Hey Kylz,

Question for you guys, should of probably asked here first but started a thread. K is 3 months old now and currently on 200 ml of SMA. He wakes up at 6:30 and has a feed, then 9am a feed, 11 a feed, 2: 30 and then 5 pm. He goes to sleep at 6 pm. What are you guys on? A similar time? Just seems like he is eating every few hours and starving. Some oldies and midwife said I could start him on rice cereal instead of the 9 am feed. I am clueless but after reading through the tin, it says 4 bottles is fine for four months and up and 5 bottles suggested for 2-4 months. He has always gone ahead of the time on each formulas suggested food... So should I just up his milk? But... he seems full after the 200ml. Hmmm any thoughts?

Sammie - hope the ab's kick in shortly and you start feeling better real soon. Don't forget to get some inner health plus or some probiotic to stop the thrush etc
Tams - u can try upping his bottle and see if he takes the extra 50mls if not go back to 200 otherwise I'm not sure. Jack feeds every 2hrs during the day so I'm no help :)

Thanks Iona, I am going to try that. He has pretty much always been every fours hour minus the first two in the morning. Going to try that with the next bottle. Wow, every two hours Iona, and uni.... oh and Jack! Supermom! I was just wishing he could talk at this point.... xx
Sammie, Hope you get better soon darlin. I wish we could just have a stand in when mommies get sick sometimes. xx

That's ok tams what time is your meet maybe I come along to that?
-
The meet is at North lakes. 3 of us at this stage. 9am in the food court area. Would love it if you could come. That is not far from Narangba and right off the highway! xx

9 might be bit hard with peak hour traffic from here I could be there at 10 If u still there
-
Tams-Ella has a bottle at 7am 11am 3pm 7pm and 3-4am so that is 5 bottles a day she has 200mls but never finishes them she usually leaves 60mls so that is only 140mls which is not much for a 3 month old and sometimes i have to fight with her to have that so we have been told to offer the bottle 1st and then a little farex after so we do that with the last bottle of an evening and only started it yesterday so i will see how we go.
-
Oh Jayden has only been having 150ml maybe 4/5 times a day and has nothing at night unless he wakes up. Last night and brekky I gave him 200ml

heres a laugh for you girls, in 3 weeks Allyssa has put on 255g and shrunk 1.5cm... apparently im washing her clothes wrong as she has grown out of 0000 (now to long for them) but is measuring shorter then last month!she was gong to have a go about her weight, i told her how much and hw often shwe is feeding so she is happy, for now, that A is growing at her own pace... she has 2 120ml bottles a day, one arround lunch, and a night one befor bed, if i feel run off my feet and cant get to her during the day, she will have a third. (this is why the nurse is laying off about her weight)
Sammie, i hope you start feeling better soon.

I have no idea about feed times either!
I'm a shocker, I demand feed Wyatt so it's all up to him.
Last week I thought I might like to try a routine so I flicked through 'save our sleep'. I threw it across the room and text my friend who gave it to me and said get that Fing book out of my house LOL
-
Best thing to do with that book Jaki!!!!
A has started to fall into similar times for feeds, but she is demand fed too. usually first feed is around 7.30-8am and is fed 2-4 hourly until 8pm when she goes to bed. Probably
Antibiotics have kicked in and starting to feel a bit better now thankfully

Thanks sammie! I don't want to offend anyone but I don't think she should be allowed to Market it as appropriate for BFing mothers. If I followed her routine Wyatt would starve!
So glad your feeling better!

Oooo. I love that book, it is fantastic for me to get an idea of what is what. Routine is pretty important to me but each to their own. I never follow it to the T, just use some ideas and trying not to have Kolton dependent on anything is exactly what I was looking for which helps me, even just having an idea of what to do as I have no one in person to help me/ or otherwise is great. I am doing the best I can but still have people telling me it is wrong as a child sleeping through this early will have heaps of psychological problems ect... WTF? Now I just smile and nod. It is getting easier but it takes a bit to block out all the harsh judgement that is out there. Some people must have lots of time to focus on others....
Jak, I would never be offended. Everyone is different. When I say, I cheer on and support others whatever they choose to do, I mean it.
Everyone has their own different views and I think it is fantastic. It is what makes this world so diverse and awesome. I think it is my fave quote that sums it up.
It is one thing to know you are on the right path but it is quite another to think yours is the only one. : )
Hope to see you this morning Kylz. I am off and running now as Zo needs to catch the bus. xx

Yeah I think it's fine (the routine part) for FF bubs. Cause you know how much they have drunk etc. Wyatt is so fussy I never know if he has had a good drink, then stuff happens like I got sick so my supply went down. Plus it's digested to much faster.
The part that I also didn't like (for us) is the, no dummy, no baby talk, no music, no eye contact.
I'm not strong enough not to do all that! Lol
Love your attitude babe :D
