That's what i did MM, as along as they stuck to the Alice in wonderland theme i didn't care :)
I do love seeing what they come up while trying to stick with the theme.
Thanks Star :D
Tonight will either be very good or shocking....to date he's been like clockwork waking twice a night but my prediction is tonight will be different. Hes been a bit out of sorts all day, snacking hourly and waking to do very nosy poos! He really only rested and didn't sleep except for a few hours this arv in the swing but I never gave him a sleep in the cot today as we were at the office, then he fell asleep in the swing and I didn't want to move him. To ighg he was really unsettled and cried more than usual and even squealed a few times. :( it was like his belly was sore. Just before I put him to bed he did a massive chunky spew, it was so gross and stinky. I was glad I washoldi g him though as if he'd been in bed he might have choked. He pretty much just slept through it so I didn't get a chance to feed him again and he's in bed now. I can hear him moaning a bit but that's pretty normal really. Anyway, we'll see how my prediction works out.
How's everyone else going?
:( first day alone with the girls tomorrow :( wish dh could take another week off but bc he had his appendix out earlier this year he only has a wks worth of hols... My head hurts already! Darn school holidays!!! How r u girls??

Bambi has turned into a screaming refluxy baby.
Last night was actually pretty good tho, we learnt not what not to do from the night before when she scream for 4 hours & nothing i did helped.
Star hope your night wasn't too bad & Mr T is feeling better today.
OG i dreaded my DH going back to work but it wasn't as bad as i thought & i'm sure you'll do great as well :D
Oh no Cheshire. Your poor little Bambi :( I hope she doesn't really have reflux....that's horrible.
OG-you can do it Hun :) I'm on the other end of the stick going to work and leaving Mr T. It's hard too.....if only money grew on trees.
My prediction was totally wrong! He woke at midnight, 2am then 6am. He's really loving that short turnaround in the middle of the night and I know it's because he's not feeding well enough because he's so tired. I'm thinking we might not feed him right away, do thenappy change first or just let him whinge for a bit longer and wake himself up a bit more.....not sure.
Me 2 Star, she shows all the classic signs but she doesn't vomit she constantly throws up small amounts of milk.
We learned her comforting sucking made it worse as she would just chuck it up, so now i just give her a dummy if she can't settle & wants to suck.
Now i'm also a little worried because i wont let her comfort suck that her weight gains & my supply will start to dwindle. Guess we will find out in 2 weeks.
It was actually the health nurse who said it sounds & looks like she has reflux, i was shocked as i always thought they had poor weight gains & vomited.
She said if she comforts sucks a lot it would explain the good weight gain & as for the vomiting she does the Posseting instead.
Yay for having a good night & i do the nappy change before each feed, also give her enough time to wake up otherwise she just falls asleep on the boob within 5mins & then wakes 40mins later hungry again.
Hi girls :D You may not remember me, i haven't been in here lol....
I haven't read through anything other than this page but it sounds like bubbies are doing well :D
Mr R is an awesome sleeper still, and just a very settled happy baby :D He hardly ever cries.
He had a checkup on monday and he had put on 480 grams in 2 weeks! I was very proud of him lol. Big brother A is loving having a baby brother around- he shows him off to everyone and dotes on him.
It seems iv'e been lucky, my DF is still on holidays, he goes back to work next tuesday so Mr R will nearly be 4 weeks old.
I'll be back later Mr R is hungry!!!
How is everyone??? xxxx
Yas-so wonderful to see you posting babe. I've missed you! I am so glad your bubba is so happy and content, that's wonderful. How is your other little one coping?
Cheshire-thanks, I will try the pre feed nappy change tonight and see how we go.
Mr T has a bit of a cold and been a bit grizzly this morning, I would guess mostly because I kept moving him and all he wanted to do was sleep! He had 3 hour feeds tOday which makes me a bit nervous as he has been feeding a bit more regular than that. So we'll see how tonight goes.
What sort of awake time is everyone getting? Mr T is having a couple of hours in the morning and 1-2 hours in the evening and then about half an hour each feed.
Hi girls.
I havent posted much because Im dealing with abit of stuff atm regarding breastfeeding and on such a pro breastfeeding site, I was feeling very pressured. As much as I hate it, I have decided to make the switch to formula for DD. She was up to feeding constantly for days and I had a very sad little girl that just kept fussing and getting upset. I expressed lastnight (5-6 hours after a previous feed) and it seems she is so upset because she is hungry and my supply is dropping. I only managed to get 60(ish) mls all together and thats from massaging and getting every last drop out. So she has been draining me and still very upset and hungry at the end of it... Im no suprised. I couldnt get her to keep sucking when nothing was there to encourage more supply. I also have a problem jaw (it discolates everytime I open my mouth and then goes back into place when I close) so have started taking some pretty strong pain killers (this as well as the stress from the pain is probably causing supply issues) and I dont want these getting through to her.
