in the afternoons, and it was a slippery slope to all feeds being bottles. But he managed to put on a whole kilo in a month and jumped back up to the 75 percentile line (he dropped in the second month). Its nice to have my body back and not have to wear breast pads.
He is sleeping well at night. Not that much during the day. He'll go down around 8pm and up again about midnight and down straight away til 8am (or earlier if Daddy doesnt stop his alarm quick enough)
Today we went to check out the childcare centre he'll be going to starting at the end of August when my maternity leave is up. Its a nice new centre, but still makes me sick to my stomach to know Ill be so far away from him.
insom - i am definately not looking forward to going back to work in september. we have already chosen and booked Hamish into family day care and the girl that is doing it is absolutely lovely but i just dont want to leave him!! i really dont know how i am going to cope. i went out the other day for 3 hours and i was chomping at the bit to get back to him after 2 hours! dont know how i am going to manage for 8 hours!
beata - we use s26 original and i found it on special the other day at coles for $16 a tin. well i stocked up with 3 tins! going to check them out again over the next couple of days to see if its still on special. at that price its a bargain!! :D
afm, Hamish was much better last night. had a bottle at 5pm, bath at 630, story then to bed. slept until 120am, had another bottle, then back to bed, then woke up at 615am. awesome!! i got a great sleep. he is currently on his playmat bashing away and talking to his lion and lady bug on it. so cute. i am off out today to buy him some 00 clothes. he is almost ready to go into them. and target have some gorgeous little boy outfits out. so does pumpkin patch!!

I know the Karicare gold is cheaper at Big W than supermarkets, I'm not sure about the other brands though. Will have to check chemist warehous to check if it's cheaper there

AFM, Indy's sleeping about 4 hours in one block overnight, then awake hourly after that til about 7am. I'd love a 6 hour block! He sleeps pretty well during the day, currently snoozing in his bouncer! We've managed a few footy games with him, he gets a big feed before we leave, sleeps til half time, then sits on his dad's lap quite happily! He has some cute little Cats outfits now, courtesy of Mum and Trav's dad. Be so much cuter if they were St Kilda ;)

Rooey, I guess I am very lucky with Cam as he does sleep for at least 5 hours over night, sometimes even 6. We have a new routine where he gets a bottle around 7 pm, then another one at 9.30-10 pm and then he'll go anywhere till 3 or 4 am. We always tried to give him a the last bottle between 10 and 11 pm but sometimes the last feed for daddy was too much as he gets up for work at 5.30 am, so he's so happy that the last bottle is now by 10! Cam does this funny thing now where he gets a feed at 7 pm and then wants another one 2.5 hours later, but I guess he's topping himself up for the long stretch at night! Good little man :D And I really do think little Indy would look so much better in the Saints outfit!! lol. Mind you, he looks pretty darn cute as a little cats man!
Teresa, I'm so lucky that I'm at home indefinitely. I won't have to worry about childcare for a while yet, as mum is only 5 minutes down the road and even if I go back to work for 2 to 3 days a week, she'll be able to babysit for me on those days. We want to find a bigger place to live soon, but we don't want to be too far away from Grandma!
InSom, Cam doesn't sleep much after midday, I find that he gets up for a feed around 7 am and then back to sleep till about 10 am, then he usually gets another nap and is awake for most of the afternoon. We do lots of play time on his playgym and it's so cute to see him get so excited about all his little friends hanging above his wee head and him trying to rip them down! We tried the tummy time again today but he grizzled as per usual, just have to keep going I guess. I would love to take him out in his pram a bit more but it's just so bloody cold here ATM!
AFM, Cam was a lot better today. He's been drinking most of his bottles and behaving a lot better in general. I think I have to look at taking him to physio soon as he is finding it hard to look to his left when he is on his tummy, I think his neck muscles have to be manipulated and corrected.
Has everyone been really enjoying their mothers group? I've only been to one so far (I missed the first one, went to the second one and missed the thrid one last week). I find that all the other babies are at least 4 weeks behind Cam, and I'm finding it hard to make the connection with the other mums as their bubs are so much smaller than mine.....
He has just woken up from his 20 minute power nap, better go get him settled again.

