Ditto to what Teresa said xxx here for you both.
Oh ReeRee, I'm sorry you're getting BFNs hun  I still have my fingers and toes crossed for you though for Thursday. TTC can be such a lonely road, even when you have plenty of people around you for support. Sending you a truck load of hugs
HC, i hope your night away from Indy wasn't too bad
Thanks so much lovely ladies
Unfortunately the bloods confirmed that the cycle was unsuccessful. Try again with one of our frosties after a natural cycle.
Rooey, how are you going?
Rach, any insight from your acu sesh? Yay for passing the first hurdle hun
That sucks reeree :-(
Don't be too hard on yourself.
I'm still peachy :) I feel that everything is going to be fine this time. I'm taking herbs three times a day too. Feel better taking them - like I'm doing everything I possibly can. They taste frickin awful. Like stomach bile. Guess when the morning sickness starts I'll have to stop them but see how I go.
Ree Ree - sorry about your bfn. Angus was a natural FET from our second cycle (only frozen emby). He was also made using frozen sperm, so we really didn't hold out much hope, but were pleasantly surprised.
Afm - nothing really happening. One of the Mums from playgroup had to have a d&c the other day after her 3rd miscarriage (1st one was her DS2.5's twin). I feel really bad for her, especially because everyone else in playgroup is pregnant except for 1 who has been trying for almost 2 years and two others who have had their second babies recently. I am not that close to her, but I would really like to support her if I knew how. The one that she is closest to from playgroup is due next week.
I love e stage Angus is at now. He communicates really well (although he doesn't have the best vocab) and handstands everything. He is such a little cutie :-)
Hi ladies
Things still aren't great, he seems to be trying to play the victim to manipulate me me, very hard to stay strong :(
I'm trying to look at finances at the moment so I can buy a little house for Indy and myself, had a chat to a bank manager today and it looks positive, so at least something is looking up!

Stay strong HC, you'll come out on top, you'll see. Great to hear the finances are looking good so you can look for a place for you and your wee man. All the best hun xoxo
ReeRee, I'm sorry for your BFN hun, my heart aches for you. Maybe we can be belly buddies next time we do our cycles .
Nat, I'm glad Angus is doing really well! There's not much you can do for the mum from playgroup that's had the d & c, apart from telling her that you're sorry she's going through it all. It's hard at playgroups when you see pg ladies, especially when you've just had a m/c, but that's just part of life I guess. I found it a little bit hard after I came back to the playgroup after my m/c, but the 2 ladies in my group that were pg at the time had the babies soon after my m/c so I didn't have to look at their bellies for too long. It's strange because babies don't evoke the same response in me as pg bellies do.
Rach, I'm glad all is well at your end hun! I take chinese herbs but they are in the form of tiny little pills so they don't taste yuck. The things we do!
Hi Teresa!
AFM, I had anothe good acu session today. I am really enjoying it, I leave feeling calm and so relaxed. I think I'm about to O soon, so will be busy the next few days in hope of catching that elusive egg. Well, the egg with probably be there, don't know about the swimmer/s!! lol
Great to hear about the house on the cards Rooey :)
How are you going Ree?
Hi missB Teresa meercat nat and miamunchkin :)
Rooey - I hope you can find a little house - that would be awesome..
MissB - I try not to talk about pregnancy too much when she is around, but some of the other ladies do.i remember when I was trying to get pregnant with DS and had 2 bfn's after ivf cycles, I didn't want to be around anyone who was pregnant... Glad your acu is working out and making you feel better. I did it once, but didn't really enjoy it myself. Maybe I wasn't in the right headspace though.
Oh and we're getting a new puppy. Does anyone else have two dogs? At the moment we have a big dog and he digs holes, rips washing off the line etc and I think he is a bit bored. The only thing is, he's just gotten out of some behaviours and the new puppy will be about 6 months behind him...
Hope everyone is going well!
rooey - i hope things settle for you soon. xx
nat - we have 2 dogs now. we have had honey since she was 8 weeks and got thor last year and he is 3 next month. its been great. honey and thor play alot of the time. thor doesnt play much with hamish but honey still does! you can guarentee that honey and hamish are never too far from each other!
afm, not much happening here. busy working and looking after the family. we spent most of friday night up with hamish after he decided that he was going to start vomiting everywhere!
hi to everyone else!
So I have been advised to apply for an urgent intervention order, as he has told me he has a plan and date for suicide. I'm so scared :(

I'm so sorry that you are going through this sweetheart.