Its not a decision I made lighty and its going to take a little while before I come to terms with it so I wont be around as much as seeing the breastfeeding talk hurts a little atm. But i thought I would let you know whats going on.
MM - so glad you posted hun and honestly? I think you are making the right and very best decision. I would do exactly the same thing if I were in the situation. I can totally understand that the BFing talk hurts..........I guess I can only liken it to my CS and the fact I feel disappointed about that and hearing about natural births makes me upset too. People saying or inferring I should have or could have tried harder for my VBAC also makes me upset/angry/you name it. Please know that you have my support with your decision. What formula are you using? I used formula for a couple of months with DD and thankfully only had to try one type and she took to it easily.
Xx
Thankyou for being so understanding star  Im using NAN HA GOLD. Its expensive (compared to others on the market) but after lots of research I worked out that it would be the best for Tay as DD1 has both eczema and asthma and Im trying to avoid that this time. She seems to be tolorating it quite well.
MM- babe, and definately no judgement here, I pretty much FF DS1 from 5 weeks, I hated BF. I don't mind BF so much this time, but I don't think I'll exclusively BF for very long. I didn't want to say anything either though for the same reason! I'm sorry your upset about it though, it sounds like BF is important to you? Just remember, FF doesn't make you any less of a mother sweetheart, and it sounds like Tay is better for the FF...
Big hugs, and I hope you feel better soon xxxxx
Star- I've missed you girls too :) how is Mr T going? Is he feeling better? Are you back at work now? Xxxx
Afm- argh, I'm tired. I think the adrenalin is wearing off now and I'm starting to feel it. I'm starting to not like BF again- I don't hate it and I won't stop yet but I'm thinking I might start comp feeding soon. I've been feeling really sad lately, I dint know how I'll cope when DF goes back to work :( I'm also still majorly fat, which doesn't help....
See this is why I don't post!! I'm just a whinging unhappy biatch ATM lol.
Xxxx to all my lovely girls!
Double post
Big group hug :)
Mm-I've heard about that formula and all good things too! I hope you keep posting in here Hun.
Yas- the mw at the hospy told me that our hormones are 30to
Es more when pregnant and it takes a while for us to stabalise after birth. I think feeling a bit sad is totally normal Hun. I bet you don't look fat! I struggle with the whole post baby body thing too.
With the whole bfing discussion, I guess my struggle is being away from my babies. It's very hard to leave the
Even though it's with dh and go to the office. The whole milk thing is a pita but I do it because it makes me feel slightly better about being away from them. I shouldn't complain because at the moment I'm only doing half days at work and this is our choice but it does play on me emotionally. And I really hate expressing. Hate with a capital H.
Xx
I second the group  We are all awesome mumma's to our babies :D
Star- You can complain hun, having to leave your bubba's, even for half a day sucks. And your an awesome mum for expressing! TBH I wouldn't, I hate expressing too. I know it's normal to be abit sad, I'll be over it soon hopefully :) How is Miss X coping with Mr T? Is mr T feeling better? Xxxxx
MM- I hope I didn't upset u Hun! I hope your ok! Xxxx
I really dont know what to do....
She wouldnt settle today until I finally gave in and gave her boob and this was 1 hr after formula. I know I need to make a decision and just stick with it but I just dont know what to do!! :(
Mm- why don't you do both for a while? Like comp feed sort of thing? I think you might need to bs as to do that anyway because you don't want to end up with mastitis.I really think if it causing you to bs upset, choose the choice that seems the less upsetting. Xx
Im starting to feel weak and feverish already :( I think I might just feed her throughout the day for now and express after feeds to try and boost my supply and give her a bottle of formula before bed at night so I can express that whole feed so build up abit of a stash in the fridge and freezer. That way if I give formula the flick, I got back up top ups stored if shes extra hungry. I will see how that pans out before I stop all together. My baby and my body isnt liking it one little bit.
NOw that sounds like a plan MM! :) and it's nice for me to have a pump friend. Lol. But in all seriousness expressing willmhelp avoid the fever/mastitis. There's some herbs you can take to boost and also reduce supply too Hun, just ask if you want details etc. Do you use a dummy? I was just thinking she might like the suck to put her off to sleep?
