Just a quicky from me, will post back later. I thought I had subscribed to the new thread but it seems not as I just realised I have missed 3 pages of chatter - whoops!

We are brace free as you would have all seen on FB - going great - Bailey is soooo much more independent, less clingy and he's offf!! First night was a bit restless, but we brought him into our bed and got him back to sleep. I think it will take him a few days to adjust - he's always been a happy little man, but its really gone up a very obvious notch - makes it bittersweet as I think he should have been like this all along! We are really enjoying it all, changing nappy's is EASY, and we used a high chair while out for lunch today - OMIGOD - how much easier is life when you can use a high chair?

Anyway, might go prepare dinner while Bailz is snoozing

BG - Oh poor E! How sad that she hurt herself when she was being such a good girl! Oh, I was talking to some of the girls at mother's group the other day, and two of them work with children (one in child care, the other in kindy I think), and apparently it's now recommended not to put ice on a baby/toddler/young child anywhere from their shoulders up. I had no idea until they told me. Apparently a cool flannel is meant to be better. Not sure why... Not that I'm saying you've done anything wrong though! I want to ask my doctor about it because I'm not sure about it yet.
I'm glad your headache is a bit better since seeing the chiro. No more falls for you missy!!!

ooh, i didn't explain that very well! we have only ever put cold cloths on E at home, and the other day, we got a cold pack (not ice) and wrapped it in a dry tea towel - so it was cold, but it wasn't icy. the bruise i feared was gone the next day! yay!!

i have been working on getting things "just so" for E's birthday - have her outfit here, headband and clips on the way, shoes either on their way, or here (depends on whether i like the ones i won on FB when they get here!), food almost all ready (freezer is looking good! just gotta make some more sausage rolls today). loot bags all pretty much done, just need to add names to them (we did age-appropriate loot bags so it took a bit longer to organise, but i'm happy with them!), ummmmm, just gotta clean up and make all the spare beds properly accessible. at this stage we have 9 extras overnight on Saturday night - maybe a couple more. will have beds everywhere!! am waiting for DH to tell me he wants to do something ridiculous like bacon and eggs for breakfast for everyone next morning - ummm NOPE - there is cereal, there will be bread - if that isn't enough for them, they can go early and get maccas on their way home! i can't believe our princess is one is SIX days! oooh, i think i will have to go and buy myself some jeans at the end of the week - my jeans are falling down and look bloody awful - and i figure i'm not wearing a skirt if it's 10 degrees! and don't want to wear work clothes either

Ahhhh CJ has had a personality transplant - she has been so difficult this weekend and I am so unprepared for it! She gets fed up of being on floor and cries, pick her up cries etc etc, day sleeps seem to be impossible to achieve unless out and about (although has gone down well past two nights after being a pain most evenings last week and making me very tired for the Melbourne Meet on Friday night!) - she was ok at the footy today though but seems to really hate her change table and screams like I have never heard before. She has no temp now, and have mastered the giving of antibiotics (lie her down get the syringe in mouth quite far at side and she chews on it while I squirt it in - sometimes she gargles a bit with it but all goes down) - not sure if ear/throat still giving her grief, nose is still a bit mucousy - said to my mum I want my old DD back! She said I was only ever a pain if my ears giving me grief so fingers crossed - must remember this thread motto "this too shall pass". The tiredness has lead to some irrational behaviour and tears on my part - but went to bed at 8:00pm last night and felt much better tonight. I have this paranoia that CJ isn't growing, not sure why, but last week at football someone said she looked like 6 months, and then in the park yesterday someone said how small she looked for her age - but she has always been big for her age 75% so these too comments just play on my mind anyway we are getting weighed etc a week on Friday. She still feels pretty heavy to me, and looks big in the pushchair but sometimes I do think she looks small or the same size as she was two months ago. DH disagrees and I know she is growing out of some clothes so she must be growing!

Congrats Krystie, and also hooray Naomi for brace free life - I am so pleased for you and Bailey (and Sean of course) - we go for hip check next week.

