Yas i miss being pregnant even tho i had a horrible pregnancy, i bleed on & off till 26wks Had intense m/s up till 20wks & than just had it mildly for the last 18wks.
I had a horrible & traumatic birth and yet i'm upset there wont be anymore kids for us.
I know deep down it's better off that i don't do this again & next time i may end up worse off but still a part of me is devastated!
I'm hoping as she gets older i'll be more content with not having anymore & just enjoy being able to move pass the baby stage.
What will everyone be doing with birth control? Even tho DH is dead set against having anymore he refuses to get the snip, so i will be going on the Implanon or IUD as i know i couldn't handle falling pregnant anytime soon.

Gosh... Taylah was so unsettled this morning dispite all I got acheived, she just wouldnt sleep. She was awake from 7:30 this morning until 1pm! It was exhausting and I felt so sorry for DD1 because I had to keep telling her to be quiet so I could get Taylah to sleep. I think she had a belly ache as she finally did a big fart and then settled down. I managed to get her on the boob to calm her down but I knew she wasnt hungry, I just needed her to calm down for a second! Though it didnt help for long because 30 seconds later she projectiled up the whole feed! :( Anyway, I eventually got her to sleep and got to spend some time with DD1 outside and have a cuppa. DD1 is now having rest time in front of the TV and Taylah is asleep. So Im going to take the oppertunity to lay down myself, even if I dont sleep... my body needs rest!
No Yas... I havent forgotten what it was like to be pregnant yet and I dont miss it!!!! Even though I dont get much sleep atm, its so nice not sleeping with a huge belly! DF wants more but Im more than happy with the 2 I have :)
I have no idea what Ill be doing for birth control. Im hopeless at the pill (mini pill) as I never remember to take it. The depo shot goes banana's with my system and they say the implanon will too. The doc in the hospital reccomended mirena.. but Im not too sure on that either. Im going to work it out at my 6 week check. I want DF to get the snip but he wont..
Hows everyones bleeding going? My pretty much stopped on day 5 and went away for a day or so and then came flooding back.. then stops and then comes flooding back. Its driving me insane!!
-
Hi Yas!!! Lovely to hear from you Hun. So glad you got an awesome sleep last night :)
Cheshire-Im sorry you had a crap pregnancy. I had a heap of scary bleeding with dd and was petrified of my pregnancy with ds but only got ms thank goodness. It lasted most of the pregnancy but on the upside, it did help keep my weight down. With birth control, I'm in a few minds. We still haven' t discounted another child in the future and at my age I don't really want to go back on the pill for 12-18 months then have to worry about getting it out of my system and then ttc again. I'm thinking we might just use condoms as much as we hate that. I'll get a mini pill script from the oh at my 6 week checkup but I probably w Ont get it filled-I don't like the IDE of going back on the pill at all, it's a mind over matter thing really.
Back from the office already, my superstar staff have everything under control but there's not alot of work being output. They are wOrking hard but as I'm not there to constantly ask where things are at it's easy to procrastinate and delay starting things.
Xx

My bleeding is all over the place, i was told no heavy lifting, take it easy etc... because of the hemorrhage, but when you have 2 other kids it's kinda hard.
So of course when i over do it the bleeding gets worse.
Total PIA.
I thought about the pill but i know i wont remember to take it when i should, I don't want to rely on b/fing & he isn't keen on condoms or getting the snip.
I did tell him in that in 18 months he really needs to consider getting the snip as i don't want to be on BC forever.
MM sorry you had such a bad time today.
Star glad everything at your work seems to be under control :)

Hi all, how are things? I'm a little worried that things are going too well. Mr T is a wonderful little man and oh so incredibly predictable but you know, there's always time for the wheels to fall off. My house has been inundated with flowers and I'm feeling very loved by family and friends. It's a really wonderful time.
No doubt I'll be posting here tomorrow freaking out about something....hopefully not his weight as we're having a weigh in tomorrow and appt with the mchn. My only concern is that he isn't feeding long enough and seems quite sleepy for a bigger newborn? I also want to talk to her about expressing.
-
Hey :)
Things are ok here :) We are in our unsettled period in the day which is exhausting. She just cant seem to settle into sleep until after 12am. This starts at about 7pm. Im wondering if the bath is over stimulating her? She so utterly exhausted after it. She has a bath around 8-8:30.
