I put Levi on his right side, pat his bum for a while the starry to tilt him onto his back because he can't roll yet he slowly falls to his back without me touching him so he doesn't wake. During the day he sleeps in his bouncer a lot, if I see his tired signs early I put him in his cot but if I miss then he sleeps where he falls lol.
His head shape has started to change already yay! I was a little worried it would take a month to go back. He does have a bald spot in the right from being tilted that way so often but I can live with that lol.

I generally don't wrap Abby either. What I've done since being home from hospital is put a muslin type wrap draped over the mattress in her bassinet in a diamond shape with her head going where a point is that way if need be I can drape the two outer corners over her and I will occasionally tuck one side under the mattress to keep her warmer over night. I find this way it's minimal interference from me if I need to keep her warmer - I don't need to pick her up, if she were to spit up it's just a quick change of the wrap not the bassinet bed linen and I've always been paranoid about having a baby all wrapped up just incase the wrap ends up covering there head in any way. The way I do the wrap it can cover them but stays under her arms at all times. Hope that made sense!

I've only got access on my phone at the moment for Internet cos my computer screen has crashed, found out yesterday I got extended warranty when I bought it 2.5 yrs ago woohoo!! So looks like I score a new computer this year :D

HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!!!!!!
We did stay up to 12, had some friends over for a bbq who also have a little girl, so we kept it low key!!
AM thats heaps interesting about Levi's head! So giood that it seems to be getting better!! Good advice, we will try those ideas and hopefully it helps Violet's head - the helmet idea doesnt sound too appealing!! I poster a pic of the crooked head shape - is it similar to levi's?

Danni the pics of Abby are gorgeous! She has such pretty eyes!!
CK wow awesome sleep you got out of Alex!! No wonder your boobs were sore!!!
Lolpigs - are you paranoid of sids too? I am too so we bought a respiratory monitor, by the brand Oricom - theres a pad that lays under the mattress and the device that hooks up to it has a light that flashes with each breath they take and it alarms if it senses no breath in 20 seconds, or the breathing level slowing too much- was 279 for memory but worth it to me cos im such a worrier!!!! it might help if you end up being unable to settle Lilly on her side?
Thought id put some more pics of Violet up! I made my profile only viewable to friends so have sent you all a friend request!

Amanda, yea Levi's is very similar. It's already noticeably better shape.

Great pics Amanda :) took me a bit to get to notifications being only on my phone it's such a pain.
DH liked my iPhone photography yesterday hehe. He was like so what did you get up to today and I was like ahhh not much just taking photo's and editing them : P
Abby doesn't seem to want to sleep today like she normally does. I've got her swinging away but it's not doing much.
Lolpigs I jumped on that website and come across some blessed thistle and fenugreek tablets as a combined formula, think it was natures sunshine brand, is that the ones you were talking about?
Abby seems to be aggravating my right boob a bit. It hasn't blistered or broken open so all good at the moment but will keep an eye on it. Might get the doctor to check her on Tuesday to make sure she hasn't got any tongue tie happening.

-
Abby sleeps like that too unless she is in her swing.
-
Dan if you go to Low Milk supply under common concerns, there are tablets in seperate packets, Natures Sunshine is the brand yes.
Yes Amanda a little paranoid LOL. I'll have a look at that thanks!
Went out to lunch today over to my mums, Lilly was grumpy becuase she was tired but had a sleep in the bassinette while we were there. Just got home now so popped her in the bassinette to try and get her another nap before her next feed. She is sitting there talking to herself LOL
I have noticed Lilly drooling alot could she be starting to teethe already?
Hope everyone had a good day
-
Lolpigs i ordered the ones that have blessed thistle and fenugreek together. It's possible she could be teething, some babies are born with teeth.
I finally got Abby to sleep in the swing this arvo for a couple of hours.

CK got a quick question for you that I'm pretty sure you'll know :)
Now with BF I know that at night your body has a prolactin boost so say if I didn't feed overnight would that harm your supply to keep boosting? Can't seem to get my head around why the ABA lady said it was so important for my supply to be able to feed at night.
-
If you feed at night your body makes more milk because your using it, if you don't it only produces enough for day feeds. That's my understanding of it.
-
How do I get rid of the dummy? She is waking every time it falls out and its getting ridiculouss
-
I'm far from an expert but as far as I know and have experienced, overnight feeds are less crucial than the late afternoon/evening ones - the feeds before you go to sleep yourself. Prolactin boosts while you're sleeping to produce milk ready for morning and throughout the day, so feed often in the evenings up until bedtime and make sure she's completely drained both breasts if you're not planning on feeding overnight. Personally I find it uncomfortable when Alex misses his overnight feeds because I'm full and tend to start leaking.
It is very much a demand economy though - the more you feed, the more you produce.
-
That would explain why I leak at night, Levi only has a 4:30-5:00am feed.

Howdy Ladies :hello:
I hope you all had fabulous New Years Eves with your new bubbas, and your families.. I have been a little MIA lately as it is so hard to get on and actually type as I have my dragon of a MIL breathing down my neck every waking hour!!! I have been reading your posts on my phone... But its been hard to reply what with the tempurature here been in the 40's and Aubree wanting to feed every hour.. I barely have time to go to the toilet!
I think I am kinda of up to date with everything..
This trip has been an absolute nightmare.. I guarntee if I told you half the things that had been going on you would not believe me.. Its just been terrible! Every cry Aubree makes is wind.. It couldnt possibly because she is hungry or overtired or has a pooey bum! I think the worst night was when I had fed Aubree, put her to sleep and left her sleeping with DH on the couch so I could go down to the shops for 10 minutes and get an icecream cone before she woke for another feed.... I get home... DH is awake, and Aubree is gone! MIL had decided it would be a good idea to put her in the pram and take her for a walk at 8:30 at night when the tempurature was still 30 odd degrees outside.. By the time MIL got home Aubree was screaming her lungs out! MIL then tells me "Ohh she only just started as we starting walking up the driveway" ahhhh B******T!!!! There is no way my child would get herself so worked up in the 2 seconds it takes you to walk up the drive way! That was the last straw for DH he had words, and FIL even stepped in because he could obviously see that things were getting to me...
I thought things were getting better, clearly not! DH wanted to go out... But I didnt want to go without Aubree as I dont want to leave her with MIL.. MIL says "oh I wont hurt her" yeah right!! Oh and she put her in the 28yr cot/cage thing that probably has lead paint.. Because she wanted a bloody photo!!! THANK GOD WE GO HOME ON THE 5th!!! Otherwise I would be getting locked up in jail if it was any longer.. This doesnt include all the snide remarks her and her sister have been making about my breastfeeding, and how Aubree is always hungry... blah blah blah.. the list goes on and on and on!!!
Sorry for the rant girls.. Had to get that off my chest otherwise I am going to go mental!!!
I have my 6 week appt on the 6th (2 weeks late) I think I already have AF back, and Aubree will be getting her immunisations.. Im unsure about contreception as it took DH and I two years to concieve Aubree.. I think we are just going to have go with condoms..
Ive been looking at the Nursing Angel website (thanks Lolpigs) and Im going to be getting some of the vitamins.. Im a little worried about my supply.. I dont know if thats coz I am a tad stressed been down here or what!
I loooooooovvvvvveeeee all the photos that you guys have been putting up!! I must say we have a group of very gorgeous babies here!!!! Ill see if I can figure out how to add an album on here :)