I hope you have plenty of support surrounding you and Indy xxx
Huge cuddles and you both are in my thoughts xx
OMG HC, what the heck?????? Do you think he's bluffing???? The first thing that came to my mind is that he's trying to scare you/to get smypathy, but do you think he could be for real? Hugs lovely, what an awful situation to be in :(
Whether he is bluffing or not it needs to be taken seriously. To say something like that he's not in his right mind anyway.
My mum attempted suicide when I was 5. She messed herself up pretty badly.
I truly hope he gets the help he requires as you shouldn't have to go through life like this. It's not fair on anyone.
I don't know if he's bluffing, but I don't want him to be alone with Indy :(

definately not.
Is there a temporary court order that you can get in the meantime that stops his access at the moment?
I know my Dad had one that meant my Mum could only see us in supervised visits by an approved person until we were 18.
Oh Rooey. Big hugs first off
Also, unless there is a court order in place saying so I think you don't have to let him have Indy. So you are able to keep him away until you have the paperwork all sorted you know?
It is awful that he has put you in this position. This shows you were right to stand your ground. He definitely sounds like he needs some professional help.
Rooey - what a horrible situation. Like Rach said, even if he is bluffing, it needs to be taken seriously - which it sounds like you're doing. That isn't the sort of thing a responsible parent would say, so your right to not want Indy to be in his care. I hope it all works out and you have a good support network around you.
On a lighter note, a friend from playgroup had her baby the other day. She came to storytime at the library this morning and bought her 3 day old baby. Apparently she went to the hospital at 6 but they sent her home, so she went back at 10, was admitted at 10:15 and had the baby at 10:38! That makes me feel a lot better about things, because I'm starting to get a bit scared about labour and having another baby in the house! I worry that Angus won't will feel left out, but at least my mother will be living with us full time. We pick up our new puppy on Saturday, so our current dog won't feel abandoned at least :-)
How are you going Rooey?
Hi all
Just an update about our new puppy. We adopted a German Shepherd x Mastiff on Sunday and after a very difficult start she is getting on with our other dog. DS loves her and pulls her around the house telling her what to do! They are very cute together.
Been thinking lots about names and have two that we really like. I'm just not sure about the middle name now. It seems some people just choose a random name that sounds good with the first, but I'm used to significant middle names after others in the family. Mine is my paternal grandmothers name and I've noticed most people do that when doing my family tree.
Has anyone got plans for Mothers Day? We need to buy a new clothes dryer, but I also would really like a dyson vacuum now that we have 2 dogs! Maybe we'll have a look...
You are going to have one big puppy nat :)
We decided not to give Jemma a middle name. Her daddy doesn't have one so decided to stick with that :)
What are your choices?
Each - yeah she's already 18kgs at 4 months. Our other dog is a Ridgeback x mastiff and 30kgs at 12 months - so I think she will be bigger than him!
Jemma's a lovely name! Our two favourites are Stella & Hugo - although DH is not too sure about Hugo as he thinks it's not strong enough.. I'd like o have my Mum's name as a middle name for a girl, but not sure as its a traditional Polish name (Bronislawa). Otherwise we'd use Evelyn (the middle name of both our great grandmothers). For a boy I'd probably use Alexander which has the same meaning as my Mums name and is the name she really wanted for DS.
I think Stella Evelyn flows well and Hugo Alexander is so cute!
Wow 30kg pup!!
DP and I got engaged on Sunday :) after 7 years I earnt it truly!!
Yay Rach - congratulations!!! One of my friends got engaged last weekend and she is about 9 weeks pregnant with their second bub. She's waiting until after the baby comes before they get married. I said it will be so cute as her dd (now 2) can be flower girl and her one of her bridesmaids can carry the new baby :-)
Huge congrats again Rach, I'm so happy for you guys! Haha, my DF says I'll never marry him, we've been engaged for 6 years! lol. I said I will when he'll give up the fags. I don't see that happening...
Thanks :) we will wait Til after the baby as well but mainly because my sister is in brazil until mid January.
nat - good luck trying to pick names. i know we went thru so many names before we finally settled on hamish. it was always the name we came back to and when he was born he looked so much like a hamish that we knew the name we picked was just right
rach - congrats again on your engagement. such an exciting time
hi to everyone else
afm, well i think Hamish is finally ready to start toilet training. how to do it i have no idea. lol. i keep puttng him on and asking him if he needs to go. this morning he said "poo i done poo" and tried to take his clothes off. lately he has been taking his nappies off and running around butt naked! especially at day care! i swear if he isnt ready to be tt then he is just a nudist! the other week, he did a poo in his nappy, took it off, then sat in the dogs water bowl and washed his bottom lol. clever kid!
