Sorry for the MIA, having DH issues.
Just had a massive fight about parental leave finances etc, and I got called fat cos all I do is sit around / go shopping all day - um wtf? I just had a baby! And I'm pretty muh back to my normal size 8 clothes anyway- I know he purposely just picked the worst thing he could say to me to hurt my feelings the most. I was like, I can't exercise till I've got a doctors clearance at my 6 week appointment on Friday and besides, he's got no right to say anything to do with my weight anyway. Soooooo angry I could scream.
-
CK that was the same as me that most I've ever expressed is 50mls and that was when I was super engorged.
Amanda hun the way he talks to you is terrible and I'm really worried about you and Violet. Does the fact that you had a traumatic birth not even enter his mind and it takes longer to exercise if you've had stitches and so what anyway he should love you for who you are.
-
Me too Amanda, I'm really worried for you, hes being very abusive. I really hope you get it sorted soon. Can you go stay with your mum or other family member for a few days?
-
Lolpigs could you get a bed/sleeping wedge maybe for her!? I know some babies are tummy sleepers but crikey she's rolling pretty early.
-
Thanks girls :) its so awful.. I'm going to book the councelling and see how things go. And sit down tonight once he and I have calmed down and tell him how hurt he has made me feel and that we need to discuss the way we communicate cos I can't continue being treated like this. And my tummy is pretty much flat again, it's just the skin that's a bit yuck- ugh but regardless who cares?! It's irrelevant, I just had a baby! He just knew that comment would bother me heaps!
Thanks for the support and sorry to whinge again about things with him, it's just so frustrating! I'll let you know how the councelling goes.. I intended to wait a couple more weeks till I felt a bit less exhausted but I think I'll book it for his next day off work..

Amanda :| that boy needs a good kick in the goolies! I should send you a pic of my fine fat self you can show him! just to let him see how bloody lucky he is! You are freaking GORGEOUS! with ALL capitals! don't allow him to call you anything BUT that!
He really is showing himself to not be worthy of you.
WE love you tho! and you are funny, smart, sweet, kind, gorgeous, and THIN! (I have seen a pic, you are skinny gurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrl!) (biaaaaaaaaatch) (love you xx)
Tell him his doodle is small! and until he grows it there will be no bumping uglies!
-
Hahahhahaha Nikky you cheered me up :) hahaha well if he wants to try put down my appearance I can tell you what, he won't be getting any *action* anyway! He really is shooting himself in the foot in that regard! He cant expect to xall me fat and then have me want to be seen without clothes on! Thanks for making me feel better :) you girls are so great :) just for arguments sake I went and tried on my old size 8 short shorts hehe and they FIT! Heh.
Hugs ladies, you all make me feel so much better!

Majorly jealous if the size 8s lol. I'd be happy with a 12! Can't complain to much I'm back at my pre baby weight.
Levi isn't happy again, had the grumpys this morning, had his needles and was happy.

Hi!!
Amanda sorry to hear your DH is hurting your feelings. Don't feel bad sharing your problems, thats what we are all here for. I hope the counselling works for you both. It's easy for him to blow off steam by hurting you but you should really be a team. It gets trickier as kids grow and they understand what is going on and get upset by it. It should be nipped in the bud now. Maybe when DH is calm ask him what kind of home he wants Violet to grow up in. He may need to see a psych himself. He may have issues from his past or his upbringing? I had PND with DS and I saw a pysch and it was the best thing I could've done, changed my life. Just throwing things out there for you to think about :)
Lolpigs don't get too caught up in wanting everything to be taught now. Great idea to try and if it works even better. But I know first hand that babies are different. I used to think with DS that it was my brilliant parenting and reading...HA!!! Jess won't fall asleep on her own at all whereas DS would. I've spoken to tresillian and they said by all means try but after 3 months it can start to become a problem. Until then it is survival especially in my case. I've given up worrying and just trying to go with the flow to get by!!
We bought a new car today :) DH uses our car for work quite abit and the thought of being left with 2 kids and no car was frightening! Testing cars being sleep deprived was challenging lol. Get in 10 days Woot!!