beata - i have never been to a mothers group. i am really shy and find it hard to meet new people. u might want to ask your doc or paediatrician about cam seeing a chiro. i dont know if that is a allowed at all
teresa, I'm the same. I feel a bit shy around people I don't know, and I'm always paranoid that I won't be able to settle Cameron in front of a big group of mums whose bubs are behaving like angels!! I've heard that you can take little ones to physio early on, I have a friend whose little boy had a weak neck and she ended up taking him to an osteopath I think.....I must give her a call and find out more info.
B - Yay! I am off to the Bambini site now. I LOVE the grobags! Tiah seems to know they mean sleep time and starts yawning as soon as I put hers on :)

Beata, sounds like you have Cam's sleep-time down pat! Indy's getting a bit better with a rountine, he still tends to be awake until 11 or 12 though, sigh...
B, I find that some mornings Indy will wake at about 5am for a feed and then won't go back to sleep unless he's in bed getting cuddles :lol: He's had a couple of nights sleeping in the bed with both of us, or just me if I'm down visiting Mum. I kinda like it, but I do sleep better when he's in his cot. I think I might be subconsciously worried about rolling over on him or something!

AFM, I didn't go to my mum's group today, I had a day hanging out with my sis instead! I don't mind my mum's group, it is good to meet other mum's from around my area, but I'm shy too :lol:! I haven't met any of them outside of the meetings, I'd bet happier going to a BB girls met-up I think! :D
My bro's ex-gf is flying in tomorrow, she's still good mates with him and the rest of the family, so we're all going down to Mum's to surprise her! Mum also just got a big delivery of Nespresso pods, so I'm going to stock up for my machine :D

Beata - we had to take Fraser to the physio as he wasn't turning his head to the left (very common) - she gave us some exercises and he is now fine, but really doesn't like sleeping on that side (and has a fair bit of a flat spot). I just make sure we do the exercises every day as she said it's very common for them to slip back to not turning their head. Just make sure you get a physio that specialises in babies. How's the formula going?
For those chatting about sleep - our "routine for this week" seems to be Fraser going down to sleep about 7.30 ish, wakes for a feed about 1.30 ish, then back down til (hopefully) 7 am. Sometimes he's a bit earlier as my DH leaves for work and is up between 5 and 6, so if he hears daddy clattering about, he wants to get up.
As for mum's groups, we have a really good one from the hospital we went to. I went to the local CHN 2 weeks ago and there were only 2 other girls there and they are both suffering big time with depression - one girl was chatting about how she tried to end it all while pregnant - it was awful! I know we had it really tough for the first 6 weeks, but not nearly that bad!
We've had swimming today. The class is brilliant - such fun and Fraser absolutely loves it! We do a water aerobics class afterwards and the girl works us so hard - it's great that it's not an easy ride and you feel you are getting something for your money. My arms are going to be very sore tomorrow!

Re shyness & mums groups- I'm a really shy person too. I always think other people will think what i say is stupid. But, i try not to let that get the better of me. I love my mums group! It is such a nice morning out and all the bubs are between 2 and 4 months old so they will all be good playmates!
Re sleeping- I agree with ~b~, do whatever is best for you and bub. Grace is having her last night feed and going to bed at at 8pm and sleeping right through until 6am. She sometimes throws in a 3am just to keep me on my toes, but i don't mind. My boobs are sooooo full and ready to burst by 6am though! She is not so good with the day sleeps...but i can't be picky when she sleeps so well at night.
afm- Grace will be making her debut stage performance in a few weeks...the youngest to do so in our town :) I am taking part in the local musical theatre concert and they asked if i would take grace on stage and make her part of the performance. We even have an old pram and baby outfit! (1915) The musicals are mixed, Annie, Oklahoma, Les Mis, Wizard of Oz, The Sound of Music and Oliver. We are busy learning songs...good fun!!