Jamie has changed so much vic he is such a different little boy than he used to be maybe shes just growing up but the crying passed for jamie so it should all be ok xoxoxoxoxox

I keep looking at Allira and thinking she is tiny. She looks small out there in the real world, but standing next to Lachie she is pretty big. She's at Lachie's shoulders height wise which I think is pretty good considering he is nearly 3.
She still has a teeny foot though, and can squeeze into some size 2 ( 3-6 month) shoes, but is mainly in size 3's and I finally have her in one pair of size 4's but she'll be in them a while. It's odd, because Adam and I have pretty big feet. I'm sure they'll grow.

Nicky, Kyson is growing OUT of his pair of 12-18month shoes!!! He has huge feet like me poor thing. I'll tell him he's evolutionally advanced because as a trend feet are getting bigger, lol!

jamie is in size 5's now MIL said oh they cant fit but they do shows wat she knows lol then she goes oh he'll have big feet then lol

i bet Jade is the smallest, last measurements she was 8kg and 72cm, that was about a month ago. she is only just into size 0's.

Hi everyone
Just had Allira's 12 month appt.... she is MUCH taller than I thought. 80cms! she's grown 11 cms in 4 months!
She now weighs 10.14 kgs and her HC is 46.5cms.
Only dramas we had were, nearly getting bogged in my driveway when we were leaving, Lachie falling of a chair and smashing his forehead against a really thick sharp edged table... so now I have to keep a close eye on him, and nearly getting bogged in the middle of the paddock on the way home. LOL.
Poor Lachie's head looks terrible. He has a huge lump on it, massive bruising. I thought he'd sliced it open.
Will keep an eye on him and see how the poor man goes.

Haha isn't that funny! Kyson's foot is so much bigger than Allira's! You would think she needed a bigger foot to get a better grip.

I'm about to go and check on Lachie... a little worried about concussion.

Nicky: Sorry to hear about Lachie's head! Poor little guy - is he better today? LOL @ getting bogged everywhere. A joy of living out in the sticks ;) We are about to head up to Cunnamulla. They've had loads of rain out there but I think the ground will be dry by the time we get there. Allira's a good size. I feel soooooo guilty about how long it's been since I took Phoebe to the health nurse!
Emma: Jade is only a little bit smaller than P. At last weigh (about 4-5 weeks ago at the drs) she was 8.4kg and I just know she's a shortie like her sister. She's in similar sizing to what N was when she was 1. Mostly size 0s which is a pest because the clothes I have are now the wrong season! Our 0's are mostly summery.
KL: LOL @ "evolutionally advanced"! I must be too - my feet are a 10. I hate shoe shopping because there're never any nice ones in my size. I just wear big clod-hopping ones. My kids seem to be taking after DH - he's got smaller feet than me, is a tiny bit shorter and is lighter. My girls are littlies just like him.
I've heard that about the ice too. I find it hard to put anything on Natty's head - she hates it. I haven't had to with Phoebe just yet - she has bopped her chin and her cheek but I only knew how bad it was once the bruise came on. The ice inhibits blood flow, so that's why they say not to apply it to a head, I think. But as I said, if kids are generally like mine then good luck getting ANYTHING onto their head injuries!
Vic: Nothing like a bit of sleep deprivation to cloud your judgement. I am sure CJ is growing just fine. My girls are ferals when they are sick. It's not surprising that even beautiful-natured CJ isn't exempt from feeling crappy every now and again! Still, sorry she is giving you a little grief, poor thing. The AB administration is funny, hey? Phoebe was going really well - I was able to syringe it into her mouth while she was upright... until she worked out how to spit it in my face. So now I have to lie her back almost upside down to stop her from spitting it out. Ah well... not too much longer to go. She is improving but now Natty has come down with a cold/cough. I hope she doesn't end up needing ABs too cause I've absolutely no idea of how to get them into her.

Nay: Congrats again on brace-free living. So pleased that Bailz is blossoming. Must've been just the best birthday present.