MM no need to feel guilty about FF, I comp feed Maddi from 2wks & then FF from 6wks.
I can understand how you feel tho
Yas vent away it's what we are here for but some great big  for you
Star  don't want you to feel left out ;)
If anyone want to join the FB octo group you'd be more than welcome to :D
AFM things are going well here, i caved & gave Bambi a dummy but it seems to be working because she is chucking up less & is heaps more content now.
bbl she just woke up
Hey Cheshire, I'd like to join that fb group if that's cool? I kep bb pretty secret in real life but I'll pm you my details so you can add me :)
Of course we are always happy to have more people to chat too :D
Stupid dog next door woke up my 2yr old, so now she is wide awake because she had a 3hr "nap" & is full energy.
Gonna be a looooooong night :(
Thanks Cheshire :) my dd tOok ages to go to sleep tonight too.....
Not much happening here, cleaned the house, re-organized all the girls clothes & i even cleaned the toy room all before 11 o'clock today.
Hope everyone is doing ok :)
Hi girls.
I have been busy the past couple days trying to boost my supply. I have been expressing after every feed (except at night) and starting taking fenugreek 3 days ago. DD was so unsettled after the formula (she ended up having about 3 bottles over 3 days.. so not that much) so have given it the flick altogether. I have stopped taking the painkillers I was taking and Im dealing with nurofen and panadol. I am seeing my doc about my jaw at my 6 week check... I had it the entire pregnancy.. they didnt want to do too much to me then and just prescribed codine. Poor kid.
Anyhoo, DD is much happier now and back to pooing like a trooper (im thinking thats why she was so sad because she didnt poo for 2 days when she had the formula!). My supply is so so , but not as bad as it was. Shes getting better and better at feeding which is nice.. she pretty much just latches on herself now :)
Thanks for listening to all my going on's girls... things still arnt perfect regarding feeding, but we are getting there and im confident I have made the right decision. At the end of the day, it really doesnt matter how we feed our babies, as long as they are fed!
Im losing my mojo lately... I think ive run out of steam aswell. It would be lovely to have an arvo nap! Its just a no go with a toddler who doesnt sleep during the day anymore :(
Very quiet in here lately, I hope everyone is ok.
Had Tay's 4 week check today. Everything is perfect, no issues. Shes now 4400 grams (she was 3990, 2 weeks ago). Gosh the MCHN's talk alot of crap at the appointments... Ive learned it just "nod and agree" with Taylah. With DD1 I remember taking everything so seriously...
Next appointment in 4 weeks.
Also first immunisations in 4 weeks. Is everyone immunising in here?
Thats my fault MM i got Star added to the FB group, your more than welcome to join if you want as well.
I was told in our area they are immunizing at 6 weeks because of whooping cough & yes we are.
Bambi is 4010g & 52cms at 3w2d old :D
Sounds like Taylah is doing great & i agree with the nurses talking crap.
The MCHN did say 6 weeks but I thought she was just doing her generally ramblings... I might pop in and ask her about it next time im over that way to ask her why 6 weeks but Im thinking thats why. Ive forgotten how long Tay is.. I think 53.2 or something. I cbf getting up to look lol.
Yeah the FB group sounds good :) I too keep my BB life very private.. is it a secret group? Ill send you my details.
We are immunizing but I thought at 8 weeks. I'll have to dig out the red book to check.
Tay sounds like she's doing awesome and so does Bambi. I have no idea what Ty weighs....I might try and weigh him on our digital scales maybe? Probably not accurate though. He's getting fatter though, it's hard to dry his neck because I can't see it-lol.
The fb group is great and the ladies are absolutely lovely.
Yea it's a secret group MM :D
Star it's usually 8 weeks, but because of the whooping cough outbreaks they are doing it earlier. I still might leave it till 8wks.
thanks :)
6 weeks just seems so young compared to 8 weeks.. lol it sounds so silly when I write it out!
I agree mm, I'm going to wait until 8 weeks
Our health nurse said only some GPs will do it at 6wks & the rest wont do it till 8wks.
The community centre nurse who Vax do it t 6wks.
hey girls :D
can i join the FB group?
xxx
You sure can Yas, PM your details & i add you.
If your friends with MM or Star on FB then they could add as well :D
Sure Yas :) Ill add you :D I miss you!!! xo
Yayay Yas
Hehe, i hardly ever manage to get on here anymore, and i think this thread is about to die lol. MM i love your new avi!!!! xxxx
I know that's 3 threads i've killed now, my bad lol