Happy Mother's Day everyone :)
Same to you B :)
happy mothers day ladies xxx
Happy Mother's Day! :heartbeat:
Nat I love both your name choices :) I think Hugo is a strong name, and Stella is lovely! And good to hear the 2 dogs are getting on well.
Teresa, I know what you mean with the nudity! Blake just loves to drop his daks any chance he gets, lol. Good luck with the toilet training, I don't know where to start either :/
Congrats again Rach :D Wedding planning is fun!
I hope everyone had a great Mother's Day. Mine didn't start off too well cause I woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. It did get a bit better though and poor DH tried his best.
Teresa - does Hamish do anything on the potty? Angus used to take his nappy off heaps and we started, but gave up after a day of him weeing on Everything. DH has been putting him on the potty every night before bath time for the last 6 moths, but he's never done anything. I think if he did, I would then give it another go...
ReeRee & Rach - thanks for the comments about the names. DH doesn't really like them and the ones he suggests, I don't really like. Oh well, just over 10 weeks to decide!
Does anyone still have their LO in a cot? Angus is still in his, bet everyone else in our playgroup seems to be in a big bed or at least have the sides of the cot off. I was going to leave the bed until I move Angus into a new room and the baby goes into the nursery, but thats probably at least 6 months away....
Blake is still in a cot. I'm in no hurry to get him out, or take a side off. He tosses and turns HEAPS in his sleep, I'm sure he'd fall off a single bed, lol! And he'd probably get straight out of bed and play at bedtime as soon as I put him in! So yeah, the cot works and he can stay there ;)
When the next baby comes along and needs a cot, then I'll move him into a bed if we haven't already done it. But that's close to 18 months away at best!
I've had Jemma in a king single since she was about 20mo. She has a bed rail and she loves it. She was sick constantly when I started work so I slept a lot with her on the floor in the lounge room and since then she wouldnt sleep in her cot. I think we had 2 days of getting out to play but I just lay there with her Til she fell asleep then snuck out.
nat - no he hasnt but i think once he does one or two wees it will click. they say persistance and patience are the key! lol
we turned hamish's cot to the toddler bed when we moved. the temporary accommodation only had single beds (after i requested a cot during the booking). we turned up to find no cot there. so hamish slept in a single bed. fell out one night! so we thought we would just turn his cot into a bed. been good since except he often comes into us at night now. i end up putting him in bed with us, wait until he is asleep again, then put him back into his bed. we are getting him a new bed soon. found a bunk (not very high) with steps at the end, heaps of storage, and rails all around so he cant fall out. just getting the money together so we can go and get it. i think his toddler bed isnt comfortable for him. plus he is almost too tall for it too!
Been very quiet in here. Hope everyone is just busy xx
wow definately quieit in here lately!
well we decided to stop trying to toilet train hamish. it appears he isnt ready and still not 100% interested in using the toilet. i dont think it will be too much longer tho. plus he no longer fits into his envious embroidered nappies :( oh well time to pack those ones away then until we decide what we are going to do!
Hamish has just gone up to size 3 clothes and size 10 shoes (big foot) lol everywhere we go someone always asks us how old he is and they all guess he is around 3-4 years old! almost as tall as some of them too! he is going to tower over me and darren when he is older. me its not hard really lol
hope everyone is well xxx
Wow Teresa - that's a big shoe size. I remember going to the child health clinic for immunisations and seeing this boy I thought was really 'behind' in speech and development. It wasn't until the mother said he was 2 and a half - but he looked at least 4! Hope the toilet training comes along soon. I think it's a good idea to give it a break - especially during the winter. Angus has been sitting on his potty each night before a bath for close to 10 months, but has never done anything. I hope he doesn't just think it is a game now...
Well just over 8 weeks until our next baby is due. I'm really nervous about the birth, lack of sleep and getting any housework done. Luckily my Mum will be here for 6 months, otherwise I don't know how I would cope!
Angus is at a beautiful age - I love the 2's! He's just started to say 'no' and 'ok' a few weeks before that. So now I can ask him if he wants to do something and when he says 'ok' it is so much easier. If he says 'no', I just wait a while and rephrase it or make it sound really exciting. He's going to be really helpful with the new baby because he loves to help around the house, unstacking the dishwasher and helping with the washing etc. Lately I've been putting the tv on for an hour or 2 in the morning while I clean and he will watch a bit, draw at his table and then 'read' his books (naming some of the objects out loud). I love this independence!
Breathing some life back into this thread!
Hellllllllooooooo?
:)