Life has been very sucky here lately with two sick girls, a DH so preoccupied with this damn holiday that he's oblivious to life around him and me too stressed and tired for my own (or anyone else's) good. I go through phases of hating my life, feeling like I'm a shocking mother because I never see my kids cause of stupid work, and not being able to cope with Natty's behaviour (she is being SO rude lately, pushing the boundaries to the EXTREME) and seeing Phoebe become a whingy-pants just like Natty was. But then an hour later I feel like I'm the luckiest person in the world: two gorgeous, healthy babies who do love me, a job that's stimulating, a supportive family, a roof over our heads etc. I think AF must be due... (Forgot to mention she came back last month.)
Phoebe has discovered the joy of mandarins and oranges. I can't let her see them in the fruit bowl or she goes MENTAL. She is blowing kisses and now waves and she has said her first word! "Bye!" It was Natty's first word too. She's started saying it when she waves - it's adorable. She has worked out how to get down the stairs backwards - this is an achievement I'm VERY pleased about - it means no more stupid gates for me to fall over! Last night she even slept well (though that could've been a one-off, I suppose). She woke once at 3, then slept til 6:30. Natty on the other hand woke at 3 as well and drove me insane until 5:30. I "slept" on her floor til 6 when I thought I'd go back to bed... then Phoebe woke up. These girls are ganging up on me already.

Just a quick post here today, sorry no persies. Well I am starting to get organised for Jemimas birthday but it is at least 2 weeks after the last of you so I have some time. I am hand making some cards for her and I think I will post a bellybabies only photo album on fb so I can show you all. They are so cute but they take awhile to do so I won't be sending any extras to ppl who I know can't come (like you all) except maybe my sister and my MIL. Who will really appreciate them. I am doing a lil birthday theme. I think I will have heaps of left over paper and I saw this idea for storing babies hair clips that I think I will copy with the left overs. Basically you buy a cheap canvas, (you can get them for a couple of dollars from crazy clarks) decorate it however you like and then secure a ribbon at the top of the canvas at the back and lay it firmly over the canvas and then secure at the bottom underneath. Then you can clip all your little clips onto the ribbon and hang it on the wall. ATM I have all of Jemima's little clips in a box and it is easy to forget or not find what i want. I am gonna use the left over pieces of paper and do it decoupage. Anyway I am gonna go as Jemima needs to go to bed. Love you all.

she hasn't officially been given her outfit yet (it's her present from my folks so she gets it on Friday). it is a dusty pink ruffled skirt, cream top, and dusty pink fur-looking jacket - so cute! she has custom headband to match, and (with luck) will have some shoes arrive too (i think she forgot to post them). Maz has made her a gorgeous nappy in the right colors too, so will have a yummy cover (and some cream baby legs to keep her warm!). hmmm, i think this is a little too well planned lol!

her birthday party is coming together nicely. have started decorating early to take pressure off the next few days. i was home from work feeling way too queasy from no sleep yesterday, so spent the time sitting still doing name cards for loot bags, have wrapped all but one of her presents (well, 2, but her bracelet is not going to be wrapped). have balloons ready to blow up friday night, banners ready to go up, tarps organised to close the carport off from weather. we've even dug out the garden speakers (speakers hidden in rocks) to put outside. food pretty much ready - ahhhh so looking forward to this weekend!! Cake smash is all set for Sunday - with luck, Lou may give me the memory card from her camera straight away. who knows? hope so!

Bella - i have been looking and seen a lot of different clip holders like you mentioned - i'm tempted to get some fabric i have here (gold) embroidered with an E in the corner (a fancy one) and then using colored ribbon to make it more lively, and maybe a three dimensional butterfly or something - not sure - but i need to do something. one of my friends has been wanting to get a stash of clips for her girls, but has to hide it from her DP, so they've been coming here - given we were sharing postage and only looking at sales... ah well, she will have enough hair soon enough (i hope!)

Em - I'm getting E weighed on Friday - she is definitely heavier than Jade though - she was 10.5kg at 11.5months (we've been keeping an eye on her weight - trying to avoid turning her carseat a bit longer)

Has been a real busy few weeks for us and feel really bad for posting to my BB.
As some of you know from FB Aaron got the all clear that he does NOT have GA 1 on his Birthday....BEST gift ever and my baby boy can finally eat everything!!
So just need to monitor his HC once a month till our next neuro visit in September.

Aaron's Party went well other than little man running a slight fever...but today he is finally back to his old self!
He got sooo spoilt with gifts that I am sure if I came home with one more thing DH would divorce me...LOL!!

So many 1st Birthday's coming up it so exciting to see all the bubbas on FB on their special day

Hi Beautiful Mummy’s!