We are off to our 2 week check tomorrow.. Ide be suprised if she put on a large amount of weight as she seems to chuck most of her feeds up :( Shes getting longer though and is almost out of her 0000's (more so length wise). Will be interesting to see. Better go, shes crying again.
-
We have the health nurse coming to the house next Mon for her 2wk check up.
I can't wait to see how much she has grown, she is going to be long & skinny.
All is well here with Bambi, can't complain about her but i can certainly complain about my older 2 lol. Soooo looking forward to school holidays being over so we can start doing our normal activities again.
I really wish we would have some decent weather for longer than 1 day. We are all over being stuck inside the house.
-
Mm- I
Missed one of your posts! My bleeding stopped on day 4....it's virtually non exist t now, hardly even spotting. I'm sorry your dd is having a bit of unsettled time. It might be the bath though usually babies find them calming. Are you doing baby massage? I find this really settles Mr T. He also seems to have an unsettled belly, massive spew last night and then woke 3 hourly for feeds. I am going to be really interested to see his weight this arvie.
Cheshire-where abouts are you? I'm on the coast and while it looks miserable it's not raining. Hope you guys can get out and about soon.
Xx
-
Yeah she gets a massage after her bath :) she loves it. I think it just makes her so bloody tired and she cant comprehend it lol.
Her 2 weeks check went great and she passed with flying colours :) Shes back at her birth weight (shes put on around 370 grams (ish) ) in a week and is now 3.99kg (she was born 3.94). So Im over the moon and seems her chuckyness itsnt doing her any harm which is a relief! I had a much better night with her lastnight because we.... co-slept! She just wants to be close to me all the time so im just going with that. DD1 co-slept until she was 6 months and it didnt do her any harm. Bit of a PITA though as I spent alot of money on her bassinet.. oh well. She might still sleep in there during the day... Though atm Im trying to get her to sleep in her swing as shes unsettled as we have been out and about all day and shes overtired, it seems to be calming her abit.
The MCHN said its normal for them to be unselttled late arvo/early evening (for up to 5 hours!) as their digestive system is still very immature and all the feeds over the day etc catch up with them and make them abit chuckier or windy.
It was so nice to get out of the house today and I had my first breastfeeding in public session today and it went flawlessly! I was suprised :) and pleased! We do the football hold at home and I wasnt sure if I could do the cradle hold at all while out (football hold doesnt leave much to the imagination!) but I did! I think I only flashed my nipple once which I think is a pretty good effort :)
I had to wake Taylah for her feed lastnight. She had been asleep for 6 hours and would have kept going if i let her. I felt bad.. like i was starving her. lol. It was a bad idea though and I dont reccomend waking them. She has such a dodgy/sleepy feed. She surely would wake if she was hungry yeah? Shes not much of a cryer, so im no so sure! So she went to sleep at 10pm, I encouraged her awake at about 4:15am and she was back asleep about 5:15 and I had to get her up at 9am as I had to get DD1 to childcare! Im ofcourse not expecting it always to be like that!
WOW this is a very "all about me" post, sorry girls! Im almost done lol..
She also grew 2 cm and her head grew .6 of a centimetre.
Ok Im done :) and shes asleep.. so time to have a milo and some down time before I have to pick DD1 up. Hope you are all having a wonderful wednesday!
Oh and happy 2 weeks old Riley!!! xox
-
I'm in Sth Est Vic :)
MM yay for Taylah being back over her birth weight that is fantastic & we co-sleep here as well so much easier with feeds.
Seems like this will be a quiet thread, which is strange because so many of the early Octo bubs were born in Sept but seeing as we use the FB group i don't think many of us log into BB anymore.
-
Fab news Mm!!! I also have good news to report, Mr T is 310gms over birth weight at 4990gms. I am thrilled!
-
-
yay star thats awesome news!!!!!!!!!!!! :D wowzers, almost 5kg! he would be well and truly in 000's now yeah?
-
He never fit into 0000-lol. He fits into 000 easily but bonds is a smaller fit and he's nearly into 00's already in them, mainly for length and we are using cloth nappis so that makes a bit of difference. Mr T's sleep is getting worse-still okay but going to bed at 8:30 then awake at 12,3 and then 6! I think I recall reading they do go on a feeding frenzy between 12-16 days but still, that doesn't make it any easier. I'm totally stuffed but he goes back down super easily, our only drama is burping him. It takes ages. Our mchn said what Mm's said so we're just waiting for his tummy to develop and the wind issues should pass.