I think Jan is on the right track Amanda - I'd ask him would he think it acceptable for a guy to speak to his daughter the way he speaks to you? And definitely book in counselling sooner rather than later - it sounds like he may have grown up witnessing this kind of behaviour and believing that it's ok when it's not.
Wow Lolpigs, rolling already? Alex tries, he sort of pushes off with one leg and arches his body but hasn't worked out how to tuck his arm under - I'm quite happy for him to take his time with it :) I'd look at maybe one of those sleep positioner things if she'll tolerate it although if she can roll back I wouldn't be too concerned.
Went to the movies today with DD to see Puss in Boots - other than waking for a quick feed and stirring a bit during the noisier parts, Alex slept through the whole thing :) Took him in his sling and he just cuddled against me the whole time. Needle day is tomorrow, I'm sooooooo not looking forward to it poor little man. But better than the diseases, especially since apparently there's a whooping cough epidemic in WA at the moment.
Oh and yay for the new car Jan - what did you get?
-
Yeah Ck already! I am concerned becuase I dont know how reliably she can roll back. I've tried a wedge but she just gets all jammed up against it and I'm worried about her getting caught and something happening. My daughter seems to not want to be a baby for very long LOL
Haha for him sleeping through CK my DD wouldn't she would try and stay awake and listen then get grumpy and cry becuase she was tired. Does it all the time. Just did it now with the shopping arriving. Took ages to settle her. Have her downstairs on her cot mattress becuase its been super hot here today. I'm going to have to sleep down here tonight with her on a blow up mattress. Should I just put her on her cot mattress and butt the 2 together and have the other side against the couch so she cant roll off?
Thanks Jan, I just worry about creating bad habits but DD isn't ready to self settle yet. She does it very occasionally, but I try once every sleep. I called Tresillian and they told me to try for 20mins.. I just ended up with hysterical baby so wont be doing that again. I guess she will learn when she is ready? Also she still has bouts of colic so those times mean in the sling with mum.
Yay Jan what car did you get?
I hope you can sort it out Amanda. Jealous of a Size 8, I still have post baby weight I need to get off, I was size 14 before.
-
Lolpigs that would probably work well with the mattress against the couch. I've found it good to introduce different situations at a young age. I could take DS1 anywhere overnight and he would just sleep with me really easy, DS2 was a different story and would just never settle to sleep with me - not sure what I did wrong with him LOL. And miss A I put back into bed with me alot at her 5am feed, so I do a combination of her sleeping on her own in the bassinet at night and with me in the morning - works well for us anyway.
-
Ohhhhh forgot to tell you girls! Zoe had her 9 week checkup today...Eek, 9 weeks old already!!!!
Okay, so her length is 59.5cm and her weight is 6.06kgs. My lil heffalump xxx
-
So know what you mean Nikky :). Can't believe these lil babies are growing so quick!!
Bit of a woohoo today. Abby had a really good BF this arvo - could hear her gulping :). Then she only had about 80mls formula afterwards.
-
OMG
Zoe just woke up choking and screaming! :(( :(( :((
She was acting like she needed to puke and I could smell some vomit, so scooped her up and patted her on the back etc but she just wouldn't stop with the choking/not able to catch her breath blood curdling SCREAMING! omg it was horrific!
Hubby has managed to quieten her down, but she sounds so snuffy in the nose :(
Gawd, I was about to call the ambulance as she just couldn't catch her breath!
WTF!!!
We are sitting on the couch with her atm, she is asleep on daddy's chest...

Thanks Dan, I still woke every hour to check her LOL couldnt help it. she slept from 7pm - 4:30am when she stirred I just put my hand on her and she went back to sleep but she had a bout of colic today so prolly wore her out. I still cant believe she is already rolling.
Little miss wont go to sleep in her back anymore.
Oh no Nikky :( I hope Zoe is ok!
Grats on the BF Dan I am still pumping away LOL

Hugs To Miss Zoe, sounds scary xx
Hugs to everyone else too. I'm having a bit if an emotional low day today, after hurting my knee I'm feeling the pain and hubby's gone back to work as of yesterday. I went shopping for some retail therapy but can't do that every day lol. Might go harass my mum for company today lol.