I have my cup of tea and mint slices and BB and am not going anywhere until I get a bloody post written LOL

Sorry I have been MIA, have been jumping on FB most nights, but working full time is HARD. I can’t wait until I go part time – its only about 6 weeks I think, then I’ll have Tuesdays working from home and Thursdays off so it will be so much easier, I can spend more quality time with Bailz and get a bit done around the house, catch up with some of my SAH Mummy’s again and keep up with our Baby Buddies Gang :) It’s been so long since I’ve had time to post, I feel like I can’t catch up, but here I go..........

Krystie – I am still so mega excited for you! You must be walking on air! What a great result from your cycle and your little girl is on her way, what a great feeling it is when you learn you are pregnant. How’s it all going? How are you feeling? Is it hard to keep it a secret? How does it feel to be having a girl? So many questions tehehehehehe My little brother (Simon) is only 18 months younger than me and we have a great relationship – he is Bailey’s godfather. I think the age gap is fine. Personally, I am not ready for another baby yet, but not too far away, maybe a year or so behind you. But your kids will benefit from growing up so close, and I hope it transfers into adulthood and they have a great relationship like I do with Simon. Thanks for the ice tip, I didn’t know that (have told Sean too) as we have these little ‘Boo Boo Buddies’ in the freezer for ouchies – shaped like a pirate and a truck LOL

Bridg – Sorry to hear you aren’t in a good place, I read your post in the BooHoo thread and I’m a little confused, what’s happening babe? If you need a shoulder to cry on, an ear to listen? Sending you LOADS of cyber hugs seeing I am so far away. You have my number, call any time, I can take calls at work. Hope things turn around for you beautiful Mumma, you are strong and wonderful and you can get through ANYTHING! Just look how strong you were when the twins were babies. Bella – tehehehee, I totally get the jealousy feeling when someone else announces their pregnancy. Although I haven’t felt it for a while, when I was TTC and not having much luck I would have EXTREME reactions to pregnancy announcements (well hidden of course) and although there was happiness for them, I was overwhelmed wishing it was me. I know you aren’t at the extreme desperate infertile state of mind I was in, but I get it nonetheless :) How exciting re having your 30th celebration this year – hope it is awesome and lots of fun! LOVE the new avi!

Emma – Hope you enjoyed celebrating Jade turning one, it must be so tough to have to share her with her day, thats a tough one babe. I admire you for doing it solo – you are doing a fab job, Jade is clearly thriving and watching your video’s of her, she is one switched on bubba! (and gorgeous too). I would have smacked your XP girlfriend in the face (OK I wouldn’t have but I would have wanted too!! LOL) What a cow!

Vic – How’s CJ going? Hope she is feeling better. Glad she is a happy patient though. My Mum was telling me that she would have us all sick (she had three babies in 4.5 years) and take us all to the doctors and we’ll all be running around like we’d never been sick – LOL, kids and babies are so resilient. I’m never sure whether to take Bailz to the Drs or not, sometimes I just wait it out till the next day and more often than not whatever seems to be bothering seems to end, but sounds like you know perfectly what you are doing. Re giving medicine, I haven’t used one myself, but saw this dummy shaped sucker medicine dispenser thing in the chemist – so basically baby sucks on it thinking it’s a dummy and sucks the medicine – not sure if CJ has a dummy, but it’s an idea. Bailey is a panadol wh0re so no problems here LOL. It seems childcare certainly exposes them to new germs, bugs etc, I’m preparing myself for it when Bailz starts in July. But yeah, like BG, I am also of the opinion that a “bit of dirt won’t hurt”, I think if you keep babies in an antiseptic ‘bubble’ you do nothing for their immune systems rather than make it rather fragile. Hope CJ is back to her normal self and good luck for the hip check this week

BG – Sounds like your headaches are a result of all the stuff whirling about in your head babe, you have a hell of a lot on your plate at the moment (and handling it all well might I add), but you can’t sustain that pressure for ever, and you need to take care of yourself (easier said than done though hey?) I totally understand the sleep deprivation and running on ‘auto’, hopefully things settle down babe! I hope you have an absolute blast for E’s birthday after working so hard – I cannot WAIT to see the pic’s :) Sounds like you are well prepared for E’s party with all the cooking and pre-prep! Nice work organised Mummy! Oh, and I loved watching the vid of E walking – what a clever poppet! :D We haven’t turned the car seat around yet either, hoping to keep it rear facing for a few more months too.