We've got our newborn photos today-yay! Will have to make myself look halfway decent with makeup and had planned to wear a dress ut it's raining here and might be cold....hmmm.
How is everyones bellies looking? I'm wearing one of those wrap things and I think it's been keeping my belly size fairly tri
But woah do I have some excess crinkle skin going on. No more bikinis for me!!
Righto, off to express somemilk now. I do an express from one side in the morning and an express from one side in the evening. We've been giving Mr t a bottle each night of 80-100mls and then he still goes on the boob so I'm expecting him to take high volumes and trying to build up a stash already. Oh the fun of it all :) bfing is super important to me though, I exclusively expressed for dd for 4 months after she refused the boob when I fell pregnant so I'm def committed! How long are all you ladies planning to bf for? My plan is 12 months andthen probably express for him to takemilk fro
A sippy cup.
Have a great day all.Xx
-
Bambi had her photos taken last Fri & i can't wait to see how they turned out.
With b/fing i feed DD2(K) till she was 16months then she weaned, so i'm hoping to make it that long again but i'll be happy to hit 12 months.
My belly is all jelly lol i need to invest in one of those wraps i think.
Eta
I hope organic girl doesn't mind me posting this & i don't know if you ladies already know this but she had her Baby yesterday & just beat the induction :)
-
woo HOO!!!! Got my milk!!! It's not even the end of day 2!!!!!!
---------
Leah and Dan
Lucy 5
Minnie 2
Pippi due 29 sept
-
Congrats again OG :D
Had a long night here but i knew we would she slept all day & evening, so i knew she would have her awake period early morning.
3-5am she was wide awake, Not crying just not sleeping either lol
-
Woohoo Og! My milk took ages so good in you!!!
Cheshire, hope you ate feeling okay today. I also watch how much awake and asleep
Time my little man has during the day to gauge how the night will be.
He's turning into Mr Prefictable though, waking again at 12:40, 3am and I'm just feeding him now. I actually heard Jim
Stir around 6ish but he cries when he's pooing and I have a feeling we've been getting him
Up when he's not actually awake and therefore he's not having a good full feed. So this morning, I waited and sure enough after 30 seconds there was dead silence and he was asleep again. This happened once every 15 mins but the last time I checked him his eyes were open so I got him up. He still seems more interested in
Sleeping on me rather than feeding though-lol.
Dh had a rough night with dd and was up with her from 3-5am. They are both still sleeping. Not sure what is going on with dd and she's a fan sleeper normally. I did have a bit of a cry last night though because dd really didn't want me, just daddy. Mummy makes her cry even harder by just being in the room apparently :(
-
morning :)
re breastfeeding - im just a go with the flow kind of person so i just take it one day at a time. if i make it to 12 months that would be great... if i make it to next week, that will also be great iykwim.
yay OG thats wonderful!!!!
pretty good night here.. we went to bed about 9:45pm and she woke at 3:15 for a feed and then woke at 8am.
yesterday was pretty crap... she kept power spewing on me every chance she got :(
-
I'm not too tired yet, but i bet i hit the brick wall soon lol
MM bummer with the power spews, she reminds me of my DD2.
Star
-
 Cheshire, almost half way through the day... hang in there. Your eyes must be buldging out of your head!
-
Oh and happy 2 weeks Ty xox
-
It wouldn't be so bad if i actually got to bed before 12.
Happy 2 weeks Ty, Bambi will be 2 weeks tomorrow.
What is everyone buying their little ones for Christmas? We wont be buying her much but i've been told by DD1 Santa will be bringing her stuff.
So we have to buy something from Santa.
We are also doing our own SS in the Octo thread for the babies.
-
We have had quite a good day today.. pretty content and not much spew at all :D I was playing with her before and got the biggest gummiest smile, it was so cute and i managed to catch it on camera :)
We arnt buying Taylah much for christmas... if anything. I think you realise when you have older children, it really isnt nessesary ( we went way OTT with DD1's first xmas.. she was 3 months old!). Though like you Cheshire, I think DD1 is going to clue on if Tay doesnt get anything for christmas so we will probably just grab a couple things.
