I haven't been game to try the Grobag again! Our house is too cold I think, and he's sleeping so well with his arms wrapped up so I'll just leave it for now.

The face rubbing seems to have been short lived as there is definitely too much else going on to concentrate on mama while feeding! When we are out, I now find it easier to feed him in the ergo while I walk around because if I sit down to feed him, I spend more time with my boob hanging out then I do actually feeding him!

AF didn't end up returning. I think I have a bit of prolapse going on, because I seem to have a LOT of CM on the days when I have forgotten to do my kegels. I get a bit of pain if I sit on the fitball for too long too.

C had his 4 month shots on Friday and I didn't plan anything for the wkd thinking we'd have a bit of a ****ty time, but no. They didn't seem to affect him at all, which is good. He slept through on Saturday night to about 5am which was ok as DH had to get up then for golf anyway.

He is growing perfectly :) he is off the chart for his weight... Such a little chunker! The Dr said he is very long as well, measuring 66cm long.

I went to Ikea today to get his high chair... How has the time gone so quickly that I'm buying my boy a bluddy high chair already?? Crazy!!

Fuzzy, how are you feeling now hon? Lucky bub didn't catch it but not so good for the rest of the family. I'm terrible without internet/phone access, I feel cut off from the world!

Rosey, I was :o at your MIL's insensitivity. Such a private moment, not cool for her to share it. Aw, hopefully you'll be able to give your darling girl a sibling soon. I too loved being pregnant but to be honest I'm not in a hurry to do it again. Probably just the one for us. RE: stranger danger, I reckon it might be the age as Willow is very clingy at the moment too. She tracks me around the room even when Dad is holding her. Hopefully the naps get on an even keel soon but don't worry if they don't, every day seems to be different! How are you feeling generally babe? RE: rolling, she can't quite get there on her own but prefers going back to tummy as she loves tummy time and gets cranky when I roll her the other way. Impatient little miss. Elocin, nice one on feeding in the Ergo; I haven't quite mastered it yet. So glad C is ok after his shots and growing so beautifully! Handsome little fella.

Howdy to the other ladies.

AFM: not much new other than the latest FB updates - first tooth starting to move but horror weekend seems to be behind us. Overnight sleeps are still no longer than 3-4 hours, but she's taking both sides so must need it. I keep reminding myself that it won't be forever :D and I'm thankful that she's (mostly) easy to get down. She's dropped a feed and is so nosey that I try to avoid BF while we're out as she just can't concentrate. Once again the backseat of the car and I are great friends. That sounds terrible LOL, you know what I mean!! No idea what she weighs but she's definitely growing as I've had to pack away the last of the 000s and buy more 00 onesises.

Am loving seeing her cheeky personality unfold. Now when she goes down for day naps she spends 10-15 minutes cooing and chatting to the owl rattle above her bassinet, gets tired, yells for me to put her dummy in and then turns her head away from and toddles off to sleep. Her favourite activities are the rolling game, standing/sitting, dancing in front of the mirror with her unco mum, and watching my hands as I sing Incey Wincey Spider. Tried out the Bumbo yesterday - she's still pretty wobbly but liked looking around. Only just starting to properly grab things and move them to her mouth, other than her fists and fingers - which are permanently in there, covered in drool. She's getting very strong, kicks like crazy in the bath (so much for wind-down time!) so I think she's going to really enjoy swimming lessons in a few months time. Getting a few more giggles, which is like a drug and I can't get enough.

Four-month jabs are next week and I'm dreading them.

Hi Everyone!

Sorry I've been so slack, we have been going away alot on DF's days off. I am so over the whole packing/unpacking and not sleeping in our own bed, yet we're doing it again on Friday, hopefully for only 1 or 2 nights. DD is good, had 4 mth needles last week and she is 8.1kg and 64cm long. Our exciting news is that I have booked our flights overseas to go see DF's family in 2 months. It's going to be more of a crazy busy holiday than a relaxing one but I'm looking forward to it.

Buffy - A good tip for when bubs is getting needles is to take a noisy toy for after they've been jabbed. Wave it around and make some noise to help distract them, it reduces crying time :)

Elocin - I hope that you don't have a prolapse. Have you been to the doc to get it checked out? How do you manage to feed in the ergo? Do you have to undo the straps? I haven't tried it, but probably should give it a go. I can see it being a bit awkward though. I usually have to use one hand to support my boob when feeding.

Sararose - We're not pushing tummy time here either. DD's starting to roll over from her back to belly alot though so I generally will leave her for a bit on her belly until she gets grumpy.

Rosey - Wow, that is so inconsiderate of your MIL. Day sleeps are more miss than hit here at the moment . I did have DD going down for naps in our room in the bassinet, then DF went on night shift and I didn't want to wake him so it's all gone out the window.

Sloane - Glad to hear that the party was a success and everyone had a good time!

Peanutter - how did you go with your blocked duct? I heard somewhere that the ducts under bubs chin get drained more when they are feeding, so chnging from cradle hold to football hold can help. Not sure if that's true or not.

Hey Fuzzy, wowzers, you have been busy travelling around! Are you going far from home on these mini-breaks?

Where is your overseas trip to? DH mentioned something about us going o/s at Christmas but I doubt the budget will allow it, so I'm not holding my breath. It would be awesome though.

I haven't bothered getting anything checked out... the pain has subsided and there is very little CM at the moment.

To feed in the Ergo, I just loosen both straps so Connor slides down a bit - head level with boob, or just above - and I put the sunshade over his head. I still support my boob with my hand... think chicken wing! My hand covers any exposed boob at the side which is good too!!

No rolling here yet, he can kick himself around on the mat and while he's doing tummy time, he pushes one arm down like he's going to roll, but he can't figure out what to do with his legs.

Hi All! It's been quiet in here I'm hoping that means everything is settling down nicely for you all.

I was just wondering if anyone else's bub is waking frequently? My DD has been waking every 45mins last night. Previous nights haven't been much better. All I want so desperately is to close my eyes and not wake up for a very long time, feeling physically ill. She seems so gassy but I don't think that's the whole reason, I can't feel any toothy pegs.... I dunno :(

DS2 had two rotten nights on the weekend but has settled down again, thank goodness.

That's rough hon, you must be so tired. My bub does that during the day, especially at the moment. There's a lot going on in terms of their development at this age and it can really screw around with their sleep. Have you noticed her doing anything new? Google 'four month sleep regression' - ours is still going at almost five :)

Can you rest during the day at all?

4 months can be a horrid time for sleep. dd isn't waking that frequently (more like every 2 hours) but my ds was similar.