Kat – all good re the FB cull – TOTALLY understand! Love your ‘secret’ one though – what a shame FB wouldn’t let you have Secret Santosha!! Keep posting some pic’s of Ivy if you feel comfortable, would love to keep up with her progress :)

Nicole – glad Aarons birthday went well, and a massive YAY re the all clear re the GA1, what a wonderful birthday present. It’s crazy to have a one year old isn’t it – I can’t believe that it’s a whole year since I gave birth, I remember it all so clearly now. Don’t feel bad for not posting, we all know how busy we are and how hard it is to keep up with a little one to also look after.

Nicky – speaking of one year olds, how’s Allira going? Glad you all had fun at her birthday! How cute re her little feet – I have big feet (size 10) and Sean’s are size 11, Bailey hasn’t worn shoes yet so I don’t really know what size he is, I s’pose I should get him used to them for childcare – any suggestions of good first shoes? Ooooh, poor Lachie – how’s he going babe? Hope no concussion, what a terrible accident. Hope you are ok too, it’s always a bit of a scare isn’t it? I must measure Bailz height now that I can, still have no idea of his length/height.

Amy – I think you are entitled to a bit of “woe-is-me”, we all go through rough patches, and you are dead right with your advice to Vic, sleep deprivation does could the judgement. Hope your holiday is fab, despite your dread LOL. Cute re Phoebs waving – Bailz is waving, clapping and blowing kisses when we ask (MOST of the time LOL) and it’s so cute, my heart melts every time. When I put him to bed Sean does this peek-a-boo routine where he comes back into the bedroom a few time which Bailey adores, then he gives Bailey a kiss (to which Bailey puckers up for) and Bailz waves as Sean backs out of the room, it’s too cute, such a lovely little routine. I have size 10 klompers too – and my feet are wide which makes buying shoes difficult. I had trouble finding girly, pretty wedding shoes which didn't make my feet look like they were exploding out of the shoes way back when, now I buy sensible Mummy shoes LOL. Doh re the girls ganging up on you already – aren’t they supposed to wait until they are annoying teenagers? LOL How’s Phoebe’s tonsillitis?

AFU – Things are going pretty well here, Bailz sleep is almost back to normal (he generally sleeps till about midnightish, gets wakeful and then sleeps with us (cos we are too tired to spend half and hour getting him back to sleep, easier just to chuck him in between us), I think he was getting a bit tangled up in his grobag and was using the 2.5 tog one but have gone back to the 1.0 tog for now as I think he was getting a bit warm too. When it cools more I’ll revert to the heavier one. About 3 nights before the brace came off he slept from 7pm-530am in his cot which was WONDERFUL, then of course he was unsettled after the brace came off and his sleep went to crap so that was short lived, hopefully it will return. Sean has been able to get him to go to sleep unaided during the day which is amazing as he’s always been a baby who needed to be rocked to sleep, but Sean puts him in his cot when he starts to close his eyes a bit and Bailz now puts himself off to sleep – WOW! Hope that continues so he gets some decent sleep at child care. Having no brace is just awesome, life is so much easier and quicker (eg baths, nappy changes) and I love using the high chair, I just load up the high chair tray with Bailz food and he eats happily and feeds himself happily. His confidence has skyrocketed, when I used to get home from work he would cling to me until his bed time, now he gives me a hug and after 5 or so mins he goes back to playing happily – I can even leave the room and he doesn’t care – it’s awesome! He’s always been such a happy kid, but there is now this laid back happiness that I’ve never seen before, it’s like its gone up a notch and he laughs and giggles much more constantly than ever before. And although it’s great, it makes me mourn a little for what we all may have missed while he was in the brace, it seemed it took away his confidence and independence in hindsight. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining and am sooooo glad we are at this point, but it’s bittersweet, yeah?

I went to the Dr today as I’ve been getting regular migraines in the last 6 or so months and we’ve identified that its during ‘that time of the month’, We think it’s the pill, and when I am on the sugar pills the oestrogen drop is the culprit so the Dr suggested I go back on the mini pill which should avoid this. When I was on the mini pill after having Bailz my periods never went back to normal, but now that they have been regular for some time, hopefully they will stay that way. Hopefully I will stop using contraception again sometime after Christmas but for now, hopefully this will help as the migraines I have been having have been quite debilitating (e.g. I need to go to bed and stay there until it passes). Other than that, just have been busy with work and life. As I said at the top of my post, I cant wait until I go part time, working 5 days straight is tough and I miss my baby desperately.