-
How did everyone's weekend go?
Ours was good & Bambi has her weigh in tomorrow, i think she'll be 3.6kg so we shall see how close i am with my guess.
-
Gl with the weigh in Cheshire :)
We had a good weekend, I've started the antibiotics for the uti and feeling a bit better, still having 2 hour sleeps during the day though. Dh has gone to get me some iron tablets because I'm going back to work properly this week. Not full days but as needed, so prob 20-25 hrs a week in the office. I can do a fair bit from home these days.
So I've been trying to watch Mr T to see if he's in a routine he prefers and I think I'm figuring it out. He has a big awake chunk mid morning and then in the evening so before and after his big night sleep period. Other than the cluster feed, he feeds every 2-4 hours.....I've got about 1.5 liters of ebm immune freezer and we've been giving him 100ml bottles in the evening and then top up bf to get him used to the bottle. We bought a bottle warmer and it heats so fast so dh should be to provide milk as Mr T demands and then let me know how much has been taken so I can express the right amount.
Sleep is still much the same here-last night he woke at 11:30, 2:30 and then 6:30. I'm happy with it but as we are putting him down at 8:30, I l'm thinking in the next couple of weeks to start dreamfeeding. I never did it with dd though so not sure.
Is everyone planning to get bub weighed again soon? Im not sure we will until the 6 week pead check up.....
-
Bambi will have a weigh in at her 4wk & then 8wk health nurse appts.
Then again 4 & 6 months, unless i get a stupid health nurse who i can't stand....
They recently changed health nurses here & i'm yet to meet the new one & i wont meet her till the 4wk appt.
Our sleep is all over the place at the moment, she is feeding every 2hrs atm & feels like just as i get her to sleep she is wakes for a feed again.
Star good luck with going back to work next week & hope your feeling much better soon :)
-
Thanks Cheshire :)
Bambi loves her mummy milk by the sounds of it. Do you count 2 hour feedings as 1pm then 3pm? Or 2 hours from when she finished feeding? Maybe she's having a bit of a growth spurt?
Mr T will be weighed at his 6 wk pead appt and then 8 week injections and then at his 4 and 6 month injections I guess. I don't have much faith in the weight taking at the gp, their scales are vastly different from the ones at the hospital-as in up to a kg. They put the scales on the soft bed so I think that's why....
-
1pm then 3pm etc... i was always told to count it from the time she starts a feed. Really she is a quick feeder no longer than 10 mins a side but at 3am 10 mins seems like forever lol
I think she might be having a growth spurt, either that or my supply was lacking which wouldn't surprise me as i struggled with supply issues last time.
-
That's how I count the feeds too. If it is supply then the constant feeding will help boost it :) Ds feeds the best overnight as far as length which is pretty annoying! I'd rather he be slow during the day and speedy at night.
-
Oooh maybe Mr T reads this thread, I put him down at 8:30 and just feeding now. Actually we're done on one side (dh is currently burping bless him) and it was a 10 minute quick feed. So woweee. I wonder if I write that I want to win lotto that will also come true despite the fact we don't buy tickets? Lol
-
lol you can only try Star.
We had a much better night as well, she feed at 8:30 & then 2, then once again at 5:30 & she is still sleeping.....
-
That's awesome Cheshire! Mr T woke at 3:30 and then 7. I'm really strugglingwith that middle feed, he just gets so sleepy no matter what I do.
-
Morning girls :)
Tay will be getting weighed at every MCHN appointment aswell. Next one is next week.
Seems we all had a simular night :) Tay fed at 8pm and was asleep by 8:30. Woke at 2:30 and and then up at 7:30 for the day. Poor darlin has the hicccups again! Shes always has the hiccups after a feed!
-
Bambi is upto 3810g, which is a gain of 400g in 2 weeks!
-
wow!!! thats wonderful Cheshire! Good work :)
-
Thanks MM feeling kinda proud of my boobies & of my little girl :D
-
Oh and your new Avi just got uploaded!!!! How hot do you look!!
-
I love my new avi, it looks so girly which is how i feel at the moment being surrounded by girls
Your new avi shouldn't be too far off MM, are you getting a whole new one or just adding a pink bundle to your current one?
-
Awesome mummy work Cheshire !!! Fab weight gain :)
Hmmm maybe I should get a new avi sorted.