Nay - While I know that I would have loved another little boy... I'm ecstatic to be having a girl, hehe. I can't wait to experience the differences between raising a little boy and a little girl. I've decided in real life to just tell people that I'm sure that we are going to have a little girl and they can just assume it's some kind of intuition of something hehe. It'll be too hard to keep a secret I think.


Well, I got good news today. I had a follow up blood test, and my hcg level has increased to over 6000. It was awesome news to get because I had been getting a little worried because I haven't had any morning sickness so far. I should just be thanking my lucky stars, but I couldn't help worrying a little because I know that it had started already at this stage with Kyson. Hopefully being a second pregnancy, and with a baby of the other sex, maybe I just won't get any morning sickness this time, lol!

Off to Sydney tomorrow and trying to pack so apologies for short post - but just wanted to wish, Emerald, Logan, Phoebe & Cara - Happy Birthday! (will not be on net till Tuesday) - Looking forward to catching up on the birthday pics when we get back.

Amy - Next time we are in Sydney will have to try meet up - this time is manic as is for a wedding reception but I suspect will be up your way for a longer holiday not too far away.

Thanks for all the encouragement and advice - CJ is back to her normal self now (but screaming blue murder trying to get medicine down her - lucky is last day today), and she is a champ today because I woke up with such a sore block duct in one boob (I thought those days would be behind us at 12 months!) and was worried because going on holiday etc - but with some feeding acrobatics she managed to drain it on second feed of day (or it could have been me massaging it with electric toothbrush - I was desperate and heard about physio's using ultrasound on blocked ducts and my toothbrush said sonic on it so I thought maybe the vibrations from that could help!)

God I hate packing!

(Oh and the other night I dreamt my friend from Mothers Group had twins and in the dream I was really mad and saying that's it no chance of me having twins now you are having them! - where does this obsession with twins come from!)

vic ooooh i feel for you BF mums!!! i have to FF DD cause of the medications im on but i remember when i BF for the first 2 weeks and i got a bad blocked duct omg it hurt so much!!! you guys who are still BF are my idols lol..... plus i miss having pamela anderson boobs :P

Emma- When I had Jake and Zac, I ended up with mastitis. That was not fun at all! It's amazing how our little ones advance so quickly.

Oh I agree about needing a pause button Naomi! Jemima is just advancing so quickly I just want her to stop!!! Every cuddle we have and every time I hold her as she falls asleep I don't worry that she doesn't self settle I worry that one day she will and won't need me any more and it will all just be one more symptom that she is growing up too soon!!

hi to everyone else - time for some selfish "OMG my baby just turned ONE" waffle from me!

we had the most amazing day yesterday for her birthday - it was (almost) perfect - sleep deprivation made it a little less than perfect by the end of the day, but that's ok! i can cope with that lol

decided to take a pic of her at the time she was born - she woke up 30 seconds before the alarm went off and wanted a feed. so her pic at being exactly 12 months old is her BF - just perfect! she then had another early morning feed, and slept through until 9.35, which gave DH and I time to hang balloons and things outside ready to go. we had her presents on her little couch, with helium unicorn/number 1 balloons around the room. she wasn't all that interested in the presents but loved the contents! Mum and my aunt got here early to help finish setting up, got the poppet to have a big sleep, and then got ready for party. she got out of the shower just as her first lot of guests arrived - and from then, it was just full on but amazing. the kids had a ball playing around (was about 15 kids, all ages), E just loved it! her cake was AMAZING (and the top half is being smashed with a phtographer this afternoon).

we had a heap of people here overnight last night - so it was still very full on. there was an extra 16 people til about 10.30, and nine of those stayed overnight. E had slept from 6-9 from exhaustion, then got up and wanted dinner and play. i was ok with that, but walked in to find that the 18 and 16 year olds had decided that keeping the jelly in their bowls away from E wasn't important. i have no idea how much she got before i found them, but i DO know it must have been a bit given she was awake til after midnight! thankfully i was in a reasonable state of mind (given how tired i was, i could have flipped) and forgave them given it's her bday - but they were warned that i don't forget and when they have kids, my revenge will be sweet bwahahahah

E is MUCH happier now than she was when she got up today - she is no longer being pulled at by five kids (her godparents kids) for attention - she is more than happy to play on her own which is fantastic.

must away though - need to get some more clean up done - it got to a point last night where i figured "food away, i'll deal with mess tomorrow!) and now that tomorrow is here... sigh

I have been trying to build Phoebe's cake - I'm a complete nutter. I am trying to do a rubber duckie and it's not really coming together too well! BUT I also piped some meringues shaped like ducks and ... they ROCK!!! LOL. So tired.

Hi everyone! Seems I'm a tad defective. lol.
Had an eye test on the weekend, and I'm going to be the newest member of the sexy spexy club (a.k.a - I need glasses).
Just for reading though.
Apparently, I'm long sighted in one eye and have been since birth!! AMAZING! Never ever have I noticed any issues with my vision... but during the test is was quite obvious. Even the bloke testing me couldn't believe it. LOL.
I don't know much about what he was telling me... trying to find someone who does?
Apparently my left eye is +4 and my right is +12?? lol. Also my eye pressures are only just within the normal range so I have to go back for another test in 12 months! OMG one of the parts of my body that I thought was functioning properly, and I was wrong. LOL
That along with spraining my ankle at netball, (and trying to be tough and playing another quarter only to aggravate my poor knee) and I didn't have a fantastic weekend. Well, the pub crawl made up for it. Hoping that the incriminating pics don't make it to FB. LOL.

Anyway... that's enough excitement from me. Allira's doing a run/jog now and she's just doing so many more things than I thought a 12 month old did. Lachie's head is still bruised, but he's been ok. I tell you what though... nearly 3 year old boys are hard work. I hope that doesn't scare too many of you. haha. I won't go into details in case I do. lol.

lol nicky!!! i think you did well for going so long and not even knowing!!, what about wearing contacts? i wear coloured ones on the weekend and they are quite comfy once you get used to it. prescription ones are prob even more comfy...and photos are not good hha so many drunken ones of me on fb!

AFM i am still trying to get used to jade crawling and pulling herself up on EVERYTHING....anything less than a metre off the ground isnt safe! her new saying is 'hey bubby' caus i say that to her every morning when i get her out of her cot, and now she says it to her dolls, too cute!! she has been trying quite a few 2 word sentences, not quite there yet but she has got mumma, dadda, rat and dog sussed... 'didoo' is bottle, not sure how that came to be, and of course hey bubby LOL

hmmmm good work getting along so far in life without knowing you were long sighted Nicky! i have been longsighted in one eye all my life, the other has gone from long sighted to short sighted to normal vision - i have astigmatisms though, so i still need glasses on that eye. i find contacts exceptionally annoying day to day - my eyes get too dry using the computers at work and stuff - so i'll stick to the goggles! they've been a part of my life since i was 11 months old - i'm sure i'll cope lol can't remember exactly what the +4/+12 thing refers to - i think it is pretty much saying you're pretty badly long sighted in the +12 eye and only mildly in the +4...

so tired today. think the crash from all the planning and stuff for E's bday has happened in a BIG way. she seems to have crashed now too. cake smash was awesome fun yesterday, but the sugar high for the poppet has resulted in a nasty crash today. she is still being gorgeous but she is more snuggly...

need to get motivated - want to get some photos printed while Big W have them cheap - am still in my jim jams at lunch time though and E is asleep.... oops!

Nicky- Boo for the injuries but yay for the pub crawl making it better. I think BG has summed it up pretty well re the eyesight.

Emma- It becomes even more fun when they start walking around furniture, and then when they start walking properly. lol. Great news on Jade talking! She's such a cutie!

BG- Glad to hear the cake smash went well. I have been checking out the b'day pics on FB, and they are gorgeous!

AFU, Logan had an ok day yesterday. It was only us, my mum, sister and FIL. Logan was a bit grumpy from his teeth and was tired. He wasn't sure what to do with his cupcake. He did eat some of it.

Hi!! Just had a little get-together for P's birthday and the girls are finally in bed asleep and I'm in my jarmies. Am just about to pop onto FB to check out everyone else's b'day pics - now that P's is over I feel like I can spend a bit more time looking at everyone elses!
Didn't take too many pics, although DH got some lovely videos. Phoebe was a bit tired and cranky, but generally I think she had a nice time.
